way too much cheap crap.... unreliable pwr equipment... they should remove the bottom quality per item or model or type... time is money wasted if the equipment or item fails for the project it was intended for... then you have to go back and do a long line refund... so, a customer really has to think about a potential purchase and its service life while shopping. Consequently, a customer is debating whether or not that item of interest will do or last for the project it would be intended for... I have been in better and bigger Harbor Freight stores. I can't say I have been in worse upon reflection. First of all, the store seems smaller than most. This translates into them not having a lot of things. The things they do have are hard to find. Customer assistance doesn't exist. Tip: If you do plan on buying something there get in and get out before the check out line builds up. They have like three or four check outs, but I have been there when only one was working. The line to check out would back up through the store. Then when you would get up to the front of the line, someone completely oblivious would walk through the social distancing area straight to a check out. The cashier saw it all happen, and still took care of the line cutter first. I thought it was going to start a fight. These are crazy COVID times I guess. read more

Keep in mind you get what you pay for. Caveat emptor. Sure most if not all of the tools are here are Made in China. Some of the things are made in India and Pakistan. The tools here are along the same lines as Northern tool, Cheap and basic, so if you need a spare set for the motorcycle or ATV 5-10 bucks you should be set. I even own a small set cheapo offset wrenches, two hot glue guns, Ax, a torque wrench. Drill tips and A few air hoses storage reel, Air tools. Its cheaply made and for light duty to medium duty, Now I also have a set of Good wrench, and various wrenches that are Cobalt, Snap on, Craftsman, Husky. It's cost is proportional to the amount of use, and quality. Pick and choose what you need and what is in your budget. They also have an option to buy an extended warranty for some of the air tools at the register, I usually think of these tools as disposable. This pains me to give my favorite little hardware store a 2 star rating but the customer service (or lack there of from David) was astonishing. I've been shopping here for years, as do my family and friends. Your prices are reasonable and product selection sufficient but yikes!! Get rid of this jerk!! I stopped in excited to buy a few items to finish a long awaited home project and was in check out only to realize my phone with my coupon was in the car. I asked David if he could look it up since we get your emails which he begrudgingly did and said, but no, he still needed my code. I went to get it, waited in 3 deep line (again) only for him to tell me it was invalid. I assured him I had a current discount code and asked if he could show me on the site again where to find this readily available discount (you put it on everything) and he just sighed and rolled his eyes saying no. Again I got in the back of the line and finally located it. Just bought a load of merchandise to do art, furniture prefab, crafting, home remodeling. Most of the employees are helpful, esp the female shift manager. I came at 8p thinkin I would have enough time to get my list, but they close at 9 not 10 pm. So starting at 9:45 p every five minutes the store manager ( main guy in charge, walk past me saying "hurry up, it's time to close...u need to check out now (as he sees my several 100$ purchase & I'm a good customer, not ... he doesn't care), he sends a guy to go with me to find things. If he would of jus let me finish instead of causing his scenes it would have taken way less time. I like harbor freight & most the employees here are great/helpful. If your buying items you'll use everyday for your work def get better ones then they have hete, but fir my lil projects their fine. 1 star for manager not appreciating my patronage & 1 star because nothings American made here. Harbor Freight is an ok place to get the tools for what you need. They are priced comparatively and the in store promotions work well. Only problem is when two people from the same household are using the same phone number and want to redeem a coupon. Issues can arise but are resolved quickly. Otherwise, smooth sailing! read more

Called your Bonita Store at 9:30 am on 8-29-2019, asked a woman to hold a portable generator for me until noon. She said no problem but make sure your here by noon. I drove 1.5 hours to get thereat 11:45. No generators. The manager basically said your screwed. I will be posting this experience to all social media to make sure they stay away from Harbor Freight. FYI - The description of the Predator 670cc engine states it has ball bearing mounted crankshaft ... IT DOES NOT - IT HAS BUSHINGS! After contacting several dealers asking for the part number for the bearings ... since it was not shown on the parts page of the manual, they informed me that it does not have bearings but bushings. Even HF said it has bushings?? Otherwise I love shopping there, since I am a DIY I can find the tools I need without spending a fortune - are they the best ... probably not but they work for my occasional needs. read more
