Customer Service in this Lowe's Yorktown ny location is probably the worst of all Lowe's I've been to. The employees are absolutely incompetent. Anyone you try to get help from have absolutely zero knowledge about any of products. There is not one department that has a clue. They do offer to call customer service and ask, but that's something I can do myself. The management is downright rude. I would steer clear of this place. I had an issues with the the wrong price being posted when there were several of the same items in the rack, so it was clearly their mistake. Horrible experience today ..it took an hour and a half and 4 sales associates to order a dishwasher. While I completely understand being in training and not knowing the register 100% ..at least smile or acknowledge your customer. Love the brand and thought the horrible service was because the store was new but that's not an excuse anymore. Bought and garage door opener and wanted it installed - cancelled that after the third time the installer cancelled at the last minute. Bought two things online to pickup on store which should have taken 5 minutes tops and took 25 since no one knew what they were doing. Watched employees make fun of customers behind their back. Never buy from this Lowe's. Bought a trailer and the wiring was bare and exposed, broken side marker and plate mount bracket was missing. When I tried to return it within twelve hours, the "manager" Kai-ten said I had to take it off the property as it's not their fault and it's a liability to them. Uhhh what if a kid touched the wire or what if I crashed without working lights or what if I was pulled over for no plate? She didn't care and said I have to wait 2 weeks for title and then go back and I have to pay to transfer title to them and then they will swap it. That means I then have to register it again. She then turned around and walked inside. You can tell by the other reviews that this place is understaffed, but maybe it's due to the manager having zero idea what she is doing. What a terrible answer. Filing claim with Better Business Bureau. Update: After calling Carry-On Trailers since Lowe's continues to do absolutely nothing, I was instructed to bring the trailer back and they would swap it. Carry-On spoke to Lowe's and told them exactly what to do. I set an appointment time and showed up only to wait an hour and be told Kai-ten and Brian from Receiving, whom Carry-On spoke to extensively, never forwarded any of the messages or documentation from Carry-On to them. I then forwarded the emails to Rojé whom is another store manager with the exact instructions and a note from Carry-On addressed directly to him! Instead of dealing with this issue that has now taken twenty hours of sitting on hold, going to Lowe's and calling corporate for Carry-On and Lowe's, I was told by Rojé that they needed to verify this was a real email and I have to come back another day. See the attached screenshot of the email from Carry-On to Lowe's. Once again Lowe's refuses to do the right thing. Learn to treat your customers as you would want to be treated and actually stand behind the products that you sell for over $1,000. Conmen working for a con artist company. Corporate hasn't reached back out and the staff are not only useless, but treated my wife and I like we were trying to scam them. How disrespectful and embarrassing. read more

DO NOT BUY HERE!! I was in need of a new refrigerator, ordered it in store. We were given a window of delivery on Friday for our Saturday delivery. We waited all day on Saturday for the fridge that never came. No one called us. After hours of calling, getting transferred and hung up on -- they finally told us the truck was MISSING!! Lowe's uses a third party delivery company who do not communicate at all with Lowe's. Almost missed the rehearsal dinner we needed to attend Saturday night. Rescheduled delivery for Monday, got a confirmation call window of 10-2 on Sunday night. Monday morning rolls around and they say we are not delivering your fridge today. In their notes they claimed we rejected the delivery which is false!! No one could give out names or phone numbers for help. No one answers the phone. Called the warehouse and told us the delivery people dropped the fridge on Saturday so it was never loaded in the truck in the first place. Hassle to even get someone on the phone to cancel our order. Shop small businesses because Lowe's SUCKS!!!!! read more

