Ordered a Dryer from this Lowe's. Big mistake. Delivery company called to say they didn't receive a dryer from Lowe's in time for the delivery appointment. Okay... A week later delivery company shows up with the dryer...with no hook ups and unwilling to take away our old dryer (even though we expressly paid for them to do this). Had to send it back and looks like we're at least another week with no dryer. Called to talk to customer service and got a really nice and polite rep who couldn't get her managers to give her an answer on what should be done. The company showed that it doesn't care, they just want your money and they don't want to be responsible for their subcontractors. Never again. read more

Someone came and said he didn't have much knowledge about the item we were looking for and that he would send someone else right over. 5 minutes passed, no one came. So I was in your store today, I am on crutches, I waved at the two girls at the return desk. One girl asked the other to help me. This staff member was unable to say hi or really acknowledge me as she pulled out the cart for me. As this was my first time using the cart, I was happy to find it pretty easy to drive as she gave no instructions on how to use it. This store was not really big on taking to customers. We walked by about 10 staff members we only had one say hi and asked if there was anything he could do for us. The funny thing was he was driving the forklift. I am only giving the two stars because of him. When we got back to the door area, as we are need four sliding back doors. We were told we would be charged to have someone come out to give a quote. Well, just rented the carpet cleaner from this location, not the best cleaner! Should've known by how cheap it was to rent! The best part is that when I brought it back, it had some lint by the attachment area. The clerk looked at me and said I needed to take it back home and clean it again! I looked at her and said I can wipe it away with a paper towel, can I have one? She said no; so I told her I'm not taking it back! How much to have them wipe it, The DEPOSIT!!! Are you kidding me!! Staff here is absolutely useless, they have no idea what's in their department and will direct you to another department where eventually you'll get sent back to where you were in the first place until maybe you can find it on your own - if you're lucky. Lumber and hardware staff will avoid eye contact as the last thing they want is to be asked a question. Checkout staff mumble incomprehensibly - no, "did you find everything"... nothing, they act like they hate their job. They sold me a refrigerator that they didn't have in stock even though Alex promised me that it was definitely available. The manager Pepe wasn't even willing to help out he was more concerned with the trees than he was about our situation. Bri in the appliance department was rude and unprofessional. Not sure if Lowe's customer service has plummeted as a whole or if it's just this store in particular. Made a purchase at a different location and (curse the day!) it was transferred over to the N. Long Beach location!! After two failed delivery attempts because the units were defective, some person named Brian was kind enough (or so I thought) to make the situation right. Told me to come in to exchange for a different unit, promised he would be there and that he would talk to his manager about the situation so everybody was "in the know". I show up and Brian had already gone home for the day (so he lied), his manger Carlos was vaguely knowledgeable about the situation and when he tried hiding out from me "in the back" a very antagonizing, unhelpful guy named Brandon got involved with the situation. Fortunately, other employees started looking for Carlos as well so he had no choice but to come out and deal with me as well. One pounding headache and two hours later, I finally got checked out. During this whole ordeal I noticed other customers with similar complaints about their appliance purchase/deliveries. Safe to say I will be taking my business to HomeDepot from here on out. Don't bother with the curbside pick up. They don't answer the phone when you get there. So unorganized.

Online order and Curbside pick up needs work! It's definitely not like Home Depot. It took 2 days for order to be ready for pick. Home Depot has it ready the next day. The lumber I needed was less expensive at Lowe's so I thought I'd try it. HUGE mistake!! When I got to curbside pick up it took over 10 mins to just get through to someone (phone line was either busy or no answer) and then another 10-15 mins to get my order. Home Depot has associates waiting outside to help you. I ordered some lumber so I knew that by ordering online I would be taking a risk in the lumber not being exactly how I wanted it. I did not need it to be perfect but I at least needed it to be usable. A few of the pieces were not useable unless you want a hole in your project or a chunk on the side ripped off. The lumber was wrapped with a plastic bag so I didn't see the imperfections until I got home. I guess you get what you pay for...poor service and poor product!! Back to Home Depot for me!! read more

