    T-bone steak and baked potato.
    Niccole A.

Visited this restaurant for the first time on Father's Day with my wonderful dad. He chose this place because it's one his favorite restaurants in the town that he lives. It's an older restaurant so the decor was old, dated, and uncomfortable. However the food I have to say was pretty tasty, which was the best part. The service was extremely slow because of the holiday, but they also messed up by not submitting our order into the electronic system correctly so we ended up waiting longer for our food to be prepared after they figured out the error. They discounted the bill by $10 which I felt should have been $20 for as long as we waited. But it is what it is. I would carry order from here again but it would definitely be carry out instead as I didn't enjoy the dine-in experience at all.

First, i thought these places died out like ponderosa. Which may mean those steakhouses are still out there, who knows? Stepping in here is like going into a Time Machine in a good way: the food is plentiful and reasonably priced. This plate was north of $20 but only because of added bits like the mushroom and onions which completely cover the 8oz steak underneath. The atmosphere is covered with old decor but it's pretty tasteful and fits the theme. Okay, so what about the food? Well you get the salad and rolls with any meal. The salad is drenched in dressing, but it's also not overpowering. It just works, even if i feel like it shouldn't. The bread balances it out as it's soft but also a bit bland, it just helps even out the taste. The food is great, but also oddly sweet (use of rosemary?) which will be a hit or miss for some people. The mushrooms were very strong in that with this in mind. The servers aren't too bad, but more than once our guy left after asking to not reappear again for several minutes. Maybe there was something going on I couldn't see. Also they forgot minor things like butter for the baked potato that was easily fixed. Overall, you're going to leave stuffed and content but maybe speak up to make sure your server hears because it may be a bit loud? Or maybe I'm just a bit quiet.

Went here on a weekday night. My family had gone twice before, but this was my first time. Be warned there isn't much for a vegetarian and nothing for a vegan, but it's a steakhouse so no surprise there. The normal dinners on the back of the menu are served with salad, rolls with honey butter, and a choice of potato. I had a portobello mushroom sandwhich with mushrooms, but stole some salad and bread from my family. Be aware the salad comes with bacon normally. The sandwhich and fries needed some seasoning in my opinion. I ended up taking half home so I'll try playing around with seasoning on the burger. The fries had some seasoning, but not much. My family liked their steak and potatoes. One liked his portobello chicken while another felt his was very chewy and rubbery so he didn't finish it. The decor is kind of like a bar, and there is an actual bar as well. Servoce was good with a friendly server, good times, and lots of parking. Overall it was a nice night out.

I stopped in with family for dinner last Wednesday, 29Mar23 ~1640. There were a few tables seated, but not many. I guess all of the restaurants on Lex-Springmill has taken a chunk of their business over the years. We have not visited for 5-6 years as we have been living in SoCal till this January. Walking in and looking around, all look great! No dirty tables, clean floors...just what you want to see! Betty was our server. A wonderful personality who made our visit 4 stars instead of 3! We ordered adult beverages and their Fried Pickles as a starter. Though I was disappointed that they did not carry Knob Creek, the Fried Pickles more than made up for it! Eight pickle quarters fried in a tempura batter that were absolutely delicious! Highly recommended! We ordered our main courses. Two pork chops, filet mignon, and NY Strip. My Mom and her partner had the pork chops with sweet potatoes. They enjoyed their dishes without a complaint. My NY Strip was more rare than medium-rare but I do not have issue with that. My wife's medium-well filet was a different story. It was actually rarer than my steak. We pointed that out to Betty and off she went with my wife's steak. 17 minutes later my wife's steak came back. One half well done and the other half charred. Not sure if the cook was trying to tell us something or not. My wife was able to eat the well done half and left the rest. When the manager came by to ask us how dinner was, we told her in full detail. I was very happy that she took my wife's meal off the check! Thank you! Overall, it was an okay dinner with Betty and the comp making it better. I just think back to my time, in high school, grilling steaks at a local restaurant. It required a little skill but a high schooler was paid to do it. I may be mistaken l, but the person manning the grill seemed much older. We may be back to give them another shot. If you decide to go, make sure you ask for Betty, she does a great job!

We didn't want to wait for a table to open up in the regular restaurant so we decided to eat at the GASTRONOMIA Italian Deli (same kitchen as the back restaurant). My wife is handicapped and some very kind ladies moved to a "high" table so we could sit at a lower table. We ordered from a young lady with the most amazing blue eyes and she brought our food when it was ready. My wife had the Muffuletta Sub and I had the Mighty Meatball Sub. My wife could only eat 1/4 of her sandwich and I could only eat 1/2 of mine. If you have ever lived in one of the two places I mentioned, you know good Italian . This was WONDERFUL Italian. I can't wait to go back there!

