Date: December 20, 2024 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction and extreme frustration with my recent experience involving a defective LG dishwasher purchased from Lowe's in Liberty, Missouri, and the subsequent handling of my concerns by both your store and your policies. The dishwasher was purchased online on December 9, 2024, over 500.00 dollars and picked up from the Liberty, MO location the same day. Due to scheduling constraints, installation was completed on December 17, 2024. We did a wash without any dishes in it. When the dishwasher was first run with dishes in it on December 18, 2024, it became apparent that it did not function properly--it left dishes soaking wet after each wash, despite verifying that the rinse aid was full and used correctly. On December 20, 2024, I called the store and spoke with a manager, who informed me that since the purchase was not made using a Lowe's Credit Card, I only had 48 hours to return the appliance. This absurd and restrictive return policy was not made clear on the website at the time of purchase. Nowhere on the product page or during the checkout process was it stated that a Lowe's Credit Card was required to qualify for a reasonable return window of 30 days. To add insult to injury, when my mother visited the store to advocate on my behalf, she was given the same dismissive explanation. This leaves me with a brand-new appliance that does not work, no recourse for return, and no immediate resolution offered other than being redirected to LG. I also contacted Lowe's customer service, only to be informed that the restrictive return policy is buried in small print on your website. This is deceptive and unacceptable. Selling a defective product and then refusing to stand by it undermines customer trust and shows a blatant disregard for quality and service. Now I am being told to schedule a service technician to repair what is supposed to be a new appliance. It is insulting and unreasonable to expect a customer to accept a defective product, only to deal with the inconvenience of scheduling and waiting for repairs. I demand that Lowe's take immediate action to resolve this matter: Replace the defective dishwasher with a functional, brand-new unit at no additional cost. I bought my washer from Lowe's 2 years ago along with an extended warranty from Lowes. My washer broke down three weeks ago. I called Lowe's for service right away. It took a week to get a service date. They don't give you an exact time they schedule in 5-hour windows. So, I took the day off to be home for the third-party servicer that Lowe's was sending out to fix my GE washer. On the appointment day, I hadn't received a call ahead from the service center, so I decided to call them. They informed me that they weren't coming because Lowes had given them the wrong information. It was a total inconvenience, so I ended up being on the phone with Lowe's corporate for over 2 hours complaining. They promised to take action and give me a follow-up call. I never heard back from corporate. In the meantime, my washer is still broken. So I decided to call the extended warranty department again and get rescheduled on my own. They rescheduled me for 2 days later. That service day finally arrived. The third-party servicer called me and said they couldn't make it to service my machine because they had an employee call in sick. At that point, I was really frustrated. I called Lowe's corporate again. Knowing all the while they were only going to lie to me but I needed to vent anyway. Spent another hour on the phone with corporate. They promised to take action and follow up with me. Never heard from them. The third-party servicer, Appliance care company, out of Belton Missouri, rescheduled me again for the third time, a day later. They called that next morning to cancel again. The weather was bad. They rescheduled me again, three more days out. The servicer finally makes it to my house. He's there for about 5 minutes and rattled off a long list the parts that he'll need to order. He informed me that it could take up to several weeks to get the parts back. So, here I am again, for the third week in a row, in a public laundry. IRRITATED!!! The moral to this story is, even if Lowe's is giving away washers and dryers for free, run! Avoid them like the plague! They don't care about you. They do not respect or value your time. They don't care how much money you spend with them. Their customer service is the worst. In the future, if I have to, I'll pay double and go to Home Depot. BEWARE! Too many issues with this Liberty Lowes store and delivery,. Won't buy anything here here again that needs to be delivered, Normally go to Home Depot but they didn't have want we wanted. The first item payed for was a riding lawn mower on 5/17 and was told first delivery date was 5/30. No communication at all from Lowe's about delving it. Called there on 5/29 and transferred to the Delivery dept. it rang and rang till they picked it up and hung up on me. Don't buy propane gas tanks there!!! We got a defective one there and took it back to exchange it for another which was also defective! We took it back and asked for our money and