The difference between Lowe's build and Home Depot: - Home Depot uses paint, Lowe's uses stickers - Home Depot supplies a table, Lowe's supplies ground space - Home Depot staggers out how many kids at a time, Lowe's does not - We had a friend who was supposed to attend and was sick, they gave us the kit for them. I'm am extremely disappointed with both Lowe's and the third-party delivery company, Chris Transportations out of Roanoke. Immediately after the incident, I reported the damage, provided photographs, the date it occurred, and a detailed explanation of what happened. One important detail I did not initially include was that the delivery crew used a refrigerator dolly to move my stove into my home, even though one was not necessary. My stove sits between two countertops, and during delivery, my flooring was damaged. The company denied my claim, stating that the damage appeared to be "fresh." Frankly, that explanation is both unreasonable and insulting. The tear is located in the middle of the floor where the stove sits. If I had somehow damaged the floor myself while moving the stove, the damage would logically be along the sides where the appliance would make contact--not directly in the middle. Instead of taking responsibility, the delivery company essentially accused me of causing the damage myself to obtain payment. That is unacceptable and not how customers should be treated. Lowe's, you should carefully vet the third-party companies you hire to deliver merchandise into customers' homes. Your customers trust that the people representing your brand will handle their property with care and stand behind their work if something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. This entire situation has left me very disappointed in both the delivery company and Lowe's. Based on how this claim was handled, I will seriously consider shopping elsewhere in the future. I was asked to make a $400 deposit prior to an expert coming out to measure my countertops. This time I was quoted $3,800. Lowe's would not refund me my en $400 deposit. Worst customer service I've ever had to deal with told me I have to wait 10 days to receive my money back on a purchase that was canceled in store not even out for shipment. It was canceled the day after it was ordered. It wasn't expect to arrive two weeks from then but yet I have to wait 10 days to get a refund. If you are thinking about having a big project read this first. I had my kitchen renovated. The designer ordered the wrong cupboards for one side of my kitchen. But how Lowe's handled it was surreal. First they wanted me to pay for the new cabinets. I wanted a broom closet tall enough to hold a broom. Nope, their suggestion was to drill a hole from the lower cabinet to the upper cabinet in the inside so I could tuck it in. The upper cabinets were so long that if I wanted to use a mixer I would have to stick my head under the cabinets and stir off to the side. It took approx 6 weeks to get them to order the correct cabinets and another 4 to get them. Then I found out the backsplash I ordered almost 5 months ago can't be ordered But I should go to their competitor to buy it. What? I opened up a credit card per their recommendation for a discount add extended financing and they messed that up. Charging interest when there shouldn't be any. Answer? Basically too bad. This is just 1/2 of my experiences with Lowe's. I'm still trying to get a working kitchen 2 months AFTER the time it should be done. A couple of cabinet's came with gaps where the sides meet the bottom. If you want to have no support, huge delays and a less than promised products then try Lowe's. read more

I ordered a utility trailer from Lowe's. When I brought it home, one of the lights didn't work. As I needed it and their "assembly team" comes in once a week, I brought it to a trailer company and decided to pay for the repair myself. The trailer company called saying the light were fixed but none of the lugs nuts were tightened which would have cause it to fall apart and all the tires were put on with the stem valves on the INSIDE! The bill was $312.50. They offered to speak to the mgr. at Lowes to confirm the problems they found. I returned to Lowes, gave them the info and never got a call. I got the runaround and returned 2 more times before I got a call from their complaints dept. offering $100. I refused. They offered $150. Again, I refused. Their final offer was $200 and I had 5 days to accept! I didn't accept it. I sent a registered letter to corporate and heard nothing. Because of the shoddy assembly, someone could have been hurt or killed if it fell apart on the hgwy. Lowe's is fortunate I did bring it to a trailer company that was able to assess the faulty assembly and no injuries occurred. I'm surprised that Lowe's has even 1star. Lowe's in San Francisco is not Customer Service. I bought an LG washing machine last year and it's horrible. I wanted to return the washing machine because of the bad reviews. I didn't know that if you have it more than 24-hours you are unable to return it. It does not give Hot water on any cycle. The only time I will get hot water is when I put it on Tub Clean. Typical manufacturer defect with zero honorable support. I purchased an Allen + Roth 51-in W Bright White Electric Fireplace with Remote Control on 