I had my FSS case transferred out here from LA County. HACLA sent my FSS case over. It was confirmed. And yet these people had the audacity to lie to my face and claim my case wasn't even in their system. That is not incompetence, that is a choice. There are virtually no resources made available to people coming from LA County. No guidance, no referrals, no real support just the runaround. Every step of trying to receive the help I am legally entitled to has been a fight. A constant, exhausting, demoralizing fight. I have watched how differently things operate for others. If you are white or of Asian descent, you will be directed to the right channels, connected to resources, and treated like your case matters. Being Black in Irvine, being Black in Orange County, isa different experience entirely. The disparity is not subtle. It is glaring, and it is real, and it is racism. To the staff who have deliberately stalled, lied, and looked the other way: I see you. I have documentation. And I will keep fighting regardless. May your pillow never be cold at night.

I recently got a car last month and…read moreI already got it towed because they, "couldn't see" my parking permit even though it is in the corner with the windshield wiper. The picture they showed me was taken from a horrendous angle on their 2010s iPad. TLDR, I had to pay $500 to get my car back and the people there said they get Bradford cars every week or so. The security has a vendetta against anything that breathes or they have a mutual deal with the towing company. HOA NEVER RESPONDS. I have called them at their office multiple times regarding numerous issues and no one ever picks up. I tried finding their office but there is literally no sign pointing to where it even is. I just walked around the neighborhood HOPING to run into security just to find out where I can go to get my car back. Additionally, they repainted all the houses last year so that they would all match. They painted over the screen door, mailbox, and windows. They broke my mailbox and said that I needed to replace it because it violated their rules, so my landlord had to replace both the screen door and the mailbox to match all the other houses. So if you want to live in a black mirror episode, this is the place for you! I am so sorry to anyone who owns a home here, luckily I only rent so I can leave as soon as my lease is up.

David and Ron with Assembly are two of the most dedicated managers I have met in LA. My family is no stranger to property owning; we understand "the good and the bad and the nightmares" of owning properties, HOA boards, and management companies. I had a pipe burst in my master bedroom, and David oversaw the remediation "by the book". It was timely, met the various benchmarks to avoid potential litigation, and was well within an acceptable time vs cost comparison, for the scope of work. Although I STILL currently have no ceiling in my second bedroom (due to a secondary issue/active roof leak), David and Ron are working tirelessly with my HOA Board and their requested vendors to resolve the issues as "cheaply" as possible for the Board. Timely and efficient might not be in my HOA Board's vocabulary when "cheap" is the priority, but I know that Ron and David have the heart and dedication to resolve issues in an equitable, fair, and efficient way. Thirty days and counting without a ceiling and active roof leaks might be my HOA Board member's "normal," but David and Ron manage that expectation with professionalism. David and Ron prioritize people, owners, and their overall investment from a big-picture POV, and that is what you want in a manager and management company. David and Ron are the first point of contact for a plethora of problems that arise daily for people just simply living their lives, and who need help getting back to their "normal". David and Ron's temperament puts them on par with sainthood. They are two of the best. Customer service is not lost with David and Ron. I hope they never leave Assembly or change condo assignments. They are a great asset to Assembly, and Assembly Management is fantastic.
