I normally do not leave negative reviews, but our experience at LR Nail Bar on June 12th was extremely uncomfortable and disappointing. The manager working that day accused us of saying we did not want a certain nail technician, which was completely untrue. We were simply visiting from Florida and had no history with the salon or staff. The interaction quickly became awkward and confrontational, and we were then made to feel as though the staff no longer wanted to service us. We have honestly never experienced anything like this at a nail salon before. Instead of feeling welcomed as customers,it extremely uncomfortable. It was a very upsetting interaction, especially considering we were just visitors trying to enjoy a relaxing appointment. Hopefully management can work on professionalism and communication moving forward so other customers do not have a similar experience. read more

Absolutely horrible! Will never go there again, the nail tech at station 10 doesn't know what square means first off. I asked for a square set 3-4 times and still got almond cause they "look more natural" her exact words. They are all crooked and she kept telling me they weren't even though it's actually horrible. The paint job looks so rushed and the underneath of my nails is 10 times worse. There was acrylic left under them on my skin, the sides are missing paint. They're terrible and money hungry people. I called to get a SHAPE-UP and the lady who answered stated that they were busy. Cool; that's no big deal. My brother called less than 5 minutes later to ask if his girlfriend could come in for a full set and they said for him to come on. It seems as if they were only willing to do a service if you were paying a certain amount of money. I called to discuss this with the owner and she hung up in my face. It's bad because I've been going to this establishment for over THREE years and they treat their customers like that. I will never step foot in there again and I'll never refer anyone either. When I arrived I was quickly moved to a seat. I was given a menu and made a choice. The woman told me I would have to add the $5 wax dip which I didn't want. Then she said I really needed the $60 one and I insisted I did not. She said again that I needed it and I politely declined. Then I started to check the color choices and she said "I'm going to do gel" and I said no thank you, I don't like how gel feels on feet. She proceeded to insist and i had to be a bit firm but I was still polite. When she started the pedicure I asked her to not use the "cheese grater" and next thing I knew she was using it. My nails were also trimmed too short and I didn't ask them to be trimmed at all (at other salons I'm used to being asked so that one could be on me). After refusing all the add ons she offered, I almost felt like it was used against me and the rest of the pedicure was simply sub par. The massage was next to nothing which was super disappointing I will not be returning to this salon and would not recommend it to anyone. I feel like today was a waste of my money. New to the area. I went here to get a SNS dip manicure. Not even 24 hours later, one of my nail chipped and one came off. The next day majority of my nails started lifting. Have really enjoyed LR Nail Bar on my previous 3-4 experiences, but today it was a whole different group of nail techs and a different atmosphere, today was hurry and get finished and get the next person in the chair. I left with polish on my skin, a gap on my nails that looks like almost a week of growth and he never filed them. The only thing that is allowing me to give this place one star instead of one star or ZERO is the lady that did my eyebrow wax. She was amazing! Her customer service was top notch. The gentleman that did my pedicure and full set acrylic set was below the standards of a place that does full sets for 21.00. Let's start with the pedicure..... after painting my toes it looks like I'm a week out from needing a pedicure. There is a very noticeable gap between cuticle line and where the polish starts. Full set: he started to glue the nails on. One nail he put on was super crooked. I had to tell him more than once it was crooked and he said okay. The last time I pulled my hand back and said please replace the crooked nail before putting on the acrylic. I got ombré nails but my nails look super dull. I was trying this place because of the reviews but did not experience what others did. It makes me question the validity of the reviews. The kicker is after he told me the cost of my nails (before doing them) he says "can you pay that" Sir if was a issue with payment I would not have been in the establishment. I 100% believe I was profiled. I never heard anyone else asked that while in the shop. I was there for two hours. Also there is no social distancing at all. I have been going here for years and I have never had bad service like I did yesterday. The lady that did my pedicure for one cut the side of my foot. Before that, she made fun of the callus and laughed. She also said something about my big toenail on my left foot, that it dipped a little. She laughed then as well. I really like this nail salon. Every time I go my manicurist, Jane, she does a wonderful job. Today I went and my nail chipped a couple of hours after I got home. I called to see if I could get it fixed, and Jane fixed it with no problem. I was so appreciative! My manicure looks amazing, and I've gotten a few compliments during the day today. I will continue to come here, because I have never had a bad experience in the year that I have been getting my nails done here. I requested a shellac manicure and a regular polish classic pedicure. Without asking I was given a dip manicure and a shellac pedicure, which they charged an additional $15 for. If you want to have a specific service or design you will need to speak up frequently. I did not know I was getting a shellac pedicure until he finished the last coat and wiped it with a towel. They had put on the light to cure (which I thought was maybe just something they do to dry regular polish quicker). I didn't know I was being charged for a shellac pedicure until after they printed the receipt. I commented to the receptionist that I was confused because I had asked for a shellac manicure not a dip manicure and her response was "well, the price is the same. Dip is better." They were quick and the shop is clean; however, the customer service was sub par. read more

