Bought the "hassle free warranty" got hassled for 40 minutes to do an exchange! Horrible service

The service sucks. Every time I go here I have to search for help. One time I literally stood next to the desk at the bathroom area for 45 minutes without help. I checked in with yen to let them know I needed help and then waited patiently until he finished with his guest. When he was done he left the desk area and never came back. Another person came to help and then helped someone else who had just walked up even though I was waiting over 45 minutes. Went another time and needed something for my sprinklers in April. It took them 30minutes to find someone that could help. By yeh time they got there, there were another 4 people in the section that needed help. I mean, how could you ever predict that in April, the sprinkler section might be a section that you need to have people available. Every time I go I feel like I need a penis to get good service. It's sad that I have a business credit card for LOWES and the only time I get service here (when people offer to help) is when I am in my business attire. Tonight I came in with my sweats and jacket...and in 22 minutes - not one employee offered to help. However, they would blatantly offer help to people in behind me. I actually would stop in the middle of the isle and look lost while an employee would walk by - and yet...no one offered help. Tonight's experience was a great disappointment. My apartment is filled with furnitures, frames etc from LOWES. So obviously I'm not totally against LOWES...just the selective customer service tonight. In other news: Supplies: They however have a great selection of supplies from paint, electrical, gardening, kitchen ware and many more. I love the kitchen section with different stoves, cabinets, and counter tops. It really gives you a visual of what your kitchen should look like. The lighting section has a variation of choices. Ceiling lights, wall lights or table top lights...I love that right next to this section holds frames. I bought 5 frames here that are now hanging in my living room. Parking: Big parking lot - no need to worry about space. Price: I find the prices here at a decent value. Not the most expensive but also not cheap. read more

In September, I purchased two glass frameless shower doors and hired them to install them. For the first appointment the installer did not show up for measurements. The second appointment he came 4 hours late. He then ordered doors and we waited six weeks for delivery. The doors came in and both were the incorrect size, not even close! The installer, Pavel with Cascade Installers, stated that we the owners must have overridden his measurements because he doesn't make mistakes. Not sure how he came to that conclusion. However we went ahead and re-ordered the custom doors in the correct size this time. The second set of doors arrived the first week of November, Pavel and his crew broke both doors trying to install them. At this point the install manager got involved and rush ordered another set of custom glass shower doors($4k worth of product to get us doors asap). Those doors arrived on December 2. By December 3rd I had received a couple of phone calls from Lowe's warehouse asking why the installer had not picked up the doors yet or scheduled me for install. So I texted the installer trying to get this figured out. Thursday, December 10 the install manager called me and said that the installer was refusing to install the shower doors, she said well actually he doesn't even have a crew so he can't install frameless anyway. It's not a one-man job. At this point my husband and I are wondering what we paid $1200 for install in September for. The entire thing is completely unprofessional, a waste of time and expensive. At this point we are going to hire our own private installer. Lowes has agreed to refund us the $1200 but only onto a gift card that we can use at their store. I do not believe that this is OK! I just won't do business with a company that treats people like this. read more

I am a loyalty customer and bought a garage door and opener. They managed to get it on the delivery Schedule for 8 days from now WAY TO LONG!. So my crew was her to put it up. i get a call that morning and they said sorry but we can't deliver it until 5 days from now. ,what they dont figure in is that when people order something and expect it on a certain day. They usually are going to install it knowing it will be here. This manager didn't know that just earlier that morning I got a call saying they couldn't deliver it and they would deliver it tomorrow so maybe tomorrow, so my guys showed up and that cost money. then there employees gather around the front door and chitchat back-and-forth they use dirty rags to clean your counters, what are they thinking. They use a dirty old rag to wipe around all the Covid they are unsanitary they don't clean their self checkouts. Just don't seem like they care about their customers at all or want to be helpful or nice to the customers it's just a drag going there. So i try to mostly go to the East valley lowes and deal with Ben at the pro desk. He is so helpful and nice. Does his job well. He deserves a raise. There's no comparison from Ben to these other employees. read more

