This is your typical Lowe's with everything you could possibly need for DIY projects, home improvements, and gardening. One of my favorite sections is always the garden center. The variety of plants is fantastic, and I highly recommend checking out the clearance area. You'll often find beautiful plants that just need a little TLC, and you can leave with a basket full of great bargains for a fraction of the original price. There's also plenty of parking, making it easy to get in and out, even when buying larger items. What really stood out during my visit, though, was the phenomenal customer service. The ladies working there were absolutely outstanding--friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. Elaine was a star. Very disappointing experience. The associate helping me with my return was friendly, professional, and doing everything she could, but the store appears to be severely understaffed. I was left standing and waiting for a manager approval while the only manager available, Barbara, was assisting another customer and simply stated, "It's going to be awhile." What is especially frustrating is that the manager approval for my return would have taken less than a minute. Why couldn't Barbara step away for 30 seconds to approve the return and then continue helping the other customer? Instead, customers are left standing around waiting for what should be a routine transaction. It's hard to understand why a large Lowe's location in one of the biggest metroplexes in the country would have only one manager available to handle customer issues and approvals. The employees on the floor shouldn't have to apologize for staffing decisions beyond their control, and customers shouldn't be stuck waiting indefinitely for routine transactions. Lowe's needs to do a better job scheduling adequate management coverage. Been waiting for 20 minutes and counting.... After lunch, we decided to go to Lowes, to buy some flowers to plant in our yard. We really didn't find much to write home about but we managed to buy some plants. We purchased some marigolds and other flowers @ $1.98 each. As, I got to the register I didn't catch the band of the cashier who checked me out, nor was her name on the sales receipt, but we checked out at 1:39PM. As she began to count our plants I was trying to be helpful and tell her how many of what type of plant I had, and in a snarky attitude she remarked, "it doesn't matter the type of plants they are. They're all $1.98 each. I was taken aback by her poor attitude and I didn't help matters either when I reported, "I was just trying to be helpful". She continued being snarky and said, "you try to be nice with some people", I told her I just responded with the same attitude that you gave me. She apologized for her attitude. DO NOT buy appliances from this Lowe's location. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. We purchased a refrigerator, and every time it was supposed to be delivered, the delivery date was changed the day before. A full month after purchasing it, we still did not have our refrigerator. To make matters worse, we received completely different explanations depending on who we talked to. The store told us the refrigerator didn't make it onto the truck from the distribution center and would have to be rescheduled. Customer service, however, told us the refrigerator wasn't even in stock at the distribution center. No one seemed to know what was actually going on, and no one took ownership of fixing the problem. Robert was absolutely no help with either the refrigerator delivery or an issue we had exchanging our washer and dryer. He told us there was nothing he could do and that we had to call customer service to arrange pickup of the old unit, then come back to the store to choose a replacement. Thankfully, we visited another Lowe's location, and the associate there was shocked that we had been told that. They immediately set up a simple exchange that delivered our new washer and dryer while taking away the old unit--all within just a few days. It was clear that our original store simply didn't want to help. Lowe's management, if you're reading this, you've lost our business. We canceled our refrigerator order and will be purchasing it from Home Depot instead. I wish I could give this store zero stars. Today I was on a mission! I needed a 20 inch planter that didn't cost my right kidney and some soil for my grandmother's magnolia tree. She just passed away and a friend sent her the tree to her funeral service, I brought it home since grandpa can't care for such a massive tree. I asked one of the vendors (Brett) if he would confirm the tree species for me (it doesn't have white flowers on it like the more common magnolia) which he did. He went above and beyond in helping me carry my soil to my truck as I had my baby in tow. I didn't expect anyone to have time to help and was fully prepared to huff and puff across the parking lot but didn't have to. Customer service at this location is super! I like this Lowe's. Now, I have very small home improvement needs, I am a renter and I don't build things. I mostly come for plant and garden whatnots and random things. But here is where I think Lowe's really shines, the random things. Whether it be heavy duty command strips, an organizer for my pantry, or even a broom, I can find it very easily at Lowe's. It is a big place, but I can pull these things up on their website and it tells me exactly where it is! I walk right in and go to row 19, bay 12, and voila! Never have I been in there without at least one person asking me if they can help me find something. I needed a sink plunger at 9:30pm on a Thursday and I was able to run in and out in 4 minutes. Why we'll never spend another dime w/ Lowe's. We retiled the backsplash in our rec room bar. We used Lowe's for both the tile & install. They shipped the wrong tile to us twice. The initial installer said he