My husband, Bob & I have been going to this Lowes location for over 20 years, and finally decided it was time to write a review because we appreciate their fast, friendly, invaluable service and Marie. Recently, I had a list of items to purchase, and uncertain where to find them...An employee, Marie insisted on showing me where to locate them and also provided information on which products were best suited for my needs. I was very impressed that Marie was so knowledgeable and very patient, kind and is truly an asset to this store. Moreover, once Marie finished helping me, another employee said goodbye to her, and that's when I realized Marie was off her shift and yet, graciously helped me all that time. Hence, why I had to write this review.... However, whenever shopping there, employees are always helpful when needing to locate certain supplies, and when asked, provide tips for basic product use. Buyer beware Lowe's does not give back the same form of payment that is made. If you use credit card, you get credit card return, if you spend cash you get cash if you spend a gift card, you get an in-store credit. In-store credit does not allow the consumer to use that money for online orders or for in-store pick up through the app.. Lowe's should issue the refund in the form that is paid as a consumer that typically orders things and does in-store pick up or curbside. This is an inconvenience and should be changed. Lowe's really let me down. The employee that delivered my refrigerator refused to switch the door to the other side. He said that it wasn't his job and that I needed to schedule an appointment with someone else. When I finally called Lowe's I was told they couldn't help me because too much time had gone by, that I should have made the appointment within a month of the purchase. I told the representative that I had not been made aware of any time limit and that I had a 5-year extended warranty. She said the warranty didn't cover the "repair," but admitted that it had been the employee's duty to switch the door. She also admitted that I should have been made aware of their policy. So much for spending the extra money on a warranty. I wonder what else it doesn't cover. I told the representative how disappointed I was and how wrong they were. We had purchased a lot of appliances in the past for our rental houses and things were great. Now we are trying to purchase a stovetop and oven for $3000 for our own house. On August 1 the installer came and installed the stovetop and it's too small. You can see the ceiling from underneath on the sides. They also didn't hook the electric part up correctly, didn't have all the equipment, and we had to give them electric tape and wire nuts, and it has been left open. Not very professional. I can't use it at all, am afraid to even set anything on it because it will break. It's turned off at the fuse box. They sent out another guy who was supposed to remeasure and he agreed that this is not safe, nor is it code, said he was going to fix it and got in his truck and left. That was August 15 and now it's the 25th and no phone call, nothing. I went to the store and told them I want my money back. They are trying to make me jump through hoops and we will see if the install company will call again like they promised. They used to be good, I don't know what happened. I still don't have a stovetop I can use. I am fuming. How long should I have to go with no stove and they have my $3000? I can't even set anything on there for fear of it breaking. The weight of the underside will also pull down on the bottom and break the glass without me touching it. That's what the last guy said before he got in his truck and left. The manager is trying to do something now but it's too little, too late. Two stars for they used to be good, but if they keep doing things like this they will put themselves out of business. They wanted me to email the pictures but I can't and they won't take them by text so I guess I will post them here. Don't get any doors either, the company they had (Elite) is going out of business and they can't find another company. There was another customer trying to get all the hardware so his doors can be installed and they just gave him a shoulder shrug and told him they didn't know what to tell him. That company installed some doors for me last year and did a fantastic job. I don't know what is going on over there. They need new management or something. We ordered a dryer from them including installation. We were told they couldn't install because the gas line was loose and we needed to have a plumber come out and secure it. We called a plumber to the tune of $125 and were told there is nothing wrong with the gas line. It's connected to a hard pipe and the small amount of movement is fine. Lowe's is refusing to install and refusing to reimburse our $125. They obviously don't know what they are doing. I will NEVER shop at Lowe's again and I will tell every person I know about our experience! read more

