For the yard I cherished Gardenville on RR12 until they closed *inconsolable sobbing* At Lowe's I don't expect anyone to help me. Usually find myself here because I have an empty gardening spot and am running an errand nearby or after one of our pets have passed and I'm shopping for the funeral because they do have lots of plants, soil, and pots of most sizes. Also have picked up border/paving stones on occasion. The prices on plants are decent as is the general variety, and if the outdoor register is staffed for your visit you have had a great trip. read more

Lowes made a Home Depot customer out of me after I paid five weeks ago for 17 "in stock" blinds for my house. Lowes scheduled the blinds installation with me two separate times, I took off work two times, and neither time the blinds were cut and ready as indicated by the Lowes emails, but I was never notified until the end of the day each time. Complete waste of 16 hours and missed work. Worst customer service experience with Lowes ever. Absolute gross negligence and mismanagement by the San Marcos, Texas store management team. No regard for customer service or delivering the purchased product. Here is the timeline and facts: Lowes installation support team: 888-516-1010 June 23, 2025: measurements. June 27, 2025: paid online, installation scheduled for July 11th. July 11, 2025: - took off work for installation, lost 8 hours of wages, informed at 3pm not cut as stated, not ready. July 15 - (Day 19 after paid for in stock item): -3pm, no call as promised on July 11th. - I called them (Rita) - Rita she could see a case was opened to escalate. - Rita said she would call the store and call me back. - 4:40, no call so I called back. - Spoke either Greg (closes at 7pm CST). - Rita's email said the store will contact me within 2 days by June 17th. - Greg said he will call the store and call me back today. - Greg sent me an email and said the store manager should call me tonight with the solution. - No call received. This review is specifically directed at their delivery team. This has been the most frustrating online purchase I have ever experienced. First they missed the delivery date by 5 days scheduled for 1 March (I called that day to confirm delivery), but was actually delivered today 6 March. Second, while they were missing my delivery date they left my entire $3K+ order in the rain possibly warping the flooring. Lastly, when they delivered the product they could not utilize their forklift to lift the pallet into the garage leaving my tenant to unload 68 boxes of flooring THEY DID NOT HELP WITH A SINGLE BOX. I will forever be a Home Depot patron following this experience. They said they will reimburse me $500, but that has been another unfulfilled promise. I went into the store again and I was given this number to call XDT delivery 737-393-39111 option 2 and transfer order to my Lowe's card. That number is disconnected. I called the store and told her the situation and was given another number 737-404-6061 option 1 or 2. XDT doesn't cancel or transfer to my Lowe's card. They instead said I need to call Lowe customer service. I waited 25 minutes only yet to be called back by auto call. It goes straight to my voicemail and I don't have your number blocked. I should've never used your store again after a long bout with a door installation that is now going on 2 years of work. Ive had it replaced already once, Jeld wen denied. Horrible horrible customer service and follow up. Never use their home installation services, and if you purchase something that needs delivery, make sure everything is properly done up front (promotional savings, etc.). I contacted an associate on the app who said if I wanted it transferred to a different store, I'd have to pay more. So I drive across town to pick it up. Waited curbside for more than 1/2 hr. My daughter goes inside to check on the order. One guy tells her that it's not there even after supposedly checking on his scanner. So I proceed inside & show the text to another associate who tells me that it's not there then says it can't be found. After about another 15 minutes the item is found! DO NOT purchase your cabinets from Lowes! 1. The person who took my order over charged me by $4000, that was resolved 7 WEEKS after I placed my order 2. This person was "new" so they did not know to tell me to order toe kicks. 3. They did not order the spacers I wanted. 4. I ordered a custom size cabinet, they sized the small one correctly, but, not the large one it goes over. 5. Where the two cabinets meet up the sides do not match so I need covers. 6. They ordered a utensil cabinet instead of a spice cabinet. 7. One of the cabinets had a nail protruding from it and it shows. 8. One of the cabinets has paint that was screwed up. 9. I was told I would get these in 3 weeks, it took close to 6 weeks. 