I stopped by this Home Depot on a Friday evening to look at some bathroom fixtures. I got the one I'm using now from a Home Depot, so I wanted to see if there was any new looking ones. This store was not busy when I came and I was able to find parking close to the entrance. It was very quiet inside but nicely organized. This Home Depot was one of the cleanest store I visited. I found the bathroom fixtures toward the back and they had some nice matte finish ones. I also took the time to look at some tiles and countertops which I saw a nice dark grey one at the store. read more

I had an interesting experience today. First I met Nancy, evidently a newer employee, who was so lovely! She helped me with mosquito control methods and it couldn't have been a better customer service experience! Then I went to the tool department & Alyx helped me. Unfortunately he did not listen to what I needed & literally sold me something I couldn't use. Went back to return/exchange & that was fine but frustrating that I needed to...bottom line is Nancy is amazing and deserves credit for a great personality and customer service and Alyx does not. read more

Completely unacceptable experience at the West Hills Home Depot. I arrived at 9:58 PM, two minutes before their clearly posted 10:00 PM closing time, and the entrance doors were already locked. When I asked the manager to open the door since the store was technically still open, he flat-out refused. This is not how a professional retail store operates. If your posted hours say 10:00 PM, customers should be allowed to enter until 10:00 PM. Locking the doors early is misleading and disrespectful to customers who made the effort to come before closing. Either management is cutting corners so employees can leave early, or they simply do not care about honoring their own business hours. If the store wants to close at 9:58 PM, then be honest and post that as your closing time. Otherwise this just feels like poor management and complete disregard for customers. I went to my Home Depot and per usual I had questions for the helpful staff. My questions were about keys and is copying one an option. I was about to enter HD when I locked eyes with Carlos and I already had a feeling he's the one with the answers, I bashfully approached him with butterflies in my stomach, the other staff members quietly backed away. He just has that effect on people, myself included. I could see he was a macho guy, but with a delicate sole, I didn't want to scare him off. Listen, I'm a married man with a kid, alright. I just couldn't, I was so confused, the world was spinning around me as if I was drunk. I don't know, "maybe" I developed an instant man crush on him. Anywho, needles to say he had the answers I was looking for and he explained to me there's couple of options, and his voice was like angels singing in my ears. Where was I...oh right. 'My problems are solved' Carlos whispered to me gently. We had a moment and we both knew it was forbidden. I don't know about you, but that's what I call customer service. Stop by Home Depot to get some new plants and a couple home repair items. Their plant section was a very full with plants that seemed very healthy. They had a lot of fruit and vegetable starter plants too! We picked up pot of rosemary that seemed really fresh. Inside it was pretty standard as far as Home Depot's go, it's always a little hard to find where things are in these stores. And employees always seem scarce for assistance. We were able to find everything we needed at the store, and the appliances to check on pricing. Their prices do seem pretty competitive for appliances! Tucked away in West Hills it's kinda hidden as it's in the back sandwiched in the back of all of Ralph's, Walmart and Target - but those three are in different spots of the fallbrook center. I mean, all in all this Home Depot is like any other. Huge huge huge space with everything you can possibly conceive of that you may need for your needs. Went in for a leaf blower and for something as random as that, they had several options. Massive selection. Place was clean, organized, lots of employees to help and easy to find things as lanes were given descriptors - like a grocery store. As for the value, in this day and age everyone is so quick to buy online but I'm willing to spend a little extra to buy in person and support brick and mortar businesses. read more

