Just left here. I was waiting in line and didn't want to use self check out because I wanted to be helped by an associate. This white girl that works there said "i can help you with self check out I said no and as I waited to be rang up by a person there was this short philippine or asian woman who was checking a customer out and after she finish she walked away from her register just to stand there instead of helping me. Then the other associate said I can help you. I asked about the 50% off sale on the Ashland cups and she had let me know it was not on sale and featured it was the small ones. She had a rushing aggravated tone and she was talking to the asian woman behind me like a child. RUN THE CAMERAS you'll see. It gave off when a mom drops a teen off at school and they act differently then when the parents around. The self checkout has given employees the chance to not want to interact with customers and just stand behind the register starring

Come here for all your arts crafts and school supplies needs. Me and my girlfriend came here this past week and they had everything she was looking for to set up her classroom. The prices are very great as well and customer service is great!

Every time I come to this location I get met with attitudes and people who don't care to help, that's if you can find them. What finally led me to leave this review was the employee named SHAWN. I wanted to buy something with cash but all the self service machines only take card. So I seen Shawn at the order pickup area and asked him if he could help since the machines don't take cash. This alone must've annoyed him because he replied with attitude saying he'd be there in a minute. I continue to wait, about 30 seconds go by and somebody asks him about the pricing for an item. He proceeds to talk with the guy, scan the item, and by now it's been about 2 minutes. THEN Shawn walks right past me and proceeds to help another customer right next to me at the self service station. Once he's finished with that guy he starts to walk towards yet another person at the self service station which at that point I had enough. I literally raised my voice and called him out for his behavior. Stating I've been waiting for him to help and he's just walking around helping everyone but me. He clearly had something against me or my cash. I would avoid this Michael's if you're looking for good customer service.

I was in the area recently and decided to stop by because I wanted to support a local business. My…read moredaughter loves Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon cards, and I'm a big comic book fan, so I was excited to check out a local shop that seemed like it could be a place we would enjoy visiting. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. When we walked in, we were greeted by a young man working there. I asked him a simple question: "Do you know when Batman Day is?" I asked because I'm a longtime Batman fan and was genuinely interested in upcoming Batman releases. (This conversation is going on with my 12yr old daughter was browsing near by) His response was essentially, "How would I know?" I explained that I was asking because I'm a Batman fan, and that I understood Batman Day is associated with the release of new Batman comics, "Batman of Two Worlds." Instead of having a conversation with a customer who was clearly interested in comics, he responded by saying that he wouldn't know because "nobody gives a shit about DC." I was honestly taken aback. First, I had just told him that I was a Batman fan. Second, this is a comic and trading-card store. If a customer walks in and asks about a major comic-related event or an upcoming Batman release, I would expect at least some basic knowledge or, at the very least, a willingness to help find the answer. What bothered me most wasn't simply that he didn't know the answer. Nobody can know everything. It was the dismissive and disrespectful attitude toward a paying customer who was genuinely interested in the products the store sells. Even if DC isn't personally his favorite, there was absolutely no reason to tell a customer that "nobody gives a shit about DC" especially in front of a 12yr child. Comments like that can make someone feel unwelcome, especially when they're coming into a local business specifically because they want to support it. I also don't know whether this person was the owner or an employee, but either way, the interaction left a very poor impression of the business. If you work in retail especially a specialty shop built around people's hobbies and passions customer service and enthusiasm should be a big part of the experience. You don't have to like every character, publisher, or product, but you should respect the customers who do. I came in thinking this could be a place where I could shop with my daughter, look at Pokémon and Magic cards, browse comics, and potentially become a regular customer. Instead, I walked out wondering why I should support a business where the person behind the counter seems so dismissive of the very customers they're trying to attract. I genuinely hope this was an isolated interaction and that the owner takes this kind of feedback seriously. Local businesses deserve support, but customers also deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. If you hate your job or have no interest in the customers and products you're representing, retail probably isn't the right place for you. As we were leaving, even my 12 year-old daughter asked me why was that person so rude and that speaks volumes coming from a kid.

Got a PIC programer and some other various things. After he moved to the current location thats closer to the airport I continue to buy things from him, usually emergencies when I'm short a part or have a rush on something. Hobby Engineering has a searchable website so you can see what he has in stock. The IMIM store hours are what I would nicely say Quasi-Predictable. He's basically running two businesses at the same time by himself and most business is through the mail-order/warehouse side of things however you can really tell he wants to have a storefront. I know currently he's trying for regular Saturday hours but its always best to read the website instructions. When I need something I check the website, then I call to see when he'll be around. If I'm in a rush after confirming he'll be there I'll place the order online and pay for it as a Will-Call and swing by. He has also been incredible in the past and met me at weird or late hours to pick something up. The IMIM store itself is on the second floor and he's making good progress on it as of my last visit. Quite a bit of hobby-related stuff on the shelves to browse. His speciality seems to be Robotics but a lot of general model making supplies around too. Not some much on display for general electronics but the warehouse is just downstairs so if you know he has it in stock and he doesn't have bunches of customers upstairs he has no issues grabbing parts from the warehouse. I have to reiterate, you need to read the website. Local store. One person. Hard to cover everything by himself. My hope ( and I'm sure Al's ) is that the storefront gets enough traction to warrant an employee. He's got a bunch of space and a lot of possibility.

He wanted to know what I was working on, and told me that he didn't really have any stock out to look at. They have a HUGE variety of RC stuff--cars, trucks, boats, planes, parts, accessories, different bodies, and so much more. They even work on and repair RC cars there, which is really convenient. For me, the coolest part was the indoor RC track! Since this was my first time here, I was honestly amazed watching everyone race their little RC cars around the track . I didn't realize how big of a hobby this was, so it was actually really fun to watch. They also have an entire rock-crawling room with rocks, bridges, ramps, and different obstacles for the RC trucks, which was really cool to see. The guy working there was also really nice. He greeted us when we came in and answered all of my husband's questions. He was friendly and took the time to talk to us without making us feel rushed. They also had several Monster Jam RC trucks, which immediately caught my attention . I specifically asked about the Sparkle Smash truck. Even though RC cars aren't really my hobby, I still had a good time looking around and watching everyone race.
