I've been shopping at this Lowe's for at least 20 years now and while I can't really say that it's ever been an enjoyable experience it did, at one time, get the overall job done. Since the 2019 lockdowns the current manager seems to be hell-bent on making it the most miserable place to shop on Earth. All the cashiers are gone. Now there are just an array of self checkout kiosks and at least 8 of them are closed at all times just to make sure that you still have to stand in a ridiculous line while some old woman looks over your shoulder to upsell you on a rewards membership. Item doesn't scan? Welp. You'll just get to stand there for half an hour while somebody figures out what to do about it. Need to push a large cart full of drainage pipes to one of those three open self-checkout kiosks? Well surprise, idiot. Mr. Manager Man has decided to put giant display racks in the middle of every aisle making that completely impossible under the best of circumstances. 99% of the time there will also be a waddling gaggle of morbidly obese people obstructing whatever's left of the aisle because they want to look at the moose scented candles or whatever stupid bullshit they're carrying for no apparent reason. Need to find a particular electrical or plumbing fitting? Too bad. Every single box has had its contents thoroughly shuffled with every other box in the store so there's absolutely no chance the fitting you need is anywhere near where it's supposed to be. Asking anyone where they put them just gets you a stoned "Uh, like... What?" from the random idiot wandering around. Entire aisles will be cordoned off for the entire day because someone eventually plans on restocking something. They're not stocking it now and they won't be stocking it in the next hour but it's closed. If you dare walk down it anyway a pimply kid will yell at you and that's like really threatening or something. Just in case you haven't been run off yet, there's also an obnoxiously beeping inventory robot ramming into you from behind and a scam artist from some solar incentive sales ponzi scheme following up shortly thereafter. He got his job on the TikTok. Given what an unbelievable hassle it is just to set foot in this place, you might think that you'll be clever and order whatever you need on their website so they have to go burrowing through their own randomized inventory piles but you'll be screwed there, too, because the website automatically reloads itself at least a dozen times so the search field clears itself out and is absolutely worthless. The actual order pickup process is also every bit as time consuming as it involves a stoner doofus reading numbers on a tag to find your order. The manager needs to be removed so things can get back to their usual degree of mediocrity. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would, the customer service varied from apathetic to abysmal. The air conditioner that I bought for my daughter was covered in a dust blanket (every other place that I looked at said that the portable AC would have to be delivered either to the store or my house) and I had to ask an associate for a paper towel to wipe off my hand and the top of the unit. It's possible that people avoid coming here because the customer service is like an emery vampire) . It was a truly awful experience. I bought a portable air-conditioning unit for my very pregnant daughter in this very weird heat wave. Incomplete installation and failed service recovery I purchased a washer from Lowe's and had it installed. The installation was incomplete--the machine was never leveled. I called to schedule a follow-up appointment to finish the job. The technician did not show up. When I called back to reschedule, I was simply placed back in the standard installation queue with no acknowledgment of the missed appointment or any priority service. This left me without a functioning washer for an extended period. Lowe's showed no interest in resolving the problem quickly or treating the service failure as urgent. After multiple calls and attempts to escalate, they finally completed the leveling--only after I had exhausted their complaint process. The core issue: Lowe's' installation scheduling system is broken. They make promises they don't keep, and their "solution" to a service failure is to bury you back in the regular queue. There is no accountability, no service recovery, and no sense that they value customer satisfaction. I will not purchase from Lowe's again. If you need appliances, find a retailer that actually stands behind their work and cares about their customers. read more

My husband and I come here all the time when we work on our house. Most of the time we find what we need. Today was extra special. We needed help finding a floor rug. This young man named Dandy came to help us. He dedicated his time scanning for the carpet. He went up the ladder to find the name of the rug. Unfortunately it had gone on sale last week!!! An 8x10 for $149 dollars was reduced to $49.99!!!! It sold out. He looked at other stores that may still have it. Only 1 left. Shhhh! I'm not going to tell you where. I have to go get to it first. Ordered Laminate Countertop through Lowe's. They were installed in May 2025. Just over 1 year later, the countertops have started to delaminate. Neither Lowes or their 3rd party installer, sage Surfaces, will offer and remediation. Lowe's obviously will not guarantee the labor offred through their own program. read more

