I went in there after going to vato zone..,and let me tell you the difference is night and day.. Employee at the zone asked if I needed help I said I do. I was looking for a metric flare but for my alternator installation since new one didn't match. Anyways he directed me to the exhaust section. I told him, how about you look up the alternator and let me see if any of the hardware I brought is a match. That way I could nail down which metric size I needed. He said no. The alternators they sell don't have required hardware. Liar! He didn't even care to look and walked off. O Reilly same question, he pulled one out of the box and I was out of there in 5 minutes with what I need. Highly recommend this store. read more

O... O... O'Reilly's! Hours before I was to pick up a friend from the airport for a week of fun my truck sensor goes off. Beep, you're left rear blinker is out, please change it. Well crap-ola, I just got done with all my errands. Anyways the website was acting goofy so I called them up and asked if they had a light for my make/model of vehicle. Not only that, they got the part for me and it was waiting on me when I got there. This was a godsend and helped me out. My car's battery died on me and I went to this location to get a new one. I've alway felt intimidated at auto parts stores but this time was different. Gilbert greeted me when I walked through the front door and immediately set me at ease. He was super friendly and knowledgeable. Found me the battery I needed and made sure the old battery was in need of replacement. He took care of installing the new battery and ran diagnostics to ensure there were no other underlying issues. The service from the guy helping me, Robert was excellent. He went above and beyond in not only helping me but installing my new battery and getting the parts I needed quickly and effortlessly. However the 1 star review goes to the manager Howard who was extremely rude not only to me but to Robert as he was assisting me. He kept demanding that Robert do other things while he was still trying to assist me. I never heard him talk to anyone else the way he was talking to Robert while I was in the store. Other customers also witnessed this and stopped what they were doing to watch as the store was extremely busy and it was extremely unprofessional. I can only imagine how embarrassing it was for Robert who was trying to do the best to help me and remain professional. Kudos to Robert for how he handled the entire situation. The only reason I'd ever go back to this store is if Robert was working and he was the one to help me. Otherwise I will be taking my personal and professional business to auto zone or elsewhere. Employees very polite but I was told no one in the store knew how to change/mount a tire. What's the point?

Been coming here for four years. Today my husband went in bought some stuff, he was charged and he left. 30 minutes later the cops were at my door saying that they were told that he never attempted to pay and drove off with the merchandise. I had to go with the police and pay for it because he's on his way to Houston. I checked our accounts, they charged him then reversed the charge. Why would they say he didn't even attempt to pay when they obviously charged his card and registered his rewards. This situation was handled horribly. I don't know why they would out right lie to the police but we won't be returning, which sucks because we have three 2003 vehicles that need pretty constant maintenance. Just ridiculous. read more

Horrible customer service!! I bought a starter from them, put it in my car and it didn't work.. Went in to exchange it they didn't have anymore in stock and they offered me a refund. How nice was that? Then they decided to keep my old starter that I brought in when I FIRST bought a starter from them. Since they won't give me back my old starter, they also wouldn't give me a core fee back.. So now I'm out a starter and the refund they gave me they took 25.00 out of it for a core charge! So now I have to buy a starter at AutoZone and pay a core charge because O'Reilly's wouldn't give me my old starter back... O'Reilly's just lost my business!! I will be shopping at AutoZone from now on... read more

Its no wonder why this place has such a low review. If I could give it 0 stars I would. A friend and I went to replace her battery in her Jeep. When we first arrived we left the car on and asked an employee, Holly, if they replaced batteries before we turned it off in case they couldn't. She said yes. She then proceeded to go outside with us and test our battery confirming we needed the batter replaced. We bought the battery and when she brought it out she then suddenly discovered she didn't know how to replace the battery on a jeep. So we asked if should could ask if anyone else knew how and she rolled her I eyes and said she would ask. She never came back out. I then went inside extremely frustrated and said does anyone in the store know how to replace a batter on a jeep. There was ONE Rep with ONE customer. The manager Brandon then stormed out from the back yelling at me in front of the store and his employees saying that they do assist with batteries but that he was on his lunch break and all of his employees where busy. I started to ask how long it would be, he then looked down at the ground frustrated that I asked the question and I said forget it, we'll just return the battery and go somewhere else. Without anyone's hesitation in the matter, we returned the battery. Since the battery was dead we had to figure out how to jump out jeep. We had to call one of our friends in Kyle 10 mins away to help jump our car in the PARKING LOT OF O'RILEYS. When she got there a customer offered to help us, making a large scene in front of the store. NONE of the employees came out of the store. There was a total of 3 cars in the parking lot, not including ours. ONE employee walked to and from his car without even looking at us. The cables our friend brought were bad so I had no other choice then to walk back into O'reilys, wait in line and ask for one of them to jump our car. Without eye contact, the rep jumped our car and got it started. So now I have to wait a week for $165 to be retuned back into my account and drive to another town to have a my battery replaced when it could have been done in 5 minutes. I would HIGHLY suggest to anyone considering to do business with O'reilys in Kyle, TX to spend the gas and head to the O'reilys in New Braunfels. In the past, I've experience good customer service at O'reilys in New Braunfels so we hesitantly decided to give them another chance. Casey in New Braunfels greeted us immediately, tested the battery out and got everything taken care of for us in a quick and professional manner. Whatever you do, spare yourself the time and do not go to the Kyle store. That was BY FAR the WORST customer service experience I've ever encountered. read more

My Wife & I looked in this store to see if they carried any windshield sun shades . there did not appear to be any other customers in the store . two employees were standing by the register engaged in conversation , neither of them approached or greeted us in any way not even a smile .you would think that being a new store * opened 1/2 /05 * they would extend some kind of welcome to help establish a customer base . not used to/ bad / indifferant customer service ill purchase my auto parts elsewhere .. read more

They are the best!!!!! A young woman helped me put my air filters in and a light bulb inside the car. She was very polite and that was awesome itself. I will go back there for everything I need and want. Their competitor next door said they are not allowed to help. That's OK. O'Reilly did wonderful. I recommend people to buy from them. Kyle has 3 auto parts stores , all in just a few feet of each other . I will be a faithful fan of O'Reily Auto Parts now , thanks to Manny Vargas. This nice young man spent 40 minutes in the hot sun to get our headlamp fixed for us! Our car is old, and bolts and fixings were bent,rusted and just lain stubborn to get out. Many people would have just given up ; and sent us off to a mechanic where we would have spent a lot of money . We appreciate him and his determination; all done with a kind and professional manner. You don't find good employees like this everywhere !!! read more