lacked the skills to install mirrored tile (no problem) and had to refer a more senior team. We finally had a mirrored tile backsplash and it looked great! We rarely use our upstairs room in the summer. When we started using it again this fall we noticed numerous tiles had cracked / fallen out. I called Lowe's warranty dept. They triumphantly to me that we were 9 days past our warranty, their installer attributed it to our house shifting and there was "nothing they could do." We hired our our contractor to redo it. He suggested that mirrored tile shouldn't be used for this install and explained why. Had we known that initially we would have listened. Instead we paid twice and endured nothing but issues w/ Lowe's Lowe's CHOSE to do nothing. Home Depot has a new customer for life. From the employee who couldn't order the right tile the first 2x, to the installers not taking accountability or knowing better about the pitfalls of this install, to useless passive aggressive Kyle in Lowe's warranty dept who foolishly used his "9-day gotcha" we're done w/ Lowe's! The customer service at the store while buying a dishwasher was excellent. But all these big box stores screw up their reputation with poor installation service. The installation guy came to our home and said that the cutoff valve does not work and just left. I had to call a plumber to fix it and he basically said it's working fine. My fiance & I came in looking for a specific washing machine & she was incredibly knowledgeable about which one to get (with an agitator or without). She made the entire process a breeze & fun to take care of. She was very transparent about the delivery time. We were able to get next-day delivery but she explained things could change due to the extremely cold weather coming in. I honestly expected the delivery to be pushed back but Austin & his delivery guy came, and got the job done with great attitudes and conversation-- all under 10 minutes! I say all of this to say-- go to Sheila!! She's so spunky & knows her stuff!! Their selection of stains don't work well on cedar fences. They sold me "hot curry" with looks just awful, and later, I was searching for an odd piece of fence hardware, and found a construction materials outlet on Harry Hines blvd. that sell stains that work well on cedar fencing. Honestly, Lowes is no good at helping people with stain for cedar fences. 2 years ago, when we ordered new doors and windows from Lowes, the Lowes delivery guy refused to deliver to our door, he wanted to leave the items at the curb, and ended up refusing delivery. The next day, Lowes got another delivery who made the delivery, but I still remember that nasty delivery guy from 2 years ago. I was very happy with our whole experience. I called Lowe's previous to going there to check and see if they had bird baths. I liked how the voice answered Loews, Southlake location how can we help you? It was automated, but it was a very good system and immediately checked on my needs without giving me a lot of hours and directions. This is a bad time of year to be looking for bird baths and we had been disappointed by lack of selection and high prices at other places. We found the birdbaths and thought for sure the prices were per piece, but a nice man named Shad told us it was for both pieces and helped us pick out two good pieces and load them onto our cart. Later he met us at the checkout stand and helped us to take them to the car and loaded them for us. These are quite high heavy pieces, and we were very happy for his help He even went back for plastic for our trunk liner. We have now got home and put it up and are quite pleased with our selection. ***Update! Today (a week after the shutters were finally installed) we got an e mail from Lowe's Southlake saying an installer would be at our house today to install the shutters. The incompetence continues... We had a horrible experience here buying shutters. It was our third time buying shutters from Lowe's, second time from this particular store. When I went in to place the order the first week in September, the young lady (K) in the shutters department didn't even get up from her chair or close her phone. She repeatedly told me we went in the Lowe's system even though we'd bought thousands of dollars of merchandise from the mover the past fifteen years. At one point, I asked her if I should speak to someone else....she eventually located our account and took the order (for someone to come out and measure the windows). She told me it would take six to eight weeks, which is what we expected. We actually went back to the store to complain, something we have never done before. We were called the next day by two different shutter companies, which is not what is supposed to happen. Finally, someone actually called from Lowe's and came out and measured. He also said six to eight weeks. Eight weeks was mid November. When we didn't hear anything from Lowe's, we called them. They told us the had no record of the order. We went back and forth and finally asked for our money back. It took a little time, but they refunded our money-over $6,000. Then a couple of weeks later, we get a call from Lowe's saying our shutters are in. But Lowe's gave our installer our old address to install the shutter...in California! (We live in Texas) This is fourteen weeks later and after they've refunded our money. The same young lady who originally too, the order is now trying to straighten things out. She asked us to pay the bill before delivery. We told her when the company comes to install the shutters, we will pay in full. Sixteen weeks after placing the order, they were installed and we paid in full. We will never buy anything from this store again. Home Depot is so much better. It is very poorly run and incompetently managed. No one here knows what they are doing. read more

