The facility itself is very well equipped, with more than 100 rooms. They also have separate isolation rooms in case a dog gets sick, which helps prevent illnesses from spreading to other dogs. I thought that was a huge plus. All new dogs are required to provide vaccination records, and they also do about a 20-minute temperament assessment before joining. Based on each dog's personality, they arrange suitable playgroups instead of just mixing all the dogs together. The staff are also very professional and attentive. We brought him in at 13 weeks to the EveryPup Program, where he is in a clean and disinfected facility with other safe and healthy pups and he gets training every day by Dave. Almost from day 1 we started noticing huge changes, and he matured so rapidly it's like we have a different dog! He is very calm, polite and attentive, and has been able to self-regulate so well. Dave is always available for our questions and follow ups, and he sends over progress notes and photos every day from training sessions. We also would ask him about problem behavior such as counter surfing or jumping up on people to greet, and Dave would target those specific behaviors as well. We also appreciated how fast and quickly they acted on our puppy swallowing something he shouldn't have, and immediately gave him some hydrogen peroxide to get him to throw it up, which saved us from extremely expensive and likely traumatic vet visits and possible surgery. Very grateful! Every day we pick up our puppy he is so happy from a day of playing and getting love from all the staff, and is tired and ready for some cuddles and naps when he gets home. The staff here are so caring and really love each dog, I trust them to take care of our puppy. Highly recommend!

Had to be put in time out multiple times. I was constantly watching on the cameras and he was playing with other dogs but something about it bothered the staff. Nothing out of the ordinary from when he is with his friends at the dog parks or at his other daycares. I chalked up t up to the staff being inexperienced and new. But, also not the right fit for us. I know people who have had a similar experience there as well. Now today this happened and why I am posting so late after I went there. I would definitely be nervous taking my dog there. Just wanted people to know if you had a dog staying at Smart Parke in Brea today 8/16/26 a dog got out and was running in the middle of the street on Birch . Luckily the cars all seen it and stopped. The dog got all the way to the apartments close to State College where a woman walking her dog was able to hold it. The Smart Parke employee then was able leash the dog safely. If it was my dog I would want to know. Hopefully they told the owners. It was a medium sized short hair brown dog.

John is a really great trainer, and we're very happy with the results. Before training, Ghost had a lot of typical puppy behaviors -- digging, biting and chewing slippers, getting into things he shouldn't, etc. After he came home, those behaviors were basically gone. What impressed us the most is that the training really lasted. Ghost has now gone through his teenage phase, which we were honestly expecting to be a little chaotic , but he's still such a good dog. He understands boundaries, listens well, and is very easy to live with. Looking back, sending him to John at 4 months old gave him a really strong foundation, and we can still see the difference 7 months later. I came to find out it was the wife and she took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. I requested to book a tour and asked if my dogs could come. The tour: The tour went great! They took the time to make sure not to approach my dogs too hastily and towards the end, my husband and I felt comfortable leaving our dogs with them! We ended up booking and saw they had an amazing deal if we paid for a yearly membership, which helped give a discount to book the play room to have our 2 dogs stay in, along with a free walk for both of them (they typically potty outside and know not to potty inside). We booked the boarding for about 4 days and found out they partnered with a groomer! My dogs got the grooming and they LOVED It there. They really got comfortable playing with the other dogs and loved the owners. 10 out of 5 stars if I could!!! Our dogs were happy, smelled fantastic (thanks groomers!), and weren't even that excited to see us when we came to pick them up (which I was a bit sad, but extremely happy because that meant they really enjoyed their stay!).