This week was my first time trying out LR Nail Bar. Personally, I will not return to this nail salon on my own. My only service request was for a pedicure. This being said I only can speak for my pedicure experience. My right big toe was cut while getting my pedicure. It may sound strange to say, but I believe it was his way of getting my attention because I was in the middle of talking to my friends and wasn't answering his question. I will admit that I didn't realize he was speaking to me until after he cut me with the drill. After I pulled my foot away and looked at him, he proceeded to ask if I chose my color and continued the pedicure without apologizing or acknowledging he had accidentally cut me. I felt the whole process of receiving my pedicure was rushed. You know how you normally soak your feet in water for a few minutes before taking them out for them to work on your feet? This time, however, I did not have the same experience. I had regular polish, so when the person finished, he simply stood up and walked away; he didn't tell me to sit under the dryer nor gave me my slip, as my friend's individual did. So sorry to have to do this. As you can see from my previous review, I really wanted to like this place. My most recent manicure is an absolute disaster. The lady who did my first manicure here was a superstar manicurist. The lady who did this one made a lot of errors that made this manicure suck. And now I'm having to live with it! I opted for black powder dip and for some reason I had black smears all OVER my skin when she was finished. Around the nail, on my fingertips, on my PALM...how? I don't know. I washed my hands and there the smears remained. I asked the lady to remove it and she tried, though she was not successful in removing all the smears. She kind of shrugged at me as if it was time for me to pay and leave, even though I was not satisfied walking out like that. Ok, I was willing to let that slide, as disastrous as it was. I didn't come here and update my review and show the smears. But now, the polish is cracking and falling off in huge chunks. The vast majority of the many SNS manicures I've had have stayed completely in tact until my next manicure. That's why I get this manicure--because it doesn't chip. Well, this one does. Additionally, I am not a fan of the "soak your entire fingertips in acetone for half an hour" method of removing old polish. My fingertips were shriveled up for days afterward and I can't even imagine what that does to my skin and my body. Can't you just scrape the top, apply cotton and wrap around with foil like everyone else does? I will not be returning and the hunt for a good nail salon in central arkansas continues. read more

I let it slide... this particular time I asked for my nails to be cut down and the guy said "no" I'll file them down wellll he didn't...today makes a week since I've been and my dip nails are cracking ! I went in to get a gel manicure with tips and the guy doing my nails cut my finger pinky finger open with a file and didn't say anything he only reacted to me moving my hand away . He proceeded to file it not being gentle at all and then cut it even worse then when he saw all the blood he still didn't say anything and just put the drops on my finger that stop the bleeding. He just carried on with the whole service and then they charged me $70 for my nails that don't even all match in length and the shaping is not good. They are already chipping on the second day too! Not to mention there is random dips where he didn't cure my nails correctly AND I didn't even receive the manicure service. I hope I don't get an infection. The manager said they can't do anything about it, but they will offer me a discount next time and that it was only an accident. I don't see how cutting me twice within 10 seconds of eachother IN THE SAME SPOT is an accident.. I would also not have been as mad if he had apologized to me instead of keeping quiet after I said jerked my hand back and said ow. I will not be going back here and I do not recommend it. I would give it a -100 if I could. I went to get a deluxe pedicure on July 30th, 2023. I had asked for gel. Before she even applied anything, she ROUGHLY cut at my cuticles, cut away parts of my nail so short it caused me to flinch multiple times from pain. Before she went to file my toes, I spotted the file. It was used. She DIPPED THE USED FILE in the water that my feet were in to rinse it off. It is literally illegal to use used tools on clients. I was in complete and utter shock when I saw that. It is malpractice and that should've been my red flag because it gets so much worse. A day passes and I wake up with spots and irritation all over my leg. As the day progresses they start to become boils and my leg by this point is double in size from swelling. I immediately go to my doctor and she says it is not one but TWO TYPES of staph on my leg. Now I'm on 2 medications in order to clear their mess. Go here if you want to pay 70$ for a half ass job and then a 100$ doctor bill afterwards too. Also their attitudes towards customers is incredibly cold and they rush you to make decisions. They will pester you about getting a manicure until you're forced to say yes because "they didn't understand." Weaponized incompetence in order to make sales is a nasty nasty business tactic. If I would have known I would have taken pictures and videos during because I considered taking legal action but I'm going to report them to the department of health instead. My experience here was absolutely disgusting, traumatizing, and the least relaxing thing I have ever experienced. Save your money and your skin please. read more

I made a reservation for 3 people: 2 shellac manicures, 1 pedicure, and 2 eyebrow waxes. When I got there, they seemed to think the appointment was for 1 person and so we had to wait almost an hour. The pedicure was great. My friend's eyebrows had skin ripped off and she end up with blisters. I had to go get my nails fixed at a different place within three days because they were cracked and breaking. I've had a shellac manicure hundreds of times, that's not normal. It was horrible. However, I got "Lynn" this time. she Rushed through the pedicure while my whole Hands soaked in acetone. The polish on my nails also do not match my toenails. She never checked until after the appointment was over if I liked the polish or anything. Never offered water to drink. Overall poor quality of both mani and pedi as well.