10. Received a call that my items were in (even though my original order was delivered, they refused to deliver all the items they or the manufacturer screwed up), and low and behold only 1 item was in. Glass for the upper cabinets that were made incorrectly. So another waste of my time. My contractor had to move to another job. This is costing me money, time and convenience. It took me an hour to prepare something that normally takes me 15 minutes, why you may ask...because I DO NOT HAVE A KITCHEN thanks to Lowes. I am washing my dishes in my bathroom do you know how gross that is? All along I have asked for nothing more than what I was told by YOUR employees. Lowes does not care that you are inconvenienced, that they charge you incorrectly, they allow untrained employees to take large custom orders. It is not only an inconvenience, but it is costing me money. Went in at 9:59 today to grab literally 1 item and the dude shut the door in my face and I asked if I could grab the one single item I needed after spending several hundred if not a thousand dollars just in the last 2 days alone and he told me no and that all your registers shut down right at 10 which is a flat out lie. This is just my short story venting about my experience with a Karen at Lowe's. Came for the much in-demand free Butterfly Quest Kit at 4:50 pm. All the Lowe's were booked around us so we drove an hour here and made a day trip out of it. Received an email that says you gotta find a "Enter Here" sign but there was none. So I park in the Curbside parking. Called the number but after about 10 rings it went straight to the busy tone. Sooo I called the regular phone line. You have to talk to a robot which picks up any sound as a response and gets easily messed up repeating the question after being interrupted. Finally was at the part where the automated system asks what department you want. I figured probably best to pick the Garden Center. Waited a while to say yes to the robot. A kind young man picks up the phone and I tell him my problem. He instantly solves it telling me that they do not have enough staff to go out to the curbside parking, nor a line outside specifically for it. Says to go to customer service. I park while my beloved family waits in the car. It's a long line inside at the customer service center and no one in-front of me is there for the free Butterfly Quest Kit. I'd say about 6 people were waiting when I got there. They are there for something else I could tell. Then, the old senior Karen enters. I am last in line and she is right behind me. I'm waiting a while now, which is no problem because this is a free thing from Lowe's. The line goes by and then I am called forward. I politely tell the lady employee I am looking for the Butterfly Quest Kit. The Karen from behind me overhears me and ignores the facts of COVID regulations in this private business, and proceeds to butt in right next to me. She was inches from me, waving her phone around saying she is looking for the free kit too. That she has been driving around looking for it. That her time is so precious she wants to attempt to cut infront of me for a FREE kit, rudely interrupting my conversation with the nice employee whose just doing her job. The employee asks for my email confirmation and for the Karen's too. I already had it pulled up but the Karen did not because she felt entitled to this free kit. The employee checks my email all the while the Karen is fumbling around with her phone, putting her bifocals on to see what she is doing. Karen didn't cone prepared. The employee goes around back to grab the free kits. Karen is still looking for her confirmation email. I cross my arms, which I usually do because it's confortable, to show the Karen I am upset at her immature, entitled, bratty, child-like behavior, despite her being old and a senior citizen. The employee comes back and I get the free Butterfly Kit. Karen does not. As I am walking out she still is not prepared and so I walk back to the car to join my lovely family. I just gotta say that she was a pure Karen. Had I confronted her about her inability to realize what she was doing being an entitled Karen, she would have reacted like an atom bomb. So, the service has never been stellar. What I mean by that is they very rarely approach customers, although when I ask for help, it's been mostly a great experience. You have a few great people; Donna and Ali on the front end, all the return desk associates, Robert in hardware, a shortish Hispanic woman in flooring/blinds, Vince the ASM, and a skinny a young associate with dark hair at The pro desk (Brittany?). Thank you for them!! This morning, however, I needed some dimensional PT lumber. Apparently, the dimensional aisle went through some changes. I get it. 22 years in retail, 15 as a store manager for your biggest competitor. That being said, the aisle was disorganized, meaning the product was all over the place. Many of the types (2" x's, 4" x's, etc.) were not grouped together. I approached 2 associates were working hard pulling orders. I asked them, "could you please tell me where the 2x6x14' are?" The taller of the 2 said basically, "they jammed wood everywhere" and then said, "I don't know if it's out back or not". They then went back to work. I though to myself, Well ok, they're understaffed, busy, and stressed. I'll go to McCoys. I tried to find some one else, no luck. So I loaded some other lumber on my cart and shopped a little more. I still needed 1- 4x4x8 , which is kept out front. Got to lumber register, and cashier was awesome, very sweet and helpful. Can't remember her name, but she is your main building materials cashier. Finished the transaction, went out front to grab the 4x4. Well, sitting on top of the unit of 4x4s , was I pallet of block. The lumber was not shopable, same thing with a bunk of 2x4s next to it. The area in front of this lumber was loaded with contractors trucks, and no way to get a lift to it. So, I grabbed my knife, and opened