Terrible customer service. First time I've ever experienced such rude employees at a Lowe's. Went to get a 4x8 piece of insulated foam board. First thing, cold shoulder from two young men with better things to do besides stand there when I asked for assistance. Used my phone to find the aisle. Since it was larger piece of foam board and I'm in a small car, I asked an older employee if he could simply score the board so I could cleanly break it to put it in the car. Nope, can't do it. Can't use your utility knife to score styrofoam. Nope. Apparently he suddenly gets busy and passes me to another guy. That guy grudgingly goes with me to the aisle but stops to help a couple and he's gone. I bought it and had to fold it to fit. Needless to say, not going back there again. read more

This location seems to have turned around from its extremely poor customer service history! I am a senior, and was attempting to get a few 2x12x12 boards down for a project. An Asian employee, older gentleman, came to help me without being asked! Amazing! I was able to get them cut right away too, and at checkout the young lady was far far more personable than the witch I've had to tolerate before ( hopefully she had been let go). Long story short, a very pleasant experience at three different customer contact points (getting heavy lumber down, getting it cut properly, and a very pleasant checkout). I just went to Lowe's this Friday and Saturday for some appliances and the store rep Helvecia and Jordan were outstanding! They took the time and effort and showing and comparing the different appliances that I needed for my property and even went and took the time to see which way would be better for my budget and trying to get the most bang for my buck. I even had other associates go out of their way to make sure that I was taken care off! This will keep me coming back to Lowe's instead of the competitor's. Giving this Lowe's four start instead of five because always feels like it takes so long to find someone to actually help you when having questions about an item. Out of the handful of times we've came to this location we have encountered helpful workers. Today one definitely stood out. We were in the aisle of deadbolts and had a question regarding key less entry's etc. and we asked a worker passing by for help. Glen was beyond helpful and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and helped us pick the right one for us. I loved his amazing customer service. Wish there were more helpful people like him working at locations. Update on patio door. Apparently the premiere service company in Portland finally got the permit. Again I had to call to push Lowe's to get this project done and poof a permit appears. I had gone in to talk to someone about buying a garbage disposal and I was interested in having someone install it. They explained that they would come out for $45 and then that would come off of the installation price. They never told me about how much installat was. When I went back into the store to set up the appointment, the gal asked me if they told me how much installation was. No they did not! When I found out that it was going to be $285 to install a $140 garbage disposal, I told them to forget it. Two years ago, a friend of mine had you install it around $150.. If I would have been told how much installation was, I never had wasted the $45. I feel taken advantage of! I should have been told how much the installation was up front! read more

Long time customer deleting MVP account. I Purchased a Kobalt brand pipe cutter from them, broke on the second use. I assume its just the Kobalt brand thats poor and I will pay the difference for a quality item. When I went to Puyallup customer service they just refused to take it back. I am still astonished. They know its garbage so have fine print at customer service to justify theft. After years of patronage I cannot again give them my hard earned cash if they laugh in my face it. The store itself is fine. However, DO NOT have anything delivered by them. Pick it up yourself and if you need installation or haul-way, do it yourself or hire someone trustworthy. My experience: 1. Delivery of washer/dryer: two guys dropped off the units and drove away without installing, even though I had paid for installation. 2. Called Lowe's, and they sent over two other guys to install the washer/dryer, who did an incomplete job installing and then stole my AirPods on the way out. I called Lowe's and they are supposed to be investigating the theft, but I have heard nothing. 3. I bought extra power cords and they were not delivered. Now I have to go back to get a refund. I wrote a glowing repot for Steve. That was before the nightmare. No delivery in June. No delivery in July of refrigerator. Living 2 months without stove or refrigerator. Countless hours and miles to nail down a delivery. No installation promised by Steve. Took hours to get returns at the end of July. Two times I went in just to talk to Steve and he brushed me off. It took an hour and a half to get returns. I paid over $1,400 on my Lowes card. I was informed that this was my Robles to get money back. Also, this is really bad. They could not close the protection plan $269. So I contacted Assurance on the plan via email. They won't cancel the plan on the phone. Best Buy ordered and delivered both appliances in one week. Looks bad when employees seems unconcerned about the impression they make. Press button to get help and it is often ignored (white noise I guess). Don't order carpet from here. Their installers (probably from the lowest bid) accept the job based on their inspection of the location and then refuse to do the work. I have been waiting two weeks for installation having paid the full amount and still no carpet installation. You may pay more other places but you will at least get your carpet installed. read more

