My review is basically about the customer service experience I just had at this particular Lowe's location in Menifee. I went there today to return an item. My experience at Customer Service was excellent. The associate greeted me with a smile and was friendly throughout the entire returns process. I decided since I was already here I would look at the Christmas lights. Immediately, I was approached by a very friendly and helpful gentleman. I wish I had gotten his name, since he provided me with excellent service. He clearly went above and beyond trying to help me find some lights that were on display. Next I went to the regular lighting section and was helped by two friendly employees there. They both helped me find a particular light bulb I was looking for. Thus far, all of the employees I encountered were very friendly and helpful. That all changed when I got to the checkout. The cashier, Bonna, was not friendly, had no smile on her face and handed me my receipt without even a simple "thank you." That's basic customer service shiz people. I still left there happy. I didn't let that one bad apple ruin the whole bunch. read more

I get it, it was damn 8:00 am.. But seriously, I walked by 3-4 employees, how hard is it to say good morning back. That and I hung out in the lumber for a while (approx. 10 min.) and not one soul was in sight...the same happened in lawn and garden. If the manager's read this and want to check the video logs, it was today (15May14) at approx. 8:00 am. I have a mow-hawk...can't miss me... Even when I was still an Active Duty Marine, it was like this, so I doubt my appearance has anything to do with these inactions. read more

This place at best, sucks when there isn't a pandemic. Don't go there until this is over, trust me. Service is about has helpful as a sore d!@k when fully staffed. I bought a Bosch dish washer from the appliance section and wasn't told about the extra parts I would need. My husband and I are DIY people so you could imagine our frustration. A couple of days pass and I noticed the dishwasher door wasn't staying closed so I TRIED to call the appliance department to ask for suggestion. After 30 and 8-9 attempts to call that department I asked for the manager. I explained my problem and the manager said he was sorry and he took my info down and said the appliance department would call me right back. Well it's been over a week and my husband an we able to fix the problem on our own thanks to YouTube. Does nobody believe in good customer service anymore? read more

Absolutely the worst customer service! We waited 3 weeks for our microwave to come in and no one called to say they actually received it. When I called not only did the girl NOT apologize, she said "no matter what I say it won't make you happy". So we waited a day to come pick it up. Today the girl who was supposed to get it said she was too busy. After walking around the store and seeing multiple people texting instead of working, customer service said now they could not find it. The one shining light was their head cashier, Nick, who was literally working as hard as can be. We left without a microwave and will think twice before buying anything again at Lowes. read more

I called them to see if they had a part in stock, they transfered me about 8 times, put me on hold 10 times and hung up on 4 times. Hands down the worst customer service I've ever experienced. This Lowes was very pleasant. This is our regular hardware store that we shop at but today in particular was very busy. Yet it was still clean, quiet and the employees were very helpful. One employee in particular Glenn,in the flooring department understood the difference between online inventory stock and in store store stock and immediately got on the phone to call another Lowe's to see if they had our product in stock put aside the amount we wanted,and gave us directions to get there. Went there today to buy propane, it took 3 minuets to pay, then had to wait 30 minuets for someone to come and unlock the cabinet. They paged 4 times and no one came. This is unacceptable! read more

Customer service is awful.... Asked for assistance on a new patio sliding door and stood in the aisle for 25 mins till I got irritated.... The only reason why I bought products there is because my renters needed things immediately..... If it weren't for that I would have driven the 20 mins to Home Depot..... If any lowes corporate are reading this I was there at at 10:30am in front of aisle 18 look at video and tell me how long I was waiting there.... And my transaction # is 13488266....... I have been to the Lowes in Menifee many times. The great service never ceases to amaze me. I had to write. I bought a very tiny BBQ. The screws that held the top handle kept falling out when it got hot. I needed screws. Really? What to get. I brought one screw with me, asked for help and the man who helped me sized the screw ,doubled the length and got me something called a locking washer. All that service for 60 cents! So I bought 50$ worth of patio items because I was so pleased with my service!! I just wanted to keep walking around the store! Great job Lowes!! Lowe's is doing my kitchen remodel. It has been a horrible experience. First they overcharged me $900. When they refunded my Lowe's account it screwed up the special financing which is one of the reasons I chose Lowe's for the project. I then had to spend an hour and a half after work sitting at Lowe's while the manager called the finance company to fix what they screwed up. The quartz countertops were installed and the seam was horrific. I took pictures and went back to Lowe's. They sent a different person out to fix the seam so now I have taken two days off work. The tile backsplash person came with the material order to install the backsplash and part of the order is missing so he has to reschedule. This time my husband had made arrangements to be home the two days the job was supposed to take. Now we have to wait for the missing components to be ordered before rescheduling. I called the Lowe's install department and asked what happened and was told the parts weren't ordered. No explanation but they can cancel the tile job and refund me. This while my kitchen is in a shambles. Now we have taken four days off work for the only completed part of the job which should have only been one day install. I would not recommend Lowe's for home improvement. Find recommendations for private contractors and save yourself a headache and unnecessary time off work. read more

