I ordered a washer and dryer from here, their window of delivery was between 8 am and 8 pm. They brought the washer and dryer but when they hooked up the dryer it did not work and they said they would bring another one. This is the day after and still have not even heard from them. We finally had to call and they said they would call us back for a delivery for the next day, still with vague times. This is unacceptable for people who have jobs read more

The customer service is minimal. You will have to circle the store several times before finding any assistance, and even when you get help, good luck if the individual is knowledgeable about what you need help with. Today, I called asking about a very specific item. The employee answering the phone assured me they had it. When I arrived they didn't. The managers are clueless. I guess it depends on who has been at the store the longest to get such a title. Low inventory and product selection for me. The customer service female her name starts with an L needs to be retrained or fired. Found all the supplies, especially the planks and things we needed to build onto our front deck. But after you pay and I pull the truck around to load it , I had to actually chase someone down to help us load them into our truck and trailer. Service is somewhat limited inside the store but the planks we got was still wet from where they were treated. Do NOT finance anything through Lowe's!!!! We financed a fence installation and a shed. We did a 120 month special financing. Curtis came to our home and did the finance agreement. Ryan, who is in charge of the fence installation Department told us Curtis messed up the loan. They put us on a 24 month loan with deferred interest. Which we would never do. They put us on a 84 month loan for 2400. 7 days later. Which we knew Nothing about. Ryan just gave us the run around. He does NOT return our calls or helped in ANY way to resolve THIER mistake. We had no choice but to take out a loan with our bank to save our credit. We ended up paying $2400 extra in the loan that was added to the loan without us even knowing. Basically Lowe's committed fraud against us!!!!! They give you a number to call to customer service. That number is a joke! Corporate is useless. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!!!!! read more

I headed back to where I entered and she was there to greet me again. I even had a question because I didn't understand the tag. So she looked it for me so I would know exactly. We purchased a LG Dishwasher from Lowes and were talked into buying the extended warranty through a promotion. I normally do not buy the extended warranty. Our dishwasher motor went bad under warranty and we filed for repair through the Lowes Website and picked Platinum Services of Greensboro, They sent a technician out as scheduled but he stated he could not order the motor since it was under 10 year warranty through LG. After several attempts to get LG to authorize the repair we contacted Lowes and they said there was nothing they could do that they use 3rd parties for warranties. Lesson learned don't buy LG and don't purchase extended warranties from Lowes Home Improvements. read more

The Service was horrible.......RACIST is an understatement, I buy 5 things of paint The dude which identified his self as store AP told me that I didn't ring up all 5. He then asked for my receipt. I gave it to him and it showed that I bought all 5 of them then he tells me well you must've paid the wrong price so he brings me back in the store and tells the lady to ring it up again. I love having a Home Improvement store so close to home. I admit sometimes it has been hard to find a worker but when you do, they are helpful. My favorite is Sherri D. Although she works in flooring she helps with other areas or helps you find an associate in the particular area. They are helpful and interested in helping you find what you need or giving helpful advice towards a DYI project. Sherri helped me with my tile installation, flooring needs and now helped me with getting a fence installation. Ryan came out and measured my yard the other day and he was wonderful-gave me a Labor Day discount and 0% financing that Sherri had already told me that I may be eligible for. Sherri D is a DOLL! I fix a lot of things around my house myself (so that I won't be ripped off-I'm a woman ya know) and when I need tools like a drill, proper bits etc. There is a wonderful man that helps me and is very knowledgeable along with another slim lady (forgetful but will get their names and edit this review). They work over at the power tools, screwdriver bits and saws section. I am grateful to have Lowes and their workers so near to help. It is reassuring! read more

I ordered online with my Lowe's credit card and chose curbside pickup. I got an immediate email stating they got my order and would let me know when it was ready for pickup. I then got another email saying it was delayed and wouldn't be ready until May 15. This wasn't an issue for me. They got it ready on the 13th and I went to get it. The parking lot is well marked but here are the problems: 1. They bring to your car but will not load it, she said they aren't allowed. She left the cart by my door and walked off. She wasn't wearing gloves but had on a mask. 2. I realized they hadn't filled my order correctly, so I had to go into the store. The same girl took my receipt and went to get the correct products. She came back, put them in my cart and said, "there you go". No apologies and she kept my receipt. 3. I went back the next day to return 3 items. * She asked for my receipt so I showed her the mobile copy. She said she couldn't use that. * I gave her the order number and she said their system didn't recognize it. * I swiped my credit card and she said the items weren't showing up. * She asked when I did the pickup. I told her yesterday morning. * She asked for the time and I said it was around 7:00am. She told me that since 24 hours had passed, the system no longer recognized my order or had any information. She said their online orders and pickup didn't work very well and she didn't like them. I told her I didn't like it either because clearly I had purchased the items. I had to take a store credit because of their system issues. She never apologized. read more