Very poor customer service. I had a minor problem with my snowblower. One of the prongs broke of where the electric cord connects to the electric starter. It was still under warranty so I took it in to have it fixed at Lowes on Division. I dropped it off on 8/26/21 and was told that it could take up to six weeks before it was fixed. I told them just call me when its ready. It was over 6 weeks,I called them on October the 8, 13 and 21 to check if it was done yet. Customer service said they did not get it back yet. I called the repair shop and found out that it was completed and returned on 9/23/21. I called to speak to the manager, talked to Cody about it. He said that he would check and get back with me, he never called back. I kept calling and the phone kept ringing but no one answered. I called customer service to tell him to call me back, he never called back. I had to go down in person to speak to him. I got my snow blower back on the 28, they had it the whole time and kept telling me they didn't. I tried to start it and it did not start. I returned it on the 30. The manager gave me a refund but did not even apologize to me. Also, when I ask employees where certain things are some don't know. Others say it is in number so and so. When I go there the product I'm looking for is not even there. Some of the employees are rude others don't know where certain items are. I am no longer going to shop there. I was looking at electric fireplaces, they had a few on display heavily discounted! They had a nice variety of them to choose from. They wrapped up the fireplace to keep it safe for transport and loaded it up for me. It really warms up my front room well and is a nice quality product! Great service all around and caring staff! Saturday afternoon at 1230 in the garden center buying seeds and dirt, 4th in line..behind a cart with an electric stove, two ladies with a cart of plywood and 1bag of dirt, and a couple buying garden items....checker had no idea how to handle the stove and called for help...they moved off to the side after 5 minutes....now about 8 others in line.....next lumber....they don't know what kind of plywood and neither does the checker....5 more minutes, still not moving...another call for help and more people in line........now guy comes back with papers for stove and the checker steps out and yells at us " You might want to go somewhere else, I am going to be a while with the stove guy" My wife and I have now been in line 10-15 minutes easy.... I have never been more disguisted ....Can you imagine treating customers that way, I am sure they would not had they been locked down like a mom and pop store.....This is not the first time Lowe's has disappointed, but will be the last for me. I have been waiting sense march when I put an order in for fencing (takes 5 days to ship the materials to the store) it's now may 6th and nobody can seem to give me a solid day when my fence will be started! It's very frustrating and I'm on the verge of cancelling my order! I could have had this done by another company way sooner if I had known lows is going to take their sweet ass time! Every time I call I get the " I'm sorry let me call the installers for you" and I never hear from them again! Although there has been some great experiences with some of the employees a majority of the experiences have been very poor. The customer service is incredibly lacking: it's difficult to find someone to help, if you do find someone that can help their body language is typically so off putting that you try to find someone else, or you receive very limited help. Do not expect anyone to go out of their way to offer service and if they do they are definitely one of the few exceptional employees. Don't even get me started don how confusing the isles are, I won't even go into that. Again, I want to make clear that I have had some really great service from some of the employees but it's overshadowed by majority. read more

You might have to call their regional office to get anything done with this store. I called the store multiple times to get an update on my delivery and was never able to be transferred to the appliance or delivery sections. When I was, they just transferred me back to customer service. After a few rounds of back and forth to customer service, I asked to talk to a supervisor and got the run around saying customer service would let them know to call me back. Never happened. After a couple days of not getting through to anyone I called again to try to talk to someone and never got through so I asked to talk to the store manager and they hung up on me. I wish I didn't have to resort to being "that customer" but at this point, what else is there to do? I called their regional office, spoke to a rep who had to call the store directly to see what's going on. After a few minutes she assured me one of the managers would call me and set up a new delivery time. The manager called after an hour or so and put us as the first stop the next day. Horrible experience but I will say if you can work with Cody in appliances you should absolutely do so. He seemed to be the only one in there that actually made the effort to contact me and help out. read more