These people do not know what they are doing. I tried to purchase a kitchen sink as part of a renovation project. Spent over an hour and 15 minutes trying to figure out how to get a model they had on display. They would not take my Lowe's credit card because it hadn't been used in years. Then they told me there were only 2 sinks available in the system and I would have to pay $79 for shipping. They scheduled an arrival date and time, and it never came. Twice I tried reaching them by phone, no one answered after waiting over an hour , never went to voicemail so couldn't leave a message. Finally went to store in San Francisco and discovered they had one in stock. But it took over a half hour for them to get it to me. Really poor customer Service at Lowes San Bruno Store. I purchased a Electric tool for a father's day gift online, picked it up on June 6th. The recipient went on vacation and today opened it up and plugged it in. Nothing, no power, doesn't work. We drive to Lowes and was informed we had 48 hours to make a return! No exchange, no store credit. So Lowes sold us a defective item, won't make it right and told us to contact the manufacturer. Manager on duty was just robotic and says he can't take it back. Gee thanks for taking my money for an item that is defective. I will be taking my business to Home Depot in the future. That left such a bad impression! read more

Lowe's stores are always cleaner and more organized than Home Depot, and way easier to find staff to help you. Returns are easier too because the line is much shorter than at Home Depot. Lowe's is a more consumer friendly store, which is a nice change of pace. One less than ideal thing is sometimes they have a roving solar salesperson who is friendly but would prefer not to be solicited while shopping. Lowe's stores tend to be less conveniently located but this San Bruno one is right off 380 and easy to get to. read more

Absolutely horrible, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LOWES, spent about 10k on appliances and bathroom fixtures for our new house. Oven came in last week, delivery guys ran out of the house so fast after I had to chase them down to give them their drill and the old fridge doors they were supposed to take away. Then I unbox the oven the following week for my contractor to install and the whole bottom was smashed in, called lowes they said because it had been more than 5 days I can't get a refund or exchange, are you fing serious? ANd becuase it's been less than a year their protection plan doesn't kick in yet, they kicked me to fridgedaire (manufacturer) who tried to tell me I'd have to pay for it to be repaired, I finally convinced them to pay for all repairs. I will be charing this back since I bought a new oven not one that fell off a cargo ship and was then repaired by a handyman. Hopefully when they lose all the money on this sale it will make them learn. Also bought a vanity the door on it came in all scraped up, the box it came in was in fine condition so it's obvious it was packaged already messed up. I called them they said "oh it's another business that just sells through us so we can't send you a door" if you bring it back to a physical location we can refund you and order a new one" I explained I don't have a car that can fit it and the closes lowes is 30 miles away, they refused to do anything but give me a $50 discount on a $600 item, so I will charge this back too. Used to be a huge fan of Lowe's and truly believed they offered good deals on quality products. Until today. If you've read my reviews, anywhere, regarding Sunrun, you'd know how I feel about them as a horrible, unethical company. They set customers up so that batteries they pay for only service the grid and call that correct. Over the last five years of being their customer, I can honestly say, we've thrown away at least $10k because they have us set up to fully drain our batteries to the grid at 5:00pm (only to turn around and buy power an hour later) everyday and then NOT set up to keep our power on when the grid goes dark. Again, Sunrun openly calls this the correct set up of a system they install. OK...back to Lowe's. The reason I no longer believe Lowe's has their customers best interest at hand is because when I walked into the store today, I found a Sunrun rep with a booth selling to unsuspecting homeowners. In other words, Lowe's is allowing Sunrun to victimize their customers. I only hope their rep has a horrible sales day!!! Every day!!! read more

