I give them 4 stars mainly for the guys on day shift in plumbing. They're very knowledgable pros.

Paid for an electric dryer three weeks ago. Supposed to arrive today. No one called me and it wasn't delivered. Called the store and they said it was re-scheduled for a week from now. Should have gone with Home Depot. We've been air drying clothes for three weeks and were disappointed in lowes. The manager wasn't empathetic and didn't really seem to care that his store didn't meet their commitment or his staff didn't communicate to us. Won't be shopping at Lowes after this. If Home Depot can get me a dryer before this delivery, I'm cancelling my lowes order. read more

Shame on Lowes for using cut rate installers for there carpet installation. We have a rambler with no steps and we purchased new carpet and pad to be installed by Lowes. About a week after it was installed we noticed the seems already separating. Even worse then that, around the fireplace they hacked the carpet and JUST TRIED TO TUCK THE HORRIBLE CUT JOB UNDER THE CARPET. (SEE PICTURES) Mistakes happen, but the fact they tried to hide there horrible cut job is so unprofessional. We called Lowes to complain and they sent there "quality control" guy out and he just shook his head and apologized when we showed him the sloppy job. Lowe's told us the installer's are responsible and they will fix it for us and will install new carpet because the seams where so bad, they couldn't fix it. Well after two months of playing phone tag and hearing more excuses from Lowe's we still have this horribly installed carpet. Not that the price of the carpet should effect the installation, but we got a higher end carpet and splurged on a really soft pad. It's really sad to see such a huge company not stand by there installers and just pass the blame on....we purchased the carpet and installation from you, period. We are to the point we want to rip the carpet out ourselves and just return it to the store. Again, shame on you Lowes. read more

I woke up to a flat tire this morning and live close to this lowes so walked over to get a electric tire pump as I saw they had a few different kinds online needed some air in it so I could get to the tire store to get it fixed. I looked around couldnt find them so asked someone first guy walked me to the compressor attachment aisle and says I'm sorry we dont carry those. I found another guy and he says we dont sell those and tried to give me fix a flat and says we dont sell those while standing in front of a kit that has one in it. I point it out and he says well I knew you didnt want to spend 71 bucks. Um how do you know what I want to spend? So I decided to look some more and low and br hold a aisle will that big compressors 4 or 5 different brands and kinds of tire pumps. Hmmmmmm. Maybe employees need a hand book and or training of what they sell. Only gave them 2 stars because the cashier was a funny guy and gave me a laugh I needed this morning.... read more

If you want to be left alone with your thoughts, you should come to this Lowe's and wander the aisles because NO ONE who works here will ever ask if you need assistance or help with anything. They will actually avoid you in aisles; turn around and head away from you, and they avoid making eye contact with you. They like to sit around, chatting with their coworkers, talking and yelling at each other over the heads of customers. They like to be busy not providing customer service. There are probably some of the dumbest people working here. I mean, I can't figure out how any of these people have a job. They are lazy, self absorbed, and worthless. I can only surmise the company is run by the exact kind of people. And that's not the kind of people I like to give my hard earned money too. I'll shop at competitors and online, anywhere else. Came in to get a new key. First time they keyed it wrong and told me to try it out at home. Tried it at home and it didn't work. Took it back and tried getting it redone. They said it would work the second time around. Brought it home and once again it would not work. How hard is it to get a new key made?! Smh read more

I was shocked by how responsive the customer service team was when I shared my experiences with their online store. Even though it was only partly their responsibility they took great care of me. I had the assistant store manager in front of me less than 5 minutes after walking in and he was one kind, earnest and thoughtful fellow. The staff has always been nice to deal with as well, and now I understand why. That's why they've been my go to for my 3 major remodel projects. read more

