Wow, what a change in pace from my recent visit to the new Home Depot on Three Oaks Parkway. I went in for mailbox keys as HD employees were useless as per my post of today. Employees greeted me, took me back to the key station. Made my keys. On the way out I noticed the depth of products they offer and wound up buying some additional items. The check out lady was great. All employees were helpful and friendly. From now on we will go here. Customer service is the key. Their prices seem in line with most places so if even they are higher on some things, getting the help and advice is so well worth it vs dealing with unengaged employees at the new HD. read more

We have to travel much further than we would to our local Lowes but we do because 1) these folks really are friendly 2) they know their merchandise 3) they have stuff I need (hose extender today) that the big box stores don't4) their keys work the first time so there are no return trips. The staff is not helpful, when looking for items. The employees would rather continue their conversations with each other, and point to an aisle for me to find whatever items I needed during each visit. It's a shame because I work less then a mile from this location, and I'll drive up to Home Depot to get what I need. read more

Just went to Sunshine Ace Hardware to return (2) 5 gallon "Sunshine Logo" pails, was told no returns due to the hurricane. I was not trying to return a generator, gas cans etc. but their logo'd pails. Obviously, they should be able to re-sell these pails. You are way better off shopping at Lowes/Home Depot. They take your money but also return you money. Guess I won't be making a RETURN visit to Sunshine Ace Hardware. read more

This place is the worst example of a community business! Pulled in there tonight at 7:02pm, realizing that they close at 7pm. I saw a couple employees closing the front door, and getting ready to leave. I ran up to the door explaining that I have an EMERGENCY and that my house had a real bad leak and I only needed 1 plumbing fitting, when "rat" I believe his name to be, tells me " sorry, they're is nothing we can do" and locks the door and leaves, pointing me to the nearest Home Depot location. I can only hope this review falls into the owner of this ace hardwares location. As they are independently owned. The whole point of ace hardware is to be a "convenient" hardware store. That's why you pay more than you do at the big box hardware stores. and secondly, it's supposed to be a friendly/ caring type of hands on store! You really need to train your employees to be more customer friendly, and not worry so much about running out the door at 7 on the dot! Will NEVER shop here again. Wife and I stopped in to get info on Weber grills as our 10 1/2 year old Weber was starting to have serious rusting issues on the legs. Was planning to shop around at Ace, Lowes and Home Depot for best price and service. Ace sales staff was very attentive, knowledgeable, professional and gave us a very competitive price with free delivery & setup=we purchased our grill without ever going to Lowes or Home Depot. Note: this is the 3rd Weber we have purchased from Ace over the last 25 years and have been very satisfied with our dealings at their San Carlos Fl location. Thanks guys!! read more
