I purchased windows here, simply because I couldn't get anybody capable of ordering them the 3 times I went to Home Depot...they were always on break, and nobody else in the store could operate the system. The gentleman that helped me at Lowe's with the order was friendly and the order was delivered on time. So why the 2 star review? Because I had a problem with one of the expansion headers being damaged (which is a little $5 piece of extruded plastic that you place on top of the replacement window to fill the gap), and 2 phone calls and 3 trips to Lowe's later, I still don't have my part. Come on Lowe's, I spent $1200+ on windows and this experience might just drive me back to Home Depot. How hard is it for a home improvement company to provide decent customer service...apparently impossibly hard! read more

I am very disappointed and Lowe's Home Improvement and the granite company that they work with premier. In July my husband and I went to Lowe's and set up a kitchen Improvement install. Nothing went as planned. They installed the granite and things begin to look like they might be okay however our stove top did not fit because the granite guys did not measure correctly. Then they sent out a 12 year old to do a backsplash with no truck and no tools. So needless to say it took them 3 days to do the backsplash and we still at this date September 16th do not have a stove top I did talk to them today and they told me they would try to "fit me in" for an install that should have been finished weeks ago. Of course we are already obligated to pay for all of this. So they are in no hurry now to finish the job. I would not recommend these people at all not even one star read more

Nice new Lowe's and there's ample parking. They do have a good selection and we were able to find the items we were looking for. Only problem is just like most Lowe's you can barely find anyone if you do have a question. read more

Went to Lowe's today. There was not any customer assistance today. Thankfully, we found Malita!! We needed 15 boxes of brick loaded and 5 of them were on the highest shelf. She loaded all of the boxes, even off the top shelf. I went to another associate to ask for help for her and no one came. The few people we did see were trying to look busy but no help. Incompetent!!!! I am in the process of renovating a property in the area and have been to the store several times over the past 2 months. Their incompetence does not cease to amaze me. 1) Plumbing-Tried to purchase item that showed over 30 in stock. Went to store it was not on shelf. Floor person told me " Computer is wrong and if it is not on shelf, it's not in store". Lesson learned: Don't trust website 2) Have met several cashiers with attitudes. One incident in particular: We were ready to buy a tool and discovered the word " Return" written on box. Also, the box appeared tampered with. This tool was not on sale. So, we decided to walk back and pick up another tool. However, cashier snapped an attitude and went on how there was nothing wrong with it. He was an older guy with a beard and looked like an angry Santa Claus. We did not want to buy a new power tool with the word " return" written on it in a box that had obviously been opened. There was no reason for this guy going off on us. The tool was retail price and we just wanted one that had not been toyed with. This was not the only time I have encountered a belligerent cashier. Suggestion for manager: If it is a non issue-Train cashiers to calm themselves down. 3) Painting- After using 2 gallons of paint on a room, I brought back my dried out lid with bar code and label, assuming it would be easy. It took 2 people 5 minutes to concoct my gallon of Valspar. Before getting these individuals to mix my paint, it took a while to find them. I went there to just get 1 gallon of paint. The time it took to walk into the store, get paint, and check out 30 minutes. Then I started painting with the paint and it was not a match. It messed up my wall and I lost a day of productivity. The assumption is, if you give the person in the paint department the lid with a bar code, description, and dried paint on the other side, it should be a match. The lid was from paint I purchased at this location a few weeks prior. I have been rehabbing properties for over 20 yrs and have always used the dried out lid without any problem. Lesson learned: When purchasing paint go to the people in the orange building and buy Behr. read more

Poor communication between Lowe's and delivery service. They do not coordinate with each other. Bad shipments are missing half the equipment. The deliverymen simply follow the order sheet, which somehow excludes items I already paid for. Lowe's needs to either hire a new delivery company or provide better training and more qualified employees. read more

