Purchased a new dryer with installation and while delivery was prompt the installation was incorrect according to the instructions in the manual that came with the dryer. Improper vent hose (aluminum foil) and bad installation with several bent areas in the hose. When I called to complain I was told that that was the way the install now and the dryer manual was "old". read more

We are remodeling our kitchen and seeking new appliances (refer, range,DW and micro). As Retirees, $4,000, in addition to the $14,500 for cabinets and countertops, represents a substantive expenditure. We compared Home Depot and Lowe's. Prices were very comprable but Lowe's had three of the four units in stock. The salespeople TOTALLY messed up the order to the point where we were ready to cancel everything and go back to Home Depot. Then, Carrie, the Customer Service Rep, stepped in. WOW!!! She spent the next two days straightening up the order, kept us informed and then WITHOUT OUR ASKING, gave us a very nice discount "for our troubles". THIS IS WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD BE AND SELDOM IS. Carrie is the type of person that MAKES a Company. Congratulations Lowe's, you hired well! Now you need retrain your appliance sales staff in handling paperwork. read more

Customer service sucks. Two Saturdays in a row, I need heavy rock, cement and several bags of sand. A young man was ask to load these items for me, went to get a cart, never returned. Had to load it myself I'm disabled and need assistance. I'll never return to lowes for any business read more

This is the worst costumer service I have dealt with.. Walked in giving a heads up we were gonna need 30 bags of mulch, not that big of deal.. 45 min after we had already payed for it they came out with 21 bags and said that's all we have in inventory after already charging for it. So they went back and had to go find old ripped bags to complete the amount we had bought. An employee was asked by a superior to go look out back and said no I dont feel like it.. read more

Went to the store in Inverness, Gulf to Lake...had to unfortunately deal with a new manager Anthony. He seemed disgruntled he was new and they hadn't given him keys yet, seems that shouldn't be something you take out on people in the store. Avoid a nightmare! Shop Home Depot instead! My wife and I are STILL trying to get a substantial refund that Lowes owes us regarding an appliance purchase. We purchased a new refrigerator and dishwasher. The delivery was a nightmare! First the truck brought just the dishwasher. The technician couldn't install it, so he sat it in the garage. A second truck brought the refrigerator, which was faulty from the beginning. The door didn't seal, it was condensating within hours. I called to have both returned and was told I couldn't get a refund until the store took possession of the items. I purchased another refrigerator and dishwasher in hopes they could bring the new ones and pick up the old ones. Again, their "third party" delivery system brought just the dishwasher. We went to the Inverness, Florida store to speak to the manager. We ended up buying a THIRD refrigerator off the floor and it was delivered later that day. The manager told us he would sort out the charges and refund our previous purchases. He hasn't. It is a month later and they still owe us a substantial amount of money. We need it! Why do I say shop Home Depot instead? Because they use an in-house delivery system. Lowes contracts with a company that does not communicate (in fact many of their representatives that I spoke with are incapable of communicating in English) and does not keep appointments. Save yourself from a nightmare. Shop an independent appliance store or Home Depot, anyone that will be more honest and accountable to their customer. read more

Any extra miles you have to drive to go to Home Depot are well worth it. A project costing three thousand is a disaster, it looks horrible. The install department wants me to pay more to have them come back to try and fix this mess. This is one customer never going back to buy one thing. I am glad I'm not the only way that has challenges with Lowes. I have tried several times to order different items, as we are remodeling a home. Nothing but a nightmare every single time. Was in the store this past Friday the 21st of September. Today is the 27th still waiting for a call for them to come out and measure for shower doors. This is just measuring, still haven't gotten the doors ordered. every project with Lowes is more trouble than it is worth. Might have to go to the other home improvement store. Don't know why I continue to try with Lowes, guess the convenience of the store. But really it is not worth the Hassel anymore. read more

I should have looked at the yelp reviews before going to Lowe's Inverness. I ordered a refrigerator,washer and dryer. They were all "available" and could be delivered in 2 days. The washer and dryer came in 2 days and the washer worked okay but the dryer would not start. The delivery crew said the problem with the dryer was due to my electric plug. After telling them the old dryer works in the same plug they were unmoved and told me the new dryer was fine it had to be the wall outlet. Their advise was "call an electrician" they had more deliveries to make. I checked the outlet with a volt meter and it was fine so I called the sales department at Lowes. The sales person agreed to swap the dryer with a new dryer to be delivered the next day. Next day no delivery... when contacted they indicated a "Policy Change" with the new delivery service prevented the delivery(???) on consecutive days. When they did show up on day 4 they plugged in the dryer and it worked fine. So much for a bad outlet... now if my refrigerator shows up and works I'll be ok with the 2 day delivery moving out to 7-10 days only because if I were to cancel the order I'm sure they would screw up the credit processing. You see the only thing that really worked in this sales cycle was the initial charge. Sorry to say Lowes got their money up front. read more

I have been to this Lowe's a number of time. The customer service is beyond bad. While the tool folks have been especially helpful, most other areas I am either getting bad advice or no help at all. The cabinet area in particular is dismal. I ordered cabinetry online (some, that is, other I purchased here). I have been here 3-4 times for this issue and each time have attempted to get some kind of help from a purple haired lady that works in this area. Each time she has only curt, non-helpful answers. She would not even stop what she was working on to take a look at my problem. Today was especially annoying. When I hit the aisle there were three workers there and dispute my obvious searching not one of them asked to help. By the time I broke down and asked it was only purple hair left and it was the usual "can't you see I'm busy" type answers. Here idea of customer service included a few snide remarks. When I took exception to that, suddenly I am the bad guy. Avoid this area if you can. All of these same offerings are available through other outlets. read more

I went to Lowes inverness today pulled up to look at a plant and a yard monkey came out and said you can't park here. I said "I'm handicaped and I just want to look at a plant there are no handicap spaces. He still tried to run me off. I waddled up to the information desk and some guy named George pretending to a manager he would not give me his last name. I told him my situation and showed him my placard. He said he was a former cop and he knew the law and I had to park in a space I explained to him I was not in the road or a no parking zone I just wanted to see a flower and then I would be gone and that there were no open spaces. He went ballistic his eyes looked crazy He said I disrespected him and he was going to trespass me from the store. I said "now I know why you are not an officer any more" he was yelling right behind me I was trying to get out of the building. He was screaming WHY? WHY? am I not an officer. I left. This guy has a major mental illness. I called the corp office and they gave me a 25.00 gift card. SHOUT OUT TO GEORGE! thanks for the money. George are a serious joke and an embarrassment to Lowes. read more

I ordered an electric fireplace online as they are not showing them in the store (says they are seasonal which makes sense) so I found the model I wanted and was pleased that it was on sale through their web site. I was sent an email as to deliver date and advised that I would receive a call the night before or morning of delivery. I had asked the store salesman (sorry I didn't get his name) about installation and his answer was "Yeah, they should be able to put it together for you." So this morning I got the delivery when the bell rang with no call of any kind. I had called the store while waiting and been told the guys were loading up the truck and would call when they had an estimated TOA. The delivery guys brought in two boxes and said they were just delivering and I should call the store. The driver called Lowe's and their boss, Daniel, said to bring it back to the store and they would assemble it at no cost to me and bring it back ready to plug in. Any bets on when that might be?? We bought ALL of our kitchen appliances from Lowe's and were thinking about getting new carpeting. This is our first "glitch" but it's enough to make us hesitate on the carpeting for sure. read more