This is the absolute worst Lowe's in the DFW area. The employees are rude, will lie and even hang up on you if they're busy. I ordered thousands of dollars of flooring and appliances to remodel my kitchen and house with, everything delivered was severely damaged or late so it caused endless delays. When I tried to inquire about the location of my orders, I was lied to over and over. The store manager is nowhere to be found and apparently can't be bothered with customer related issues. It's clear many other employees in the store share his "above everyone" attitude. Lowe's has lost me as a customer. Stay away from assistant manager, Derek at the Southlake store. He is a total disappointment and needs to be retrained completely or find a new place to work. We had a situation today where we bought a product and brought it home. It was defective from the factory so we brought it back. We expected our money back from ordering using the Lowe's credit card and the app. Picked up the replacement, exact same item, and the cashier couldn't bring it up somehow or refund it to my credit card. That was part of the problem- the beginning of the end. We decided that the second item was not going to work after all, and brought it back. The cashier told us that we could only get store credit. We said no. It should be refunded to my credit card at Lowe's Store Credit is not acceptable or an option for us. The assistant manager Derek was called. He gave us 1 million reasons why it had to be an in-store credit only. Here we were standing with a receipt and we have purchased this through the Lowe's app with the Lowe's credit card and he has no reason to deny us a refund. He said in-store credit is the only thing we can do for you. He gave wishy-washy excuses. We asked to talk to the manager and he said he's not allowed to Call the manager, but he can give us a manager's phone number. The phone number he gave me was to Home Depot. I stood right in front of him at the counter and dialed the number (thankfully). He wanted us to get out of there and go home and call the number. Well, ha ha for him. I called him on his ridiculous phone number Ploy. He gave me a different number and this time it was a Medicare Medicaid number. I was still standing in front of him and told him he's now lied to me twice. Finally he decided to find a phone number and hiding halfway under the front counter; called someone and was able to give us a cash refund after all! Shame on him, for treating customers in this manner. I was a strong customer who stood up to his lies and his BS! There would be a lot of people that would've taken his fictitious phone number and gone home. Then they would dial Home Depot or Medicaid Medicare baloney phone lines and still not have their situation resolved. In store credit is not what you get when you have receipts for your product! The manager hiding and not being on the floor of the store or available during a business day is a mystery to me. Be AWARE ...if you open a credit card through Lowes and make any type of mistake your card will be canceled and reported to the credit bureau! Our checking account was hacked and we had to close everything and reopen new accounts. Before we could change all of the auto payments we had set up, our Lowes payment went through and was declined. My husband fixed it and made the payment immediately. They then closed our account!!! That is their policy ONE mistake! We called and explained....didn't matter. We have had the account for 15 years, have never been late and have spent thousands of dollars . We have excellent credit....none of it matters, that's their policy....just BEAWARE!!! read more

In the middle of 2019 we ordered windows for our home. They came in and were installed in September. The problem is 4 windows came in incorrectly and could not be installed. Unimportant to Lowes, but very important to my husband and I. They reordered the four windows that came in wrong and three came in, but they were all the wrong color. Today they came to finally install the four windows and they are wrong again. This means they will have to be re-ordered for a fourth time. No one cares at Lowes or Milgard, the manufacturer. We spent $50,000 on windows last June and the job is still not complete. I spoke with the store manager David Mims about 6 weeks ago on a Friday and he told me he would call me back on Monday. STAY AWAY from this store if buying appliances. I was not home when the new fridge was delivered. The delivery person pulled out our old fridge to disconnect the water line and dumped transmission fluid on the floor when my wife was not looking. He then proceeded to tell her that she was NOT allowed to resell the fridge because of the red fluid leak. The fridge works perfectly, it is only 4 years old, we paid $4,000 for it (we just needed a larger fridge). Out of the kindness of his heart, he offered to "remove" the old fridge for us "at no charge". Luckily I arrived home in time to put an end to their scam. Who knows how many appliances these guys have scammed innocent people out of. I did call the store, spoke to a manager that promised to call back within 24 hours and "make this right".... that was 48 hours ago. I doubt he'll be calling. DON'T GET SCAMMED. It is strange how much I love the hardware store. I am into gardening this year, so I've spent a great deal of time looking at plants. I also enjoy fixing things around the house, and some tools and supplies cross over into my crafting hobbies. I have had trouble getting help at this location. There was one very nice woman in customer service, but she didn't know enough and needed the help of another woman (whom I've encountered before) is abrasive with regard to her uninformed status. She's one of those who talks the whole time about not thinking something is a thing, or someplace, the whole time the other rep is trying to help you, ostensibly hoping you'll give up and go away, until someone who actually knows walks over and gets it