The customer service that we received from this location was appalling. We bought a washer & dryer. We explained to the customer service rep that we only wanted to buy a set that was in stock. He assured us that both items were and they'd be delivered in two days. We called to confirm the night before and were told we were good to go. Friday morning comes and Lowe's calls to say that the washer is not in stock "anymore". Do we still want the dryer delivered? Say what? We confirmed they were in stock multiple times. We stated that we did indeed want the dryer delivered that day. We were then assured the washer would be delivered on Monday. We confirm again that the washer will be delivered on Monday. Monday comes and no washer. We've spoken to 6 customer service reps and now a manager who cannot explain why for the 2nd time our washer isn't being delivered. He then tells us that he can't get it delivered to us until Wednesday. No explanations, no apologies, no sorry for the inconvenience, nothing! A week after making our purchase and we still didn't have a washer. I will take my business elsewhere. They clearly showed they do not care about taking care of their customers. read more

Dear Lowes. You are my favorite store. When I go to your store, my wife asks "Are you going to Disneyland?" But I have to say I am very disappointed of my experience today at the Lowes located in Gonzalez avenue in Oxnard, CA. Although you had associates at entrance and exit counting occupancy with a clicker, the volume of people you were allowing inside amounted to a large crowd. I don't think you need to make a buck that badly, since you have never been ordered to close doors like all of our businesses. I expect that from your competitors since they show their colors with their political contributions, but not from Lowes. All isles were full of people, very crowded and impossible to navigate with proper social distancing, and there was no sign indicating where to grab a disinfected cart or dolly as every supermarket in town have been doing for a while. Although the vast majority of my neighbors were ignoring recommendations and were not wearing masks, I am beside myself after seeing several of your associates not wearing one either. So I was protecting myself for them, sweating and never removing my mask while loading large bags of soul in a dolly but they cannot protect me? I am 60+ and I only leave my home every 15 days with a detailed shopping list, and this is the first time I felt my health and well being were threatened in my neighborhood so far in close to two months. What can I say being the first time I come to a Lowe's, usually it's a home depot but let me start by saying very clean and big but I didn't find sara to be very helpful.. We walk up to the self checkout and ask her for military discount, she makes us go to regular register. Really? Not out of courtesy that we were already on the self checkout.. I can't say enough about Lowe's appliance team. Our water heater was on the fritz and we had to buy a water heater- twice. We got a good deal but at first the installers couldn't get the wh to code without moving it across the property. So we canceled. Great customer service btw! The plumbers were great. S & P Plumbers. They helped us get a permit through the City of Port Hueneme. Then wh went out completely so we bought the appliance again. Again Lowe's was great! We bought wh at 6pm when schedule department had already gone for the day. Oscar and Ruben at Lowe's made it work for us to schedule wh the next day. Four days without hot water was enough! I understand my emailed coupon cannot becdoubled up with sale price but at times the clerk and manager Nicole will use my coupon and not honor it at the same time??? I found a range I wanted at the Lowes in Ventura and unfortunately they were out of stock. They did however let me know that there were 10 in stock at the Oxnard location. I went there with the info in hand and GRISELDA in the appliance department processed my order immediately. Super friendly, knowledgeable, made the whole process quick and easy. MILITARY READ THIS. I moved from a new duty station and bought a new dryer because mine died on me, so I got a new washer and dryer. The customer service will leave you on hold for 30 min then just hang up. We were told that we would receive a delivery in a couple days then it turned into a week and a half then the next day I called they told me the appliance workers are on lunch. I called 2 and a half hours later and they told me they were on lunch for another 45 min. The products here are great but the people and customer service are absolutely terrible. read more