I tried to return 10 items today and one of the items was not on the receipt. I asked if I could have store credit to get that item that I needed and the cashier said rudely said no we changed our policy and we will no longer do that. In the 13 years I have been shopping at that store I've never had an issue with this. I asked to speak to a manager for help. I saw that cashier have a conversation with one of the other people behind the counter, then the person approached me and said that they are not going to return the item. She did this without me even saying anything to her. After looking at her name badge, I realized that she wasn't a manager she was one of the other cashiers. I told her that I requested to speak to a manager, not another cashier. The original cashier went in the back office and came out several minutes later with the manage Joe. He seemed irritated out of the gates and without even hearing anything I had to say told me that they changed the return policy two weeks ago and there's nothing he can do. I explained to him that I purchased the item longer than 2 weeks ago so how can you apply the policy change now. He said that they've had the policy change posted on boards behind the return center for a longer period of time. I told him that might be so, but you don't have those boards posted at the checkout line, you just have them at the return center. He said that the system will not allow him to do anything. At that point I explained that I was just trying to exchange these $8 dollar tray liners for ones that actually fit the tray. I brought the manager down the paint isle and demonstrated how the liners do not fit the trays they are selling. The manager said, "Well I'm not a painter, I don't know what that means." I told him that I've been a customer at that store for 13 years and I showed him my receipt that had over $432 of purchases. I told him that I've been a consistent customer for a long time, is there a way you can just exchange the paint tray liners for the ones that fit the tray. He looked at me and said there's nothing I'm gonna do for you. As I'm walking away, Joe, the manager sarcastically told me to have a nice day. I took the item to a different Lowe's location and they exchanged the item without issue. It's frustrating as a customer when you've shopped at a store for so long and they make zero effort to help me with my needs. I came to Lowe's to get a craftsman socket set and and drill bit set I saw on their website on sale. And everything went good I bought it and the employees were great but when I got home I opened up the socket set and I had all the wrenches missing and I had my Ratchets swapped with Stanley ones and I had sockets missing and their were some used ones. I was baffled because I had bought it new and so i drove back to Lowe's and straight to returns. The lady's their were very nice and helpful I got to exchange the socket set for the same one and when I requested to have it opened they opened it and checked it with me that everything was their in the new one. Now one major flaw in their returns is that they didn't even check it when I returned it and so that makes me think that when people return things they don't check it at all and just put it on the shelf to sell again without being checked so that's unfortunate. The staff here always go above and beyond to help me find what I'm looking for, even if they need to direct me to another store not affiliated with Lowe's. I really appreciate that. I also appreciate the more up to date selection. I find the products at other home improvement stores look dated. This is especially true for tile and lighting. As for special orders, I did have an issue when I ordered a hot tub. Lowe's was honest about their part in the failure, apologized and got everything sorted out as soon as they could. It's hard not to like people who say they messed up and that they are really sorry. Pro tip, save those receipts for your plants, trees and shrubs. They definitely honor that one year warranty, which was great to have after the last deep freeze took out half of my new rose bushes. read more

Purchased tile and grout ... and product delivered to my home. however they delivered the WRONG color grout and apparently it was my fault because I did not read the grout bag to ensure that Lowe's did not make an error on my order!! The most disgusting and unethical team I have ever worked with in my entire life. I ordered a fridge from Lowe's, you know a pretty standard one. After 6 weeks, I was so excited (after not having a freezer because it broke!!!)! Delivery day FINALLY came! I got a call about 2 hours before install time , so I was super stoked and quickly left work as I took a half day vacation for the install. Disaster strikes! The 2 guys show up for install and must really not enjoy their jobs, they were very short with conversation. They came into the house and starting taking apart my existing fridge before stating to me that they would not remove the fridge because it was "attached to the wall." The fridge was not. Then they stated that they would not remove a sub zero fridge. I called the manager at the store and she said they did not remove sub zero fridges.... Ok, but no where in their T&Cs does it state anything remotely close to that. So, I called Lowe's customer service.... they agreed not removing a specific brand name was absolutely absurd. The two guys were extremely rude, condescending, and told me they would just leave the new fridge in the garage..... what can I do with a fridge in the garage? They told me they didnt have time to deal with me because they had other deliveries to make. After they said some colorful choice words (yelp wouldn't let me post if I repeated them), and then they slammed my door as they walked out, I saw them on my security system leaving.... So, I still do not have a fridge and no resolution for my money that I spent 8 weeks ago (now). I'd go to their competitor, but their price went up by $700 for something similar... I hope that Lowe's come up with a reasonable resolution considering the horrible experience AND the fact that the price of the fridge went up by $500 since I originally paid for it..... Still no resolution. They scheduled delivery only to not show. I called an hour after the delivery time to see what the deal was. The lady said "it should be delivered between 10-12," I responded with "yes, that was supposed to be true but it is now 12:45." The store called me back after multiple transfers..... they had no plans on delivering that day. Keep in mind they requested us to take day #4 off to get a fridge and we have spent no less than 4 hours on the phone trying to figure out what to. read more

