Tori is professional, personable and has customer service skills that are be above and beyond. The special order was made and with Tori's expertise, saved me a considerable amount of money. The replacement slider door window was received much sooner than expected. I've got a story. One day, I was vacuuming and I accidentally sucked up a small article of clothing up the handheld hose. Don't ask me why there was clothing on the floor. There just was. My two dogs had for some reason chewed up the vacuum cord 3 times over the last 6 months. Why the sudden obsession with the vacuum cord, I don't know. But having already replaced the vacuum twice and gotten it fixed once, I was NOT going to get another vacuum! I was determined to remove the object from the hose. Based on YouTube videos, the best bet was to take the hose apart. Unfortunately, I did not have the right drill bit to take the hose apart. 9pm at night, I decided to take the hose with me to Home Depot and try to find the correct drill bit. So I'm at the drill bit aisle at Home Depot and this sweet, younger sales associate asks if I need help. I told her I cannot find the drill bit that I need for this hose. She has me follow her to another aisle and we keep looking with no success. She asks me what I'm trying to do. I say sheepishly, "something is stuck in this hose and I just need to take it apart to remove it." I told her, alternatively I think we can just pry this part off, if someone could find me a chisel or something similar that might work. She calls over a coworker, who was a teenage boy way too young and without the knowledge to be working at a Home Depot. He says, "yeah sorry idk... what's in there?" I say, "umm...a sock." I knew it wasn't a sock but I wasn't going to tell this teenage boy what it really was. So LAST option- I ask the sweet sales associate if maybe I could find a long and skinny apparatus to push the article of clothing through to the other end of the hose. She says that someone from plumbing should be able to help. This old man in his 60s-70s came over and I told him what was going on. Meanwhile sweet sales associate finds the correct drill bit. She says I can even open up the package and just use it in store. But old man sales associate tells me to follow him. So I follow him down an aisle but suddenly he gets called by another coworker. He tells me to wait. While I wait, I'm sitting on the ground with sweet sales associate trying to take apart the hose. It was completely unsuccessful but I at least was able to teach the sweet sales associate "righty tighty lefty loosey". Old man sales associate comes back and asks if we got it. "Nope", I say. He says, "come on, follow me." Old man sales associate leads us down an aisle and pulls a drain snake off the shelf. I ask him, "is that a drain snake?" and he answers, "yes" as he shoves the end into the vacuum hose. He winds and winds and winds, pulls the drain snake out, and at the end of it is a pair of panties twisted around the tip. I say, "whelp, that's my underwear!" The three of us are laughing and laughing just hysterically as I tried to unwind my underwear from the drain snake as quickly as possible and shove it into my pocket. Did I ever think I'd be standing in the middle of an aisle in Home Depot with two strangers and my underwear hanging off the end of a drain snake??? Nope. I'm not too sure about relevant knowledge Home Depot employees have these days, but customer service was 10/10 that night. read more

They lie and said they called my Contractor and when my Contractor tried to e-mail them a bid they flagged it. I think Home Depot,s job is to deny as many claims as they can. 9/15/19 My daughter, Kaylah & I stopped in this evening after checking out Lowe's. We compared some washers and dryers and we found the one that suits our needs. Rosalynn-Manager assisted us & provided us with great details & the difference between the GE brand & Maytag. Daughter decided & purchased the Maytag #1001193804 washer/dryer combo for a great deal. She also purchased the 2yrs extended warranty ($90each) & paid $40 to have our current washer and dryer taken away($20 per appliance). The entire transaction from beginning to end was within 15mins. Oh and there is no charge for delivery and installation. What an awesome deal! FYI - Hose & attachments are not inclusive. Cost is approximately, $50. We learned this was a better deal than what Lowe's or Costco had to offer. We are happy with our purchase! read more

This store sells Ryobi tools that come with warranty but when they break they give you a run around and eventually after several times of trying to turn the item in for repair they finally take it but tell you that you will have to wait 2 months to get the item looked at. This is the worst warranty out there so not buy any Homedepot/Ryobi tools. read more

The front exit door was still locked after we checked out. (20 minutes after they opened for the day.) The employees are always rude. They act like helping people find something, or get something out that's not on display is a big inconvenience. I get that they might all hate their jobs, but they choose to be there, so act like you want the job instead of making the business look bad. The only reason we still occasionally go here, is because we don't want to drive all the way to Bonney Lake for one little part. (They have awesome customer service by the way!) read more