I just recently visted my local Home Depot. I usually dread these visits as I have found the staff to be really unhelpful and unknowledgeable on several occasions. This visit was unavoidable, so I went. I was trying to get a storage container from a shelf that needed a ladder to get to, and I asked the kid in the next aisle if he could help me. He said "no, sorry", so I asked if he could call someone to help and he said "I don't have a phone". So I asked who was assigned to the "aisle area" and he said that another guy was, but that he was outside working on a truck (??). Then, he !just kinda looked at me with a blank stare. Okay. . . . before I could get frustrated any more, I just resigned myself to walking around the store to ask soemone (anyone) I could find for help! Right then, a guy walked up and asked what I needed (Joshua). I told him my situation. The kid seemed really tired, high, or like there was something bigger wrong with him. He just wasn't quite "all there". Regardless, Joshua came to "save the day", without hesitation he got a ladder and got my container for me. He then comped the container for me at the front register (thank you!). He saw the whole situation unfold. He was helpful, "awake", present, and went on to help me find some other supplies. I think he may have been a Manager (?). Not sure, but he was GREAT! I am not a "Karen", and it would not have killed me to walk around and try and find someone, but as a business owner myself, I believe the staff/employees should always try and find solutions for the issues the customer is having. We had such a positive shopping experience at Home Depot, and it was all thanks to Daniel, the assistant store manager, and Ayleen at checkout! At first, we had a hard time finding someone to help us in the appliance section, but Daniel truly came to the rescue. Despite being incredibly busy--his phone was constantly ringing with calls from associates--he handled everything with such grace, patience, and kindness. It was amazing to see how he balanced everything without ever seeming overwhelmed. He took the time to help us with a positive attitude, ensuring we got exactly what we needed. His professionalism and genuine care for customers are truly rare and greatly appreciated! When it was time to check out, Ayleen was just as wonderful. We had a large and somewhat complicated order, but she processed everything smoothly and efficiently. She was friendly, patient, and made sure everything was correct without making us feel rushed. Her warm and welcoming attitude made our checkout experience stress-free. Great customer service can be hard to come by, but Daniel and Ayleen went above and beyond. Home Depot is lucky to have such dedicated employees, and we'll definitely be returning because of them. Thank you both for making our shopping trip such a pleasant one! I can't stand this store. The employees are mostly miserable and the opposite of helpful. When I ask for help I either get the totally wrong answer or they don't have what I'm looking for. I'd say the exception to this are some of the women who work in the gardening section outside. I recently bought an expensive electronic keypad lock that I had to ask for up front. I guess they get stolen so they have them locked up in a cabinet. Then it wasn't in the cabinet and they had to get it from a stock room or something. I don't know why it took so long to find the item, but it was a pain in the arse having to wait so long. Then, the lock was defective and I had to exchange it. I called the store to see if they had a replacement in stock and after being on hold for quite a while, I was told they didn't have anymore and then I got hung up on. Nice. I ended up going to the Woodland Hills location on Variel ro make the exchange. Another overall thing I don't like about Home Depot is they don't have tap-to-pay available. It's 2024 - please get with the program. I accidentally didn't have my wallet with me and I had to go all the way home and then back to make a purchase. People always say to go to Lowes or Ace, but they're not much better and the prices are always quite a bit higher. I do like the local Ace Hardware in my neighborhood, but they don't have much of a selection of items. read more

Located in the Falbrook Shopping Center right behind the Ralphs on Victory. There are plenty of parking spaces available. During the winter time, they block off a big part of the parking area for Xmas trees. I've never had any issues with parking even then. The aisles are clean and organized. I normally can find anything I need here, but if I can't, I can ask a store rep. For the most part, they are nice and knowledgable. There's also a food cart outside the exit door. read more

I'll be honest, I've been to at least 30 Home Depot's around LA county. This one is my fav! It's so organized, user friendly and overall great quality workers. I don't get all the bad reviews over here I've never had a bad experience in this particular branch. I don't know what people expect when they go to Home Depot but you need to know your sh*t. Oxana (not sure I'm spelling this right) was AMAZING! I needed a grout pen. Best little invention ever to upgrade the look of your grout. They're small and never easy to find. Others told me they were in stock, gave me the isle number to find them in - but there were no pens. I asked another person and she said they were out of stock even though the other person said they had them. Enter Oxana! She looked and looked but sadly she too couldn't find them. As I was leaving she came rushing around the corner with two pens she had found! Worst customer service ever. My husband and I came in tonight around 6:50pm to buy a Christmas tree stand. We didn't even make it into the store when the employee collecting the shopping carts starts yelling at us that they're closing at 7 and that we don't have time to shop. My husband tells him that we're going to be really quick because we know what we need and we walk towards the doors. The employee gets upset and yells they're not going to let us in because "it's 3 minutes til close." My husband checks the time, it's 6:53pm, and responds to the employee that the store is still open and it's seven minutes not three. As we pass the entrance, I notice the sign says they close at 8pm so we ask the employee upfront what time they close and she says "5 minutes." Because we don't want to keep them later than 7, we ask her where can we find the Christmas tree stands and she rudely says "Those are sold outside and they're already closed." I have been working in retail for the past 10 years and there are respectful ways to let your guests know of closing time and where product is located. Home Depot, train your employees better on how to communicate with customers and update your store hours. read more

