Overall, we had a great experience purchasing Luna. Bow and Grace were kind, friendly, and kept us updated throughout the process. Luna has been an amazing addition to our family, and we know several other families who have also had positive experiences with this breeder. There are two things I would recommend to future buyers. First, get the final price in writing before placing your deposit. We paid $5,000, while another family we know paid $3,500 for a Lab from the same breeder. Second, have your veterinarian perform a fecal test right away. Luna came home with worms and Giardia, which took about a month to clear. Since she was our only dog, it wasn't a huge issue, but it could be if you have other pets. Given the premium price, I would have expected her to come home free of parasites. We were lucky enough to get our puppy last Christmas from Lowe's Labs. She is a beautiful girl with a sweet disposition. She's very smart and has learned her training quickly. She's the typical lab with lots of energy and loves water (our pool) but we've had labs before and knew to expect this. She's settled into our home very well, loves our kids and cats. We acquired our lab from this breeder. Everything from the communication to the pickup appointment went as good as can be expected. The dog itself is extraordinary, just a perfect, beautiful specimen of an animal. Wherever the dog goes, people comment on him. He's kind and sweet, strong and healthy. Even though we read books and watched videos about how to train a dog, well, there's much more to it than meets the eye. For the good of the dog, as well as us, we decided to invest the money in a two-week training period with Bo, the breeder. I must say, he made some big promises about how he would transform the dog in that time. We dropped the dog off and were gratified that he got to meet his mother. It was hard being away from the dog for two weeks, but we received almost daily reports, including videos. When we went to pick up our dog two weeks later, we were astonished by the transformation! WoW! Bo transformed our dog from a too-energetic, rambunctious, sort of misbehaving dog to a well-behaved, disciplined, obedient dog in just two weeks! It was hard to believe it was the same dog. Bo spent a good hour advising us on how to keep the training in the dog's mind. All the commands and hand signals. The tone of voice. It was miraculous! Everything is better, and the dog is happier too! Aside from purchasing the pup, this training with this trainer was one of the best investments we have ever made. We sent our dog Kona to be trained by Bo Lowe for his board and train program. Kona was with him for two weeks. Kona is a rescue and is a little over a year old and 45 lbs. She is a black lab mix. She was jumping on people, pulling on the leash on walks, love biting, and wouldn't stay or come on command. She is a great dog but needed some fine tuning. I chose Bo because he only trains one dog at a time and Kona would become part of the family by being a house member and being able to stay in their home. This was very important to us. He was also located near our home in Yorba Linda. Bo did a wonderful job training Kona. Kona is a new well-behaved dog but with the same love and affection she had prior. Bo was very gentle, yet firm with his training on Kona. He was in tune to Kona's submissive/reclusive behavior and knew that if he pushed her too far too soon, she would regress. He sent videos almost daily of their progress together. It was an amazing transformation to see! After picking up Kona, Bo was very thorough in his training to us humans. He took his time and explained everything we needed to know, even the emotions behind the commands. A week later we visited Bo and Kona was excited to see Bo again. I would not recommend Lowes Labs based on our experience purchasing a lab puppy from him in 2021 because of : 1) repeated diarrhea and vomiting 2) severe hip dysplasia 3) inconsistent temperament and appearance 4) questionable pricing 5) negative pickup experience. 1) I got on the waitlist in 2021 for a lab in June 2022. In July 2021, I got a call from Bo saying that there is a "last minute availability" of a lab from his sister who is also his "business partner," Jonelle L Velazquez. I read the good views and trusted Bo, so I proceeded to get this puppy. The puppy started having repeated diarrhea and vomiting shortly after it got home and was diagnosed with Giardia and Inflammtory Bowel Disease (IBD), needing to be on the more expensive special hydrolyzed proteins vet prescription diet for life. Multiple emergency room visits. 2) He started walking funny so I took him to the vet for an x-ray. Turned out he has "severe bilateral hip dysplasia and osteoarthrosis" at 2.5 years old. The vet is recommending surgery for a total hip replacement (THR) as otherwise he is expected to have difficulty moving around later in life. 3) Before I decided to get him Bo told me this puppy is very calm especially since he is an English lab which was largely why I wanted an English lab. It turned out he is extremely hyper and rambunctious. Bo also said he is white as can be, but he turned out to be more the color of a normal yellow lab rather than the white English lab which was what I had paid for. 4) We had agreed the pricing would be $5000 over the phone in 2021. However, before pickup Bo said we had agreed it was $5500. Due to a lack of written record and my trust for him as a breeder and person, I paid the extra $500. But later I found out that Jonelle, the actual breeder for my puppy (he was reselling her puppies to me), is selling her puppies for $2400 in 2024. I got charged $5500 for one in 2021. 