we recently did a purchase and install of carpet, laminate and baseboards. The whole experience has been a nightmare. Lowes contracts work out to Premier Services to do installs. Nothing went right, from scheduling to installing. The install of the baseboards look like they were done by amateur's. They cut pieces short then filled with bit's of left over baseboard, put joints in a wall that didn't need to to have joints, cut the top stair and left a hole in the wall. Complained to Brandt the store manager and Premier, sent pictures of damage, called corporate/customer service, spoke with flooring supervisors, store staff and no one wants to fix the problem. Don't make the mistake I made. Don't do business with Lowes! Looks like legal action is the next option! read more

I am so unhappy with customer service (non-existent). I had to order a skylight online for delivery to my local store, ordered on June 19 for store delivery July 5. So far no skylight and nobody knows when it will get here. Meanwhile I woke up to a text from my card company flagging the transaction as possible fraud. Why was this not charged before now? Kind of seems like my skylight was never really shipped. I responded to an email from Lowe's regarding updating my payment. I decided to this time bill to my debit and now I have two charges of $356 for the one skylight. It seems the store can't deal with online orders customer assistance. So disappointing and now my roof completion is postponed yet again. read more

Instead of using one of their "all-in-one-box" systems, the Rev Pull-Out Cabinet, I wanted FULL size garbage and recycling cans (we took out our lazy suzan in the corner cabinet so there was plenty of room). I bought the garbage and recycling cans on Amazon for much cheaper than at Home Depot, and the handle at Home Depot. *John helped me with my project. As I didn't want to use the smaller size cans provided in the Rev systems, he brainstormed and walked all around the store with me to get the needed supplies. He was creative and intelligent about how he would make this work, and voila! - my garbage is hidden and it looks amazing!! Go to Lowe's for any project. Went to Lowes to purchase a riding lawnmower. Found one, took 20 minutes to figure out if there was one in the back or if we had to buy the floor model. Paid for it, took another 20 minutes to get help to load it. The owners manual had to be printed off, so theres another 15 minutes. Drive home, and realize that they didn't give us the key to it! Call Lowes and sat on hold for 20 minutes, to be told they couldn't find the key, but had a general key that would work! In closing. WORST STORE EVER!! My mom just left this place after being ran into by an employee moving a carpet roll. He apologized several times, but seriously you should have proper protocol on moving big items when people are shopping. When she approached the cashier to check out she mentioned it to her and the woman said ahhhh do you need any help finding anything?!!!! Serious! VETERANS BEWARE: Lowe's offers a 10% veterans discount, which normally, I appreciate. Today, I went in a purchased a 40lb bag of Lilly Miller Moss Killer for their "everyday low price" of $25.48. When I checked out the final bill it was $27.70. Usually, with a 10% discount, the discount basically zeros out the sales tax. So when the final amount went up $2, I stopped to investigate. Sometimes, when an item is on sale or a basic staple (nails, 2x4's, plywood etc. items where the price is so low no one competes) there is no discount offered. I understand this and I accept it for what it is, plus it has been like that forever so I am well versed in the logic. But this weirdness was different. My receipt began by increasing the retail price of the product by $2.50 and then rewarding my service by discounting $2.80 off the new inflated price for a whopping $0.30 savings. Normally, I would have walked out the door with a smile grateful for a $0.30 discount but handing me a receipt that vainly illustrated how Lowes's achieved this ridiculousness intrigued me. In the end, after I spent 20 minutes in the Customer Service line with two clerks who unconvincingly tried to blind to a valid reason only the computer knew, Lowe's made it right. I would rate this location zero stars if given the option. My husband and I are fairly new to the Puyallup community. I am a healthcare worker and he is a hardworking finishing carpenter. This afternoon we visited this store for a few tools needed for our home projects and some fire place cleaner. After searching around and eventually asking for some assistance from an associate, my husband found what he was looking for. In the midst of the search my husband noticed a gentleman following him around the front half of the store possibly