Treating Vets like garbage. I went to check out at Lowe's garden section. I showed my ID (Vet status). After a mumble of Thank you for your service, I was told is great detail that I had to register on My Lowe's on line or go to customer service. This process took no less than 10 minutes while two Lowe's employees debated on weather or not I would even get a discount on sale items. People behind were toe tapping and grumbling(I was too). It was humiliating. After getting my receipt I went to customer service. The lady spoke to me as if I had stolen from them. I was dismissed (no sorry, no acknowledgement of a confusing system). I needed to register on line. Another publicly humiliating moment. My question is, why do I need to give Lowe's my personal information to get a lousy 10% off. While it's published everywhere they offer this great discount, beware. The treatment you have to go through may not be worth it. : read more

Unfortunately they are the closest store to me. Used to be great customer service. Now hard to find help much of the time. Two weeks ago employees told me on the phone that they personally laid eyes on the dishwasher I wanted (website said it was there). Showed up and after an hour wait they Staff cannot be trusted on the phone, they readily lie about checking for what I want, then when I show up somehow the product isn't there. Also, I have learned after a dozen trips to the garden department. If you buy something they need to load into your truck, buy it, wait until they call help for you, wait 5 minutes and call customer service to demand immediate assistance. Otherwise, plan on playing games on your phone for 20-30 minutes and additional requests that they find someone to...unlock a gate, authorize a forklift, get a second employee to help heavy item lifting...etc. read more

We went to buy a washer and dryer and the two people in the appliance section completely ignored us. Luckily, we got help from Anthony who didn't work in that section. He was extremely helpful and nice. He looked back and forth for what we want. At one point we over heard the older lady ask him "if he was still stuck with us" and that she didn't want to help us. April 6, 2017 I signed a contract with lowes to replace a picture window for 606.54 with a 20 year warranty and to replace the window sill on opening a lowes credit card with 0% financing for 12 months. This was with danny roe the employee of lowes. They approved the credit card for this purchase Danny said they would be replacing the window within 3 weeks About april about april 14 the installer came out to measure window and said it would be another 800.00 to replace the window sill, I said no I called danny roe and told him what the installer said he said he would get another installer and to give him another week (which would be april 21) May 1st I called danny again and he said one more week and he would work on it and get it installed he said the sill would be another 50.00 so I agreed to just get it done May 14 I recd a letter from the credit card company informing me that they had charged my card the 660.05 606.54 and 50.00 does not equal 656.54 and they gave me 6 mo no interest instead of 12 mo no interest. We also learned that window that was supposed to be ordered april 7 was only ordered about may 16th and was not ready yet May 20 my daughter and I went to lowes in person and spoke with kurt herrington, assistant store manager. He was informed about what was going on and made an agreement with me in writing that after the installation he would refund 150.00 of my money that was charged to the card and change it to 12 mo no interest and they would replace the window sill and they would do it within 2 weeks May 29 the installer came out and said they would put a cover over the existing window sill and that the window is now ready and the soonest he could install was june 22 at 8 in the morning then he called me back and said he was busy in the morning and would do it in the afternoon, then he said he would have to contact lowes about the sill and that he couldn't give me a time when the window will be installed. May 30 I called lowes and informed them that I would not accept a cover over the rotting wood and that I was ready to contact angies list, better business bureau, and if necessary sue them. I spoke with a store manager Jennifer May 30 I reced a call from store manager nick and was informed that since I said the word "lawyer" that lowes would not honor the contract and that his contract says window sill covering. I informed nick that my contract does not say that. Nick also told me I have to accept the time frame they say So today I will be making the first payment on the balance on the lowes credit card balance (to protect my credit) and I have been basically told by lowes tough luck and I still don't have a window or a time for the window to be installed So basically I am making credit card payments for a charge that is more than the last agreed price and for 6 mo no interest instead of 12 mo no interest and I still don't have the product or service or a time set for the service and product to be done I am pretty sure it is illegal to charge someone for service that has not been performed and there is not time set to perform it. Lowes is one of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with and I will not be shopping at their store anymore. I am posting this to angies list, home advisor, facebook, the better business bureau , etc I am a 64 yr old woman on a fixed income and cant believe the way this store and company have treated me. read more

