The girl at the customer service desk was not only unhelpful but downright dismissive and rude. I'm not % sure but I was told her name is Ingrid. I went to get keys made. I was tired of waiting for someone to come to aisle 17 so I decided to try the key kiosk. It was not working, so I went to the customer service desk to once again ask for assistance. The kiosk had my original key and was not releasing it. (Nor was it working to make my key) She, Ingrid, said, "That's not our machine, it's 3rd party" I asked her how I could get my key out of the machine? She said, "I don't know, it 3rd party" again. I asked her to get a manager. That never happened. I felt dismissed. I don't want anyone else to have this experience. If you want support, don't ask Ingrid and don't use the key kiosk. read more

Service is atrocious at this store! I saw a patio table that I am interested in buying earlier today while in the area. There is a similar table on Amazon, but I prefer to buy locally when I can, so I phoned the store to speak with an associate to see if the table was in stock and whether I could pick it up this afternoon. 40 minutes on the phone later, bouncing between automated and very unhelpful robots and equally unhelpful store associates, I'm giving up. Amazon it is. If stores like Lowe's hope to compete and survive then they need to distinguish themselves with superior customer service. However their associates don't seem to care one bit, even when a customer is asking to spend money at their store. Sad and embarrassing for them. read more

Sales associates were very kind and helpful. Brianna hooked me up with a Lowe's credit card and I purchased a stacked W/D with delivery and installation. She said some delivery teams were good and some were just OK because they're 3rd party, but if I had any issues I could call the store and get a qualified technician sent out to fix whatever needed fixing. I was excited to use my card to come back and purchase a microwave/range hood and then later a water heater when I saved up a bit. The delivery team (Ramos) on 6/21 ruined my engineered wood floor and installed the machine improperly, damaging the machine and my walls because it was not level. They also used my old gas connection, which caused a gas leak. I called the store and it just rang; nobody answers. I filed a complaint about the property damage using the Lowe's chat because they're on eastern time and customer care was closed. I went to the store in tears and Fernanda kindly ordered a replacement machine with all new hookups to be delivered and installed when I could next get a day off work. Fernanda repeated Brianna's assertion that if the delivery team was no good, I could call the store and have a technician (someone who worked for Lowe's, not 3rd party) come do the install correctly. I never heard back about the property damage, so I called customer care myself and was told that the person in chat didn't do it properly and she'd start the process all over again. Great. On 6/30 a different team from Ramos came back and did a better job than the first, but they only had the new machine and none of the materials needed for install. They reused the same leaking gas connection, assuring me that it just wasn't installed correctly and the line itself was fine. Later that day, my friend was over and we both smelled gas. I turned off the gas line. Since chat didn't work last time and nobody answers the phone when you call, I waited until 7/1 to call customer care. They set up a delivery team to come fix the gas line issue. I then called the store and finally got through to someone who said she would send a Lowe's technician with the correct gas line to do it correctly and I could cancel the 3rd party delivery. I paid for a replacement gas line despite not receiving the replacement for the 6/30 delivery already. I was promised the tech would come in the afternoon 7/2 because I had to work in the morning. At 10:30am 7/2 a delivery team called and said they would be here shortly, and I said not to bother because I was not available until the afternoon and I had a technician coming with the correct gas line. I confirmed with the guy that he was delivery and not a technician. I hung up secure in the knowledge that a technician was still coming with the correct gas line to do the install correctly. As time passed, I worried, and finally called the store and go through eventually to Michelle, who told me there is no such thing as a Lowe's technician. There is only ever a delivery team. Furthermore, nobody was coming to help me today. I tried to explain about Brianna and Fernanda and she said sometimes delivery teams are called technicians but it's the same thing and she's a supervisor so I'm just wrong. She told me to call the delivery team. The delivery team said they can come out tomorrow 7/3 but cannot give me a time, so I have to hang around the entire day waiting. They also had no idea about the gas line I paid for. If you would like to be lied to and feel very frustrated and not be able to do laundry and have thousands of dollars of property damage, Lowe's is your place. Now I have a stupid Lowe's credit card I cannot use because I do not want to support a company that allows people to be treated like this. read more

