Ordered a gift to be delivered November 29th. Paid 39 dollars for delivery. They got it ready and left it on the dock for a third party to deliver. Every day it says it will be delivered. Every day it is not delivered. Talked to the store and they said there's nothing they can do. It is waiting for a 3rd party to pick it up. After many chats, and phone calls to the store, it was delivered Dec 5th, 6 days after it was to be delivered. The store does not appreciate my business so I will go elsewhere. I would absolutely never ever recommend this business. My mistake was going there instead of going to Home Depot, where I usually go went there grab the materials that I needed $94 worth of materials paid cash the girl Amber that checked me out even though I already gave her my number and I have an account there a pro account insisted no put your number in here again just in case you have to return this stuff because you paid cash so we can give you your money back well the items didn't work. I was gonna go a different route went to return everything everything was still on the receipt everything that I returned they would not give me my full refund back. They gave me $74.75 instead of the $95.35. They owed me so they turned my $74 and said there was discrepancy to give me the rest of my money back even though it was on the receipt. The receipt showed the $97 amount paid with cash but only. Give me but only gave me $74.75 back so I told them they can go ahead and keep the money. I'm not gonna do this. I'm freaking out and then once I start to walk away then they tell me oh here, sir here's the rest of your money back. I told them no you keep this money. Obviously you need it more than me after 20 minutes telling me they weren't gonna give me my money back even though I paid in cash and it showed on the receipt. I definitely do not recommend this company or this place. They suck their manager suck their employees suck. It was a very embarrassing moment because the way that people were looking at me like if I stole these items and I literally have them all and have the receipt to return the money so they made $20 and change off of me today that I did not get back because it wasn't worth my sanity very unprofessional and the funny thing about it Was that the lady that checked me out earlier was vouching for me and telling them no he bought this. Everything is right here that he paid for why isn't it returning his money? That's how frustrating it was that even their own employee that checked me out in a half hour earlier, couldn't understand why they couldn't give me my money back when I paid cash and had the receipt and it showed on the receipt what I was supposed to get back instead they gave me $74 back so like I said they pocketed $20 and some change Lowe's sucks read more

If there was a negative I would use one- Needed assistance in the storage container section- we asked an employee standing in the isle for assistance- he replied all containers they had were down, which was not the case, I wanted one that was not lower and needed a fork lift. I asked him and another standing by the appliance area for assistance, one kind gentleman let the other guy know he couldn't use the forklift so suggested he find a person to help. OBVIOUSLY the manager didn't want our service, he walked away - we thought he was getting a forklift- but NO! He never returned, and neither will we. Home Depot down the road had the same item and they didn't hesitate to get a forklift to assist me. This store stole $214 from me. I met all return policy requirements but there was an issue with my credit card having expired between the purchase and return- a very common occurrence which should not affect the refund. The manager refused to find a resolution for me other than offering store credit - of course they want you to take store credit- it's worthless unless you use it. Store manager Jacqueline should have refunded my purchase in cash but she refused. This amounts to theft. read more

THEY RECYCLE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES HERE! That includes cell phone batteries as well as actual cell phones. They also accept compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) for recycling. Kudos to Lowe's for offering this option to help keep these items out of the trash. The container is located behind the customer service desk. Easy instructions - you just seal each battery in the plastic bag provided and drop it in. read more

This seems to be a recurring problem at every Lowe's I go to... there's never enough employees. I have the hardest time ever getting help when I need it. Whether that is getting a tool unlocked, paint mixed, or getting something off a shelf, I have to wonder around for like 10 minutes to find someone that can help. Please hire more people read more

Historically, I have had good and bad experiences here. I returned today for the first time in several years. I was very pleased with my total experience from the time I entered the store through the checkout process. When I walked in, I asked a customer service rep if Lowe's still offered a veterans discount and was happy to hear that they do. Another rep assisted by adding my veterans information into their database, allowing me to exchange my phone number whenever I make a purchase and automatically I will receive the discount. Saturday March 2nd 2014. Hubs needed something, so to this Lowe's Home Improvement we went. In general, I feel that Lowe's have variety of items which are higher in prices as compared to Home Depot than I am used to. When we were here on this recent visit, we look into the Backflash Tiles for the Kitchen, Tiles for the Bathroom, Kitchen Faucets, Dishwasher, Ceiling Fans and Lighting Fixtures. They have some Designs and products that we like, but NOT in terms of pricing. *SIGH* All in all, an OK visit. Might return to other Lowe's or perhaps compared the pricing with Home Depot or Online to make better assessment and pricing. I tried to purchase a washing machine from here, but the delivery was a total nightmare. When I ordered, in store, I gave delivery instructions as Maps takes you to a closed gate with no access. I got a delivery time frame the night before of 2:30-6:30. The delivery was attempted at 12:45. The driver called and my phone flagged it as SPAM. Then dispatch called, SPAM again, and left a message saying the driver would wait 10 minutes. I went out ASAP in time to watch the driver leave (he didn't see me). I immediately called dispatch and said I had the delivery note. She told me that she saw the delivery note and Lowes puts it in a hard to read location for the drivers. Why even have it then?! She said they would reschedule for the next day (Sunday). When I didn't get a delivery notification, I called dispatch on Sunday and got another person who told me they can't schedule deliveries and I'd have to call the store. I called the store and the delivery department wasn't open Sunday. I called Monday and was assured it would be delivered Tuesday. After another day of no delivery notifications, I called the store Tuesday. The phone system hung up on me 4 times before I got through. Delivery Department never answered and I got kicked out again. I called and spoke with an associate and left a message for delivery to call me. 2 hours later I decided to go into the store, because I got no call back. I went to customer service and the lady that took my message was there, mentioned the message and threw it away. It never made it to deliveries department. I demanded a refund and got it in full. That is worth the 1 star for this review. I then went to Home Depot and got a new washer delivered THAT SAME DAY! I will be getting the matching dryer later this month and use HD to get the new stove and oven that I need as well as redo my master and guest shower. read more

