Support the local guy!!! Argonaut is easy to support as they do such a wonderful job of curating all of their adult beverage selection. Not to mention they have Snooze's bloody mary mix ( the real dill ). If you like bloody's ....get it ...it is ahmazing. Great selection of liquor, beer, wines etc. Friendly staff. Great parking lot. Easy layout. Good prices.

I've heard many times this is a great spot to see a good variety of craft beers! I appreciate the parking lot for sure. We picked up some goods. I do wish they had more singles to pick from but we still got some really great beers to try out! They also had a small but great snack section. I loved they had the local brand, Jerry's snack mix's here!

Dave reached out to me and has apologized about the employee who I didn't have the most pleasant time with expressed in my review earlier. I strongly appreciate it the fact that he reached out to me via phone as well as responding on yelp. I'm now definitely a regular, and My experiences have definitely improved since my review. Kieran is an exceptional employee. He is usually in the self checkout line. He is super nice, very attentive, and funny ! I feel good now about spending my money here and really Kieran deserves a raise, praise, and more. THAT is the type of service I was expecting. The previous experience with the other employee was like night and day. Now go get you some spirits!

Argonaut is one of the very few places (that I have found) to have my favorite and strange Loopy (think fruit loops!) vodka. I seriously hunt this down every time I run out. I had been to a few stores around Denver to find my fellow loopy friend without success. I called Argonaut just to see thinking they wouldn't have it. Opposite!!!! They had a whole case! I zoomed on over and took them all! I am pretty sure the supply will last me well past my death but I never want to run out I love it so much! Problem of hunting this down solved. The employees I think thought I was crazy but we had a great chuckle over it. They even talked me into getting one more to get the case price (10% off). Life saver! As a whole, try this place first for your every booze need. When I called they were extremely friendly and fun! Always an excellent experience here!

This store has a big collection of all kinds of liquor and beers and wine etc. I didn't find what I came for but it is a very pleasant store. Apparently they had mulled wine but they sold out...I will definitely come back in a week or so when it might be back.

I love this place. They have everything. A huge selection of beer and an enormous selection of wines. They even have rare and expensive wines upstairs where they sometimes have tastings too. There is an area where they are promoting some wines at really good prices. And of course almost every kind of liquor you can imagine. The prices are always good and the parking lot is plenty big, even when they are really crowded.

How have I not reviewed Argonaut yet? Argonaut was the first booze haul I made as a Denver resident last summer! Though I tend to spread the love throughout the many great local liquor stores we have, Argonaut is at the top of the list for a reason. COVID mood: drinking at 5pm on the dot. Maybe a tad sooner? Guilty as charged. I've been experimenting with classic cocktails for years, and I'm usually swapping the bar cart on a constant basis to grow my repertoire. Argonaut seems like a big box store. And I say that in the most flattering way. Prices are cheap, as they seem to always have sales and promotions. Selection is equally massive and well stocked. Customer service usually spot on. The parking lot can be a nightmare at times, but whaddya gonna do? During COVID, I placed an online order. Easy peasy. Keep in mind, due to the influx of orders and extreme circumstances, they have been shutting down the ordering system occasionally. I placed my order yesterday morning and within an hour they confirmed it, while telling me it's available for curbside pickup. I parked in their dedicated curbside pickup spots, called the store, and a rep brought out my order within a few minutes. The employee was wearing a protective mask, checked my ID without touching it, and gently placed the box of booze in my front seat. Much appreciated! The haul you ask? Workhorse spirits for making cocktails. Evan Williams 100 Proof Bourbon, Espolon Silver Tequila, Havana Club White Rum, Cointreau, and Cocchi Torino. Five bottles for $100 is extremely reasonable! For $10 more you can have your order delivered. It's been at least a week since I left the house, so I figured I'd make the quick drive down Colfax on the beautiful Sunday it was. Thanks Argonaut for allowing me to keep my barcart stocked during this craziness!

Great selection of beer and wine. Almost anything you would want for. Go check them out and have some fun!

They have a clearance wine section!