I'm extremely disappointed at Lowe's right now. I walked in to purchase a tankless hot water heater for my elderly parents during this Covid 19 period. I found a sales associate and he told me to go to customer service to inquire, pay and they will bring it up. I wait patiently in the return line. Keeping my social distancing of course. I go up to the customer Service person. I Told them I wanted to but a tankless hot water heater. He starts to ring it up and I ask about the rebates they're posting online at Lowe's.com. He told me that they don't except any rebates even though it's on their personal website Lowe's.com. The sales associate said the websites incorrect and you must mail in to receive your rebate. On Lowes.com it directly says do not mail in your rebates. It clearly says it in the last paragraph. I ask to speak with a manage. The sales associate disappears for about 10 minutes. Next thing I know there is somebody Saying is there's something I can help you with. I started to explain to the manager and showed him on Lowes.com what the offers were for tankless hot water heaters. He then explains to me that Lowe's store and Lowe's.com are totally different entities and are not the same. I said OK then if I order it at Lowes.com why can I pick it up at the Lowe's store. We went round and round. I got nowhere. I didn't ask for the regional managers direct phone number and he laughed and gave me 1-800 44 Lowes. I said what's this. He says as my direct manager's phone number. He also told me you'll get nowhere because I am Lowe's and I can raise any any price or lower any price if I want too. Then I ask him why doesn't he help me out. He just walked away from me saying I am the LAW at Lowe's. The law of the land manager his name is Sam. I have been in customer service for over 25 years and this is the worst experience ever. He needs to go back to the sales associate Customer Service class and have some one on one coaching sessions. I will be posting my photographs of the screenshots of Lowes.com and how they made me wait on the phone for over 45 minutes and then hung up at me. I hate to one Star a hardware store but they have earned it. Ordered washer and dryer and had them delivered. Once delivered the washing machine was not working so we exchanged it (it happens no big deal). It's been over a week and still know washing machine. They continue to cancel on delivery times and we even had a problem with the delivery service guy refusing to hook up the washer stating he is not a plumber. This is the worst. Went to their Christmas Tree Lot to get a tree. Their prices this year are outrageous! Way over priced, more costly than many other Tree lots. The cheapest ones were thin, had holes/gaps, not full at all, not that tall and still over $40! Asked their so-called manager jose if we could get a small discount on one of the thin ugly trees and he rudely said "just a 5% discount, take it or leave it! You can pick any other tree (over $60!) take it or leave it!" And rudely walked away. We had purchased our Christmas trees from the Lowe's lot for many years and never before came across such a rude so-called manager. Does he not know anything about customer service?? If 5% or $2 is the only discount you can give, so be it, but he could've said it nicely instead of being so rude and boorish. We'll never get a Christmas tree from them again, and we won't even shop there anymore. Go elsewhere to get your Christmas tree, there are less expensive tree lots out there, with much better customer service. We ended up going to Walmart and they were extremely nice. Customer Service is their forte! I like being greeted when I walk into a store. It makes me feel welcomed and appreciated. I also like how friendly the employees are. Everyone greets you without being pushy. People say hello and ask how you are doing. They'll also personally walk you to any aisle you need or help load things in carts and push them to the checkout. I purchased some rather large items and didn't have enough room left in the car. Lowes held my items until I could empty the car out and return. This review is specifically about an appliance delivery issue. The employees in the Long Beach store are helpful, but the delivery service is dysfunctional. I bought a Frigidaire fridge and it took a couple tries for the delivery as no one showed up on the first time. When they came they refused to switch the hinges on the doors for me so that the fridge and freezer opened the other way. They claimed they couldn't do it because that task wasn't on the work order. On the work order, it stated I wasn't home the day of the previous scheduled delivery. That was erroneous as I waited for an extra two hours past the four hour delivery window in case they were running late. They were a no show that day. I went into the store to schedule someone to switch the hinges for me, and the employee in the appliance department told me the delivery guys should change the hinges. Also, the reason I had to go into the store is because making contact on the phone with the delivery department is almost impossible as either I've had to let it ring a long time or after I talked to someone, and they needed to put me on hold, the line was disconnected. I scheduled a new appointment in the store for the hinges to be changed but no one called or showed up. I finally called the Frigidaire company today, and they have set up an appointment for me with their service. They will call me 30-60 minutes before they arrive. Only one delivery team called me from the Lowes delivery service. read more

Called corporate office talked to Becky. Didn't seem interested in my complain & was slow to verbally respond back to me as if she was mad at me for calling. Talked to store manager Anthony. He told me it had been more than 6 months since I paid $40 to have them come to my house to measure my door so I was out my money. Didn't offer me a discount for my inconvenience. I purchased a refrigerator on 5/19 and as of today 6/15 no delivery yet! The sales person was nice but that's about it. After the sale you are on your own. After several calls I keep getting bounced around from the store to their 3rd part delivery company. And they both keep pointing the blame on each other. So frustrating, After spending $2,900 on a refrigerator with no customer service at all. This by far is worse than going to a dealership to buy a car! The online pick up experience is horrible. I waited around for approximately 20 minutes to pick up a dishwasher. When the dishwasher was finally wheeled out, the associate was unable to help me left it into my truck. When another associate was asked to help me, he was to busy. We bought a brand new fridge, only option was delivery despite my husband having a truck and being ready to transport it. Delivery guys arrived and the fridge was damaged, since it was early in the day we were promised that the replacement could be delivered the next day. We were willing to take a discount for the damage but was told that's not an option (though I'm sure it's going to go right back to the floor with an "as is" discounted price). Don't hear anything the rest of the day, call the next morning (Thursday) to discover they weren't going to deliver until Monday! I just love these folks. I came in today for lumber, rocks, mulch, soil and casters. Yes it is a movable raised planting bed. Well first Aldo helped me pick out and load the lumber on to my cart. Oliver loaded my other cart with mulch, rocks and soil, then helped me check out and finally unload the cart into my little trailer! Cole came out and assisted with the trailer loading. I never once asked for help, these guys are professional, anticipative and engaging. Nice to shop and find assistance when I need it. BRAVO guys...great job, with many thanks. read more