I would rate this location with less than 1 if possible. Went in last weekend to purchase a microwave, the middle I wanted had to be ordered. Also ordered install and delivery. The sales person, Juan Vasquez told me the microwave would be there in less than a week. Come to find out a week later after hearing nothing, I find out he never even ordered the microwave. I've called the store numerous times and have been promised phone calls back yet no one ever returns the call. I just keep getting transferred from department and to department. The women's restroom was very unsanitary and filthy. I saw multiple employees standing around talking to each other while the restrooms could have been cleaned. I was not able to use the restroom because of how filthy it was and had to go to a nearby location and return to lowes after. I hate Home Depot, crowded, guys standing in parking lot, looking for job. every1 busy. So I try to avoid that place as much as possible, Always try to goto Lowes. less people. But the shape of the store makes it hard to find stuff. the store is like L or T-shape. Some of the workers are new and walking around doing nothing. If you ask them where to find some items. They just point you to a #lane. Most of the time they are busy taking to each others and laughing. Some guys are like (please please don't ask me,)They turn and run the other way kinda attitude. We attempted to have our kitchen remodel done by Lowe's. We had everything paid for and our contract signed in July and, as of now, at the end of October, we are still waiting on cabinets to be delivered without defects. There has been delay after delay and the Lowe's staff has overall been horrible. They blame each other for giving us incorrect information and for each delay. They don't return phone calls or emails and leave us just waiting with uncertainty after paying a great deal for a kitchen remodel. There are so many working parts with such poor communication that my husband ended up having to contact the cabinet company directly. It seems like the cabinet company Lowe's contracts with is extremely unreliable and has not been able to send us a quality product. We were waiting for our 3rd shipment of cabinets, by the time we cancelled our whole kitchen product. The design staff is very friendly and very good at what they do, so we were initially sold on using Lowe's based on their skill and design. Their contractor also seemed to know what he was doing and was very helpful. However, every other person we worked with seemed inadequately qualified to do their job. After Lowe's broke the contract we signed because of their constant delays and being unable to give us a start date for our kitchen, we asked for a full refund. read more

I had better customer service at the Ventura, CA Lowe's. Today, hubby & I was looking for a part for our broken toilet lever. The store is so big that we ask directions to the plumbing section. Well, we found the plumbing section, but not the part. Saw an employee talking on the phone nearby. He saw me looking at him and looking for something on the shelves. But when I heard him finish his call, he walked away without asking me if I needed help. I saw that my hubby was still looking for the part, so I called after the employee who ignored me. He showed us where the part was, but didn't bother asking if we had any questions. He just walked on with his co-worker. Poor customer service. Turns out my hubby had questions that I couldn't answer, so I pressed the service call button. To my dismay, that same rude employee showed up. Wish I could remember his name. As my hubby was asking the questions, I was watching & listening how this employee answers. Have you ever felt like the other person was thinking you are asking stupid questions? Well, that's how I felt when this employee was answering my hubby's questions. My hubby is not stupid....he is not a plumber either. This employee was no help at all after he left us. We left the store empty-handed. We went to a better & smaller hardware store in Port Hueneme near the Navy base. Stay away from the Lowe's employee in Oxnard who has "lazy eyes". We just purchased a Maytag washer. We shopped Home Depot and Costco and Lowes was the only store to have the washer in stock. Score 1 for Lowe's. Home Depot and Costco gave me dates of 10 days. We drove from Camarillo to Lowe's in Oxnard. Online it showed the store having 6 washing machines, we were thrilled to find out that they actually did have stock Score 2 for Lowe's. They were able to find the item (Score 3) measure the box to see if it would fit in our SUV (Score 4) lent us a tape measure to measure our Sequoia (Score 5) helped us load it (Score 6) plus the store is well lit (Score 7) well staffed (who ever gets to say that now days! (Score 8) the displays are lovely and I wanted to buy many things feature (Score 9) and the staff was super friendly (especially Bob and Ryan) and plus the store was clean as in spotless. I went into the Oxnard, California store last night to purchase a new Side by Side Refrigerator and new Gas Self-Cleaning Range for my Son and Daughter in Law. Also, I needed to get some paneling cut, but they refused to do this telling me it is against Company Policy? Needless to say, I left for Home Depot three mile away and bought the Refrigerator and Range and they happily cut the panels for me. Lowes has a great selection of products where you can get almost anything you need. That being said, I will never ever order anything custom from Lowe's again! We ordered Carpet, a man came and measured and said it was anticipated it would be installed in a couple weeks. We chose a carpet color, it wasn't available for sometime so we chose another color to get it installed sooner. When the installer for Lowe's called it turned out to be a month of waiting instead of a couple weeks. Then began the calls and disconnected calls... Spoke to a wonderful lady who offered to intervene for us and try and get an earlier installation date. We were supposed to get a call the next day, but that didn't happen so I called them. Went through the menu, got to installations was disconnected. Call back and was transferred somewhere else where they said we need to talk to someone in installations, transferred again and the call was dropped. Called customer service and went through 2 to 3 menus it rang and rang and the call was dropped. Called again... Chose deliveries... It rang and was disconnected again. Called and tried installations again and was disconnected. Called again. I chose Spanish this time and the man who answered said he would transfer me to customer service where I was finally connected to the lady I spoke to the day before. They were having problems with the Company Lowes contracted to do installations. The woman was trying to help us and said even employees are frustrated and have reported to the company that calls are being dropped. I guess we're not that important... You would think a customer's call would be the most important. We will not go through any custom installation at Lowe's again. I'm ready to throw my phone through the window... but then I'd have to deal with Verizon! Ugh read more