1/2/2024. Unfortunately, just days after the one-year mark, on 1/2/2025, the heater on the unit broke. I contacted customer support and spoke with Richard, a manager, hoping for assistance. However, because the unit was just outside the one-year warranty, they refused to help beyond directing me to an online service to purchase a replacement part for over $100. I'm incredibly frustrated that manufacturers can sell subpar products, then profit further by charging customers for repairs on their defective items. We had some issues with our new fence delivery. Ghida was very helpful and went above and beyond to make it right. It wasn't their fault- someone took two panels of our original delivery out of the pile. So we ended up with two mismatched panels. Unfortunately all efforts were made to find matching ones but failed. Ghida comped two panels and wood stain. We were able to find all supplies to complete our fence for much less than wood wire and fence company. Overall great customer service. For this reason I will always give them our business. read more

I went into return something that had clearly been opened and tampered with and returned. It literally had a different product than what I had bought inside. They didn't even apologize. My freezer was supposed to be delivered on Friday. I was told that they would call in the morning with the time. I waited until noon, and, having heard nothing, I called Lowe's. The young lady I first spoke to was very polite, but couldn't find my order. She asked if she could call me back. I agreed. Later, I got a call from the salesman who had processed my order. He said that he couldn't find my receipt and asked for the numbers on my receipt. I gave them to him, but, he, too, couldn't find the order. He said that he needed to speak to a manager to fix the problem, that he'd call later, and hung up. I waited until 3 PM and called to see if the order was finally found. It was. Delivery would be the next day, on Saturday. The delivery men called with the time, and I opened the doors to the basement for them. They arrived not long after. They dropped it where I wanted it, next to a smaller freezer I've had for YEARS, and left! After they left I went to open the freezer door. It was still taped closed. I stepped back and then noticed that they didn't make sure it was level, nor did they plug it in. They left the tape all over it. I pushed it to get it level, as best as I could, then went to plug it in. The plug was taped to the back, which I couldn't reach and it was too short to reach if the tape wasn't cut. And, as a disabled senior, I couldn't move it! Thank God I have a brain that's still working! I got a metal yard stick, a knife , and my gripper for getting things I can't reach. I taped the knife securely to the yard stick, grabbed the cord with the gripper, which I dropped and had to dig out after, held the cord away from the back of the freezer so I didn't accidentally cut it, and used the knife to saw at the tape. It FINALLY cut through and I FINALLY got the cord out. It was too short to reach the plug, but I had a heavy duty extension cord that worked. Then I had to take off all the rest of the tape, and put the shelving in. All of this took me 45 minutes! I'm exhausted! But, it's working! I gave the delivery men a small tip, each. I regret doing that now. I don't believe they earned it. I wanted Lowe's Corporate to know the problems that I've had with their store, hoping that they would take steps to improve their customer care. I found NO way to contact them other than social media, so I took that route to inform them of things that they SHOULD already know! When I checked through Yelp, the highest rating I found for Lowe's, in any location, was 2.5. That's a terrible score for any business, in my opinion. but, considering the way I have been treated with my window last year, and the freezer this year, I can see why the rating IS so low. If I could give -5 stars I would. My wife and I bought a stove earlier this year that was never properly ordered and set for delivery from this Lowe's. That took 3 weeks to correct back in March to April. Then we purchased a new dishwasher for our new house and were charged for items that were not necessary for our install with the mini water hammer and labor cost associated. That didn't get refunded correctly yet. The dishwasher was not scheduled for install t was originally placed as a pick up order. Then when our delivery and install date arrived the order was cancelled due to no installer. My wife and I only found this out since we called to see why we were not called with a time frame for delivery and installation. The store and installed sales gave us a second date 2 days later Friday that week and again no install or delivery. We called and had a date set for Monday the next week and again no install. The dishwasher was purchased on 7/12 and got installed 7/23. The installed dishwasher was identified by the installer as defective with a screw in the water pump. He said it could work fine for years or flood our kitchen! Then we called for a replacement which was "scheduled" for the following week. After 3 more reschedules since this too was set for pick up by us not delivery at the store level the replacement dishwasher arrived on 8/14. It was installed and we though we were on the clear the technician, my wife and I did not hear the same noise we heard the first time with the screw in the water pump. We loaded and ran the dishwasher over night. The following morning my wife noticed the dishes were still dirty. No water was flowing into the dishwasher. We called Lowe's and the install company about this. The installers said we should check our plumbing! Wait....the first dishwasher worked, the new one we bought was defective but had worked?....how does this one require me to check my plumbing?.... 