I applied for a Lowes Credit Card at the Bellflower blvd Lowes. I was approved and was given a temp Lowes credit Card. I then shopped for about $500 worth of items and a $300 Lowes gift card. When checking out, the cashier could not verify my new card, that was approved an hour ago in the store. I was left standing at the register for 45 min while the head cashier was on the phone with someone from somewhere... she didn't check back with me about the hold up. 45 min later she walks up to me and says "I'm sorry but Lowes credit is denying the credit given to you earlier and she proceeded to ripe up my temp credit card and throw it in the trash can. I asked if there was someone I could talk to and that I'm sure it was a mistake. She said "No, you will be contacted by mail in 7-10 days with an explanation. I said "I will call them when I get home." She rudely replied "No, it wont change anything, you must wait for the mailed explanation". I went home and called Lowes Credit Card services the next morning and cleared the problem in a minute. It was an identity verification issue. I told them of my experience the night before at the store and they said that I could go and purchase my items at the store without waiting for a mailed response. I returned to the store with my friend. We went to the customer service counter and requested a new temp Lowes Credit card printout. They looked up my account, printed a new temp card and handed it to me. We shopped and went to the register with about the same items I tried buy the night before. The same cashier from the night before walked up to us and said "Your not going to try using your temp lowes card for this purchase" I looked at her and said "Yes, I am, I phoned them this morning and they cleared the issue up. There is no issue with the card." I said. She looked annoyed, rolled her eyes and walked away. We went to the nearest register and proceeded to check out. The same women came over and took the temp Lowes card paper again and proceeded to disappear again. I called Lowes Credit card customer service from my cell and walked over her while she was on the phone. She started claiming the same issue from the night before. I told her I was speaking to lowes credit on my cell phone. She spoke to them on my cell. About 25 minutes after she took the temp card again, another Lowes employee I had not seen before showed up at the register. He was a short white man, clean cut, light hair in his late twenties to 30. He very rudely turned a key on the register to let the transaction go though, and handed me the receipt and returned the temporary Lowes card back as well. He didn't say a word to us, he looked mad, he proceeded to fold his arms and follow us all the way to the car. We didn't get his name, because we didn't really put together that he followed us out until on the way home. The few days later, I went back to this store and I was going purchase two Lowes gift cards for $200 each with my Lowes Credit Card. When my transaction was declined at the register. I told him I had a least $1500 of open credit on the card. He direct me over to the customer service counter. Upon walking up to the customer service desk. The short man that followed us out of the store a few days ago, raced up to the counter. He yelled, you will not purchase gift cards with a credit card. I said, I bought one the other night for $300 with my Lowes Credit Card. He YELLED, "Its my store, and NOT AT THIS STORE, I'm in charge, I will not allow you to do this. You can by it with cash or debt, that's it". What is this guys problem? My friend called him an ass and we left. I called the store when I got home and asked for managers name, I then called Lowes Corporate office and complained. The next day the store manager "Jeremy Moore" called me personally take care of the issue. Jeremy said that it was not a problem letting me use my Lowes credit card to by two $200 Lowes gift cards. He told me that rude short man was not the manager as he claimed to be. That he was an assistant something to the front named "Blake", with no authority nor any reason to treat us in such a manner. Jeramy, the store manger had reviewed previous days video tapes and he had seen the events I told him about. He asked me meet him at the store at 2 pm that day and he would take care if me personally. I did and i purchased the gift cards without a problem and left. FANTASTIC JOB to store Manager "Jeremy Moore" As for Blake, I think he may be over compensating for something.... I happened to go by this store to what flooring sample options they had and happened to run into Jimmy in flooring. What a delight! I had been to a few different locations as I tackled various home improvement projects and upon mentioning to him how difficult it was to select flooring based on a sample that was many feet above me and at an angle, he promptly asked if I'd like to bring it down so I can have a bettter look at it. I was shocked! I had been working with a flooring person at my local Lowe's and even mentioned how it would be nice if the samples could be brought down for a better look and was never given this as an option. I was delighted! After many days of indecisiveness on a flooring selection, it was that evening that I was able to finally make a decision! Jimmy was the most helpful I've ever experienced at any Lowe's. Had it not been such a mess to have my measurement and such transferred to the store, it would've been done in a heartbeat. A couple weeks later with little response from the local Lowe's I did order from, I sure wish I would've taken the time to transfer to Jimmy for handling. I can honestly say I don't think he would've let my order fall by the wayside once he secured my order. Fellow Yelpers, if you're looking at flooring at Lowe's, Jimmy is your guy.