I trusted Lowes to install my windows last year. It's been 14 months and now that it has started raining, my window is leaking like crazy. I called to see if they could help me out and because of the 1 year installation warranty I'm pretty much screwed. I spent a pretty penny for these windows and now I'm left without support. They delivered a broken toilet to me on 8/19/25. After many attempts on my part to get them to pick it up and refund me for it they finally picked it up on 8/26/25. It's now 9/14/25 and they still won't give me a refund. I'm not sure why. I've talked to store managers, telephone support, chat. Everyone except the store acknowledges there's an issue and the refund is inexplicably delayed. Do NOT order Milgard Windows from Lowe's. You will jeopardize your warranty! Lowe's Millworks Associates are helpful and friendly. But Lowe's delivery is horrible and dangerous for delicate expensive items. I ordered a whole set of Milgard Windows from Lowe's Hardware. It was much cheaper than going through other specialist window dealers. Exact same product almost 2000 dollars saved with contractor's discount. However, Lowe's delivery might have damaged the majority of my windows. Chipped and broken frames. The Milgard warranty doesn't cover this , because it was delivered by Lowe's and not Milgard themselves. Also , if you need to replace the frames , you will have to wait 3 or 4 weeks to remake the window frames at your own expense. So your construction must wait. In summary , if you go through a window dealer, have your windows directly delivered by Milgard. It will cost extra -- sometimes a lot extra -- but it's the only way to protect your warranty. (Lowe's will not deliver directly from Milgard. ) Also , unwrap and inspect every piece of your window within the first 5 days. Take off the foam. Everything. Your contractor might do it. Or they might not, but you need to do it yourself with attention to detail. read more

I visited Lowe's at 8383 Topanga Canyon Blvd, West Hills, on November 8 to shop for a refrigerator, but the store's intercom was screeching so loudly it was painful. I had to cover my ears, and yet someone kept trying to make announcements, causing the horrible noise to continue. When I asked employees who was using the system so they could stop it, no one knew. I waited to speak with the manager, Roger, but he never came. About 15 minutes after I left, he finally called and simply said the PA system was "broken" and they were waiting for parts--no apology, no concern. If the system is broken and hurts customers' ears, it should not be used. Very disappointing experience. No wonder people prefer shopping online when this is what you get in person. This is my home store and I appreciate that they're usually pretty stocked. And there's usually enough employees to help you out throughout the store. The cons though is always having to use self checkout but if you're buying a gift card you have to go to the customer service which can take awhile when people are picking up and or returning items. Another con can become a liability for them. The woman's bathroom doors are either installed improperly or falling apart but they swing back at you when you're trying to go into a stall. For a moment I thought someone was in a stall and pushed the door back into my face! So beware of the stall doors or don't use the woman's restroom. read more

Never write reviews, but have to today! Was buying some metal chain to do a project. One, girl over near the chains said it's self serve, which is fine, but then when we go to pay they said SOMEone should have given us the item number and length. Went back, and girl still over there is telling another customer this isn't her area, but is still in the area, and it's self serve. Luckily nice girl at self check out ended up helping us measure it and we took a photo of the item # and done. That part's all good, not the problem. But still a lil weird. So walking around the store with said chain, with my mom, probably walked by 8 different employees with no issues, cause it's Lowe's and they sell chains...????? lol But go to the garden center, walking around, smellin plants, lookin at plants. And this probably mid aged white woman looked at me with utter DISGUST, the face on this woman was WILD. Wild. I feel like it was probably PAINFUL to make the disgusted face this lady forced her face to make And was like "MAAM!!! MAAM!!! EXCUSE ME WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?" I didn't understand the issue? Apparently my mom did and was like "she's buying it...?" This lady was looking at me as if I was about to strike this chain down on her and everyone else... Then Miss Wild Face lady goes "it's how you're holding it, it's how you're holding it!!!" I WAS HOLDNG THE CHAIN how else am I supposed to hold something besides with my hands.... No chain swinging around, not hitting things with this chain, just carrying it because how else until I'm ready to pay?! Lowe's at this location is genuinely a cut above the rest, especially when compared to the nearby Home Depot. The moment I walked in, I was met with an open, well-organized atmosphere that was fully stocked. It was refreshing to navigate aisles that were both clean and uncrowded. Also note that the selection was much better also at Lowe's. For example, they had backyard. Misters were as Home Depot did not. Note that both Home Depot and Lowe's both offer 10% military discount as long as you pre-register on their website and verify with your ID.me account also, they price match so the value was definitely there. International. The service? Absolutely on point. The employees were attentive and ready to assist. It's such a stark contrast to the congested and often chaotic feel of Home Depot just a mile away. In fact, the difference is so pronounced that it feels like Lowe's operates in a different league altogether. A possible reason for this superior shopping experience could be the noticeably fewer customers at this Lowe's, making it feel like a breath of fresh air. I started to come here after the orange store disappointed me so many times. Now I'm finding they are both very similar. Lumber prices went up, policies changed and it doesn't feel like the good ole American home improvement store. Managers screwed me over a few thousand bucks. All because the employee that helped me was fired and he had ordered and send us the wrong materials. I had ordered plywood but structural, they sent us non structural OSB. My carpenter missed this and installed it. I sent plans to Lowe's but the employee didn't know the difference. Had to buy the entire order and pay twice. Sadly the manager that said she'd make it up to us lied. I couldn't return cut up OSB which was nailed. Had to remove thousands of nails. Reduced the structural integrity of the sheer walls and pay three times for labor. Do yourself a favor and deal with professional lumber yards. I'm giving three stars when I should give one or zero. read more