This is our local Home Improvement store. While we don't come too often, I've been to this location a handful of times over the last decade. Parking is usually pretty easy, as they share a large lot with the Lucky. For the most part, they have a pretty standard selection of home improvement departments and goods. Everything from tools, to appliances, to various materials and supplies. The prices seem to be reasonable; I haven't noticed anything being substantially overpriced. The staff is mostly friendly, with the occasional person going above and beyond, and the occasional person not having a great day. We also like coming here for their garden center! They have a solid selection of plants, flowers, and gardening accessories. We very much look forward to our trips to Lowe's, especially when we're looking for garden additions! read more

I'm disappointed with this store's handling of Craftsman's lifetime warranty. Despite selling Craftsman products, they refuse to honor the warranty without a receipt--even for hand tools that should qualify without question. Honestly, who keeps a receipt for something they bought 8-10 years ago? Since Craftsman reimburses them for warranty claims, there's no reason to make this process difficult for customers. This seems more like a management issue than a policy one. Poor training and lack of customer service make simple resolutions needlessly frustrating. I am currently managing a multi-phase home remodel here in Pacifica and reached out to this Lowe's location to handle our kitchen cabinetry. The experience with their kitchen designer, John Kim, was completely unacceptable from start to finish. ​The timeline of events speaks for itself: ​Initial Contact: John asked for my kitchen measurements. I provided them promptly, and he confirmed receipt, stating he would get back to me. ​The Ghosting: Five days passed with no contact. I sent a follow-up email and called repeatedly with zero response. ​Forced Escalation: I had to physically drive to the store to get anyone to speak with me and set up an appointment. During this visit, staff hyped up John as an "award-winning" designer. ​Queue Bumping: When I finally met with John today, he admitted he intentionally bumped me down his queue without notifying me. His justification was that our project timeline is three months out, so he prioritized customers who "needed cabinets next week." Penalizing a customer for responsible, long-term planning is a terrible business practice. ​Refusal to Design: The absolute breaking point was his refusal to actually do his job. First, he asked me to provide a competitor's finished design for him to copy. When I didn't have one, he demanded a detailed layout from our contractor. I pointed out that if our contractor was doing the design work, we wouldn't need him. His actual excuse for demanding a pre-made layout was that otherwise, we might ask for "100 redesigns." ​If this is what Lowe's considers "award-winning" service, I highly recommend going elsewhere. Looking soley at the number of stars this Lowe's has, you would think you were entering one of the circles of hell by going here. However, in reading a few of them, it seems that some of the common issues are: 1. Trouble getting a hold of someone on the phone 2. Trouble with appliance deliveries to homes 3. Trouble with appliance pick-up from homes None of these typically apply to me, and if they don't apply to you, keep reading: I often order items on Lowes.com and set it for in-store pick-up. I've done this several times, and never had a problem: the pick-up counter was staffed and responsive, and I've gotten my items with no issues. This has ranged from smaller items like spray bottles, to larger ones like skylights. Walking around for items has also been no problem at all. Lowe's prices are good, pretty much the same as Home Depot, so at times it's a matter of seeing which store has what I need in stock, and going to that store. read more

Nice size store that at least had what I wanted, a decent Plunger ! As for the store, easy parking, spacious, and it appeared to be well stocked. Lowe's also has a large garden center, and decent holiday offering. As for my shop, I just wanted a well made Rubber Plunger which in this case is made by Korky, the store was stocked with what I wanted to buy so yea I was happy. Several opportunities for customer service to improve at the store. If you're just coming in to do very very small projects or just a couple items and don't need anyone's help, you'll likely be fine. However, with large purchases and heavy items, they don't assist with hauling out to the vehicle + they take forever get management over when you request management support to resolve issues. Help is almost completely non-existent in the gardening section, as they only have one staff member at the cash register who is expected to handle the entire department. Prices here are decent, but I just really wish that customer service was a lot better. read more