My online order for fence materials was sent to this store. Out of 7 items, 6 were delivered. On the delivery invoice, all 7 items were listed. The driver and I noted the missing items when I signed for delivery. Later, I called the store and found out the fence posts were out of stock. That should have been noted at the store. They could not tell me when they would have the posts but promised to call me back that same day when they found another store with fence posts and a delivery time. Both times when I called the store, they promised to call back and did not. Two days later, I went to another lumber store for the fence posts. I called the same Home Depot store to tell them to cancel the fence order after I saw that they still had charged my credit card account for the missing posts. The manager I spoke to claimed to have credited my account but 3 days later, I received no email and no credit has been made. In summary, the picker didn't load the posts or note the missing item on the delivery invoice, two customer service employees failed to follow through or return calls, and a manager didn't credit my account for the undelivered item. All this nuisance as well as at least 50 minutes spent on hold waiting for "help"! read more

Went to pick up an order and I was third in line. Waited for 20 minutes without any of us being helped. Meanwhile one is on the phone, another looks stressed and is helping no one. The third person was a kid who just looked lost. I cancelled my order while in line and walked out. It was a 40lb item, so now I'm thinking I need to order it every few days, let them haul it to the front of the store, and then cancel it. Usually a decent to good experience in this store. NOT this week! Did management take away their vacations or something? Everyone is running around stressed, short-tempered and rude! I witnessed the guy in the paint department today lying to a customer on the phone and very rudely telling her he didn't have time to answer her questions because he had nine customers waiting and he hung up on her. The one lady waiting said "I didn't realize you were that busy" and he replied "we're not, I just didn't want to talk to her." The guy I went up to for help snapped at me very rudely that he was helping someone else and I would have to wait my turn. Just angry and rude, way out of proportion to the situation. On a good note, the manager gave me a discount when I mentioned how unpleasant the employees had been but if it stays like this, I'm going back to Lowe's. read more

I have to share my experience today at the Tacoma store which relates to the Puyallup home depot. I went to return/warranty a Milwaukee 1/4 in impact and I went to the return counter at 8:50 pm July 13 2024. I'm writing the time and date I did since I did not get both of the ladies' name that were at the counter. The first older white woman who attended me at the counter looked puzzled when I asked if I can warranty the impact and she did clearly say that this was a first time doing a warranty process. She asked the other lady who looked like from hispanic ethnicity for help and she asked me if I bought the product with the home depot credit card and to that I said yes. I had the receipt on my phone but they refused to do the exchange for me even though I had proof of purchase and insisted on me to do it through the all state protection plan which I had. So I left the store and decided to drive to the Puyallup home depot (where I had bought the impact from) and an extremely nice lady by the name of Sharyn helped me and like no joke in 5 minutes I had my new drill and on was on my way out :). I almost always usually go to the Tacoma location for my purchases but service today was bad for me. I know they could do better next time but today I have to give my props to the Puyallup location and their wonderful employee Sharyn outshined the Tacoma location. read more

I usually am one to show grace when it comes to customer service as I have worked in so many customer service roles, but I genuinely have NEVER had a worse experience as a customer than I had today w/ this location. I genuinely just hope this review reaches their management team so they can make necessary changes. I placed an online order for pickup @ the Puyallup location around 2:00pm today (5/25) for 6 small items. I received an email that I placed my order, & I waited a couple hours to check on the status of the order & it still said Processing. I waited another hour & then around 5:15 I decided to call the customer service line to make sure the order was even received & see if maybe the online status was inaccurate. I received an unfriendly representative who first said "oh it should have been picked up at 4:10", I mentioned I had not received any notification that my order was ready for pickup & asked to confirm it was indeed available for me to come pick up. She said she would check & that she was going to put me on a BRIEF hold...... I waited 45 minutes on hold for her to either direct me to someone who could help me or to answer the phone & give me some sort of status update..... eventually I hung up & called back in. Of course the phone would ring for minutes on end w/ no response so I hung up and kept calling. After the phone rang what seemed like a couple minutes at least I reached another representative who seemed aggravated at my question & said I had to wait as she was assisting a guest, I said that is okay & she put me on hold again. Another 5+ minutes go by & a male answers the phone, so I AGAIN went over that I've been on hold for over an hour by that point & was trying to get an update on my order before I drove all the way to Puyallup, as the initial woman I spoke to mentioned my order was supposed to be ready but I never got confirmation. He then proceeds to say he will look into it & give me a call back, when I reiterated I was on hold for a very long time already & asked when I should expect a call back he said in about 15 minutes. The gentleman gave me a call back & proceeded to be incredibly condescending to me on the phone, making comments like "so was that under 15 minutes?"... I brushed it aside & then he said "so what can I help you with?" Like I had already mentioned to this man what I needed an answer for..... so I had to remind him again & was very discouraged as he mentioned prior to hanging up that he was going to be looking into my order status prior to calling me back.... He said they are very short handed today & my order isn't ready yet. So I point blank just asked "Will my order be ready for pick up today or not?" It was already after 6:30, I have dinner to make yet, things to do for work tomorrow I don't have the time to sit here & just wait for it to MAYBE be ready today. He said it'll be ready tomorrow. I then asked how long I will have to pick up my order & he said "Kiddo, I will tell them to hold it a month for you" so I mentioned to him that it is very disrespectful to use condescending words towards a customer like that, especially when I have been sitting on hold for so long trying to get answers from 3 different people, it doesn't leave a good impression. I understand being short staffed, that's the world we are living in now unfortunately, however what I do not & will not condone is just a poor lack of customer service. The customers are the bread & butter to businesses & I'm sorry, but if I knew someone who needed a job or even if I myself was in need of a job, I sure as heck wouldn't promote that location due to the way they treat their customers. My request wasn't crazy, all I wanted was to know the status of my order & whether or not I would be able to pick it up today. & before I hear about how I could have just gone & shopped for my items in person - yes I could have & probably will the next time. But don't forget there's other reasons people use online pick-up options aside from just "Covid" or "Convenience" read more