I don't get all the bad reviews over here l've never had a bad experience in this particular branch. I don't know what people expect when they go to Lowe's but you need to know your sh*t. I came here to get my family christmas tree horrible experience!! We have been going here for years to get our christmas tree and the lady Bianca was the rudest human being ever. When we first walked in she had an attitude did not even acknowledge our presence. We picked out a tree and she was hosing something down we had to ask if we could buy the tree since we walked up to her she was on the other from the cash register. She threw her hose down then grabbed our tree out of our hand and walked down. Then because we were so use to them tying our tree to our car we were confused she had a rude attitude and said "take it" We asked about it being tied up and she was rude as hell saying she would drag it to the front. Horrible especially during the holidays never coming back for a christmas tree. read more

People here unhelpful and Sandi the front manager was also unhelpful and unconcerned. I had 30 succulent plants that took me over an hour to pick because most of them were dying plus they didn't have hardly any of the ones showing as available on the website. Because I had so many plants and knew I needed them bagged or boxed for transporting, I did not go to self checkout as usual. Do you know after ringing me up the cashier told me to bag them up because he didn't know how to?! I said "absolutely not, this is your opportunity to figure it out and learn now." Then he said they had no boxes. I said, Lowe's has no boxes even though there are associates unboxing and shelving inventory on the floor right now? I asked for a manager at this point. Sandi comes over and says the same thing, so I asked her where do they normally get boxes for this purpose. Basically, nobody wanted to go and gather boxes. They just wanted me to take all these plants one by one and cashier thinks his job is to just scan, collect payment, and handout receipts . However I was going nowhere without these plants packaged in a way that I could effectively transfer to and from my car! Sandi made a face huffed and puffed a bit then told the cashier to move to the next register to take the next customer while she went to gather boxes. She eventually returned with enough boxes for me and the next customer that might need boxes to carry their plants. Self checkout is going to cause businesses loss of profits and custombecause of lost opportunities to connect and provide valuable experiences to customers. October 2023 Garden Section This is definitely an overall better experience than going to home depot, that's for sure. You'll find that the quality, and selection is great. I needed to pick up some dense potting soil that retains moisture (Blue Miracle Grow), some 4 & 5 gallon pots (10" wide x 10" tall), and a few odds and ends things. Up along the wall on aisle 1, I found some really thick resin pots that have been trying to find for quite some time. They were between 1/8 and 1/4" thick. You can definitely tell the quality is there! These were in the $12 price range. Honestly, I find these way more manageable than having to buy clay pots, that weigh 10 times as much. There were some other bigger plastic and resin pots that were at least a quarter of an inch if not half inch thick, durable material that far exceeds anything you'll ever find at home depot. Especially for the price! 1/8" thick 7" saucers made out of durable resin were priced right at around $7 each. Back inside the store, on aisle 22 up against the wall, I was able to find some rolling pot Movers. These are the ones that you can put a large clay or heavy pot on, and it has wheels underneath. These are clearly for heavy duty use. They're made out of some sort of cast metal, with really good casters for Wheels underneath. The staff is very friendly, and also very knowledgeable. I recently bought over 20 bags of flower gardening soil from this Lowe's location bc of the sale they were having. I think it was buy 5 bags for $10 and each bag is like 1 cubic feet. I got home and these bugs started hatching inside the soil straight from the bag. I don't know what kind of bug they are and if they are harmful. I already opened and started mixing half the bags that I bought. So disappointing that this is the quality of the soil that I bought from Lowe's. I normally love Lowe's for the customer service, but they have been a nightmare about removing an old refrigerator after they finally delivered a new one. It took them 4 tries just to successfully deliver the new fridge to begin with, but they didn't have enough people to move the old fridge. Since then, they have scheduled the fridge removal 4 more times (within a 4-hour window). Each time was a no-show with no calls or emails to cancel. All together, I have spent (8) four-hour windows (32 hours total) over the last 7 - 1/2 weeks, waiting for them to pickup the old fridge. Jonathan, head of the West Hills Lowe's Delivery department, has (very politely) repeatedly assured me that they will take care of it, but has provided no follow up or follow through. Lowe's, apparently, subcontracts out their fridge deliveries and removals to a separate company, but after 8 botched trips, you would think they would change their subcontractor! I've provided numerous tips to help them all be successful, including suggesting the best route, small truck size, number of people, to come in daytime, providing a phone number, etc, only to be told that their subcontractor "doesn't read the notes"?!^%$!. Please correct this problem, Jonathan and Lowe's, to protect your reputation - I'd hate to have to start taking my business back to Home Depot! read more