5) The puppy pickup was uncomfortable. My boyfriend was waiting for me in the car while I went and picked up the puppy from Bo and his wife, Grace's home. Grace had just left for a different room, and I was holding the puppy in my arms and asking if the way I was holding him was correct (first-time dog owner). Bo suddenly squeezed my arms with his arms and told me that yes, but this (him squeezing my arms) is "not how you should hold a puppy" because the puppy would feel it's too snug. If my bf had gone with me to the pickup, I don't think Bo would have behaved in this way. As a young Asian female I felt really uncomfortable. It ruined my first puppy pickup experience. When I texted him with a question about my puppy after I got home, he also FaceTimed me which was unexpected as either texts or a phone call would have sufficed. Even though Bo told me he didn't have a single health issue with his dogs in 40 years of breeding, I understand that there is a large margin of error in dog breeding resulting in genetic issues. I further understand for many people dog breeding is their livelihood so that's why I haven't written a review until now. But one thing happened after another and with the hip dysplasia and after $$$$ on medical bills and us going into 12k+ surgery (that's if we only do surgery on one hip), I would have wished someone like myself would've shared their experience. I spoke to him before and discussed this with him. I'm waiting to see if he will personally reach out to me and apologize. read more

I have found myself the best dog trainer in town. I got myself a 3 months Labrador that I have no clue of how to raise a puppy. The first week I got him he was a handful. He was bitting me and my kids. It could be puppy play ,but to us it hurt. I was bruised all over my legs. I google and call everyone in my area. No one was able to take him for training. I know my fur baby need a lot of training. I sign him up for 2 weeks of training. Everyday I would get his video. He is doing so great. The price is very reasonable. I have shop all over OC he have the best price in town. His work is amazing!! My baby is doing everything that I need him to learn even jumping in and out of the car. I would like to leave a huge shout out to Lowe's Labs located here in Yorba Linda. Our dog Bowie just completed a 3 week training boot camp with Bo and I am so excited with the results!! Our 6 month old pup was a great dog before training but undisciplined. Bowie came home and I cannot believe the difference. No more pulling on the leash during walks, no running out the front door and he understands and follows all of the commands - both verbal and hand signals. Our exhaustive search for the perfect lab and breeder led us to Bowe in Nov. 2020. We had the opportunity to get on a waitlist and be number 10 but we passed on that and Bowe offered us the 1st pick for his Winter 2021 litter with Sequoiah. We decided this was the best option for our family as we wanted pick of the litter. No mention of gender specific lists we mentioned just that $500 deposit guaranteed us a puppy. Fast forward 10 months of patient waiting and continued correspondence with Bowe and we were told the litter had 6 pups and 2 of which are female. Bowe then decided to inform us he was keeping the two females for himself. To make matters worse he then told us we were first on the female list and were not getting a puppy. So after a year of waiting our four little boys were let down by his dishonesty, lack of transparency, and poor business practices. We are very happy with Lowe's Labs Puppy training program. We chose the 3 week training for our 5 and a half month old Silver lab puppy. It was hard to be away from him that long but well worth my separation anxiety lol. Our puppy was rambunctious, would not listen to commands, jumped & pulled on a leash before we dropped him off for his training with Bo. When we picked him up he was a completely calm, responsive, very well behaved puppy. It was very apparent from the moment we first saw him that he received great care and exceptional training in Bo's program. Of course as instructed by Bo the training had to be carried through in our home and if we had any questions he made himself available through texts/calls/social media. Believe me when I say I had to be trained to follow through with the training and had to reach out to Bo a few times for advice & guidance, as I was taking it to easy on our puppy and did not want him to fall back in the old routine before the training. After speaking with Bo we have found a happy cohesive training regiment in the home and our puppy is extremely well behaved still to this day and the foreseeable future.