As many times as I've been to Kernersville, I didn't know they had a Lowe's Home Improvement. A friend told us they had perennial flowers flowers on sale. Good size at 3 for $12. Couldn't find them but the selection was good at $5 a piece. Needed to buy cement sealant but wasn't sure what to buy. This review is based purely off our major appliance purchase recently... Here we go: We were in the need for a new dishwasher and above range microwave. The "next day delivery" aspect that Lowe's advertises was enticing that we chose to purchase these appliances here. Only catch... It's next day delivery IF the appliance is IN STOCK. Well, after choosing about 6 different dishwashers and NONE were in stock, I settled for one that would take 3-5 business days to get in and ordered it. (Question: what ones ARE in stock? Probably the $1000+ ones that no one wants bc they are too expensive AND the shit $200 ones because no one wants the crap ones.) At the same time, I ordered a matching above range microwave... Because of course, that was not in stock either. (A new guy was getting trained so it was his job to ring in my microwave purchase and installation.) I then headed up to the register to open a credit card to get 18 months 0% interest which was advertised with signs all over the store. Upon arriving at the register, I said I would like to open a Lowe's card for the 18 months payment plan. The TWO different individuals that "helped" me, looked at me in complete bewilderment. "18 months? What are you talking about?!?!?!" Um, the one that is advertised on the big signs hanging all over your store. (Apparently it's USUALLY 12 months but they were running a special 18-month deal. Shouldn't employees be made aware?) Anyways, i completed the purchase and was told I would be contacted by a contractor for the install. Before the contractor called me, I was called at one point by a Lowe's worker asking if I had already picked up my microwave (bc the work order included a dishwasher, dishwasher install and a microwave install... No actual microwave.) In which I replied, "No, there were none in stock so the guy had to order it." The lady on the phone asked me to check my receipt and sure enough, the actual microwave WAS NOT ON IT. The reason I didn't notice is because the bill was over $1000 and I didn't think anything of it. I mean, I was in the store for almost 2 hours "ordering" appliances, I assumed I had ordered them. I explained how I didn't want o drag my 2 young kids back out to the store to re-order a microwave and the lady said that someone would call me and I could just order it over the phone. Guess what? NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. I was then contacted by a contracted plumber and unfortunately, his availability didn't work with our schedule so we called Lowe's back and asked for a new contractor. I was called by a new one and their availability was limited as well so I said I would check my work schedule and get back to them. When I called back to set up an install day, I had to leave a voicemail because no one answered. I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM. So I called after a few days and left YET ANOTHER voicemail and yet again... NEVER HEARD BACK. At this point, about 4 weeks had went by... Still nowhere with getting my appliances. We had ENOUGH! My husband called Lowe's and cancelled our appliance/installation order. They tried to talk us into having a new plumber to contact us but we were done at this point. Over the phone, we were refunded all but $75. Heh? Why not the full amount? We were told we needed to COME INTO THE STORE TO GET THE REST. What the f*#k??? We wasted HOW MUCH TIME ALREADY AND NOW NEEDED TO DRIVE BACK TO THE STORE TO GET THE LAST OF OUR MONEY BACK?!?!? Needless to say, I went there today and got the $75 applied back to our new Lowe's card bringing the balance back down to $0. So about a month wasted, a new credit card opened, tons of stress, dried out hands from hand-washing our dishes for the last 4 weeks, a few gray hairs from the added stress and now we get to go find another place to get a dishwasher and microwave. Hopefully no one else has to have an experience like this but I would never recommend coming here for major appliance purchases. read more