Purchased several Items (Major Appliances) and even paid for installation. They had to be micro managed every step of the way. The fail to even meet the basic understanding of what they offer to the customer. So after three conversations on three different occasions and each time it was an omission of bad service and lack of knowledge. we still sit here without our appliances and installation...Jim the store managers listen and then you get a call from Johnny who explains why we are here at the island of bad service. This store is reviews are over inflated. No excuse for not knowing there install policy and what can and can't be done.. now that being said lets see if it gets better.. read more

I would Give it Zero if I could! Not going to go into all the dramaful detail, But I spend on average 300k per year in Lowes. I have never experienced the worst customer service and time wasting attitudes as I have experienced with this Lowes! Long story Short , Purchased an Item to deliver from another store and the new system they have pulls the item from the closest location for convenience. well When they pulled it from this lowes, Barry The store Manager has canceled the Order twice because the price was different in his store.Huh? I would have happily picked it up if needed from the store i order, system forces to the closest store which is the Bullying store that wont ship , lies and makes excuses! Went to Lowe's to get a dishwasher that they did have in stock. First tried Buford location, but they were sold out of the model we wanted. The Lawrenceville-Suwanee location had 3 of them in stock, but no person working in the appliance department. When we finally hunted someone down, the gentleman couldn't help us, but told us to go to customer service and they should be able to assist with the purchase. Customer service desk told us they couldn't help us either, but suggested we call the 800 number. So here I am sitting in the store in the empty of employees appliance department talking to 800 customer service for assistance with buying a dishwasher that's available at this specific location. I have NEVER seen this many people standing around doing nothing, or should I say going out if their way to NOT help the customer and NOT to sell their merchandise. Lowe's, are you in the merchandise moving or storage business?!?! read more

Lowe's of Suwanee store#2908. I was at this location on my lunch break looking for a 20V drill. I was in the tool section for about 15 mins. I saw the price tag for the drill I wanted, but no drill. I wondered around the tool section then towards the registers looking for assistance. Rosetta was heading to her lunch break & stopped & asked me did I need assistance. She then paged someone. I was in a rush so she looked in the computer & turned out that the drill I wanted was sold out & more were on order. Thank you so much Rosetta for taking time on your way to lunch to help me! It was very much appreciated! Great customer service! Very polite & knowledgeable! Thank you! PS. The reason I am giving 4 out of 5 stars is because before Rosetta assisted me, a cashier asked me did I need help & told me to walk back over to the tool section & someone would help me...after I had been waiting around the tool section for 15 mins waiting on someone to help me. If it wasn't for Rosetta saving the day, I would have only given 1 star. Thanks again Rosetta! You are an asset to the Lowe's team for sure! read more

I hired Lowe's for a fencing job (materials + labor installation + related cleanup). I paid all the money up front more than 1 month ago. They said it will take 2 weeks for the order to come in and for the job to be finished. They also said they would have professional installers and all the right equipment. 2 weeks passed by and nothing happened. It's been 6 weeks now and they just now delivered to me part of the materials (not even all). I have been calling customer service and Lowe's installation sales again and again. No answer. I kept calling the Lowe's agent/salesman that sold me the job. No answer. Just today (more than 6 weeks after I placed the order) 2 handymen from Lowe's came by and removed 2-3 sections of my old fence. Then they looked at the rest of the work that needed to be done and said "This is not the type of work we do," "We don't know how to do this." Etc. They didn't have any equipment with them. I asked them "where is your equipment?" They said, "It's too much money," And then they just left. They left the pieces that they removed - scattered in my yard - and they left my whole backyard exposed. Now I'm thinking I'm getting swindled by Lowe's. They are not professional contractors at all. I regret not going to The Home Depot or a professional fencing company. I spent all this money just to buy a headache from Lowe's - not a professional fencing job. If I had known this is the kind of service I was paying for, I would have thought twice. Thinking maybe I need to call a law attorney now. I normally automatically defer any hardware shopping needs to Home Depot. Why? Because after ten years of living in the area, and having a choice between the two companies, I will always do better at Home Depot. The staff at Lowes are unknowledgeable, not particularly friendly, and in general, Lowes can't match the selection offered at HD. I recently needed a new single-brew coffee brewer. Spent time online comparing prices, and almost went with Home Depot. They offered to have in my hands in a week, but I'd pay $6 more than I would if I had bought the same thing at Lowes. I decided to go cheap even though I knew it would take a lot longer to get it. At the time, the decision was worth the savings. Ordered the brewer online on Aug. 5th. Was told it wouldn't be at this store until the 21st. On the 18th, I decided to call customer service for grins to see if it might have arrived early. It had. I went to the store to pick it up, and asked out of curiosity if they knew when the thing arrived at the store. I was told it had been there since the 10th, five days after I ordered it. I never got a phone call or an email telling me it was there. That is completely stupid and about the worst customer service I've ever seen. I had reservations about going through Lowes initially, but now I know that I will never order from them again - ever. read more