This review is only for the kids workshops that take place on the first Saturday of every month. This is my go-to location for the kids workshops. They are way more organized than other locations that we have been to. They're even considerate enough to put up tents on those terribly sunny and hot days. They always have at least two employees running the workshop, they play a playlist of Disney hits over a portable speaker during those hours, and most recently, they had printed out a list of all of the people who had registered beforehand to make sure the kits went to those customers. read more

I rented a tool and they gave me melted batteries. I come right back to change it and the staff start scorching me saying you are negligent and you did this, we will charge you for damaging equipment, all to distract from them never checking the product before it was handed out. One of the batteries was never charged and it too was melted, how can I melt something that was never used. They gave me new batteries and when I come back I tell the manager Cedric, and he takes me in front of the employee who gave me the faulty equipment and the employee starts to confront me and cause me of being untruthful and saying again that I damaged the battery. Just a horrible experience. Lack of consideration for people's health and wellbeing , lack of respect. What if the faulty batteries would have caught fire or blown up or electrocuted someone. read more

i had custom made curtains for 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. i have never in my life dealt with such poor customer service. i had problems with the shades not rolling up when you try to open or close them. they came out twice and fixed the pulls. in june the repair man took my curtains on my two french doors that get the most sun. they said 5 week turn around. after 10 emails and at lest 10 phone calls imwas promised my curtains by october 10th! today ( october 10th they called and said we have a problem. they mailed them to the wrong address!!! i cannot believe how inept and dumb these people are! i have been without my curtains since june 1st. today is october 10th! ive owned my own furniture store and did custom. i would have been out of buisness had i treated my customers the way i have been treated! i say that they really need a supervisor who can handle problems and not irritate the customer. 5 week turn around to fix pulls! its been 17 weeks! i will never purchase from home depot again! i wouldnt be suprised if they start closing stores. this has been a total nitemare. and im still dealing with people and now i have to wait again! they have lost agood customer and someonewho spent money with them over the lst 30 years@! dont buy or order ciustom drapes from home depot! read more

I wanted to leave a stellar review for Nathaniel (from garden). I went to this location for floor and bathroom tiles, and the "designer" who manages this area was busy with so many customers. There were a couple employees who saw me and just kept walking and didn't offer any help. I went into the next aisle and found a nice employee and she said flooring is not her area but she can try to find me help. At the end of her aisle, Nathaniel and 2 other employees were standing there, but Nathaniel was the only one with enough awareness to see what was going on around him. He asked "Can I help with anything?" Even though flooring and tiles wasn't his area, he still walked me over to help answer my questions. He was SUPER informative, took me to different parts of the store to show me relevant items, he was trying to do cost calculations for me, he was recommending comparable locations that might have exactly what I'm looking for, and he was SO nice to speak with. He's also really funny and a relatable guy. I've gone to so many home stores and Nathaniel is a rockstar. The kind of service he provided, I haven't received anywhere else (not even in the luxury stores I've gone to). I really hope his management team gives him recognition for his great work. I will be coming back to this store just because of him! read more

I purchased 40 boxes of tile. I was physically in the store and was with the representative counting out the two different locations that had the 40 boxes. I paid for 40 boxes in full. My credit card was charged. When we came to pick it up, it turns out they had already sold half of the order. They had no way of getting new stock to replace it. They refunded me without my approval. The best thing I could do was go to another store to find the same tile. Their inventory management is awful. Do not trust what their computer system says. And I strongly recommend picking up your materials immediately. Will call may not work anymore. read more

This is a low-key spot and not that busy. I like that it is easy to park and a lot of staff inside to help you. I was able to order something really quick and fast. Though the employee didn't ask me for a warranty, and it was hard to find to add it to my product, it was overall a very fast process. I will go to this one now instead of the one on Roscoe. Waited and waited, asked and asked, nobody came to open the lock for battery powered gardening tools section. Seems like there are group of employees who worked inside the store, related to each other and ignored customers. The store was mostly not busy, only one customer seen at self check out. Finally a worker came and opened the lock, and lead me to the garden section check out outside, I guessed he was not part of the family gang inside. The other Home Depot stores nearby are not this bad, some even have the best workers helping customers as much as they can.