My Old Fashioned was sickly sweet and my wife's Rocking Chair was definitely missing something. I asked for an up Manhattan and we all ordered. So bartender can handle 6+4 and all happy but kitchen, host, and server staff can't handle 9 people eating at once ? Kinda hard to run a restaurant like that. Maybe should try being a bar. Got 3 steaks all ordered medium . One was medium , one was well done, one was just burnt . The wagyu sushi was the most overcooked meat I have ever eaten. Was in Japan less than month ago and ate wagyu every day ; this was not Wagyu . Was not sushi . Was just scrap burnt meat piled in seaweed. This is not maki. The table was not set . For the pricing , I would expect the table to be set . Drinks were wrong and never refilled in a two hour dinner . This is a random small town, but based on pricing you'd see in Boston, Atlanta, New York - it is not the quality they are asking for . Especially not the service . Every menu item didn't match the descriptions Plating was well done , thats about the only compliment . Place is tacky inside , stairs to go to bathroom, weird temu valet light spinning at host stand , weird Star Wars stuff and other weird stuff mixed into decor . Kitchen looks angry , stares at you when you walk by Fish overcooked and dry McDonald's level cooking execution of what seem to be well made recipes , plated like fine dining , and in the setting of a dive bar , and prices of Morton's , and the taste worst than any restaurant I've eaten at on a 30 day road trip including chain restaurants . Need new FOH and BOH manager , and all new kitchen staff, need to redo decor and pick a theme, need to fix menus to match dishes , and get new servers . I mean that leaves almost nothing work keeping except the dishes , the presentation , and the bartender that were actually good and worth keeping

Super cute, clean, has a nice case that offers a large variety of cuts. We like that the meat is locally sourced. We like how friendly the staff is. Usually the meat we get is excellent. However, the last trip wasn't perfect. we came up on June 2nd, purchased two large racks of beef ribs, 9 pounds of pork butt, 6 bacon burgers. and some beyond spicy jerky. Total cost 191.14. Kind of felt that was a bit high tbo but this was my husbands order so i just stood there observing. Now I expect some fat on ribs. When the man that handled our order he said "i took off some (meat) off the top before you came. Here they are". I thought.. "thats weird. Why would u trim off meat." But again said nothing. We will get to that in a bit.... We get home. Cooked the six bacon burgers which were crazy good. They grind bacon into the beef and form a patty for you. They were very nice. Would drive up get again. My son next cracks open the jerky. Spicy is an understatement. Its super duper crazy spicy. Now, I like spicy, so does half my family. Fair warning this may of been the spiciest Ive ever had. It was right at the edge of ohhhh this might be too spicy, but didn't quite cross that line. Make sure you like spicy. It was good. I think they make it themselves. Thats a plus in our eyes. But half the family wouldn't eat it -it was that spicy. Lol. (Whimps) The next night we have our BBQ. The pork was good. Nice marbling. Smoked up nicely but for this cut alone it wasn't really worth the miles and time up there as the price of it was a bit high. Now to the ribs.... This was the item that we were driving an hour to get. All the rest were add ons. These were to be the main feature of our BBQ. Total disappointment. Not sure what was trimmed off before we got there, but it must of been most of the meat... As what we went home with was almost mostly fat and bone The ribs also were what cost the most and wow... I am shocked that they sold us those and even more shocked my husband (who is a great BBQ guy) weirdly accepted them. My point with this review is, as a customer--check your slabs of ribs. If they are fatty... and your gut say too fatty-- speak up! as this shop usually sends you home with perfect meat. Im sure there are more in the back and if Im sure they are great at suggesting a plan B. This time they missed the mark with us, but again, I have faith that if we ever go back it should be a better experience, as the other two experiences were amazing. I want to emphasize-- This isnt a place that should be skipped cuz of the rib issue. There is always a line in the shop.its a good place. However, I would recommend as a customer--check the cuts that are presented without worrying about offending the clerk if you feel the meat needs to be swapped out - if you feel its fatty or not a great cut for price, advocate for your own purchase. I feel the rib disappointment was as much our fault for not advocating as theirs for presenting that flawed slab. Sometimes you just make a mistake. We both did that day. I know we will be back for the burgers. Those were crazy good. I dont even like hamburger and I really liked the flavor of them.