This store seriously needs to get its act together. I have recently started doing numerous home improvement projects and have been coming here almost daily. For every 1 employee that is very helpful and understands what good customer service is there are 4 more that act as if you are inconveniencing them and bothering them. I have even been flat out ignored multiple times by employees when I'm standing at their kiosk while they are pretending I don't even exist. It's truly Maddening. The store manager needs to seriously reevaluate his hiring procedures and train people appropriately. Customer service needs to be a top priority. read more

Just moved up from San Diego and have been making many trips here for my new home. I actually live closer to a Home Depot but the extra miles are worth it. Every employee I have encountered has been super courteous and knowledgeable. Store is always very clean and organized. I just got back from shopping for window blinds at Lowe's after an excruciatingly bad experience at Home Depot. Margaret in the window treatment department is an intelligent, charming woman with a delightful sense of humor. She made ordering my blinds fun, fast and easy. The window treatments at Lowe's are inexpensive and lovely. The best thing about Lowe's is that there are actually nice, friendly, knowledgeable people there and they were right there in their departments. Currently doing a ton of renovations to our new home ! This location has the most knowledgeable and nice staff. Walking through the store , staff from each department approach us and ask if we needed any assistance. We purchased a beautiful Samsung refrigerator as part of a Black Friday promotion, which came with free delivery and install. Leo in the appliance section was super helpful getting this lined up for us. Michael in the paint department has been amazing, he helped us with all our paint related questions, and assisted us with selecting a Wagner paint sprayer. Michael gave us tips on how to paint our cabinets, and what tools we would need for the job. He has been a god send for us. Faith in customer service is super sweet, she always recognizes us, and comes to say hello and ask what projects were working on. Larry (Santa) is really helpful when trying to locate different products in the store . I can't say enough how great the staff is at this location. Thank you Lowe's ! read more

I was looking for some sockets. I could not find them when I went there. Online they said they had them and would be ready for pickup within two hours. I highly doubted this so I used the lowes chat program and asked how it works. In particular, would lowes pull the sockets, set them aside, and call me? I was assured that would happen within two hours. So I paid for the sockets online and waited. Near the end of the day, much longer than two hours, I finally got a call saying they did not have the sockets. She wanted to know if I would like to cancel my order. Instead, I asked if they could get them and call me when my order was complete. She had to ask her supervisor because she had not thought that far ahead! Her supervisor told her they would order them because they had to resupply their shelves but I'd have to call every week to check. They would not be calling me! I asked to please cancel my order! Well as of today viewing my online order status it has not been canceled and there is no option allowing me to cancel the order. I think I'll go back to my old way of dealing with Lowes. Call and ask if they have it in stock, then ask them to put it aside, then ask for their name and see if it matches what they told you at the start. You have to lead them through every step of the way and not be surprised with what they say or how badly they fail... read more

My husband and I shop here all the time... after this experience we will be taking our business elsewhere. In November 17 we special ordered a oven and dishwasher. There were none in stock at the location at the time so they told us it would be a 6 week wait until we received our product. We have a working oven and dishwasher, and we're just wanting to upgrade so the 6 week wait was not a problem. Yesterday I received a call from the manager of the department (Judy) who left me a voicemail saying our oven had come in damaged, but it was only the back so she was going to have it delivered anyways. Shortly after, I received another call from the delivery man himself stating that the oven was extremely damaged and he was worried it would not even fit in the space because of the large bulge in the side. I told him that we paid a lot of money for this brand new oven and we're not going to accept an extremely damaged one. He agreed. My husband then calls Judy back to see what the plan is on getting us a new oven, and she rudely tells us it will be another 6 weeks till we get the new one and it is our fault because most people will just accept a discount and take the damaged one. The nerve. As if this isn't bad enough customer service especially coming from a manager... she hangs up on my husband. We will be shopping at Home Depot from now on. read more

Today me and my wife were there looking at light fixtures. Planing on purchasing some.I am a frequent customer here and most of the time I know what im going in for so I dont need help .today we were trying to get some help. 20 minutes later we fianaly went to the counter and they said oh well send someone .so we waited 15 more minutes with two workers walked by but didnt ask us if we needed any help.so bottom line here is sale was lost and home depot got it.maybe management can hire people that want to help and want to be into there job and not just be there because its cool.as I look on your yelp page it seems like this has been a ongoing problem you need to address. read more