My aunt in rural WV has one (installed by her lowes, which is thankful for every bit of business they get), and I like it. Left list of what I wanted for Clifford, the one guy in the store who can quote such jobs, who could not be bothered to call me back during the first action- packed hours of his shift. I live out of state and was preparing my old home for sale that had been a rental for over a decade. I needed new appliances and had to arrange everything to be done in the small window of time that I would be in Lawrenceville preparing the home. Scott in appliances placed my order and was very easy to work with. He called me back and kept me up to date on what was happening. Unfortunately, on the last day I was in town (and also the day the appliances were to be delivered) the installer brought the dishwasher and microwave, but not the range. There was an error on their part and the order omitted the oven. I spoke with a manager there named Bob, as well as another woman who was a manager, and somehow they were able to have a range delivered and installed that same day just an hour before I had to leave for the airport to catch my flight. Aside from the missed appliance, I had a good experience and was very happy that they went above and beyond to fix the mishap. read more

This is the best location out of all the stores around this area. They've always been helpful to me. They never give me trouble returning things. Yeah, somerimes they may be short staffed... but thats understandable with the number of customers in the store and the fact that things are like they used to be with the economy. I purchased 2 sliding glass doors from this store and had them delivered. The next week the doors went on sale. I took my receipt to the store to get the difference and they couldn't find the order because I purchased online. After a 20 minutes wait at customer service, the lady asked if I had some shopping to do. I walked around and when I came back she explained that they couldn't fix it because I had used a coupon. I asked for the manager. Cody came out. Expressionless and not customer service oriented at all. He was terrible. He said "what do you want me to do." Then seeing that I was upset after being there now for 45 min, I explained. He said "how much do I owe you?" Well Cody, that's your job. You figure that out. Don't ask the customer to do it and put a smile on your face since I am only asking what is your policy anyway...30 days to get the difference if they put an item on sale. He finally gave me the money and then after all of that with 3 kids in tow, the self check out wasn't working and the line was backed up down the aisle. A poorly managed store all the way around. So you decided to spend and grand and can't get someone with a working brain on the phone. Honestly if you're the one dealing with customer service you should know how to use the hold button, transfer calls and get a manager when requested, just a terrible experience. So the beginning, my husband and I were expecting a call regarding a purchase for delivery, they didn't call us, couldn't find a purchase we made yesterday when DESPITE THE FACT we had the receipt and were repeating the numbers verbatim - hence the working brain intro. After spending 20 minutes between incorrect transfers - hang ups and just completely inept "customer service" I asked for a manager and they went from rude to down right disrespectful and as opposed to help they scream HOLD while NOT placing the call on hold and allow me to hear her help continue to help people with entire transactions - I listened to two returns and a conversation about rude customers. We never got transferred to a manager, instead the delivery guy - I guess they didn't want the manager to hear about our wonderful experience. If the management hires these inept workers, do they even care? We've already received TERRIBLE experience at the Lowes in Buford GA so we figured we'd try this one and it's equally as bad. But hey, at least we didn't get accused of stealing this time. INEPT INEPT INEPT INEPT INEPT people. Home Depot here we come.