The delivery department at this location is utterly disorganized. They can't seem to be bothered to call customers with a delivery window and the store needed to be called multiple times to get any results. That day they showed up at 545 pm. That was last week. Today they did the same thing, no call no show. Once again, I call the store, and apparently someone who never notified me, changed the delivery date to a day when no one will be home. I always have great service at the location in Des Moines! They seen to have more of the items I need than Home Depot (sorry HD)! I broke down at the first of summer and planted some baskets on my deck and Brianna from the landscaping department offered me some great suggestions as I am almost clueless when it comes to picking foliage. Several years ago, I did a major remodeling project using the products and staff at this location and I felt like "Queen of the Day" with a staff to wait on me when I arrived, haha! The employees are always so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They security inside and out of the building makes me feel safe. If I can give Lowe's a zero star rating, I would. I did an online order for fencing material. I specifically put Kent location, and then it weirdly reverted me to the Lakewood WA branch. And I needed it to deliver to Des Moines but Lakewood is far to deliver. Fast forward, took them 3 attempts to deliver my materials I ordered. Each time, I cleared my schedule so I could be there, and they cancelled on me the day of by email. This had been going on for over a week. First guy, the first attempt, they tell me that the order was pulled and should've went out that day. The second failed attempt they lady told me that the order still needs to be pulled. So wtf? Who's lying to me. Third time, I gave Lowe's one last chance, and was suppose to have my materials delivered yesterday. Nope. They dont care. I got every excuse in the book. Lowe's, you lost my business forever. Terrible communication. Your website is garbage. And you obviously can't train most of your employees to even give a shit. I'm going out of my way again to even write this review. And lastly, it's almost impossible for people to answer your calls when calling into the store. read more

When I had asked the cashier for a manager they sent over a lead cashier to act as a manager and then I said I wanted the manager Michelle started yelling from 2 Isles out what do you want what do you want.Michelle is the rudest manager that I have meet in customer service business. read more

The store is clean and the prices and selection are good....but if you have to rely on the store staff for something other than scanning your item, you might be better off not shopping here. Their staff is not good with follow up tasks or communicating in general. There are a few exceptions, but overall the service is disappointing. read more

I called in to get a double paned window replaced. I was scheduled for that Thursday, was not updated until the following Wed after numerous calls to the store. Finally someone comes out to measure & price. I did not get anyone else out here for the window until 2 weeks later to re-measure the entire window again. We ended up canceling our order due to our carpets looking like a kiddie pool from all the waiting and no-communication from Lowes. I will never go or depend on this store again. Store visit 1 purchased a slidein range and exhaust/microwave. Paid $40.00 for installer to come to my home to access installation needs and capabilities. Waited 4 hours for that appt. store visit 2 I was called to the store to sign installation contract, paying an additional $180.00 which included the $40.00 credit back. I was at the store within the hour. I asked for my salesperson, he was paged. I sat in an empty appliance section A full 10 minutes before asking where my rep was, only to be told he was out to lunch. A manager was finally called to help me. Waited 4 hours for scheduled delivery. No show. A call to store told me I was scheduled two days later. Not true. I verified delivery when I signed the contract. Now I will wait 4 more hours for a promised delivery and will have to wait for the installers to tell me when they will arrive to make all this functional. Incidentlly i made my purchase March 30. My rebate receipt told me I had to have my request postmarked by April 1st. Less than 24 hours to respond..ridiculous. My time is valuable and Lowes is making it too hard to make a purchase requiring installation. A year ago I purchased a dishwasher from them and the kid that showed up to do the install admitted I was his very first installation. He left unable to get the insulation into the opening. My Son had to finish that install. I should have made my purchases at Albert Lees. read more

My husband and I went through Lowes to have a chain link fence put in. It took them 2 months to come out and install the fence. They worked hard and did a good job. That was back in July. After opening the fence twice, the latch broke. Since then we have left so many messages to Home Pro Installs and Lowes about the latch being broken and not once have anyone called us back!!! So I hope that someone from Lowes and Home Pro Installs reads this. We spent good money on the fence and we want it fixed!!!! read more

LOWE'S is evil rant rampage!!! After making an online order for a washer and dryer, and paying $50 in pre installation fees, I had to spend over 2 hours in phone calls with 8 staff, and then drive to a store, where I spent 45 minutes with 2 staff, to be told in order to have my washer and dryer I would need to cancel my original order and reorder it with a new department in a process that would take an additional 30 minutes of forms and signatures, so that I could have my washer and dryer installed. I canceled my order and lost my $50 of pre installation fees because I didn't come to the store with 2 hours of free time. I am livid and will never buy Lowe's appliances again. Cheaper ain't always worth it...and it ain't that cheap. (BTW-some of their service staff were amazing and helpful. It wasn't their fault the Lowes's purchase and installation process are such a shitshow that their own staff can't easily navigate it.) read more

No rating what so ever, they will rip you off if you try to exchange an item from multiple purchase offering to give you back cash if you buy with a credit or debit card then charge you more for the new item then what they gave you. IT HAPPENED TO ME!!!. They will claim it is because of the taxes, that's BS. How can the taxes be different if the price of item that is to be replaced is the same as item replacing it?????
