Purchased steel cable from Lowe's and didn't use 100 feet of it. We weren't sure how much we needed so when we bought the whole 250 foot roll we were assured that we could return the portion that we didn't use. After our project was complete I came to return the section of unused cable. The associate walked around the corner and talk to the Manager. She came back to tell me, "we cannot except that." Beware of new rental service. I reserved a paint sprayer. when I got there they didn't have it but they did had a bigger one. They charged me $13 more per day even though i had a reservation. I ended up paying over $300 for 3 days rental. Could have rented same thing from Sunbelt or United for a whole week. Its a real scam they got going. It might be a little less convenient but go to Sunbelt or United where you get much better service. read more

This is important: Lowe's will restock returned items. You need to check your items (open the box) and inspect them before you leave Lowe's, or you may be forced to spend all that time coming back and returning them. Lowe's doesn't make it known the item is restocked and they don't offer a discount. This part of Concord is blowing up, that being said the traffic and parking continue to get worse. As all the outbuildings are added the parking spots for Lowe's faces some competition, but you can usually get a good spot. This location as the usual density of people parking in no parking zones and fire lanes, nothing like they did during the HH Greg bankruptcy. The people at this Lowe's are more helpful than your average Lowe's, but they have been slightly more incorrect than other Lowe's employees. Take that how you want - specifically gardening questions. They were spot on with all my plumbing questions, but so have all the other Lowe's I went to. It might be my relative skill in plumbing and converse lack in gardening. I have one major frustration with this place. I bought a light switch and it had wires in it from a previous owner. Snipped off fragments that only took a few minutes (not seconds) to remove with a basic pliers and a hard to find tiny fathead screwdriver. The response of the store is to drive all the way back to get my $2 part replaced. I personally think if you show them a part they clearly restocked and it is inferior to a new one (not comparable) that they should at least offer you store credit and not ask you to come back in. If I come back in they refund me, I buy another light switch, and then i am out the time of the second trip, the wandering to the aisle, and the wait at customer service. This is one plus to Amazon - they will pay for all the return shipping and send everything back. You need to give them a day or two for your replacement to arrive, that is the trade-off: more calendar days lost but less personal time spent. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I bought a chandelier on Oct 28 to be installed by Thanksgiving. Since then 2 service people have come out with the wrong size ladders and has rescheduled literally 9 times . Thanksgiving is now 4 days away and they just rescheduled the install again to December 10th. I tried to call the store and can't get through to speak to anyone. This is the newest location right in front of Concord Mills. I recently visited this store since my refrigerator stopped working and I was in market to get a new one. I decided to visit this place since it's closest and I can also check out H H Gregg as well as Best Buy in single trip. I arrived at the store and went straight to the appliance area. I couldn't find anyone there so I had to go to a different section to call help. I waited full ten minutes before someone came to help. I talk the rep who didn't look or sounded any enthusiastic to help me so I decided to check out other stores. Finally I decided to check out the Lowe's in university area which was perfect opposite. The store is nice and got great service from one of the guys in the flooring dept.. But thats where it stopped had problem with a carpet purchase/install, was told that someone would call never recieved that call. Called to speak to someone noone cared or tried to help out with the problem. Then spoke will the store manager and the same thing very arrogant and seems to not care about the customer and our situation! I will spend my money at either Home Depot or another Lowes but not this one. DO NOT buy a fence from the Concord, NC location. We paid almost 2,500 for a fence we were told would touch the ground and keep our dog in, irregardless of the slope to our land. After working to pin them down for weeks, they finally came on Christmas Eve. The fence was crap! We had been told Lowe's does poor fencing jobs and then tries to quote you something for more money! That's exactly what happened. They did a crap job which was completely different than what was quoted. It had huge gaps. We