In the battle of Lowe's v. HD... I am a fan of both. More of what is closer to me than anything else. Lowe's does feel brighter overall on the inside and more 'average joe' friendly. Carries the major brands, Makita, DeWalt, etc. and basically almost anything you could use for your home and garden. This location is on the newer side, recently relocating itself from a block away. Although, for materials, you could probably do better on pricing at other specialty stores, for convenience and comfort, I keep coming back. read more

I recently ordered an overhead lamp from Lowes and had it shipped to my home, as we live far from a Lowes store. When we received the package the lamp was broken I immediately took a picture of the damage and called Lowes customer service. They told me this was ordered from a 3rd party n I was responsible for shipping it back and reordering a new lamp or I could take it to a Lowes store for credit and they Lowes does not carry this lamp. If I had wanted to order from a 3rd party I would have and if I had wanted to go to a Lowes store I would have driven the 200 miles originally. No customer service at all. This place is a joke. I have ordered from Amazon many times as we live quite a distance from town. They have never given me the run around Lowes did today and immediately credit your account or replace the item. We bought a refrigerator Friday. They couldn't deliver it until Wednesday. Tuesday night they called to give me a delivery window from 2 to 6pm. I called back to ask if I could reschedule for Thursday because of a work conflict. They said no the earliest delivery could not be until Sunday-Memorial Day weekend. We didn't have a refrigerator so I agreed to stay home from work and reschedule my work appointments to later that evening. Wednesday night at 6:30 still no word from Lowes. I called and talked to the delivery department. I was told they didn't know where the delivery guy was but to assume he was running late. I asked for an immediate call back because I know had appointments I needed to get to. They never called me back. However they left a message for my husband at 8:15 saying they wouldn't be able to do the delivery until the following morning. He said first delivery of the morning between 10am and 12pm. He said we just needed to call them back to approve this new delivery time. Two things wrong here....1. the delivery department just got done telling me they start at 8am! 2. My husband called back 30 seconds after the message was left and was told delivery department was closed. Because of this I had to take two days off work. Any money saved for a "so called Memorial Day sale" was lost from TWO days off work. I am furious! Horrible customer service..We could have paid the same price across the street at Home Depot and got the delivery the next day as PROMISED...I'm tempted to return it and give my business to Home Depot. They seem to actually want to help. read more

I went to buy one bag of leveling sand at 8:30 pm on a wednesday. Intially i asked a non busy cashier to direct me. She pointed me to the tools section. I went that direction, didnt find the sand. I asked another cashier in the area and he told me to go down the isle to get it. I went to the isle where there were multiple types of sand, i was confused. I asked him, the same cashier, to call someone to help me. He didnt. I then found another worker, down the isle to call someone to help me. He told me to ask the cashier, who i had already spoken with twice. I asked again, stating i already asked him for help. He said to ask him again. I went back a third time, he pointed to his computer screen and said "this one". I went to the isle and it was out of stock on the floor. After waiting in line, again, he said "oh it is in the garden section, you can go over there." I left and I wont be coming back. I will try home depot from now on. read more

Communications for my $7,000+ order has been horrendous- both the national customer service which has 2-3 hour wait times, but the local store where I have gotten the run around over my delivery. I won't go into the nightmare it was to get this order online since it's not the store. My order was to be delivered last week. When no one called with delivery time, I called the store and was informed it was now scheduled two weeks later. No one bothered to call me. They checked and saw it was delayed because one item (which itself was over $2,000 and could have been delivered separately) didn't arrive until that night. She was able to change my delivery to today. When today I did not receive a call, I tried the store for over an hour- never getting an answer in delivery. Finally, customer service connected me to a manager who could check. He informed me the delivery was scheduled for next week. I told him that's not acceptable- my contractor is leaving next week. He made a number of excuses and there is no compromise since they only deliver to my area once a week. Then he had the nerve to tell me no one from his store would have told me it was today. Like I didn't know who I had called or what they said! At this point I lost it and unfortunately swore at the man. He hung up on me. And although my behavior could have been better, as a business, that was unacceptable. If it wouldn't be a nightmare to cancel the order and hope I get a refund, I would. I will, however, never shop at Lowe's again- and I have been a loyal customer for many years. read more