right away, helping the first cashier you originally asked. (This was the same woman who messed up a brand new cashier trying to check us out because the garden center closes here while you're still shopping in it :/) Also, they shut down the self checkout at 9pm and make everyone stand in line for the one cash register, and then staff it with a new hire :/ Bad decisions, but for the most part, thankfully, because of the app, I can look up the location of what I need, customer testimonials, how to instructions, stock, quantity, etc. And I know to come in in the middle of the evening, so I am able to successfully navigate this store's quirks. Best advice is to use the app to navigate the store and get in and out before 8am and about an hour after they open and you'll be good. If you need something that's "in the cage" go to the Euless store instead. Oh! And on Sundays, they open and close an hour later/earlier. I woke up one morning think it was Saturday when actually it was Sunday, also forgetting to check my app. A very nice manager opened the door at 13 minutes to go, to tell me they weren't open yet, but this was after I had turned back around after having walked after having read the sin on the door for myself. Thinking he was going to be nice and let me in, I smiled and walked back just before he closed the door in my face. I left and did not come back until later that day. There was another incident with rude guys who little lady's my mother and I, but thankfully the one guy who knows everything walked up just in time to save us. Well let me take that back...they were not even aware they could price match an online retailer. We even had the policy to show them and it clearly states that they do price match Amazon.com IF it is shipped and sold by Amazon. We showed them the link but they kept arguing that it was not sold by amazon and that it was sold by a third party. The employee was rude and snatched (maybe not snatched but grabbed it in a rude way) the phone out of my husband's hand to look at what he was trying to show them. The link clearly said shipped and sold by Amazon. The manager never came out to help these two employees to verify. This is not the only time we have received this kind of service. This is the worst lowes I've ever visited. I went there for a very similar pvc issue and left with nothing. I went to the isle and no one was near plumbing. I went to an adjacent isle and found a guy working with keys and a red vest and asked for assistance he told me he knew nothing about pvc and this happened again with someone else. I then decided to go to Customer service to ask for someone to be sent there. I waited and no one came. So I went back to Customer service and asked for a manager and guess what there was no manager at the store or at least that was what I was told. So I asked for the district managers Information guess what no one knew that at all. So I left . No one help or even tried. This place is absolute trash. I'll never return. Actually I'll usually stop in here for a quick price check, then check out the Home Depot further west on 1709, and if Lowe's won the price war, I'll actually stop in at the Lowe's on Rufe Snow and North Tarrant Parkway. Made an online order. It would be shipped and delivered in 2 day by 3 to 4pm which is the time the associate told me. On day of delivery after 6pm theres been no delivery and when i contacted lowes about tracking the order, lowes cant track or locate the order. All lowes can see is that the order has been picked up by an unknown driver and it cant be tracked and cant locate the drivers info. They are pretty good on having in stock what I am looking for and in decent quality product. The only complaint I have is with the management. I have had issues that required me to leave a message for the General Manager. He has never returned one message. I worked around him to get our business taken care of, but it is apparent he could care less for our business. I shop here alot and no more. I did not even read the past reviews but every time I shopped here, you get the feeling it that the business is not about customer service. I usually go to this place vs its competitor but will start shopping at its competition. For me, the past reviews it has been on the principle more than anything else. Lowe's has a 90 day return policy so regardless after 90 days it is no refund or store credit which I would taken. So I take my items to the store and go up the "friendly" customer returns desk and this friendly customer service lady greets and you can see it in her eyes reading verbal ques she was all too glad to help me. I will give her credit that she did look into the account and it was past ninety days which I told her it likely was past ninety days. After confirming that, I grabbed my items and she yelled out "have a nice day". To me that was a sorta demeaning statement based on what I saw on her prior demeanor whether that was her intent or not. I based on the initial demeanor and leading up to the finality. I am no Karen by any means but amazed how people can be so silly which is a very nice way of putting it especially in these times where getting every potential business may help. Even the rules where of giving store credit can add to increased business. For me like I said was not the financial impact but the main principle as one should consider for future business with a customer or continued customer. Good selection, but make sure you use the app if you need to find something. I used to come here so much more, but have been so dissatisfied with service that I try and go to the Keller location now. The paint service section has been the worse. I've repainted the interior of the entire house with Lowe's and have now moved on to smaller projects and they have been so preoccupied. I thought it was because they have been busy, but someone came to get on to them for not doing anything.