Praying for patience & doing deep breathing exercises. An hour later, truly & honestly-- nothing accomplished. 1. Looking for a bath fixture, size & color a challenge, website says Lowes has it! I show up, buy it & model & serial # match but measurements do not! It doesn't fit. 2. I come for blinds & need them cut. I am told- sorry can't help you til my relief arrives (15 minutes later!)... an entire warehouse of employees & only 2 people can cut & I have to wait 3. I need carpet & inventory reads they have 18' left. Sweet! I need 15'. Guess what!?! They didn't have any in stock after double checking nada. Back to blinds, also-- not enough inventory. I wouldn't be here if I had the competitor as a choice. They didn't have the carpet & the new vendor they buy blinds from stink-- they don't work. Went in 2 weeks ago to buy some paint and a few other things . Stood in line waiting to be help in the paint department. When a older man I believe his name is Michael he wears glasses in his mid 50's or maybe even older . He didn't even greet me first of all and ask me what kind of paint I needed . Told him my husband was getting a cart . So then he said if you not ready get out of line so I can help the other Customer . I then told him excuse me . Then he just look at me like move lady . So then my husband made eye contact with him and he told me is that your husband. I then said yes and told him that he was rude and didn't appreciate what he said . He look at me didn't even apologize and I ordered my paint . The worst part of it was that it was not the first time he was rude to me . Really annoyed by that , Lowe's needs to push there associates to have good customer services . If they don't like there Job then they need to go and get some new people who want to work that are young and fresh and not old and grumpy who don't care about the costumers. read more

I wish I could give a better review. I love that this Lowe's is so close to my house. But, that's about it. They are consistently understaffed. It's always a 50/50 chance they'll actually have what I need, in the quantity I need. And, when I order online it can take up to two weeks to get an item being shipped from a store two minutes from my house! So disappointed. read more

Re: Customer Service: Thursday April 5th early afternoon -around 2pm With a long line at one register in the garden section- (more than 8 customers), Two employees Andrea and Crishna- were at the 2nd CLOSED register-These 2 were in engaged in an animated, intense conversation- completely unaware of the long line of customers waiting. When I asked if their register was open, I got an abrupt "NO." With no further explanation. They did not explain, (apparently they were not authorized to to use the register), did not move over to help their co-worker, did not move quickly go get/call another cashier. They did not even acknowledge all the customers waiting! When they had a break in their conversation, they did tell the cashier (Carla) they would send her help. HOWEVER- that help, did NOT come for the 15 minutes I remained in the line. I understand being busy, even short staffed- BUT their conversation clearly was MUCH more important to them, than the customers. On the other hand, Carla the cashier, was VERY friendly, thoughtful, efficient and kind! She offered to get my mom (89 yrs old) and I a basket while we waited in line, for the rather heavy items we were holding. This was prior to our reaching her at the register or my inquiry about her co-workers! (Hmmm,,,? Seems that ought to be something the other 2 should've thought of ?!!) Upon my inquiry about the other 2 employees, Carla was very diplomatic, professionally tried to explain their behavior, demonstrating great customer service. I rented the Rug Doctor and the attachment didn't work. I called and asked if they could knock off anything from the price since we now had to drive all the way back to lowes to return the faulty attachment in the middle of our carpet cleaning. I was put on hold as the employee said she would transfer me to the manager. The manager never bothered to come to the phone to discuss this matter with me and told the employee to say no they wouldn't knock off anything. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE LOWES!! read more

This is not a difficult business to be in, how ever Lowes Menifee can make anything seem difficult. Ordered a Kobalt (Lowes Brand) leaf blower on Lowes.com and it was supposed to be delivered to the Menifee store for pick up. That never happened. Customer service is so vital for a good business. Lowe's realizes that, and provides great customer service. There are times when I visit the store, and quite a few associates approach me and ask if they can help. Not only do they staff each department with a person qualified to assist in that department, the staff takes time to answer basic questions in order to get the proper parts-allowing quick repairs at home. I lack a green thumb but I had to take care of my lawn because of HOA. Lowe's website helped me to find everything I needed to regrow my lawn and the reviews per products were really helpful. The site even shows you what aisle the product was in making my shopping easy and not having to ask anyone where anything is. The cashiers in the garden center are really polite and check out pretty fast depending on how much items a customer has. Plenty of parking, never really crowded and great customer service on the garden side. read more