empty tank back. They refused to do it and told us that our grill was defective cause it is rare to have a defective tank. So we got a 3rd tank which finally worked. So they sell detective tanks there! Let me settle something first. the difference between Lowe's and Home Depot is by a tiny margin and mostly it's that Home Depot is slanted more towards the contractor and Lowe's more towards the weekend warrior or DIY'er. That said, it's possible that you're going to get a super cheap and almost unusable product at either place if you either don't know what you're looking for or if you make your decision based on what is cheapest. Home Depot simply has more services for pros - mostly things that if you're not a pro builder, you'll never see. Lowe's is more about the pretty and shiny. The Liberty area is fortunate enough to have 5 solid places to get home improvement/hardware/farm-kind-of-stuff - all within a few square miles - all with their own benefits. Home Depot - Best almost professional home supply. Lowe's - "Hey honey, let's go get some flowers to plant this weekend" Sutherland's - Best place to renovate a rental home or house you want the cheapest stuff possible in. Freverts - If you need a part for a 1970s HVAC system or 4 isles of screws and bolts, this is for you. Ordered a dryer January 10th and set delivery for Saturday January 13th due to them "not being able to find my item at the warehouse" my dryer wasn't delivered. Rescheduled for January 12th and the driver apparently "ran out of hours" they sent notifications of where I am in the delivery process. Driver drove past my house twice during their delivery run. I get called by Lowe's saying they will need to reschedule yet again. They were no help at all. Customer service is a joke it's sad to say I've been burnt by Lowe's twice now. I had to take off work the 12th to receive my dryer unfortunately and looks like I will have to clear my schedule again for them. I offered to pick up my dryer and meet the driver but they said you cannot do it. They won't even allow you to pick it up at the warehouse. What a joke! My husband and I recently bought a Husqvarna riding lawnmower from this particular location. For the importance of the story, it should be noted our purchase took place on Sunday. Upon the purchase, we were paraded through the store a few times in search of someone who knew how to complete the purchase. That's fine, we didn't mind. Then we were told it would take over 2 weeks for the delivery. We took it in stride and decided to rent a trailer to get it home. Then the ASM realizes there is a tear in the seat. He offers to get a brand new mower put together out of the crate. Says it could be done the next day. We offer, maybe a seat can just be taken off another mower. We just paid $2k and we'd like to just take our purchase, sans torn seat. No, he insists on getting one put together. Fine. Next day (Monday), no call came as we were told would happen. We go to the store and no one has any clue what we are talking about. We return on Tuesday. The one person who apparently takes things out of crates is gone on medical leave. Apparently, no one knew until we were asking for our purchased equipment. Also, no one thought it'd be important to call us. Wednesday, we FINALLY get a call that our product is ready. We tell them we'll be there in a few hours. We rent the trailer. When we arrive to get our item, they have just switched the seat from an old mower and replaced the torn seat. They have done EXACTLY what we suggested, but they've also wasted our time and strained our patience. All in all, we have our product. But this entire ordeal was a monumental waste of our time, of which we have very little to spare. We wanted the equipment to make our lives easier, and this particular location just wasted our time. Learn better customer service skills, please. We won't be returning, which is a shame considering we've recently bought a house in the area and have plenty of projects to accomplish. read more

Lowes store is horrible!! Sale on fence boards through 4/11. From $2.87 to $1.50 each. I placed a $1500 order including nearly 500 fence boards, posts, 2x4's concrete, screws etc. They called back "Sorry, ad was a mistake, we can only give you 10% off on the fence boards". This isn't the first time Lowes has done this. I think they do it on purpose to get you in their store. Want to know what the managers solution is? My husband and I purchased 130 concrete pavers (36 lbs each) and had to make 4 trips to our house and back because we didn't have the patience for delivery. Customer services was great and they helped us reload our car each trip. 4 different employees helped us load our car and made it a really easy process with a forklift. Recently I went to Lowe's in Liberty to look into updating my kitchen. Shane was the first person I talked with and in a very short while, he had helped me select beautiful stainless steel appliances. Then I talked with Fenton about new countertop. Very knowledgeable, very helpful. He helped me pick out a new sink and could not have been nicer. I had to have the doors on the refrigerator changed to a left hand open, the