another unit of 4x4s... That's when the 2 guys, whom I met in lumber and didn't care to check in the back, came along. The one that was on the lift actually yelled at me. Yes, and he kept yelling. He was yelling that he would have taken the pallet of block off the 4x4s. I said , "why is there a pallet of block on top of the only stoppable 4x4s". At that point, I let it go, and apologized. In my 22 year retail career, I've never yelled at a customer. If anyone reads this, I ask why aren't your people trained to have your product available when you open? The reason? Your store manager. I must admit that I see him on the floor a lot, unlike the last SM. But, he never says hello. He will help a customer if asked. It's obvious that service is never a priority, and most of his associates have picked up on that. This store is going to pieces, I've never seen it in this condition, and never been yelled at..ever. Was there to purchase a wheel barrel , So out front they had them; I wanted one to pick up went inside to pay for it they looked it up and rang it up. I asked the cashier I said is somebody gonna come out there and unlock it, he said somebody should be out there. I said I just came from out there and there's nobody out there. So we asked the girl standing by the door who is currently in a conversation with her employ friend and she kind of snapped at him like he interrupted her and she said call Kristen. He goes back to his cash register and immediately starts helping the next person. So I look back at the girl who is close by I said is someone calling anyone and she said yeah he's calling someone now and I said no he's not he's not on the phone he's helping the next customer. She sees the head cashier who has the keys. We go out there to get it; And guess what , all the wheelbarrels that I saw out there for $89 are somehow not in the system. It's a different one it's the color gray so I said I'll take that one he said that we don't actually have these here either. He was going to offer me a store credit I said no I want my money back so I can go get one down the street at Walmart. Just purchased a refrigerator and propane grill spending over $1,100 dollars. I wanted to add the propane hose to the order but can't get anyone to answer the phone at this store. I called 10 times because 7 of my calls were placed on hold and after 5 minutes of hold time they hung up while I was on hold. This happened 7 times. The manager needs to educate his staff on customer service and how to handle customers on the phone. The girl that helped me with the purchase was very nice and was a tremendous help. I have never in my life had a worse home installation experience nor customer service experience. We ordered windows for the entire house in September of 2022 from a Lowes representative. We spent roughly $19,000. The first installation started in January of 2023 and while only slotted for a 2-day job, it ended up being 3. The installation team provided by Trinity showed up the first day REAKING of marijuana. The team did a horrific job of installing and trim work. I had them redo at least 8 of the 13 windows four times. FOUR TIMES because apparently they don't know how to cut, measure or level anything. They also did not replace rotten wood on 2 of the windows that I was assured by the Lowes representative that they would. Furthermore, they damaged existing exterior trim (that they had no intention of replacing) on every single window. At the end of day one when they were "cleaning up" my back yard, I caught one of the workers smoking marijuana. On my property. In my back yard. I am beside myself. Texas is NOT a state where marijuana is legal. Upon completion of this 3-day job, I was beyond disappointed with how I was treated and how my home was treated... not to mention the state of my brand new - very expensive - windows. I called Lowes Installation customer service many, many times... with no call back by supervisors. I'd get the "okay, this has been escalated and a supervisor will call you within 2 business days"... only for them to NOT call. Ultimately, I did get a decent human on the phone and they sent out a guy from Trinity to survey the damage. Edwin was fantastic. He agreed that a terrible job was done and took on the job himself. In April Edwin came and spent almost a week working here to replace rotten wood, reset windows and replace damaged trim. The only items left undone have been a damaged kitchen window and about 50-60 missing screw covers. I've had TWO appointments now with Trinity/Lowes that have not happened. The first was October 17, 2023 and when the team arrived, they did not have the materials. Lowes told them that the materials were delivered to my home... and they were not. I had a follow up appointment scheduled for today, November 8, 2023 from 9-11am and at this time nobody has called nor shown up. All in all, this has been a TRAGIC DISASTER. Materials scheduled for drop off without consulting me (and I wasn't home), damaged property, drugs on my property, missed appointments, lack of "give a shit" from basically everyone except Edwin. DO NOT EVER USE LOWES FOR YOUR WINDOW INSTALLATION. I wholeheartedly regret not using Andersen for this project. So, 14 months later and this is still an unfinished project and Lowes has done NOTHING to make it right. Not. One. Thing. It's not too late to make this right, but it's getting very close. read more