So, my mom just bought a house in March, and needed to get a bunch of different stuff for it. She was in the market for several items, such as a fridge, washer, dryer a bathroom vanity and several other items as well. After shopping around at a few other stores, we ended up here. Believe it or not, this was probably the best experience out of all the big box stores that we went to. For starters, we bundled all the appliances and saved a bunch of money. Free delivery, discounts, coupons and great customer service seems to have won us over. Overall, the entire purchase process was simple, easy and really good. There were a few glitches along the way, but nothing horrible. What we noticed here is that the staff really took the time to help us out, and seemed to be way more knowledgeable then the people at Home Depot. I have no problems with home depot, but we always stuck out when we were there. Not here at Lowes! My mom also got a Lowes card that keeps track of her purchases. This really helps with the appliances, and even the small ticket items so no one forgets. I still shop at other stores, but let me tell you, we had such success here with everything that we bought big and small, I don't know that I would really go anywhere else for items like that. We also found that the service here was far greater then other places around. No BS, no upselling, no drama when checking out. Very smooth process. read more

The contractors they hired showed up to my house high in god knows what, LATE and then proceeded to listen to the most AWFUL medley of godsmack, three days grace etc. at FULL VOLUME for hours. 2. They left bottles of piss in my driveway, garbage from another job for DAYS and cigarettes all over my porch, deck and front yard. 3. The younger man came to finish work they didn't do (weeks later if I might add) and didn't knock or let us know he was here, he just walked into my house (I had only woken up because my dogs were freaking out over an intruder). 4. We paid to have our toilet installed and they haven't installed it Kitchen: Cabinets were delivered 3 weeks ago and the PII never came to inspect them, and they just set an installation date (after calling him 5+ times with no follow up). She thanked me for my service & said that the military deserves more than just 10%. She started tearing up and then squeezed my arm and said 'thank you' again. Kathy was so sweet, nice, genuine, and extremely thankful for our military. She even had me in tears by Her gratitude!! I decided to try the local Lowe's out this morning after several years of purchasing at Home Depot. The store set up is almost identical to HD; however, the staff were not nearly as approachable. I spoke to three separate employees and not one of them greeted me with a smile nor did they go out of their way to find what I needed. I will not return, mostly because they no longer offer veteran's discounts. As I was checking out, the cashier looked at my driver's license, which clearly indicated my veteran's status and said they no longer offer discounts to veteran's... only active duty military. The manager went on to say that Lowe's does something for veteran's 4 times a year. I responded with letting him know that while serving, I protected his freedom with my life 365 days a year and his idiotic rationale for not offering me a measly 10% discount felt like a slap in the face. Veterans make up about 1.3 percent of the US population. This simple discount is a small price to pay for good public relations. I have spent in the neighborhood of $30,000 in home improvement over the past 20+ years and It amazes me how corporations can be so "penny wise and pound foolish". read more

Brea is a extremely rude employee. I was in the store and I had to ask another store member for her name because she refused to give it to me and covered up her name tag. She was mocking an Indian man and making fun of his accent. Apparently she has been working at the store for years and after talking to some of the other store employees they said that this is how she always is. Issued refund without telling me after I scheduled another delivery. Lowes now does not do their own deliveries. LOUSY POLICY REGARDING PRICE ADJUSTMENTS: The item that I just bought 2 weeks ago is more than $20 cheaper in this week's ad, so I went into a Lowe's website chat to get a price adjustment - then tried calling their customer service. I was told the same thing - that I must bring the item back to the store and return it - then repurchase it (within 30 days)! What? This is their policy regardless what you have bought.
