We should be able to leave 0 stars or negative. I went to this Lowes to get keys made for my work and as I walked by the self checkout I asked for someone to be sent to make the keys. I waited, and waited and even helped another customer find something they needed help with and then I waited. I was there for 35 minutes for keys and never got them made. They were not busy either, employees standing around useless. Fire all your staff and close this poor excuse for a store. Leadership allows this kind of customer service so start there. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE since the moment we signed our contract!! We have been waiting since May for them to come install a fence. Nobody has called me one single time to inform me of what is going on or why things are taking so long, the only time I get any information at all is after I call them- and every time I have called them I have been told different information. They have all been nice, but also the most incompetent people I have ever dealt with. Completely scripted b.s. customer service. Nearly a month after signing the contract and providing payment information, I called to get an update, just to find out that the idiot salesperson who came out still hadn't even processed the payment to start ordering our materials!? He still said everything was on track to have the job done by July or possibly August. I never even heard from them in July. On August 21st when I called them, again, I was told they still were waiting on materials. I was transferred to someone who told me they were waiting for the installer to tell them when they wanted to schedule our job. I called the following week to again be told they are waiting on (different) materials by 2 different people, and told that my city is the hold up because of the permit. I contacted my city and they told me they have tried to contact the contractor a few different times to come pay for the permit and pick it up, so I call Lowe's back to tell them this and they still try to make it seem like this is all perfectly normal and fine. To Whom It May Concern: Today, me and my fiance came in to your shop to purchase some compound mix (mud) for the dry wall. We didn't quite know where to go to find what we needed so we looked in paint where there was an associate who was helping out two other people with their needs. I stand patiently to be noticed, and I'm sure your associate did,, my fiance went to find another associate who may be able to help point us in the right direction. Your associate made eye contact with me 4 times during the event. Not once did he acknowledge my presence. Not a nod, or a "be with you in a moment sir." Instead he does a maneuver where he turns his back towards me completely ignoring my existence. As if I was just an afterthought. My fiance returns with news of the location of the item as he found someone who just took a few seconds of their time to tell us which isle the compound mix is located. We then make our way to and the associate who is ignoring me is now blocking the whole aisle. I say "excuse me" and he doesn't react whatsoever as is he's clearly intent in rudely ignoring a paying customer. I said "I just need to get by, sorry for the incovenience." Not an apology came out of that associate. He just moved out of the way as if he was trying to prove a point in front of his customers. Anyways, luckily I've found what I came for. I'm now able to continue my project. Could've done without the really bad experience though. I came to this Lowe's for a particular item. I saw a mirror on the Eureka Lowe's but all the boxes seemed returned and I didn't want to pay full price for something that it's not brand new. So I asked my husband if he would drive me to the next closest Lowe's to find this mirror and he did. We ended up here and we loved it. Associates are sooooooo nice and polite. Also their selection on bathroom items are more extensive. I didn't like that they carried Allen and Roth but not in a full set of the Harlow gold. It would make sense for all hardware in one room to be same exact color and shade. Otherwise everything went well. read more

For one item they claimed it was "marked wrong" and didn't honor the sale price on it. The other ones had to be adjusted manually, because I caught them charging me more than was tagged. Ordered a refrigerator, a freezer, a stove, and a microwave, and refrigerator arrived damaged. It was a manufacturer issue so I requested an exchange. Long story short, five phone calls, and two weeks later they pick up my fridge on a Sunday and tell me they will deliver my new fridge on a Wednesday. This is after telling me they could make an exchange on the same day so I wouldn't be without a refrigerator, which was my primary concern. Now I don't have a refrigerator for three nights and I am living out of coolers on the driveway. I politely addressed it with them and they told me they don't compensate for "inconvenience". I have to take time off work for another delivery, unpacking and leveling another refrigerator and pay for carry out as cooking and storing leftovers in coolers on the driveway isn't optimal. I was thinking $100 gift card would've been fair as they gave me $100 off the freezer because the delivery guys squeezed it through the top of my door and scratched it because they were too lazy to take the doors off. I don't know what kind of service you would get elsewhere but I know what kind of service and consideration you get from Lowe's. They don't stand behind their service and they don't care about wasting your time so long as they get paid in full. Disappointing. read more