Store manager SARA has an attitudes problem. I bought a craftsman pressure and it was defective. It was within 30 days and I'm not satisfied because it was defective. She makes up stuff about differentiating between open and closed. How am I supposed to know if I'm satisfied if I don't use the product? The return policy has become extremely confusing. Brenda the costomer service here at lows, the meanest costomer serviceperson ever. I ordered couple of items all of them got delivered but one. Its been over a month now and ive been trying to call and get some updates and each time Ive been talking to her on the phone for over 45 min. This time when i was on hold for over 40 min went there to see whats the issue and I was still on the hold. When I got to the store, I can see Brenda standing there talking to her coworkers and laughing and having fun and I was on the hold at the same time. I stood there for some time to see if they even care about us as clients, but she definitely dost care at all cuz she answered the phone after another 15 min saying I am going to transfer you another department and I am stating right there and I can see she is not even working on my request. This is for the lows manager: You better know who represents your company. People like Brenda are playing with your brand reputation and as a result you are loosing a good old client. The washer stopped working after only 3 years and when I called Lowe's(good luck getting a human on the phone) they informed me that the warranty was expired. I was told when I purchased the machines that the manufacturer covers the first year and Lowe's warranty an additional 3 years. I called the store and was told the same thing from the current sales people. Obviously it was fraudulent information. This review is based on my encounter today and in the past , with for David, at doors and windows at this store. He acted toward me as one of the rudest ( or the rudest) , most disrespectful human that I have ever encountered. He should not be working at a customer sales specialist , he does not know how to talk to people period. Unless you want to be talked down to and feel like you are valueless and less of a human than he is , AVOID ordering doors in this store. I got my door ordered wrong which happens but when trying to go over my order he totally patronized me , spoke to me in an unpleasant , rude manner. Not the first time he was rude to me ... pretty much every time , but today was especially bad. Nobody in tue store seems surprised so this must be a well known fact. I've had excellent experiences here in several visits. The employees are all friendly. It's huge and the aisles are well-organized. People I asked for help always knew the answer. One walked the length of the store with us to show me where one item was. I needed a mix of various items to put together a contraption I thought up, and everything was easy to find. And my contraption did the job! They have tasty snacks and cold drinks up front, too. I also appreciate that they really do honor us veterans. You can sign up for the 10% discount and use it in the store without having to download a mobile app. Home Depot offers a 10% discount to vets too, but requires you to bring your own pocket computer with their custom software installed. Obnoxious! They do this because they want to confirm your identity, so non-veterans can't just type the phone number of a veteran for their own purchases. And because the 10% applies only up to a certain amount of total purchases. Anyway, at Lowe's, you type your phone number and then show your ID, and that's all you need to do. It's actually more secure than the stupid mobile app idea Home Depot has, which is probably as much for their data collection than security. Lowe's also has reserved parking for veterans, and over this Memorial Day weekend, they built a memorial display in one of the spaces. They could have put it anywhere, but they get it. Blocking one of our spaces makes us set aside some of our conveniences in remembrance of our buddies who never came home at all.