Absolutely great selection of boozey things. Usually great prices, especially on the popular brands. Wine, beers, ciders, hard liquors -- you got it! There's a loyalty program, but kind of annoying nothing counts if it's "on sale" - booooooo. Also, they could for sure improve on their cider options. Someone needs to get to work on that and get to drinking. There's a ton of great product out in the world that I wish they'd get. Same with beers. Also, they can improve on the "sale wine" facade. Anyone who drinks wine better have the Vivino app! Look stuff up on the app first to see ratings and average price. It kinda pisses me off when I see Argonaut has it "on sale" for $15.99, normally priced $19.99 and then the Vivino app says average price is $12.99. Not cool! But, I'm glad as heck this is a few blocks away. Especially during #coronavirus2020

He was clearly super knowledgeable about tequila and was really happy to discuss chat about their huge selection of hand picked labels. There was no condescension or arrogance as he educated me about the different labels. He ended up steering me towards a lower priced, but still quality label, since I was mostly using it for mixing. They also carry beers, wines, and other liquors, so I will be back to check out those selections as well. What a great find!

The difference between this store and many others is in the management/ownership. Eddie, the owner, considers it his responsibility to provide his customers with a highly curated, but still broad, selection at a reasonable price, and takes his work very seriously. He personally tastes every wine on the shelf before deciding whether to stock it. The wine inventory changes somewhat over time based on availability, as it should. You won't see a lot of obvious, mass-produced wines here. What you will find are very, very well-crafted wines from all the major (and many of the minor) top wine-producing areas of the world. Prices are reasonable: Not rock-bottom, but not what you'd expect from a shop in a somewhat ritzy neighborhood. There is also a very impressive selection of Tequilas and some other types of liquor as well.

Here's to you Great American Beer Store! For letting me buy my first Sunday beer. Sure it was cheap…read more(PBR), but hey, it was for kickball. And we all know drinking cheap beer is a step (perhaps a small one, but a step nonetheless) above drinking water while playing kickball. We pulled in and decided to attempt your drive-thru. We actually had to drive through the parking lot, back into the street and then into the drive-thru line. (Kym B is not lying - this is not a place made for multiple cars to drive through.) But, as we drove away, 12 beers heavier and 8 dollars lighter I felt a tremendous sense of satisfaction. The inside seems like it might be sketchy based on the outside appearance. However, the man working there was super nice, lamenting the fact that he couldn't have a TV to keep himself occupied during the slower parts of the day and making general conversation with us while someone else got the cold ones for us. Strange fact - they didn't have the 12-pack of beers. They gave us 2 sixers instead. And it's true that they won't let you pay with credit cards in the drive-thru line (unless you have kids).

I pondered this as I sat in my car, third in line at The Great American Beer Store's drive-thru window, the ass-end of my Rav4 hanging out into Westbound Alameda traffic. "This is so not safe," I thought to myself, sneaking a glance at my sleeping baby in the back seat. However, for those of us who often find themselves running errands avec bebe, drive-thru liquor windows are a godsend. I mean, nothing's trashier than grabbing six bottles of Boone's Farm Apple Wine Product while wheeling a stroller. Just because we're parents doesn't mean we don't need to get our sip on! In fact, we might need it more... *smirk* But I digress. The Great American Beer Store has TWO drive-up windows, but today only the one closest to the street was open. Hence, the precarious position in which I found myself. You can only sit two-deep in that line for the first window without hanging over the curb and into traffic. And I thought to myself, "this is totally going in my review. One star, DOCKED!" But eventually I got up to the window and was reminded why I patronize this place so frequently. A little sign to my left read: WINDOW IS CASH ONLY, CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED INSIDE. Oh no! The cashier lady smiled at me though, and said, "don't worry... we make exceptions for people with sleeping babies." Now THAT's what I'm talkin' about! Because, after all, I was indeed-y picking up six bottles of Boone's Farm Apple Wine Product. Don't ask. Prices are cheap here, and it's definitely THE place to go if you need a keg for a party. It's also THE place to go for Boone's Farm. Shocking, but can you believe not every liquor store carries it? Criminal, I say! Extra bonus points for the guy with no teeth who always has treats for car-riding doggies. It's that little extra touch that means oh-so very much.