pretending to be on the phone. As we proceeded to another section of the store my husband tells me, "see if you're getting these same feelings. I swear this guy is following us around." I too noticed that he kept popping up in different areas that we were in. Now here's where it gets comical! My husband heads out to the garden area and I broke off from him to get a shopping cart. As im walking back in to the store, I see a woman on her cell phone literally SPRINTING toward the garden area. At this moment im wondering what the heck is going on. Did something happen in the store?! I kid you not, this female dips toward the plants that were just inside the garden area and is trying to hide herself like some untrained spy kid. This is when I realize, ok she's watching us too. I meet my husband out in the garden area and low and behold, here comes the guy that initially was following us...still on the phone. At this point I'm pissed. A-these are some creeps that are trying to rob us or B-these are plain clothes security officers. Eventually we head back inside the store to an aisle right inside the garden area doors. AND AGAIN LIKE AN UNTRAINED SPY KID, the guy from earlier walks in right after us looks stunned that we are standing there and we hear him tell whoever he is on the phone with, "I thought you said they were in aisle one?!" This is when I decide to confront him and of course, he plays stupid and tells me, "huh?" And walks away. My husband and I head to checkout and at this point I have a feeling these aren't just some creepers. As we are waiting in line for checkout, the female who went running after my husband earlier, speed walks her way into the employee office at the store front. BINGO, gut feeling on point...these were plain clothes security officers. Now I'm extra pissed, ok so we were just profiled and discriminated against. I track down a manager and bring my concerns up to her and soon after we start chatting a security officer (with identifiable uniform) joins in on the conversation. Of course no apologies were offered and you should've seen their faces when I told them that the female who had been following us walked right in to their employee office. Yeah, caught red handed. My husband and I are both brown skin Polynesians, we have traditional familial Polynesian tattoos and were dressed in winter clothes... like everyone else in the store. I did not have a bag or purse, for crying out loud we asked two store associates for help! So for whatever reason these dimwits decided to make our trip to Lowe's so freakin uncomfortable, we will no longer shop here. I have never felt more disturbed here in Puyallup as I did today at this Lowe's. Whoever put these two idiots in charge of catching criminals should replace them with people who are more proficient at their jobs. I hope no one else ever has to feel like how felt today. I find it more and more frustrating when I have to go out of my way to ask for assistance when multiple store employees walk by me and can obviously see that I'm having troubles looking for something. Then to top it if you catch one and ask your question they typically don't understand what you are explaining and send you to the wrong area of the store. Then at the checkout area they onky have one lane open and the person at the self checkout is yelling there are open machines, guess what, I don't want to checkout with a machine that won't register that I bagged the item and then hold me up. Prices aren't getting better and they keep cutting knowledgeable staff. read more

I ordered a product which was promised for the 2nd. No call or notice from Lowe's Tried to reach someone a Puyallup over succeeding days. Mostly, no answer. Five days later I spoke with a Lowe's attendant who said it was due to be deliverd that day or possibly the next. Two days later, no one answering the phone again over several hours. So most of the time I end up going to McLendons or Home Depote on Mountain HWY. What happened to Customer Service? I called the store to check on the status of an online order I placed 2 days ago. All "in stock" supplies and should have been ready for pick up yesterday, but online says it is still "in process". I understand Covid is delaying things, but it shouldn't have taken this long. When I called the number, the new automated system understood I wanted to speak to Customer Service and said it was transferring me and then it hung up on me. Tried with a different phone and the same thing. Called the pro desk and someone answered and tried transferring me direct to customer service and it just rang 25 times without answer. This is completely frustrating and ridiculous. I will need to go to the store and talk to someone in person to find out the status of an order. I hope I find someone to help! read more

