I know I'm not the only one. I was surprised to see dog toys and pet food here. AND, clothes. Where have I been? This is my first time seeing these items at Lowe's. Maybe because I normally head straight to the garden section. Ha! Lowe's is slowly becoming one-stop shopping. I often pick up laundry detergent, cleaning solutions, light bulbs, etc here. Came here to pick up some stuff for our home DIY. We came for a specific item l, which was value priced, and were unable to locate it, although they had plenty in stock according to the website. We pushed the "need assistance" button located in the department we were in, and an associate came and well, he just directed us to another area and left... We left empty handed and I was not happy. I can NOT believe these two stars for this Lowe's in Owings Mills. The associates provide above and beyond PHENOMENAL customer care, reminiscent of days gone by. The positive energy starts at the front door, with the management staff and trickles down, It's infectious. These young people work HARD to accommodate and assist customers with finding what they are looking for. You don't have to walk around the store endlessly looking for someone, anyone to help you. Went to Lowe's to order a hot water heater since mine broke. Waited two days for a call from the plumbing company, no word. Third day i called Lowe's and they said i was somehow skipped in line and be brought to the front of the line. Lo and behold the plumbers called me while i was on the phone with Lowe's. Made an appointment for the same day, no arrival or courtesy call despite wasting a whole day at home waiting. Called the plumbers on the 4th day and made another appointment. I am writing this as of AFTER the appointment window with no call back, no update, and I'm still freezing... BLUE DOT are the plumbers, so the blame should be on them as well rather than just Lowe's. I was also initially charged for a consultation/visit but when i spoke to the Blue Dot they said they don't usually charge for that.... You guys stink! Came here as opposed to your competitor Home Depot because your service is generally better and more knowledgeable. Well, you proved me wrong! I was just coming to buy a specific type of light bulb, nothing fancy, but not necessarily a mainstream bulb. At Virginia Lowe's stores that I visit somewhat regularly, the customer service people care and want to help you find what you are looking for. Obviously not this Lowe's. They could care less and barely make an effort when you ask for assistance. I now see why this store's parking lot was so empty. When you ask someone for help, they turn and walk the other way or never show up when paged from the main register to help in a specific aisle where a customer needs assistance. I thought Lowe's was supposed to be the Target of home improvement items. Turns out this location is the Walmart of home improvement. And I mean that in the worse way possible. Picking up an online order turned into me cussing out four different associates (including a manager). *Tyra Banks on ANTM voice* I have never had to raise my voice at customer service like that. 30+ minutes to bring out my item, item was damaged, another 30+ minutes to return and nasty attitudes to go along with it. Boy Ol boy - I really try and practice patience but the facts are the facts. I don't know why I don't learn from prior experiences but IT won't happen for a THIRD time- trust. IT being unorganized customer care. I ordered a washing machine online (telephone) and only some of the instructions were followed. Main instruction not followed? The fact that I wanted a haul away?!? SMH so as a result, I have to sit around for a second day to wait for someone to pick up the old washer. Ok next, I get a call the day before delivery - they wanted me to know I wasn't getting the washing machine. Huh? "The store doesn't have my washing machine in the store and my order has been cancelled" Huh? Phone call gets disconnected... Later, same day, I get a call stating delivery times for my washing machine...Huh? I call the store and they confirm that I will be getting my washer the next day between said hours. I'm not convinced so I physically go to the store. Confirmed- delivery WILL happen. Where is the disconnect? I don't know, store people don't know...No one knows. What I do know is my expectations for customer service is way higher than what Lowe's can or has offered. PROVEN!. Basically I've been left with - it is what it is. I ordered a dishwasher in May. It was supposed to be delivered in July. On the day before the delivery, I got the customary notification of delivery call and email (I confirmed). I waited and waited. The delivery window closed. I called and was basically told the delivery isn't happening and that I had to call the store. I called the store and was basically told "it's not coming". The 'customer service rep' told me that I could cancel the order, purchase one from the store (which I intentionally did NOT do in May) or cancel the order. I have never been treated so poorly I spoke with the manager and she confirmed all of the aforementioned. However, the manager did it in a MUCH more professional manner. I explained the calls I got the night before and that I disconnected the existing dishwasher to be hauled away. She pretty much told me that the calls are a courtesy and the calls happen regardless of the delivery status. I was stuck having to re-install the old dishwasher and then had to in-install it again. This time I waited for the delivery truck to show up. The delivery folks were "wham bam thank you ma'am". By the time the took the old dishwasher and I grabbed a water, they were pulling off. I never even had the chance to confirm if they dropped off the correct item. I didn't sign for or inspect the new item. This ENTIRE experience was a nightmare!!! read more