Just a heads up. Lowes will no longer assist putting a $100 Christmas tree on your car. I'll preface this review by stating I'm adding 2 stars for the few great employees that actually do exist at Lowe's. Their names are CARLOS, GINA, MIKE, & CHUCK!!!! With that being said, please continue to read my review of my experience. Ordered an exterior storm door, for our home. The process was very painful. I was quite frustrated because many employees, are not competent at their jobs. Instead of telling you, "I am not sure, let me ask," their solution is to refer you to another person THAT DOES NOT KNOW, or is plain rude! *Reference jerk today working in hardware. 8 I asked to speak to a supervisor, Carlos, who actually KNEW how to help me, and what I needed and who in fact I needed to talk to, after being told otherwise by employees at this store. Won't be using Lowe's for any further projects, and it is just so difficult to deal with them. I ordered kitchen appliances from Lowe's on 9/11/19, and scheduled a delivery date of 9/28/19. I was contacted the afternoon of 9/27/19, to learn that Lowe's had sold me an electric range that was no longer available. The options they provided were as follows: 1) Pay significantly more for a model year newer of the same range. The model year newer is identical to the original--I cannot find an upgraded feature for the life of me to justify the price difference. 2) Refund the purchase price and find a different range elsewhere. 3) Swap out my order with an inferior range. By contacting me less than 24 hours before delivery, Lowe's forced me into a position where I have no choice but to pay more money for the original range I ordered OR go for weeks without an electric range (the same range would take weeks to be delivered from any other store, too). Coercive? Yes. Manipulative? Absolutely. I spoke with three different representatives for over an hour (Bryce, Ryan, and Jacqueline, I'm talking about you), none of whom could offer any solutions, or answer the question: "How are these options reasonable?" They tried to tell me it was a better deal, because they would knock a couple bucks off the purchase price of the newer model for me (still significantly more expensive than the original). Other arguments they made: "it's not our fault, it's the vendor's fault" and "we can't control what's in the system." Nice, guys. read more

we bought a new refrigerator from our local Lowe's store. The first one they delivered was dented and the water system did not work correctly. They then brought us another one. Which also was dented. At this point they told us they would give us a credit, and they bought us a third one which works well. When we went to get the credit, they gave us a measly $25 for our extreme aggravation and the loss of some of our food from thawing and going bad. We would never recommend the Lakewood Lowe's store. If I could give it a zero I would. I am also canceling my credit card that I got from Lowe's and will continue to shop at Home Depot. read more

We went to Lowes today (store 1903 on West Colfax) to shop for a vanity for the bathroom, a sales associate named Doug asked if we needed help and from then on, he was with us and helped us get the vanity onto a cart as well as a new toilet and gave us valuable guidance regarding plumbing fixtures for underneath a sink. This was probably the best customer service experience we've ever had at Lowes. He also helped us load the larger items into our car. Thanks Doug for all of your help, if all stores had a sales associate like you, there would never be even one complaint from anyone ever. You're great! read more

Had nothing but great service and really helpful staff no matter what our little project or issue might be. They really took care of us on an issue with a grill we purchased. Went out of their way to make it right when they didn't have to. They also usually seem to be stocked of whatever it is we need for our projects. We are officially a Lowe's family. The service in the appliance department is terrible. I walked up to customer service three times to ask for help. An announcement was made but no one showed up . I waited for 20 minutes because today was the last day of the sale. Finally I saw a red coat. He was helping another party and told me he would be with us soon. He did indeed take care of me. I'm typically a Home Depot shopper but sometimes I just can't find what I need at the Depot, so I find my way over to Lowe's. I've been at this Lowe's several times and this was my first experience of bizarre weirdness by the male employee at the contractor checkout. I was looking for a cordless drill and a reciprocal saw for a project I'm working so I head back to the Tool area and the guy was just standing there watching me like I'm going to steal something. Now usually I'm dressed pretty thuggish when I go there because I'm working on some project but I was in my office clothes. He doesn't come over to help or ask me if I need assistance, he just stands there watching me. I look in his direction and point at the drills, but he just keeps standing there. I begin to think maybe he's autistic or something and he's starting to creep me out at this point. This goes on for about 10 minutes while I'm looking at saws. I'm not finding what I'm looking for, most likely because I can't focus because I can feel this creepy dude watching me. I leave the area and seriously, the guy just keeps watching me. I did find the other things I was looking for and headed over to Harbor Freight (which is right across the street) where the guys were more than willing to assist me in looking for a saw and a drill. read more

