    I recently purchased a washer and dryer. The units were installed in my bathroom where the set up was just created by a plumber. The delivery/installation team removed the mechanical vent from the vent pipe and hooked the washing machine into that pipe - leaving the ready and open pipe just sitting there. I have been living with a bathroom odor since 1/22/22 when they installed it - and today while folding laundry - I discovered the pipe and sent a photo to my plumber who advised me what was wrong. Both he and I are horrified at the level of incompetence that was required for someone to make this mistake with a washing machine installation. I have sewer gasses in my house. This is a serious health hazard and left unattended to, could even be fatal! This is so unacceptable, I am beyond angry. I will be posting this story on every website I can find. When I contacted Lowe's, I was advised that they would send someone from the delivery company to fix the problem. There was a little empathy from the manager - but when I spoke with HIS manager - I did not even get an apology. Lowe's clearly does not care about their customers or I would have received much more in the way of assurances and compensation. I would like to be assured that more training will be given to installers. Perhaps they need a different installation company. Finally, this team of people that did the installation should no longer work for the company. I will endeavor to find more people higher up at Lowes to tell also.

    They have a lot of stuff but don't try to special order anything. They will ruin your order and have no clue how to fix it.

    The store and it's Manager stand behind their products unfortunately their delivery system that they use can be unreliable (XPO inc.)

I was fortunate to "be chosen" by Chris from among the many staff members in the department on my first visit. I had little plumbing knowledge, therefore I required assistance choosing a sink faucet. He asked how my day was doing and that he would be more than pleased to answer any questions I had as he took me to the kitchen faucet section. Throughout my stay with him, he provided me with exceptional service in terms of item selection and pros and cons. Chris, in my opinion, provided exceptional customer service by taking the time to comprehend my problems and treating me as a person in need of guidance and support rather than just as a "paying customer." I was immediately put at ease by Chris's kind demeanor and his ability to clearly explain the advantages and disadvantages. I can't say enough good things about Chris. I also want to express my gratitude to the entire Home Depot team for their kind disposition, consideration, and cooperation, all of which added to the enjoyable experience.

    I am very disappointed in my recent experience at the Bristol, CT Home Depot. A number of years…read moreback, I purchased a pendant lamp for my kitchen. It was the kind that hangs on the cord. It had a lovely green glass globe. I put three of them together to make a rather attractive lighthing fixture. I want to do the same thing in another part of my kitchen. Unfortunately, the globe has been discontinued. However, the Bristol store had one on display, but, of course, none in stock. If one more store has a display unit, I will have all three. So, off to Bristol I went. I found a sales person and asked about buying the display unit. He knows it was discontinued, but told me that he "can't sell it to me." I asked what will become of it and he told me that when a new shipment comes in, they will ship that discontinued display unit back to its source. It is truly unfortunate that Home Depot is more concerned with process than its customers. Over the past 20 years, I have literally spent tens of thousands of dollars at Home Depot, but that counts for nothing. If they don't want to be inconvenienced to sell a display unit, and instead choose not to make a profit on a sale, it is clear that their interest in their customers as people with real needs does not exist. I am persistent, so I will take this up with the district manager, who will probably decide that it is easier to take my money than to find out how far up the Home Depot complaint chain I am willing to take this. (Hint: I am persistent...) But in the meantime, I just wasted an hour and a half of my time and a 15 mile round trip only to be told that Home Depot does not want to take my money to buy a product that they actually have right there in the store.