countertop measured and manufactured. The man (contractor, Steve)who measured and installed my countertop, along with his young assistant, was very efficient, and it looks beautiful. Everything was done within a month and I love it. As part of our contract on a new home purchase, my husband and I asked that the seller have new carpet installed prior to closing. They agreed, and asked that we use Lowe's. We went to the store and spoke with a representative who advised that to make certain that we chose carpet that was in stock we have the house measured. The seller did just that. We then returned 3 weeks before our closing and selected an in-stock carpet, so that it could be installed in time. The seller reached out to the store and paid for the carpet. The store gave the seller the number to call for installation. She called, and called, and called the gentleman named Gabriel, who she wasn't able to reach for over a week. When she finally reached him, (2 weeks before closing) she set up the installation for the 17th (our closing date) at 9 a.m. On the 11th, we received a call at 6 p.m. from Lowe's that they actually did not have the carpet that we picked out in stock, and wouldn't until the 20th, so we went up and picked out different carpeting. Then on the 14th we received a call from Lowe's that they would not have the new carpet in stock until the 21st (though we were told it was in stock) so they couldn't install until then. I called the store and spoke with a manager, who asked me for the details. I explained them to her, along with the fact that an installation beyond the 17th would put us in breach of contract, and she stated she would call me back. When she did, she was very condescending, and told me that the seller never set up an install anyway, so we would be fortunate to get the carpet in by the 23rd. I advised her that she was being condescending, and that the seller had in fact set it up though it had been very difficult to do so. She spoke over me, raised her voice, and told me she couldn't even technically talk to me as I was not a part of the contract. She was rude, short, and completely unprofessional. We went through a whirlwind to fix it, and in that whirlwind got a refund from Lowe's for the almost $2,000 we put out for carpeting, and I will not go back any time in the foreseeable future. I have also shared my experience with many of my friends, many in the business of referrals, who will also not be going back. My husband tried to call the main number and get some sort of apology for this egregious abuse of a customer, but we never received anything. What a shame. read more

The worst customer service I have ever had at Lowes. I went to purchase 1400 sq. feet of tile and was ready to hand over the money tonight. When I went into the tile department I immediately went to an aisle with a Lowes employee. His name is JASON. He saw me stand there for about 1 minute and did not offer me any help whatsoever. He then went to another aisle and I had to go find him to ask about the tile that I was interested in. He then followed me back to where I first was. From past experiences in shopping for tile, they usually get the pieces of tile out and lay it out for me to see what it would look like. Maybe lowes doesn't do that but he was rude about it. I asked Jason to lay two different types of tile out for me to see and he just pointed at them on the shelf and that was it. I then asked when the certain tile would be in stock and he said 14 days immediately and asked if I purchased right now would I get free delivery. He was completely rude and made smart remarks to me... Not even just once but a few times. I had gone to another Lowes that morning because it was close by to where I was but I wanted to purchase it at the Liberty location since my business is near by. Lowe's does not care about their customers, they will repeatedly fail and instead of doing everything they can to make it right they will choose to ignore you, deny claims and blame you, the custom, instead. We decided to do our partial bathroom remodel through Lowe's instead of going straight through a contractor, because we thought that since this is what Lowe's does the contractor would be good, reliable and we wouldn't have to deal with the contractor. Oh we were so wrong. Our project was suppose to take 1 week, our project took 6 months, and was only finished when I called and gave them a deadline to finish or we wanted a refund. It not only took a long time, but we had materials ordered incorrectly, not ordered at all, broken or old materials installed, given start dates multiple times only to have no one show up, and contractors showing up unexpected, just to name a few issues. When I went to the store to complain I was always told the store manager was off or unavailable, I was told by other managers that we would be compensated for the situation, but was NEVER called back, by anyone! I started calling their Customer service asking to speak to a manager outside of that particular store, and was always told someone would call, to this day no one has ever called. If you value your satiety, money, and home do not do business with Lowe's. read more