35 days since purchase, 43 calls and countless hours wasted. That's when I called to return everything and get that item out of my house. I went to the Home Depot in Smithfield RI, the staff was more knowledgeable and cared to help customers. I will never spend another penny at Lowe's and will share this horrible experience everywhere. I was going to speak with the office of the president for Lowe's and saw reviews on how poorly they treated people and could not fix things either. I repeat I will no longer spend a penny at Lowe's and will share this the worst experience I have ever had with any company in my life to everyone everywhere. I used to say how much I liked Lowe's. After several bad experiences at Lowe's (in both Attleboro and Plainville), I have committed myself to finding local hardware stores to shop at and support, and get whatever else I need on Amazon if possible. I am convinced that the North Attleboro Lowe's has terrible management, because I can't think of any other reason for their employees to be so consistently oblivious to the markings of good customer service. I've lost track of how many times I needed help and was ignored by staff, and this is all while trying my hardest to shop with an infant and a toddler. (Come on, doesn't a mother wearing an infant and pushing a toddler in the cart really STAND OUT in the middle of the lumber section?!) During a previous visit, I bought paint, which was so remarkably different than the swatch, that I ended up going to Triboro paint for my supplies and colors (they were awesome, btw). Sure, if you just need some supplies and no assistance, you can probably get exactly what you need at this Lowe's and have a smooth experience (but prepare to wait on line at self-checkout). However, I am personally sick and tired of large corporations wanting my business but not providing good customer service or assistance in return. I will now avoid the N. Had a pretty unpleasant experience here today. I ordered my dad a hammock for Father's Day... ordered it online to be picked up in store. When I got to the store, 3 of the 4 employees at the customer service desk were just standing around chatting and only one was actually doing her job. The one who was actually working was super nice and friendly. I wish I remembered her name because she was one of the only pleasant employees I came across in my entire time there, which ended up being just shy of an hour. After waiting in line for about ten minutes for the one poor girl who felt like earning her paycheck to finally help the herd of customers in front of me, I finally made it up to the register myself, and the nice girl helped me and told me my order would be out soon, but it would be a few minutes because it was up high and they had to get it down. Okay fine. THIRTY MINUTES LATER, I finally went back up to the desk and asked how much longer, only to find out they were still looking for someone who could operate the lift! Meanwhile, the other three ladies were still in their little sewing circle behind the desk... in all the time they spent gabbing they could have taken a class to get certified to operate the lift! At least I got to hear all about their summer bucket lists though! After another 20 minutes a strapping younger gentleman brought me my hammock and I was finally free... or so I thought. As I went to the exit, yet another less-than-helpful worker stopped me and asked me to show a receipt, and when I said I did not have one because it was an online order, she actually flat out accused me of stealing the hammock! How she expects me to have been able to do that without operating the lift is beyond me, but she actually then stood in front of me and blocked me from the door until she could call over to the service desk to verify that I did in fact purchase the hammock. I truly was in shock, and also shaking with rage. They definitely SHOULD NOT send you an email saying that your order is ready for pick up if in fact they still need another 58 minutes to get your order ready to be picked up. First and last time I buy a hammock - or anything - from this Lowe's! And it's no wonder why this company is absolutely tanking! This review is to let folks know that Lowe's does have some good stores and even better associates. The store itself is quite organized and easy to navigate. Associates help regardless of their assigned areas. The added benefit of my experience with George and Fernando is further proof that this store puts a lot of effort into customer satisfaction. After my washer/dryer combo died, I was given a Lowe's e-voucher to purchase a replacement by my homeowner's warranty company. I was fortunate to have Associates George and Fernando to help me throughout the whole buying process. They are knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and most