I have spent a ton of money at these stores since 1993. Never again will I step foot inside these stores. We purchased carpeting for out basement in NOVEMBER 2016 . We still have not gotten the problems solved . The installing company has become a joke. They cut our new carpeting in 3 - three- pieces and installed them in the wrong location , wrong direction and did the worst job of seaming. Now the corporate office 866-284-8989 ext 6589189 ERIC HERMAN is refusing to understand our view point. After we called ULTIMATE HOME SERVICES , JESSICA FRYE 317-675-4870 she is now stating that we have no idea what we are talking about . We will have to wait another week to get an answer to why they cut up our carpeting and why they are refusing to replace it . They have been here 3 times already and the carpeting is still cut into pieces. NEVER AGAIN , we have the full paper work package for her review and she doesn't want to see any of it . Do not use Lowe's for any fence projects. Not unless you want to wait months for the installation and pray that the permit is submitted (which you pay for in the contract) and all the parts are actually ordered. Bought a house in November - have three dogs and no fence so couldn't really move in until the fence was in. Couldn't request a permit from Newark until the house was mine. OK - have a rental place I could stay at so I could wait a bit. Started out great - project manager contacted me immediately and we got to work on the contract. Signed and paid and was told the material would be in a couple of weeks. Two weeks later, the material is in and the installation group Lowe's farmed me out to calls and says the installation would start in another 6 weeks. What? Not acceptable. Tried reaching the Lowe's project manager and he had quit. After talking with numerous people at Lowe's, I was provided a new project manager. He was good - found another company to do the installation and they could start as soon as they were provided the permit. Found out no one submitted the permit even though I had paid for it in the contract so I submitted it myself and paid for it - again. Permits take a while, I tried to be patient. Two weeks later, I have the permit in hand, contacted Lowe's, thought we were good to go - had a scheduled date for the material to be delivered but no material showed up but the fence guys did. Contacted Lowe's again - I wasn't on the delivery schedule. How can that be I asked since I had already spoken to Lowe's about the date? Material finally shows up, and the fence started going in but then found out Lowe's never ordered the latches or handles for the gates. Project manager ordered them and put a rush in - said they should be in in a couple of days. Get a call in a another few days that it will be another two weeks before the missing parts show up. Asked if they could just put some temp latches and handles on so I could actually move in - no, it would void my warranty. All told, by the time the fence is done, it will be over two months since I signed the contract and they took my money. Pathetic. read more

We had our kitchen done through Lowe's. The people in the store were very helpful, but we had lots of issues with the work. Floor tiles came apart, shelves in new cabinets came crashing down, sink drained started leaking and had to be replaced..among other things. CPO was not helpful and very unresponsive. Took over a year and half and a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to get the job finished. Would never use them again. read more

I tried to order pavers for a patio that we are building. I have never been so frustrated with service. They posted a delivery date and the order never showed up. No one contacted me. I called 2 days later and found out delivery would be 3 weeks later. I followed up and someone told me they could deliver a couple days early. I received a confirmation phone call the night before the delivery with a timeframe. On the day of the scheduled delivery, someone from Lowe's called to tell me the order was not in stock even though there was a pending charge on my cc and a delivery had been scheduled. I spoke to a manager who had no idea when supply would arrive. I then found another vendor and called to cancel. My order could not be found. The person told me my order was now on the truck. I told them to cancel that I did not want it. After further research, they then told me that the order had already been canceled even though I did not cancel the order. Why did every person have a different answer and seemingly so did their computer system? Wow, will not be placing a large order with them ever again. read more

I shop at Lowes all the time at the Avondale, Pa store, however this time I went to the Lowes store in Newark, DE. I ordered a patio door with installation. The customer service person in the door department, Jennifer Twisselmann was nasty and had no customer service skills. I still ordered the door and just figured she had a bad day. They when they were scheduled to install, they said they count find the door. Then they said it was mismarked. This took 3 weeks of phone calls, with everyone saying they were "researching it". Finally, I just went back to the store to speak to someone to get resolve. Low and behold, I had to speak to Jennifer Twissleman again. I told her I need to know what's going on. She then proceeds to yell at me about her dog being sick and she had to take him to the vet. So her excuse for my order being held up for 3 weeks was because of her dog??? What does that have to do with me and my order??? Horrible, she should be let go. Do not buy anything from her unless you enjoy abuse. I will never shop at this location again. read more

We purchased a Samsung stove and microwave from Lowe's in Ogletown, DE. We could not be happier with our purchases. In fact, yesterday, we just purchased a Samsung refrigerator and a Bosch dishwasher. Lowe's is having a great sale. See Jen in appliances for sales assistance. On May 16, 2017, I purchased a Maytag washer and a dryer a specific model because the sign said if purchased together there was a $100 rebate. Asked about it several times and was told that I will receive $100 back as a rebate. I picked up the washer the next day but the dryer was not in stock. I sent in the rebate and received only $50. The dryer was not available for several weeks. After a month and a half and numerous phone calls, I picked up the dryer. However, did not receive the other $50 rebate. Now, Lowe's claims that there was no rebate for the dryer. Lowe's does not have the sign and there is nothing they can do about this. My recommendation is that from now on, take pictures of all signs before you purchase anything. Read carefully your receipt and do not believe any of the sales person. You have to take care of yourself. Lowe's will not help a customer. What a shame !!! read more