I found a dishwasher I liked online. Lowe's web site said one was in the Puyallup store. I wanted to see it before I bought it so I drove to Puyallup Lowe's. Lazy and rude customer service. The two guys working in appliances told me; yes, they have the dishwasher I saw online but it would be "a lot of trouble to find in back". I told them I'd wait. It's difficult to find a Lowe's employee to provide assistance in this store. The employees are generally friendly when you do find someone to help. I'm giving the one star rating because I purchased a dishwasher that had been recently repaired and bought off as functioning. I went through the hassle of bringing the appliance home and installing it, but the exact same failure occured as was noted on the original return label. I don't believe these products are thoroughly inspected even though they are advertised as such. Double the hassle now that I have to drive back to the store and return the item. read more

After waiting 15 minutes for them to locate my item they came back and told me it was on the top bay and would be another 20 minutes before they could get to it. Last year I went into Lowes to purchase a Kenmore weed eater. Sales person talked me into a Husqvarna for 3x the price. Touting it is the best on the market. Industrial strength. Great customer service if there ever is a problem. Blah blah and turns out total BS. I purchased for using in a home setting - no where near industrial work. Purchased last summer. Used about 10x. The thing no longer works. Lowes charges $130 just to send to Husqvarna repair as the starting price, diagnostic only. Lowes directed me the Husqvarna 800 number directly to save money. That phone is not managed. Husqvarna number sends customer to the chat. Chat direct me to disassemble myself to conduct repairs and cleaning. Per Husqvarna if I don't have repair experience they directed me to local repair shops at customers expense. What a waste of money!!! Don't buy Husqvarna from Lowes or anyone unless you like throwing out money. Very expensive piece of garbage. Plus I bought the large jug of specialized gas, not cheap, that I now need to dispose of. Plus I purchased extra string, never opened. Additionally I purchased shoulder strap, never opened. Lowes talked me into multiple extras because this brand was supposed to be so long lasting. I was a total sucker for the sales pitch. I am so angry at both Lowes in Puyallup and Husqvarna. read more

We come here often. There was a period of time where we were stopping in multiple times a week. Now we venture out to the Fircrest Lowe's because they have a better orchid selection. First and foremost, the staff here is super friendly and kind. We usually bring our dogs in and my youngest loves the people here. He'll see his favorites and he'll get excited. We've been to a few different locations but this one is by far the friendliest with my dogs. I appreciate this so much and it's the main reason we come here vs Home Depot. It's also easy enough to get help when you need it yourself as well. My only gripe is that their pick up in store option for online orders is not good... I did it twice and the first time was a disaster. My order was pulled and sold to someone else leaving nothing left when I went in to pick it up. The second time my order wasn't ready when I dropped by to pick it up some hours after I placed the order. Instead of waiting, I just grabbed it myself. To be fair though, Lowe's has a terrible website anyway. It's easier just to go in and grab what you need. read more

Went there to get some 2x10x8 they only had one that was semi strait. Tried asking man bun wearing, I'm sure he's employee of the month especially since he would rather text on his phone then spot the forklift driver and actually work. he looked at me I said excuse me and ignored me. ( I'm sure they have cameras in this area for safety reasons hahaha so they can confirm this) They were moving slings if lumber around in the isle I was in. When they finished I tried walking towards them to ask if they could move a sling of them that was in the shelf directly above the empty slot. Both man bun boy and the forklift operator promptly walked as fast as they could away from me and down the adjacent isle so they wouldn't have to hear me ask them to actually do there stressful and physical job. So I decided to call the store to ask for help..... now that was an even bigger joke. Appetntly it's bad of me to not know what isle I'm in since I've only been to this Lowe's a couple of times and they have always fucked me over. First fuckover I received was buying a licoln 180 mig welder. I got it home and it had a used Home Depot welder inside of it. I was able to return it but I only got my cash back they wouldn't give me a replacement.... I lost money on that because I used a gift card and a one time promotional coupon.....they said oh well we made a mistake fuck you. Wish I would have stayed away. saying "the big isle full of lumber it's hard to find since there is only one...... I'm very thankful Home Depot is across the street I'm actually sitting in there restroom blowing it up and writing this review and everything I needed is loaded up and ready to go.