Inept staff at return desk and checkout. I returned two items and noticed that the merchandise card they gave me was less value than what I returned. None of the staff knew how to fix it or they were playing dumb. Thus is the second time they have shorted my return. Assistant manager, Hector was called but he was unable to fix the staffs mistake. Hector unfortunately kept saying he was the store manager, yet his name tag identified him as the assistant store manager. Either way, he was as dumb as his staff. They dont know their business and routinely can't assist you with an item your looking for. This same Hector told me the refrigerator I wanted was not in stock and wouldn't be for several months. Yet once home I ordered the fridge on their website and it was delivered within a few days. So either is playing stupid, or he really is stupid because he did not know what was in stock and misinformed me. Later for Lowe's I'm returning to their competitor. read more

Huge parking lot, takes some getting use to. Still miss the abandoned Safeway and the Carriage Square layout. The first Lowe's I ever went was in Oceanside. I needed some straps and it was the only store that was of convenience near Pendleton. Luckly, there was a display with straps and cables, facing the entrance. Now, this one. I was looking for lawnmower air filters, plastic anchors, caulking, and a few other items. I am more familiar with Home Depot, needles to say, I needed some familiarization. The price for the filter I needed was average, however, HD has a similar filter. For the same price, including the housing for it. HD, winner. Plastic anchors, from what I saw, only came on packs with accompanying screws. Not alone, like I was hoping. HD, has various packs of anchors without screws. Winner, HD. The caulking, easy to find and only thing I bought. Just to not walk out without buying something. Lowe's is geared towards, novices. read more

I was extremely disappointed in this specific locations. I was assisted by a young man in the home and garden section. He was assisting me in purchasing a metal patio. I had asked him if lowers delivers and assembles the product. The young mans responded "yes" we assemble this item. I asked him 2 times and he continued to assist in check -out. This young man was had me convinced. I was extremely happy. Upon delivery: 1) They stated the delivery time was between 10am-12 noon. They didn't call until 1:00pm as a courtesy they should at least call and say they are running late on deliveries. I work so I don't have time to be waiting around. 2) They dropped off the item (unassembled) Today I contacted lowes and spoke with David and his excuse was the employee was new. I'm an employee for a company and if I don't know the answer I do not provide people with the wrong information. This was very poor customer service and now I have to find someone to assemble this product and spend more money -------- Outcome of complaint and inconvenience: Absolutely nothing was done. I would like to give NONE star. If I could. Poor service! Today I try to buy electronic lights, I waiting for more then 1hour to have an assistant. I ask katy to help me. she said, " I don't know, I need to clock out now. Someone will be help you soon." I told her, I waited more then 1 hour, if I can see the manager. She took me to one of the old women name on Susie. I ask her about the lights. she was keeping said "I DON'T KNOW" just wait. Someone will help you soon. So it is exactly as I expected, After having a very negative experience 30 minutes ago at the Ventura store I'm here in Oxnard and had exactly the same request, And the young man told me that he did not have a saw to cut plastics. Even though I was disappointed that lowes does not provide a saw to their employees to cut plastic tubing, I just have to note that,The difference was how he delivered his no. He said as much as he would like to he was sorry he didn't have the proper saw to cut plastic tubing. Then he directed as where the rain gutter materials were. After getting the 10' section of rain gutter and the 2 elbows we proceeded to the professional check out. There we were met not by one but by 2 very nice young ladies. They greeted as with a smile and were very pleasant. They had nothing negative to say even though I was still fuming about the clerk in the venturous store. Days 2 young ladies or very professional and didn't have anything badd or negative to say about Ventura store. Day we're just happy that we came there and they even bragged a little bit about how awesome the manager Anna is. Keep up the good work Oxnard you definitely have my business. read more
