I purchased a Husquvarna Chain Saw from Lowe's in Seaford DE not long ago. The price seemed ok, however Lowe's does not service what they sell. This is a gas powered, 18 inch chain saw. The brake engages, as you are cutting wood and the chain flies off. Repairs, you ask? Not at Lowe's, but I did find a Hardware Store about an hour and a half round trip from my house. I've been there five times in order to have the brake released so that the saw will function. It happened again the Saturday before Easter. I'm not having it repaired AGAIN, I'm going to invest in a Stihl Chain Saw which is what I should have bought in the first place. Lowe's In Seaford Delaware sells junk. Husquvarna is a junk producer in chain saws! I hate to think what Husquvarna's lawn and garden tools are like; probably more junk! read more

Bought a dishwasher from the Pocomoke Virginia store. We also paid for the company to deliver, install and haul away the old unit. Buying the unit was fine. Lowes subcontracted for delivery and installation. The subcontractor showed up on time, installed the new unit and took the old one. The problem is they did not install the unit correctly. They failed to install a washer in the hook-up pipe resulting in a slow, consistent leak that ended up damaging the floor under the dishwasher as well as part of the kitchen. My suggestion for all of your customers - feel free to buy from Lowes, but please, please hire your own installer. For lack of spending two minutes and less than a dollar for the correct washer, Lowes' subcontractor resulted in hundreds of dollars of damage to our floor. read more

My clothes washer needed replaced. I found a replacement at the Lowes in Seaford. I did not need a sales person, had no questions just money ready to spend. I could not get waited on! The one associate on duty was searching on line for a light bulb. Two other persons were waiting along with me. After 20 minutes I went to the service desk to ask for someone to sell me the washer. The response was a curt "we are short staffed". I have never had to beg to spend money before. I certainly will never even try to spend money at this Lowes again. read more

If the store's policy for online ordering and locker pickup changed, then the store's website should have said "No Locker Pickup Available." The locker pickup service was excellent. But, sure, it may have taxed employees' time beyond reason. I get it. I hate to see it go. In-and-out served me so well. It saved me a lot of time searching for products. The last three times, I dealt with the following, not a great hardship like Putin's doings, but still a needless hassle. One, the product was in a locker, but the locker code as given on the store's pickup email did not match the respective locker. I printed it on my computer, too. The employee needed to find the correct locker number to match the code. First, though, I waited in line. Two, the product was not in a locker, requiring the employee to collect it from a backroom. Not a big deal, but not worth my time because of the time lost in line, and frustrating. Three, I don't remember what happened. Four, my last effort, silly to try, and was my last attempt at online ordering: Location: Customer Service Desk So, why not just say that the locker service is no longer available before paying online? I made an order to Lowes of Salisbury on 5/17, but received an email confirming order, but with the Easton and Seaford stores. Got text msg from Seaford store that my order would be delivered 5/29. On 5/29 received a text msg that my order would be here between 8am and 8 pm. At 9:00 am got text stated shipper (Ship XPO) would deliver between 10am and 2:00pm. Stayed here until 3:00pm called shipper, could not get ahold of Seaford store. Shipper said delivery was delayed, the order would be here between 2pm and 5 pm, but would call 30 mins before arriving. Tried to contact shipper at 5:15 pm, no answer, contacted Seaford store, finally got customer service there, asked for ref # and put me on hold for an eternity. Stayed on the line waiting for 20 mins and they line went dead. I will never order anything from Lowes again. This is ridiculous!!!! read more

I've been to this store many times in the past and I'm always satisfied. We've even had things delivered from this store with no problem. The one problem we ran into today is trying to use our digital Lowes card at checkout. The cashier tried a couple times and ultimately couldn't figure it out. I think that if Lowes is going to offer alternative ways to pay like using a digital Lowes card then they should train their cashiers on how to use it during checkout. It even said "PRESENT AT CHECKOUT". So we ended using a different method of payment that we weren't expecting, which is fine just annoying. I just wish that the employees were trained to know how to use Every method of payment including the new digital card feature!!! read more

Our water heater went up early this morning so you can imagine the moods we were in...Tom must have seen us struggling and was absolutely so pleasant and helpful with finding us everything we needed for the job. Terrible customer service. I called in to see if they had a rug that another store didn't have in stock, they had the rug, and even told me they would hold it for me until 6:30PM. I show up at 5:55/6PM and they were unable to locate the rug. The flooring specialist stated he himself put the rug "right here" *shows me where* on the sales floor. It wasn't pulled off of the sales floor at all, so it likely was sold to someone else. I go to customer service to speak to a manager and let them know my experience, and the gentleman behind the desk wouldn't put down the handheld device he was using to even speak with me. The entire time he spoke to me, he was looking down at this device. He picks up the store phone and calls someone over from the paint department (Amy maybe?). So I tell Amy(?) what happened, and Amy (?) says to me I'm not sure why they told you they'd hold the rug for you. We only hold things if it's a phone order. I told her that if I knew that's what needed to happen, I would have been more than happy to pay for it prior to getting to the store. Amy leaves to go find a manager. 20 minutes later I'm still standing at the customer service desk waiting for her to return. She never does. I had to leave to get my son dinner. And I left my cell phone with the gentleman at customer service so Amy could call me back. She never did. I called the store today and spoke with manager Jen, who put me on hold for 40 minutes to "see if they have the rug in stock" and never returned. I decided to hang up after being on hold for that entire time, and won't be spending any of my money at this Lowes location moving forward. FRUSTRATING! read more

Will, the manager, should change his name to Won't! As in WON'T provide competent customer service. Could not do the basic things required to get undamaged appliances delivered and installed. I had a great experience today buying stove and microwave. At first this store had stove that other stores didn't have and microwave was on sale, but I also would like to highlight that associates were very helpful from lady that walked by and called help for me, to the person from Plumbing section who was extremely helpful to the funny cashier).