Always something wrong here. Says they have it but they don't because inventory is wrong. Or they say something is on sale but it's not. Or nobody is around to help. This place is always a headache and simple runs to buy some nails turns into me getting the stairs and finding it up top myself. I received great customer service from everyone. I came here to buy a fire pit, and the two employees that helped me were so nice. One was even nice enough to offer help to my car, and I accepted, as the whole thing was very heavy. I didn't go through the entire store, but I saw that they keep things neat in the garden section. Ordered a workbench online for a Christmas present for my son. After shipping to my house, there were so many broken parts, including the table top. The paperwork said - DO NOT RETURN TO STORE - CALL FOR PARTS. Okay, it was Christmas, they weren't open understandably. So my son put together what he could. After calling the manufacturers phone and asking for the broken parts, I was told, "those parts are not covered my the manufacturer", Kohler. I was instructed to store hop to find parts or take it apart, ship back and reorder. Thanks Kohler! And the online Lowes help wasn't any better!!! BUT........David, the manager at Lowes in Kernersville was FABULOUS!!!! He took care of me! The next day, my broken workbench was picked up and a new assembled one delivered! I bought a self propelled push mower and then went back weeks later and bought a lawn tractor from Kernersville, Lowe's Home Improvement store #1141 . Here is my experience: With less than 5 hours of running time on the push mower I caught a wire on the blade. It stopped the engine. I cleared the blade and tried to restart the engine. The crankshaft was locked up. I took it back to Lowe's and told them to call me to let me know what was broken. THREE weeks later I called them. They said "Oh, that is sitting out back". The repair consisted of replacing the spark plug and the blade. I've never heard of a spark plug or blade needing replacing after less than 5 hours of usage. The bill, $100. I think the repairman cleared the drive belt, put a new blade on it and screwed me out of about $40. How does a fouled spark plug or nicked up blade lock up the crankshaft? The lawn tractor was even worse. With less than 6 hours of running time, after sitting for a week. I went out to start it. The battery was dead. I charged it and put it back in the tractor. Before I could turn the key over to "start" the battery was dead. I called Lowe's to pick it up. Three weeks later I called them. They said the repair people "THINK" it is the alternator. Would you let a machinic repair something he "THINKS" is broken? If I charge the battery in the tractor and take the alternator out of it I can start and run the tractor until the battery goes dead. It could not be the alternator. Well, just one day short of them having my tractor for a month, they return it. Then when I started to cut my grass with the tractor it ran out of gas just 5 minutes into the job. I had filled it to the top before I realized it was broken. That is 5 gal. of gas at $4 a gal. I called several times to talk with the store manager to tell him about this. No manger has returned my calls. I contacted customer service at Lowe's headquarters, they could care less. I'm done with any Lowe's store. read more

I love to shop at Lowe's Home Improvement Store in Kernersville! I can go in there for one item and leave with several because they have such a variety of products and low prices. I often find clearance sections in different product areas. I have found some of the most unbelievable deals on items I had been wanting but they were not in my price range. The have very competitive prices and although I don't know their policy, but a couple of times I've seen the exact same product advertised at another store and the manager has always matched that price! If I need help finding something it's very easy to get any employee to be more than willing to help me even if it's not their department. If they don't know the answer they quickly find someone who does. They are very knowledgeable about their products and can answer almost all of your questions. If they don't know the answer I've even seen them "Google" it to find out so they can help me. They give very helpful suggestions and ideas if you ask for their opinion. They're not trying to push you to purchase the most expensive products but show you all the products that will meet your needs! If I ask an employee where I can find something, they will tell you exactly where and even take you there if you like. You can tell they are there to make the customer feel welcome, satisfied, and make sure you have a pleasant experience. Where some stores I've had to wait so long for help I just give up because I'm so frustrated that I won't shop at their store again! I can't say enough positive things about their store and employees and how great there customer service is! Sometimes if I have time, I'll stop by there just to browse to see what's new. I definitely go search for all their clearance sections in case I find any deals which I often have! I can go in there in a "blah" mood and leave with a smile on my face and a whole different attitude! That's how great they are! read more

as an employee of the store i can tell you this. We are paid to provide amazing customer service. However we are treated horridly. I am currently speaking to a lawyer about the double standard I work in. We have a self check out person that can only pass as a greater. We have new machines that are amazing but he does not know how to use them. All of these things i have brought to the attention many times to the management. I have no idea why I continue to subject myself to this store. I go there because it happens to be the closest to home. But if you want any type of customer service you should drive the extra distance. Every time I have attempted to ask for assistance finding an item (usually because their convenient app shows it to be where it isn't) I get an attitude from the employees. Most appear to be surly retirees who resent having to work and resent you more for asking a question. I've patiently stood by for assistance on several occasions only to be ignored and have the employee help someone else. Or 'heaven forbid" you say 'excuse me' to one of the employees, you'd think you spouted profanities by the look and huffing of breath that explodes out of their mouth. I wished I could only point to one instance but this happens more often than not when I shop there. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Enough is enough. read more