I've been here a few times to pick up things I ordered on their website. They have some sort of internet order pick-up time guarantee, but obviously it doesn't apply to the actual checkout process. I've stood around waiting 15 minutes or more for the inept People of Lowe's to find an order I'd placed HOURS before, consciously giving them plenty of time to find my shit before I got there. The people at their customer service counter obviously don't get trained in positive positioning, addressing customers or how to answer a question without sounding rude. I live near this store and shopped here on 5/9/2020 and as you enter the store it is posted about the State of Michigan Covid19 executive order to wear masks and practice social distancing or be subjected to fines/penalties. Well I could not believe the amount of people without masks. I spoke to a manager and was told Corporate will not allow them to confront customers or request customers comply, I then asked why even post it then ? he shrugged his shoulders and said that's what Corporate told us. Lowe's uses third party contractors. The short of it is once Lowe's gets your money they can care less what happens after that. The third party contractors are going to use the cheapest junk materials they can find. I had a vinyl fence installed two years ago and it has never been right. They will not come out to fix it. I am currently looking into suing them since they refuse to do anything about it. Do yourself a favor and find a company that specializes in whatever work you need done. If you need a new fence, than find a fencing company. If you need a new kitchen find a kitchen and bath remodel store. Don't use Lowe's for any kind of contract work. All of the self checkout lanes were out of order and the lady was having trouble fixing anyone's problems. After waiting at least 10 minutes hoping they will be fixed we went on to the cashier in the only lane open, who was also having trouble with a customer. She was looking for a coworker to help her, but no one was around. After another 5 minutes we went back to the garden center to check out. Just spent over $3,500 on new stove and refrigerator at Lowes Southgate. Was supposed to be delivered on Jan 3. They called and said they oversold the items. Just had them delivered on Jan 31. They were supposed to hook up the water line and the gas oven. They delivery people arrived unprepared and with incorrect materials so they could not hook them up. I purchased some patio doors that were supposed to qualify for the 11% rebate. That was part of the salesman's pitch. I knew what I wanted and was prepared at the the time to purchase anyway so I decided take advantage of the offer. Representative was efficient, the doors came in as advertised, product good, delivery good.The rebate was rejected because they were 'special ordered' doors.The only thing that made them 'special' was that they didn't happen to stock what I needed. Personnel in the store took the time to show me how to submit for a rebate that I was never going to get. I think I will take my 'rebate' money somewhere else. read more

I bought a 54" zero degree Husqvarna riding mower there, Also purchased a 3 year extended warranty. I have had it for 6 months, I was mowing and it broke down. They picked it up and kept it for 2 weeks on the repair. They called me to pick it up, Got there and they said the fuse chip blew. a fuse is about 4 dollars. They charged me 170 dollars to change a fuse. They said it was not under the 3 year warranty. And that the fuse blew from wear and tear. The damn lawn mower was only 6 months old. The shittiest experience from any establishment. The customer service is awful, if they were not trained to be polite then they serve without manners. Purchased 5 appliances from them all in one day, was guaranteed delivery within a week of all five. Got a call confirming my items will be delivered, so I gave away my appliances so I can get my new ones, only two items came. Called and they informed me that they can deliver the rest next week, a week passed no items. Got a call from them 3 weeks later was told that I would get one of the item that week and the other two are out of stock. The most important appliance I needed would be out of stock till end of January. Nothing they could do. Contacted and tried to speak with the manager but apparently the manager was out every time I called. Got the 4th item 1.5 months later and the final one, came but it was the wrong color and had to be returned. Finally received all my appliances but with all deliveries, none of the parts to hook them up came with my items, even though they were all paid for. Called again and manager not available but nothing that they can do. 4 months to obtain the last of my appliances, no apologies from the manager. How are you guys still a running establishment?! Will be writing to higher ups since they refuse to take responsibility for the inconvenience. I gave the one star for the vendor delivery guys that was willing to help me out during the times I had to deal with Lowes' shit. I highly suggest you do not have any appliances delivered from them, just pick it up and make sure it's in stock or else they will wait to tell you that you're shit out of luck. read more

My neighbor and I were in your Southgate store on Saturday and we had the most pleasant experience with everyone we ran into. Your sales staff Steve, that works maybe just in lawn and garden had to look up flowers that we wanted to purchase that did'nt have any infor on them as to how to treat them and then we also a the nicest you man name Andy that helped us two old ladys carry out all of our purchases. We offered him a couple dollars but refused and said it was store policy but we feel that we would like to make some kind of exactknowledgement on his behalf. It was so ungodly hot and we had so much stuff to load and he did it all with a smile and was just great.