I recently brought my pressure washer to be repaired.I dropped it off in the beginning of june,was told it would be picked up between7to 10 days.Well four weeks later and no response I called Lowe's and was told it was picked up on July 2 nd. I visited Lowe's Yorktown Hgts NY on July 1st to avail my self of the 40% off sale on Levellor Window blinds. I chose the product, discussed it with the Sale Person (B) who said fine. He took my order to have the windows measured. (Required before finalizing the price.) We paid immediately for the measuring but they could not get to us for a week. The measurements were done and the Sales Person (B) called and said come in That Tuesday at 10am to finalize the order: 1. The Sales Person did not show up at all 2. The replacement person could not find the order. 3. A department Manager shows up and takes forever to find the order and then says We are not eligible for the discount because the measurements were not finished until the Sale was over. I pointed out that if the only way to finalize the Sale was to have the measurements in hand, then it was impossible for anyone to get the 40% off Sale Price. She could care less. 4. I have reached the Lowe's automatic answering 4 times and have yet been unable to reach any living person in the Department where I paid $40 for nothing. My actual rating for Lowe's is ZERO but to post this review I had to give one star. After researching online for a refrigerator with the key factors being dimensions and delivery date, I ordered one from Lowe's. My "home" store is designated as Yorktown Heights, NY. I ordered from there solely because for this particular refrigerator the delivery date was early July and I placed the order on 6/14. On 7/2 I looked at my order status and a delivery date was set for 7/5. On 7/3 late afternoon I received a phone message stating that no delivery will take place since they won't cross state lines to deliver. What??? Apparently, this call came from a store in CT where the refrigerator is , not Yorktown Heights. After waiting for over 1/2 hour to speak to someone at the YH store, I hung up and called the general Lowe's customer service number. After waiting on hold for over 45 minutes I finally reached a rep who repeated what the message said that it won't be delivered. I requested that the refrigerator be shipped to the YH store so that it could then be delivered without crossing state lines. The rep had no idea whether this could be done and said that I should be getting a response within 24 hours of my phone call or that I could call the YH store manager. Good luck reaching a particular person when I couldn't even get through after 1/2hour + on the phone to just speak to someone. So I've been without a refrigerator/freezer for over 2 1/2 weeks waiting for Lowe's to deliver the one I ordered just to find out that it won't be delivered after all. Update: Marianne from Lowes Yorktown Heights Appliances was very helpful and found a refrigerator that fit the required dimensions , in stock and arranged for delivery in two days. She is the only bright spot in my recent dealings with Lowe's. read more

Delivery originally scheduled for a Monday. Oops, there was a mistake in the system. Reschedule for Tuesday. Oops, we never got the memo. Reschedule for Wednesday. Oh, our driver ran out of time before your stop so it's not coming today. Reschedule for Thursday with promise of 1st stop. It's Thursday at 4:15pm and still no delivery of my $600 order. I ordered a dishwasher November 28th. I understood through Covid delays were inevitable but every month i would get an email from Lowe's Home Improvement that there was a delay i my order. Finally May 1st was suppose to be the final delivery. I called a couple of days before to confirm as you can imagine my skepticism. They said yes all set and the delivery company will reach out to you the day before to confirm time. No phone call happened. On the supposed delivery date I called Lowe's at 8am to find out if i really was going to get this dishwasher. After being on the phone with them for 1 hour ( i took pictures of the scree), I was told that the vender was suppose to send me an email yesterday delaying my order once again. Why would they send it when all along Lowe's was sending the delaying emails? The woman on the phone was lying and mean and just completely uncaring and unapologetic about this whole situation. NEVER EVER order anything from LOWE'S. You can not trust them, they are completely overwhelmed and not helpful. read more

I had purchased online a washing machine on 12/30/19, and received the product on 12/31/19. The item had cosmetic issues, and was assured by the delivery men, and Lowes there should be no problems. Also eventhough the item was purchased online I was told to forward any issue to the Yorktown store. Seperately it took rather several days between 1/1 and 1/3 to handle the cosmetic issues of the product. On the 42nd day the washing machine had problems. I contact the customer service line and then told they can't assist me on this issue, that I need to contact the store. I contact the store, and am told no you need to contact the 800 line since it was purchased online. I call online once more to be told that NO, you need to contact the store itself because that is where the item was originally housed. I speak to a representative who is a manager and his help was to direct me to the 800 line. At this point I have no where to go,and also when I ask the manager can I speak to the store Manager Pele Edwards, I am told he can't do nothing. At this point I am here to state don't shop at LOWES whether it is the brick and mortar or online store. Today to get a statement from the manager well he didn't have to go beyond what he was to do, is a little silly! Mind you the number he provided to me originally was the wrong number. So if the mangers can't do anything, what is the recourse for a customer!!!!! The only reason a put 1 star was because it doesn't allow you to put no stars. read more

My first time at Lowes in Yorktown was a terrible experience. The salesperson in plumbing assured us that the toilet bowl will be delivered and the old one would be taken away. The toilet seat cover was broke & installer said he didn't know when he can come back with a new cover. The installer left a 1/4 inch sealer around bowl and I told him to remove some sealant that it looked sloppy. My husband & I went to Lowes to pick up the cover ourselves. Spoke to store manager Pele who was courteous and he did arranged for the old toilet bowl to be picked up. read more