I've been a customer of this location since it opened, probably fifteen or more years ago. The customer service has always been spotty (it's a big-box chain store, so no surprise), but recently it's just completely lacking. Nobody knows anything there, they keep telling you "I'll get someone" and then disappear when you need help, and god help you if you try to get someone on the phone there to help you. Maybe it's the whole pandemic thing and they can't get good help, but I'm done with Lowe's. I'll drive up to Kyle to the Home Deport or just pay the extra it costs to shop at McCoy's. read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE NEW BRAUNFELS STORE #2812 at 1455 IH 35 South NB TX 78130 We ordered a door to be installed in Nov 2021. They brought a broken door and had to return it but the installer never returned the trim. It took a month to get a replacement door ordered and I had to call every week to track down the mill works manager until finally the replacement door was ordered. When it came in, the lowes staff repeatedly refused to give installers the door and all the trim TWICE resulting in 2 missed installations. When we finally got THAT straightened out, the installer missed the install appointment. The installers RESCHEDULED A 4 th appointment. When the installers arrived in New Braunfels from Houston today, Lowes told them the door had been returned to stock and we had been refunded, which we have not. I guess they showed us! I guess in there Lacking skills of operation Manager skills it not only ok to not have QUALITY CONTROL, it is also ok to make the customer pay for their mistake. .. instead of resolving the issue S soon as posible with a short window of waiting. To be honest I believe Lowes need a better system and their employees and manager need more training and pay so they can work as hard as they can to do better. They send me a display when LOWES Policy is only sell the display when the items is not going to be in the store anymore. They had 6 in store and needed couple days to put it together, I waited. Went to get a wax ring for toilet with my brother in law, freaking jerk working in that area stocking merchandise, or just trying to look busy until his cigarette break asked where the wax rings were made no eye contact and acted like i was bothering him just mumbled where they were and kept feeling up the merchandise till his next smokey smoke break, normally, i would have gone off on him and told him to quit his job if he hates it so much, but i didn't want to freak my brother in law out. Going back tomorrow by myself to return merchandise, this aint over, i dislike rude people, going to recommend he take a class on customer service, or be relocated someplace with no customer interaction, perhaps just retrieving push carts in the parking lot, or picking up cigarette butts in the parking lot. read more

I have never seen such HORRIBLE customer service. From two week delayed appliance deliveries, estimated deliveries that don't show up, estimated deliveries at 11am that show up at 11:45PM on a week night, and being call- forwarded to every department in the store or wrongly call-transferred to other store locations when just needing to cancel an order.... Disaster. Have tried three times for different appliances and always have the worst experiences. I will NEVER use or recommend Lowe's again. read more

I am so mad at Lowe's, and I won't be shopping here anymore. My boyfriend and I moved to a new apartment and decided to bite the bullet and get a brand new washer and dryer pair instead of scraping the bottom of the barrel known as Craigslist. We did some research online and found a pair of Samsung frontloaders that weren't going to cost an arm and a leg. I came by in the store to buy them. I knew exactly what I wanted - the Samsung, for the sale price, plus the promotional 10% off and an extra 5% for opening a Lowe's credit card. They were advertising next-day delivery and I needed to do some laundry pretty darn quick. Well, I don't know why they have a sign that says 'Free Next Day Delivery!' if they aren't actually going to be able to deliver your items until next week. No, the items I want aren't in stock at this Lowe's and I'm going to have to wait seven days to get them. So that sign is completely meaningless. It's irritating but at least I've gotten the research and the buying portion down so I let it go. Fast forward to next week, the morning of my delivery. I took off of work to be here between 8:00 and 11:00, and I'm waiting patiently in the living room when I get a phone call. It's the delivery guy, wondering if I knew I was getting a display unit. Of course not! I paid for a brand new washer and dryer and I expected to get a brand new washer and dryer! The guy says they'll call me back. They don't. The next day I take more time off to go in to Lowe's to try and talk to an actual person. Appliance Guy spend a good twenty minutes trying to figure out what is going on before sending me home with the promise of contacting me later. Greeaatt. I do get a phone call - this time from the lady who originally sold me the appliances. She works in the cabinet department and she's the reason for the fiasco in the first place, so why not have HER call me back? Apparently I don't merit the attention of an actual manager. Cabinets Lady tells me they can offer me a deal on the display unit or 15% on the