I went to the store to purchase a deep freezer and luckily the sales associates stumbled upon one. She made an error in quoting me a price and needed the Manager (Tracey) to make the adjustment. He informed her that the one she stumbled upon was sold on line. The sales associate was checking for this sale and it was no where in the system as being sold. Yes I locked over her back while she was looking for this "on line sale". I went to speak with Tracey and asked him for a contact name a number of the owner of this particular Lowe's. I was hopeful that the product would arrive and after paying for installation on the day of delivery, I would be able to use my stove. Instead, I was given a major run around by this company. The first thing they did was deliver my stove and remove the broken one, a service offered for an additional fee of course. Then they refused to install on the day of delivery claiming I would have to pay for the fee in person. Why? I order online! What if I was handicapped, and unable to drive to the store? Nothing. I can't complain about their inventory because I only go to Lowes when what I'm looking for is online and the aisle and bay information is displayed before I go into the store; however I must say self checkout is a blessing and a curse. The sales/customer service people are watching you so hard its uncomfortable. Instead of having 5 customer service people standing by self checkout watching the customer put someone on the register so the customer would have a choice. If you know what you need and don't need to make an exchange, return, or make any interaction with the staff, then this store works. Very poor customer service for delivery from Owings Mills location. Received a 4 hour window of 8am -12pm. Drivers called at 7:30am while I was in the shower and never answered a return call. Called the store 4x before 12pm started at 7:45am when I realized I had a missed call. The customer service rep Kizzy told me there was no way for them to call the Drivers and hung up on me intentionally. I called back and got her again and said I was hung up on and was given no apology and continued poor sevice. I had to physically drive to the store after the delivery didn't arrive to get some type of resolution for a purchase over $800. I will never recommend an appliance purchase or delivery from Lowes and will continue to tell people about my experience. read more

She doesn't give you an answer just to give you an answer; instead, she actually THINKS and gives you thorough, useful advice. And--shocker--she actually cares about her customers and her work. I'm renovating a house, and halfway through she has already saved me tons of money and made my work more efficient. I went in one day for something when she wasn't there, and THREE people couldn't find a product in the Lowe's system. Went back when Sharon was in, and she found it in 30 seconds. Customer service was piss poor in multiple ways. The most disappointing however was at the paint counter. The associate helped the person in front of us for several minutes- we waited patiently. The associate then then called the customer to the other side of the counter and finished helping her there. At that point, someone else approached the other side of the counter and once she was finished with the first customer, she began helping the other person. I let it go on for a minute or 2 in case the other person wanted something fast, when I realized it wasn't a quick question. I let her know that we were waiting behind the first lady where the original line was. I was extremely polite but Instead of apologizing for missing us (like the customer she was helping did and like any badic customer service day 1 training tells you) the rude associate immediately got defensive and said she was just giving the other customer advice, and that she was not even done mixing the previous person's order and proceeded to turn her back and still help the other customer. We left and will conduct our business elsewhere. Retraining is needed asap in this store, especially for the female worker who worked at the paint counter today. read more

called yesterday afternoon to discuss questions i had about getting an estimate for installation of doors plus any promotional 0% interest financing. spoke to mill works contact. he could not help me and said he'd have another associate call me back. that did not happen. poor follow-up and poor customer service. i wanted to speak with the store manager today, but he was not there, so i spoke with another manager. what a waste of time. i explained what happened ... received no apology until i raised the point that i should have had one when i brought up the issue ... this store does not hire customer-oriented people! time to head to home depot one more time. read more

Lowe's Owings Mills, is for the birds. The Service is somewhat disturbing. I ordered a Storm Door, I paid for measurements, and when I went to order the door of my preference, the Salesman/Coordinator that so called help me, was absolutely terrible. He ordered the door, with the wrong measurements. It took about a month, for the door to arrive, then I was told, it would take another month for a replacement door to come in, & then I'd have to wait until the Installation Team could schedule me. So, from 5/31/20 which is on or about I started this process, I might would have had my door by 9/1/2020. The Store is very much understaffed. If you decide to go there, plan not to be in a hurry. Oh, & don't think you'll get someone to answer the phone, it rings, rings & rings. NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE. But I've concluded, with most Consumer Service establishments, things just aren't the same. I don't care if you're old or young, decent Service is a thing of the past, especially, when there is not much competition. I also bought the big $42 bottle of Roundup weed and grass killer only to find that it was previously opened and filled with water. I have been attempting to purchase and have installed a Lowe's Aqua Source toilet since May 31st. Today is August 3rd and still don't have the toilet. The Owings mills store kept switching the Aqua Source to a Product Source, which the installer would not accept. Canceled it after a month of trying and attempted to buy it at the Timonium store. The Timonium store had the installer wait 45 minutes and could not find the toilet. Lowe's installation promised installation this am, but neglected to put me on their schedule. I have once again rescheduled, but probably still won't get it. I have ordered appliances from other departments with no problem. Beware of plumbing! I would give them negative stars if it were possible. read more

Use to buy from Home Depot then I started purchasing from Lowe's because of the better quality, customer service, and inventory. Until now... Received the Metabo C10RJS table saw ($569) as a gift (brand new and unopened). Wanted to exchange it for the Delta 36-725T2 table saw ($599) but didn't have the receipt. Took it to Lowe's to do an exchange and I would pay the difference. The return associate would not take my return and stated I needed a receipt or proof of purchase. I explained that it was a gift and I just wanted stored credit so I could upgrade to the Delta and I would pay the difference. She still refused and then stated for power tools you need a receipt and only have 30 days to return. Lowe's return policy say no receipt you get a store credit. I don't want to be rude and tell the person I don't want your gift I want the better one. Guess I'll just keep this saw and go back to no hassle Home Depot. read more