I just had the worst experience racial experience with a man named Scott, who works in the plumbing department. I spoke to him for about 5 minutes on the phone, to see if Lowe's cut and thread Galvanized pipe. He expressed that the machine was working and they can cut how ever many you need cut. Soon as I got to Lowe's he seen me, his positive demeanor from the phone turned into a disgusted demeanor. Every time I was mentioning something he would suck his teeth and he got upset when I didn't tel him what I was working. Then as soon as I gathered all my fittings he tells me, he can't cut the pipe into the desired inches I needed. 10", 20", And 12" I know for a fact they sell precut 10" pipes (which I unprofessionally didn't even try to look for). He then said they can only cut 5' galvanized pipes. This man scoot shouldn't work here if he is not even going to attempt to help customers. Then after I tell this assistant supervisor (didn't get his name), what Scott has done, he said "thank you for informing me." I stood around for a minimum afterwards and this man went on with his business as if my issue was not an issue.. I drove 45 minutes to this location because this was the only Lowe's that had a working threading mission. I will never shop here again. Racist. Unmotivated employees. And machines never work! We used to frequent this location for the majority of our renovation needs. Unfortunately, the customer service has declined tremendously in the past year. We've had issues multiple times with cashiers ringing up items incorrectly or not applying a coupon. This entails us having to wait in line again at customer service. Today, the appliance department manager was extremely difficult to work with. She walked away several times when we were trying to find someone to help us. We called back later with our questions. She was very impatient, and gave us information that we know is incorrect. When spending thousands of dollars on appliances, the lack of customer service is a definite red flag. read more

I just spent 25 minutes waiting in the store to find out I have to go do a bunch of gymnastics to actually utilize the warranty I paid extra for. I have to call a number, and wait for an email, and then come in to the store that's known for how slow they are. My tool is broke now. I need it replaced now. Buy your tools at Harbor Freight guys. They don't even ask for a receipt. Bring the tool in, walk out with the new one. 2 minutes of your day. Lowes' process is a joke. Lowe's paint manager (Julie). The paint manager Julie was unhelpful, dismissive, and unprofessional. It is a good thing the people that work for her are much better at their job. I had paint matched the other week and got a couple of samples to verify. They can only do sample matching using indoor paint, but that it would represent the outdoor version except for being a different texture and possibly looking different due to lighting. After successful samples, I got a gallon of each of the three colors. One of the three colors matched nearly spot-on, and the other two were significantly off. So I went to return/exchange/fix. Whatever could be done. 1. I started at the customer service/exchange counter. It so happened the paint manager who went by the name Julie, was at the counter, and the gentleman helping me called her over. 2. Immediately, Julie was dismissive, pointing out the samples are interior and what I purchased was exterior. 3. I pointed out I was told they would still match very closely, and due to being interior vs. exterior in the light, there may be a slight difference, but otherwise, would be very close. 4. Julie immediately responded, "those are the operative words, 'very close'". 5. I pointed at the colors grey vs. nearly black, and asked how is that very close? 6. She directed me to the paint center for further assistance. Steps 2-5 should have never transpired with a competent sales manager. The correct response is, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience; please see if one of my experts at the paint counter can come up with a solution". That is the only correct answer that a manager should provide if they cannot help! The young lady at the counter, I think her name tag said Baylee, was extremely helpful and professional. She saw the wrong base paint was used, so she mixed up some new paint, and it appears to be a match to the samples. The one-star review is due to the paint manager, Julie. Julie needs to know that her customer service attitude sucks and is not welcome. If this is her normal attitude, she should not be on the floor facing customers. If this is an exception, she needs to learn to check her attitude when interacting with customers. read more

They had a row of barbecue grills on end of season clearance. Nothing about them being defective, just end of season clearance. My husband bought one and brought it home only to find out that it was missing one of the burners. He brought it back within an hour , and was told he couldn't return it, and would have to contact the manufacturer. When he spoke to the manager and explained that the grills were not sold as defective, she was incredibly rude. He pointed out that there was another grill, same model, with no missing pieces next to it, and he wanted to exchange it for that one. After a lot of pushback, she finally told him that she would do him a favor just once and exchange it. We've spent so much money at this store while remodeling our house. It used to be a great store, but this manager is unhinged. She did the exact same thing to me about 8 months ago when I tried to return a microwave that I ordered online, after finding out that the dimensions online were wrong. Home Depot is a few miles down the road and worth the extra few minutes drive. No issues with customer service there, so we've exclusively purchased all of our job materials there and have been very pleased with their service. read more

In good faith, I purchased several trees spending a significant amount of money from Lowe's last May and June. I do a lot of home repair and gardening. Most are fine but 4 died at the top but not towards the bottom so I thought initially they were ok. Because I was three weeks past the one year guarantee, Mary and Jeanette refused to replace them.