Extremely rude experience today. I parked by the garden center and figured I'd check to see if it was exit only. Considering current events, I figured it was but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask since I've seen other stores without exit only signs and allowed customers to enter at the garden center. So I looked and I didn't see any signs indicating this. There was a huge line waiting to check out by the entrance/exit. There was an older white not-so-gentleman employee standing next to the line with a cart full of items, doing nothing. He looked like he was completely spacing out. I walked up to him, but made sure I wasn't too close and with a mask already on, I asked him if this was exit only. He didn't bat an eyelash and nor did he answer me. I figured he couldn't hear me through my mask so asked him again and suddenly he became enraged and yelled at me in front of all the other customers, "WELL YOU'RE HERE ALREADY SO JUST GO IN!!" He gave me a shitty assed look. I was so shocked and I know all the other customers heard him yell at me. I couldn't even react so I just hurried past him. ALL he had to do was answer yes or no. His rotten attitude was uncalled for and honestly, NO ONE was practicing the 6 ft. distancing while standing in line and neither was he! So I don't see what the big deal was with me asking him a simple question. Would he have preferred I just walk in without asking first?! This was around 2:15pm today (06/27/2020) in case anyone in the Lowe's Yorktown management cares to look into this. This is the same cranky ass old man that I've seen around the garden center before. So I said "I need motion lights and continued with my question then asks "Yea but what do you want?". I look at him confused. So I asked him "Are you asking me what shape? He says yes. WTF! Horrible horrible horrible experience dealing with this store. My husband and I went in to order a new glass storm door and sliding patio door. We were told it would take 4 days maximum for them to arrive and we would receive an automated call when it shipped and again when it was delivered. It took THREE weeks for the doors to arrive. I had to call multiple times to try and get details and finally had to go into the store. I never received any automated calls and was told they couldn't figure out why. The worst part is that when my contractor arrived with the patio door to install.. it was wrong! It was not the door we ordered. This store has the worst customer service and is understaffed. It's impossible to get answers over the phone they just transfer you around. Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere! read more

I always try to give Lowe's some business, but unfortunately, they will never be able to compete with Home Depot. Not in product availability, price or staff. On the rare occasion that I find something I need at Lowe's that HD does not carry, pick up and delivery is almost always disappointing. Today, I was at both and although we're in a middle of a pandemic, HD is still doing a ton of business. I came to Lowe's to pick up something HD didn't have, there was only one person working the returns and online pick up line. I was 2nd in line and waited about 20 minutes to pick up my order. Most people on line were returning items, and it was way too long to allow enough space for social distancing, meanwhile, the rest of the store and check-out lines were close to empty. That says a lot when the returns are longer than new purchases. On my way out, I tried to get the solo worker some help and asked the cart return guy who was doing nothing but chatting for a manager. He said, "I'm not a manager." Duh! Obviously! I repeated my question, and he say "there's no manager today." Now that explains why Lowe's is so incompetent, disorganized and chaotic. How can a store this size not have a manager on duty. Guess I have to continue to give my business to Home Depot and elsewhere. Absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced anywhere. Purchased a refrigerator from them took them three weeks to get it to me. The first installers did not know how to properly shut off the water and install, so they left the refrigerator sitting in my living room for three weeks before they sent another team out. The second team couldn't finish the job because the workers forgot their tools SMH. Finally a third team came out and instructed me that they could not install the fridge because it did not have the proper connections. Had to throw everybody fridge included out of my house. When I finally went to the store to complain to the store manager who couldn't even take time out of his busy schedule to speak to me he sent some condescending young lady to explain to me basically that it was tough luck and there's nothing they can do about it. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! Can never find anyone to help you and when you do; they are clueless. Tried to order a shower door. Spent one hour with sales person to enter into computer and add their contractor to install. Would cost $35 upfront and I could pay on my way out. Went to cash register to pay and there was no order on my account. I walked out of the store disgusted and amazed. Went back to try one more time and Dan helped put order in computer and I paid $35. I waited over a week and no call from the contractor. Went back to Lowes to follow up on why the contractor hadn't called me and they said the assistant manager cancelled my order the night before at 11 pm and never called me to let me know. Lowes in Poughkeepsie was wonderful to deal with..remodeled my kitchen with them and never had a problem. This store better step it up or I don't see it lasting too long.