I don't know what it is about this Home Depot, but it seems to be always filled with the most lackadaisical, complacent, rude, or just generally indifferent staff. After I've been burned a few times, I typically don't come back to a certain place. However I'm looking for a screen door. I go back I looked at their selection, nothings really marked it's hard to see, I can't find what I'm looking for so I go up to the desk. At the door desk are two gentlemen, both plugging away at their computer. I stand there for about 30 seconds, they both look up at me, and they both look back down at what they were doing. Just as I'm about to turn around and walk out the door, one of the gentleman says "what can I do for you". I ask if they have a specific size screen door and he's flat out says no. There is no "no sir, maybe I can try to look up one and order it for you", or "no, I can check one of the other stores to see if they have one". Just "No, and I don't care to try to help you find one". Love it. Won't be back here again, fool me twice, shame on me. read more

I was looking to rent a truck to move some items, but they were all in use. I understand that isn't the store's fault, but I gave them the review based on what I was told versus what was ACTUALLY happening. When I asked if I could reserve one of the trucks for when the came back, she told me no. However, she had a stack of names on notes taped to the side of her computer monitor with contact details for people waiting for trucks. I guess she thought my eyes didn't work correctly? I went to Home Depot to get a key carved and I got this cute Nemo house key:) I was super excited to use it because I never had a non-plain key before. Well.. We ordered and paid for a Whirlpool refrigerator through the Puyallup Home Depot. We were given a delivery date of 12/9/19 which was almost 6 weeks out. The night before delivery we received a call that it would be delivered between 12 and 5 pm. Day of delivery my wife takes off work to empty the old refrigerator and clean it because we payed to have it taken away. At 4:37 pm she received a call from the delivery company that there tailgate broke and they will not be making a delivery. He also says his boss will be contacting her. No call backs were made what so ever so she calls the delivery company the next day and asks for a supervisor. The supervisor now says no delivery until 12/14/19. My wife tells her thats unacceptable. The supervisor then tells her that if she doesn't like it that she will make sure it gets delivered NEXT YEAR. UNACCEPTABLE!! Always a headache with the Home Depot. Trying to get carpet installed. Had the people come in and do the measurements and they told us they would email us a quote. Cool. After we made all our choices, we were ready to go but they said it would take like a week for an apt and since we were going away for a bit, we decided to put it off. Fast forward to now. We were at the Home Depot to pick up some stuff and stopped by the flooring department to see if they had any new colors or whatever and this guy starts talking to us and pulls our quote and tells us "oh you are now looking at 6 weeks for an install and you have to pay in full first" and then PRINTS the quote for us and hands it to us. Get home, discuss it and we decide to pull the trigger. Call them to pay and get the process started. I kid you not I was on hold for 2 hours. Customer service would transfer me to flooring, flooring would pick up and not say anything and send me back to customer service. Finally got ahold of someone and they tell me "oh you don't have a quote". Remember the little part above about the man printing out our quote at HD and handing it to us? Well now it no longer exists at all. It took them 3 days of back and forth and I had to call and ask for a manager before I could get help and figure this out. Last time HD, last time. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I bought a cafe double drawer dishwasher back in august and if you buy this from Home Depot I would recommend that you put it in your self or hire someone else to install it . So the first two guys that attempted to install it I thought they did it correctly until I tried to use it It fell from the counter because they didn't attach it correctly. Then they came back out a week later to only make things worse and broke the top drawer. I called Home Depot they said it was out of stock until November. It's November now and guys called to let me know they are on there way and I asked them if they know how to install double drawer dishwasher they said no. He said he would call supervisor and call me back. I have wasted three days off because they hire people that don't know how to install appliances they sell. Would be 0 stars Tried to return a DeWalt battery charger that I got as a birthday gift. However since I had return something once before without a receipt I am now flagged and unable to return without a receipt. Although I have spent thousands of dollars at the store, there is no customer service person including the general manager who can override this. You have to call a third-party company who now take care of customer service. They also cannot override. So no one can override? It's just the way it is I was told. Well no more shopping at Home Depot...just the way it is. Only resolution have the person who purchased it take it back with original credit card. read more