next model up of Samsung. "Fifteen percent on top of the fifteen percent I received on my original washer and dryer, or just fifteen percent?" What do you know, just fifteen percent. So Lowe's is offering me EXACTLY what I already saved on my original purchase, which boils down to offering me exactly nothing. I don't have anything against display units, but at this point I've definitely got something against Lowe's. They have wasted my time, not taken my satisfaction seriously, sold me things that don't exist, cost me vacation hours, and then insulted me with their 15% offer that I already had. And they did it all through a woman who doesn't even work in the appliances department instead of giving me at least enough respect to hear from a manager. I took my money to Best Buy instead. They guy there was way more interested in helping me. I got a better deal and left a lot happier. In the meantime, I'll be checking out Tuttle and McCoy's for my home improvement needs in the future. read more

We spend hundreds here on a regular basis, and invariably get frustrated every time we come. There are a few really helpful associates; other than that, this location sucks. It's difficult to find anyone to help you, and most times once you do, they are clueless about the items you ask about. I finally hit my limit the other day when the little snit of a cashier not only displayed the profundity of her ineptitude, but then finished it off with absolute disrespect (I'll be contacting their HQ next). We had 2 plants that didn't show the sale price when she rang them up. Not only did she not get the assistance she needed when she didn't take our word for the accurate price, but she gave attitude as she moved in slow motion. Finally, my sweetheart offered to walk another associate out to the area to show her the plants' pricing. That associate verified the pricing to our cashier, who then continued to refuse to acknowledge the mistake. Even after her fellow associate verified the price, she resisted making the correction, and argued with my sweetheart (in order not to unleash a world of humility- inducing language on the cashier, I had walked out to get the car). The cashier finally corrected the price, and grumbled about it the whole time. It was taking so long that I had come back in. It's a good thing my sweetheart checked the receipt before we walked out, because this little jerk had double charged us for an $18 extension cord. When we showed her the mistake, she argued again... never once apologized for any of it... finally refunded that amount to my card, then walked off, sarcastically saying "have a nice day." Unless I hear that their service has improved, I will go anywhere else possible to get what I need ... even if it means going a little out of my way. read more

Horrible customer service. When purchasing supplies after the #SMTXFlood TONI the cashier double charged me for some items and I asked her to remove the items so that I could get a proper total. She then asked if she suspend my current transaction and take the person begind me since it would be faster to get him through and then focus on me. I agreed and boy big mistake. TONI took the gentlemen in line behind, scanned all of his items, and then placed everything on MY Lowe's Credit card and forged a signature on the reciept. Right infront of me!!!! I told her to stop and TONI then just handed me my receipt and told me to leave. I had to get 3 managers involved to even consider getting a credit back to my card since the person behind me already left with his items therefore making it my responsibility to pay for them. Ridiculous that I have to 1) pay for double items then 2) pay for someone else's items. SCOTT HENDRICKS you need to train your employees better in customer service and how to use the register equipment. Your are obviously lacking in that department. read more

You might want to bring a Proton Pack--this Lowe's has the same ghost-town vibe of many San Marcos big box stores. In my experience, though, the employees are helpful and friendly, if you can find one (see Felicia G.'s review). As I've been learning from recent visits, avoid the retiree employees when it comes to helping you find a part or perform some other hardware job-related task--they simply don't care enough about their post-retirement part-time jobs to provide quality customer service, not that I blame them one bit. However, they can be a wealth of DIY wisdom, if you are doing a home project and need advice. The opposite is true of the young people--all pep and no experience. Keep this in mind and you'll faire well here. TIP: If the one open register has a line and you have only an item or two, ask the customer service desk if they will ring you out. If they have no customers to help, they'll take you 9/10 times. read more

Uh I actually have good news! This Lowe's experience actually did not suck! I went here yesterday because of Mike. I needed what was in aisle 33. They allowed me to take my dogs there, too, which is major since the Brodie one does not. I needed faucet covers for when there is a freeze. I just like to prepare. I am not saying we are going to have a freeze but you never know, and the Home Depot had none and told us they are not getting them until November. This Lowe's sells these year-round for $2 and under. They had a few different colors and sizes. All in all, a very high Lowe's day! read more