were told to go get rocks from the building sites around us after he'd put down a few! Flooded our yard. The caps are flying off, a manager refuses to call after three months and keeps sending her minions to quote me more money. Calling the attorney first thing in the morning! My neighborhood home improvement center, and we are glad to have them. Compared to others, this location is pretty good. Love the garden center, love the grill selection. Like the paint depart, like the hardware aisles. Don't like that I don't know my way around the power tools, but they are cool to look at. Dear Mr. Lowell, I need your assistance! Your company had installed my floors on April 5, 2017. To this day, my floors are incomplete, my floors and molding were not installed properly. I am advising all customers do not go with with Lowes. I, also used your company to purchase my appliances. Your team from delivery set my house on fire when installing the stove. You're blind installation did not properly install the blinds either. Both your stores Concord Mills and Huntersville are fully aware of the situation. I have someone in Executive Customer Relations who cannot help either. I have your risk management team lowballing me instead of helping me to get my project completed. I am advising all customers to run from Lowe's. Lowes will not stand behind their workmanship or Service Pros who installs their floors. They charge me in digital $2000 to level my floors in a 1999 apartment building. This was by far the biggest scam! I have been bullied, I have been threatened, I have floors in a house that are incomplete and damage by Lowes, I have your bullies in risk management, completely ignoring the situation and not addressing what needs to be done. They choose to offer me $2000 to walk away and every piece of my flooring is buckling, I have nails protruding the walls from the shoe molding, I have 5 1/2 inch gaps between the floorboards and the molding. Not one person from Lowes Corporate Office will come down and address the situation. Not one Executive will take a 15 minute drive down the highway to see the nightmare that I have been living through for the last 5 1/2 months. You should be ashamed of your team and your company that treat your customers deplorably. Shame on you Lowe's for not doing what was right by the customer. I am including pictures, so the country should walk away from Lowe's when it comes to flooring, appliances, installation of appliances, and blinds. I will never order appliances from Lowe's again. Honestly, I will probably never shop there again if I can help it. I originally ordered a full set of appliances (washer, dryer, fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher) along with some other items on 4/16/19 online. My order was then cancelled and marked as fraudulent. I was not notified of us this but instead had to call to find out why I never received confirmation. I was REQUIRED to go into the local Lowe's to correct this and have another ordered created. The 2nd order was submitted on 4/25/19. When I placed this order in store, I was told that my items would be sent to me on 05/13/19. So instead of getting all of my items on that day, I only received 3. I was told the rest of the appliances would not be available until 05/29/19. I called multiple times to try and get a closer date. I was told my items were special ordered, had been delivered to Greensboro but were stuck in processing. On 05/29/19, the rest of the appliances came but NOT the washer and dryer. I called again and was told that the fulfilling distribution center missed my items. In order to get them next day, I had to create yet another order. Harrison, a supervisor, told me that I would be getting $200 back for the inconvenience ( I never saw that credit). So another order for the washer and dryer was created and they were supposed to be delivered on 05/30/19 (#379099402). I must have gave Lowe's customer service my updated contact info and an alternate number at least 5 times, but apparently it was never transcribed to my account. On 05/30/19, we missed the Lowe's delivery because no one called the updated numbers that were given to the customer service associates. We missed the drivers by 15 mins so we tried calling in to see if they could turn around since we had been waiting so long. I was hung up on or "accidently" disconnected 3 times. No one bothered to call back so I had to call again on 05/31. I finally received all of my items on 06/02/19. I should also mention that because Lowe's never updated my contact information, my dishwasher will not be installed until 06/21/19 because that is the next slot that the third party has available. The level of customer service that I have experienced was horrific and so bad that I felt obligated to write this review. What kind of service level agreement is 46 days for full delivery? read more