of all helpful. This Lowe's location is by far the worst of them all. i've had lots of problems with a 5 gal shop vac from there. I've had to buy and swap out this item multiple times due to a faulty design. Each time, spilling more money out of pocket on replacement plans. This last visit was the final straw. I went in to return the shop vac, from which I bought the one year replacement and was completely in my right to return the item. This is where the fun begins. The staff was completely helpless, rude, incompetent, calling others for assistance to which another complete moron would approach the desk, spew out stupid nonsense. They act like the item doesn't exist and doesn't have an item number (to which I find it online). These idiots will ask you every time you buy something to cough up your hard earned cash to put into a protection plan or extended warranty, and when that times come to swap out that faulty item, they will do absolutely NOTHING to help you. The 5 gal Shop Vac (now Craftsman) is complete garbage with a faulty on/off switch and they will not do anything to help to help replace it. Never mind the wasted time, gas money, stress, aggravation, job site embarrassment, that goes into replacing an item UNDER WARRANTY PROTECTION GUIDELINES. They'll pretend you don't exist and aren't worth a damn if they already got your money. F these jerks and everyone associated with this location and this business. Was looking at flooring for a quick fixer upper and Christina directed us to a better option. There was only a couple cases left so Christina quickly found another employee to get a forklift to get us what we needed. She proceeded to check out our other items so we didn't have to lug it all to the front registers and wait in line. She then wheeled all of our items and the 15 cases of flooring we bought through the store and out front while five other employees stood around and watched. This Lowe's is so bad it's worth driving on to Plainville. Management must be different as the standards the employees exemplify are so starkly different. If I had the opportunity to give this location negative stars I would take it. Cashiers complain about their work on the phone to each other while ignoring you at the register. Managers when presented with evidence of defective materials that were sold for use offer not so much as a "sorry that happened" just angry, miserable and uninterested in maintaining a positive customer relationship. We did it to ourselves, running to big box for the convenience of 30 models of razor knifes rather than supporting our local Hardware store. If Nobel hardware were faced with something they sold that was inoperable; they not only would have said "oh my sorry for the inconvenience". This is a very solid Lowe's. It's clean, pretty well-stocked, and with helpful service. My two complaints are (1) that sometimes they run out of seasonal items really quickly (like plant pots), and that (2) the self-checkout lanes don't always work smoothly and you have to wait around for an employee to come by and "authorize" what you're doing. But those are minor quibbles. This Lowe's will always have my business because of the points I mentioned, and because years ago the manager donated $500 worth of lumber and paint to my Eagle Scout service project (building the picnic benches at the Stony Brook Audubon Sanctuary in Norfolk, MA - which are still there to this day). No idea whether it's still under the same management. But they helped me and the wildlife sanctuary out, and got me as a loyal customer. read more

I told him I would like to give my cell phone number as I would be at work but when I got the call on Wednesday, I could drive home in less than 10 minutes. My 10-2 window passed with no call on my cell phone. I called Lowes and talked to delivery. I said no one called with the window on Tuesday night and she said, oh we don't do that anymore, in which I replied, Oh, since Monday night? I then said what is my new window of delivery. She said they were at my house on Wednesday and called my phone 5 times, I said, what number did they call? she said my cell but it was not a correct number she recited back to me, when I said that is not a correct number, she says oh the picture they sent to me was blurry and she misread the cell phone number. I finally got my delivery today, Friday. The delivery people called me on my home phone not my cell, luckily I work from home today and picked up the call. When they delivered it, they were very nice, I asked to see the paperwork and the only phone number they had on their sheet was my home phone, he said that is the number he called on Wednesday. He also said that Lowes screws up everything all the time. They couldn't have been more polite and helpful. They are a contracted delivery and not a Lowe's employee that delivers. read more

Most incompetent staff ever working in the paint section. One over whelmed person with someone who is new. Super unprofessional, told that I should download the app so i don't have to deal with staff and it will tell me how to find stuff myself. Off to Home Depot!! read more

Lowe's in North Attleboro has let me down and disappointed me on many occasions. Customer service is horrible. No one takes responsibility for errors made. Communication is horrible. Never again!! read more