Avoid this store!!! The customer service at this location has gone SO far downhill in the last 6 months. Every single employee you ask for help acts completely put out, rude, and annoyed that they are working. Even getting paint mixed seems to be an inconvenience for the employees working behind the paint counter. Their job is literally to MIX PAINT. I'm not sure how they could be so bothered by being asked to do their jobs. Tonight we purchased a new lawnmower. After walking around for 10 minutes we finally found someone and told him we needed help with a mower. He walked over and said "well which one do you want?" And we told him we had some questions as it is a large purchase. He answered them very rudely and it was obvious he had better places to be (probably back to standing around chatting with his coworkers where we found him). We decided on a mower and then asked if we should wait for it up front as it is a large box. The employee said "no you have to go get a cart outside and get it down." And walked away. Seriously?! So my husband and I went across the parking lot to get a cart because there were none inside (I guess they're too lazy to bring the carts in too) and got the mower down ourselves. I've always been a loyal Lowe's customer over Home Depot but lately I've been choosing Home Depot more and more. Avoid this store at all costs. read more

Received a 10% coupon in the mail and used it to buy light fixtures. The main chandelier was defective when I tried to install. Took it back and got a different one and took it and the bulbs to the front. I asked for the same 10% off my purchase and showed the original receipt that confirmed the original discount, the time -about 2 hours later, and the return. The nice enough lady said she couldn't give me the same discount that she could lose her job if she did. Really, front line people can't make a simple decision to take care of customers. I think I can find another place that doesn't involve bad products and bad customer service. read more

Negative 5 Stars. I ordered a portable generator from N. Division Lowe's to put to work on a job the following week. I kept trying to check on the delivery status, but no one there knew anything. They kept saying they'd contact the distribution center and let me know, but they never got back to me. Turns out, the generator never even shipped. These people completely botched the order. I really needed that generator, and they put me in a bind with their incompetence and horrible customer service. They're a bunch of idiots. I'm done with Lowe's altogether. I bought laminate flooring this summer for about 800 square feet. Since I have never put down flooring I bought extra; unfortunately it was six boxes extra. Because it was myself and my daughters that put the flooring down during weekends it took a lot of time to do the four rooms. What nobody told me, and what is NOT on my receipt, is that they have a 90 day return policy. When I tried to return the excess flooring after 4 months they refused. Four boxes (I was keeping 2 in case I needed it in the future) at about $20 per box is $80. Doesn't sound like much but for a single mom with two kids to support every dollar is important. If you don't know how long it is going to take you to do a project, don't go through Lowe's - they don't tell you that you have a limited time to return. AT LEAST put the 90 days on the receipt so there is a reference. In my job, if it is not written down then it is not a FACT, and can not be used in a decision. They failed to provide all the information, and then hold customers accountable. That is bad customer service. read more

Of all the locations in town this is the best. It is hard to find help most of the time but when we can find it the people are friendly and they try their best. We appreciate their military discount on everything, even sale and clearance items (Unlike HD which is really limiting their military discount). Service is subpar. Hard to find someone who knows what they are doing or talking about. Cancelled a $750 order with install because no one showed up at the scheduled date which had already been rescheduled by the installer due to a screw up on their side. Installer, S&J Your Home Your Way, never called or apologized for the failure to show. Lowes never offered recompense for the inconvenience. I just received a verbal apology as I took my money back to go elsewhere. I won't be shopping at Lowes any more. Yes, I got my money back. I expect that, but I would hope that they would want to keep customers by at least trying to make things right rather than continuing to provide shoddy service. I put a lot of effort into big purchases regarding what to get and where I can get the best price, so I expect the same or better from the store I use. Now I have to start all over again, but you can bet it won't be at Lowes! Apparently they don't really care about making it right more than just making it go away. read more