Went to pick up a lawn mower that had been taken in for repairs. Over the course of an hour, we were told first that they couldn't find it. Then they brought us someone else's mower and practically insisted it was ours while admitting they lost the paperwork that says who's mower it was. It wasn't ours. Ours was not that nice/expensive. We wait and finally the find ours. And then they tell us we owe $102. No, it was covered under a warranty. We ask for a manager. Employee disappears and comes back awhile later without a manager. Then we're told that if we will just pay for parts, they'll cover labor. No, again, we explain it was under warranty and was only a few months old and to our understanding, should've been covered by the extended warranty and ask again to speak to a manager. Eventually, manager Tiffany shows up, never greets us or addresses us by name or apologizes for our over an hour wait but instead launches into a scolding speech about how she'll "eat it " this time but never again are we to come in and ask for this. She then repeats herself twice, as if her mere presence is a favor to us. When I'm in a store and ask politely to speak to a manger for clarification about fees I'm being told to pay, I expect to be addressed by said manager In a prompt and respectful manner. read more

Had 2 gentlemen help me with a pressure washer trying to fit a part onto it. We did not wind up succeeding but they must have tried and tried for over an hour. Great people there. The pressure washer also broke within the first month and they took the return without a receipt with no problem at all and replaced it! My mother and I visited this store to purchase a washer and dryer. My mom had previously been to a different location so she was pointing out to me what she liked and we agreed to get that one, well this whole process took maybe 10 minutes, and not once were we asked if we need assistance. The two associate's just stood there having a conversation. I have two jobs in customer service and I've been taught that the guest should not have to approach you especially when you aren't working with another guest and just having a friendly conversation with a co-worker. We ended up leaving and going to the Lowe's in Kannapolis, were we received even worse customer service. It just really turned me off to the idea of ever visiting any of the stores again. read more

Buyer Beware! If you have to utilize Lowes's subcontractor, R & R Plumbing, be prepared for a difficult experience. One which Lowes is not willing to help with. After purchasing new bathroom counter tops and sinks through Lowes, they directed us to utilize R & R Plumbing for installation. After the wrong initial order was delivered, and it being wrong, we waited for the correct order to be delivered and R & R Plumbing to install the sinks/counter tops. R & R did not adequate check for leaks in the sinks and one of the sinks leaked, soaking all of our personal property. After getting R & R to come back to correct the situation, Jason, the technician, replaced the hardware on both sinks. Now the other sink is leaking. We asked R & R to fix the situation today. They were difficult to contact. After calling Lowes, the customer service person attempted to call R & R but informed me the Contractor had 24 hours to respond (we'll see if they do). Bottom line is that Lowes is utilizing an inferior Contractor (probably to save money), and have a policy that is definitively counter to providing quality customer service. They are adequate when purchasing from the store, however, beware of utilizing their Contractors. In particular, R & R plumbing. We're looking forward to getting over this disappointing experience, and utilizing different vendors/contractors for our home improvement needs. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! A couple of years ago, my wife and I bought a stove at Lowe's. Like many of the products we have purchased there over the years, it died a very premature death. Nonetheless, in the spirit of eternal optimism (and admitted laziness due to the convenience of the store), we returned to Lowes to buy a replacement. We made the purchase on 12/1, despite the fact that we were told the stove wouldn't be delivered until 12/18. We braced ourselves for 3 weeks without a stove, but we had been assured it would be delivered before Christmas - very important, as we were entertaining a large extended family for the holidays. After more than two weeks of sandwiches, microwaved dinners and money spent on take out meals, we were so excited for the delivery of our new stove that we began to refer to 12/17 as "Stovemas Eve." Sadly, it was on Stovemas Eve that we received a phone message advising that there had been a delay (no further explanation provided) and our stove would not be delivered until 12/27 - TWO DAYS AFTER CHRISTMAS. We scrambled to rearrange our holiday plans and thanks to some flexible relatives we rescheduled our family holiday get together to New Year's Day. But on 12/26, "Stovemas Eve, Part II" we were called again to be advised that the stove wouldn't arrive until 1/2!!!! My wife, after a full month without a stove, was understandably beside herself, so I decided to go into the store to discuss this obscene situation to the store manager. But just this afternoon, as I was preparing to head to the store, we received an email (too scared to call?) to let us know that the stove wouldn't be delivered until JANUARY 11th!!!!! I'm writing this review right now because I am afraid of what I might say or do if I actually went to the store. Lesson learned: do NOT EVER EVER EVER EVER buy an appliance from this store. read more

I just bought my first home and decided to get all new appliances. I went to Lowe's and picked out four new kitchen appliances and the staff was very nice. I decided to have Lowe's install my dishwasher and microwave as I am new to the area and am not familiar with any handymen in the area. Well that was my first mistake. I was told that someone would contact me within 48 hours to schedule an appointment to have someone come look and decide in more detail how much it would be to install both appliances. After four days, I went up to the store to inquire. They email the district manager and said someone would contact me the next day which they did. Of course, no one was able to come out until the next week. Meanwhile, my appliances were delivered and the dishwasher and microwave were placed in my bedroom until they could be installed. Two and half weeks after buying the appliances and two weeks after having them delivered, the contractor comes out to measure for the dishwasher and microwave. A week later, I finally got contacted by Lowe's about how much would cost to install both appliances. It was going to cost me twice as much as I paid for the appliances to install them. I still have not heard from the store manager and have had a dishwasher and microwave sitting in my master bedroom for three weeks now. Not happy. read more
