We went for our anniversary and had a delicious meal served by efficient and engaging waitresses. We ordered too much because it all sounded so good in the Yelp reviews, but we'll get to enjoy the leftovers tomorrow. Started out with the tapenade and a generous amount of Italian bread (extra bread was brought when we ran out), then tried the very tasty seasonal burrata with peaches appetizer for me and baked clams for my husband. (That was the only part of the meal that disappointed him a bit--I think he'll be more adventurous the next time we go. The clams were fine but not especially notable.) For the primi course, we shared the smaller-sized order of orechiette with sausage and pesto--delicious and plenty for us. We actually could have happily stopped at that point and ordered dessert, but we had already committed to a main course and were glad we did. My halibut was delicious (with crunchy, perfectly cooked green beans along with potatoes and mushrooms), and he really liked his chicken Milanese. The grand finale was the delicious black and white creme brulee--perfectly torched on top to caramelize the sugar, delicious vanilla and chocolate underneath. The service was outstanding. Everything came at exactly the right time so that a four-course dinner took only an hour and a half. We will definitely be back!

The wait staff checked on us many times to make sure everyone got their food and that our water cups were full. The outside of Mirabelle is beautiful, and we saw it being set up for a baby shower. My husband and I were longtime customers of Luca and always loved coming here, so when my mother-in-law gifted us a $150 gift card for our engagement, we were thrilled to use it. Unfortunately, we lost the physical card in a move. We called Luca, hoping they could look up the purchase in their system and help us recover it. The entire experience was deeply disappointing. When my mother-in-law called, she was met with suspicion, as if she was running a scam, despite her offering to provide proof of purchase. The hostess gave her the cold shoulder and repeatedly said there was nothing they could do. My husband then called himself to explain the situation, and again the response was curt and dismissive. We asked several times to speak with the manager, only to be refused and told a message would be passed along. No one ever returned our call. What should have been a simple customer service issue turned into a frustrating and disrespectful interaction. The refusal to even look into the matter or have management follow up shows a serious lack of professionalism and care for customers. This experience left such a bad impression that we will not be returning, and I urge others to think twice before purchasing a gift card here. read more

A guy playing an acoustic guitar was set up in a nice spot when we walked in, very talented and played some great classic rock songs! Our table was perfect, could easily seat four people! Right away, glasses of ice water were served with a basket of fresh semolina bread! Our waiter, Fred, came over shortly after. I have to say the service is superb! He was very courteous and attentive throughout the evening! I can't even count how many times someone came to our table to fill our glass with water! What made it worse was the complete lack of professionalism from the front staff. The two people seating guests looked miserable and unfriendly. It was apparent they were probably family, because they had no qualms about doing their jobs badly. When we raised concerns, one of the two unhappy women--who was extremely cold and dismissive--actually told us that she waits three hours when she goes out to eat, as though that somehow excused our experience. We also noticed staff talking about us, which was incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable. What was most frustrating was seeing groups of employees standing around while service was clearly falling apart. Being busy is understandable--(it was used as an excuse for everything going wrong), especially on Mother's Day--but after 20 years in business, a restaurant should know how to handle a busy night without everything unraveling. The food was disappointing as well--my veal was tough--and at no point did anyone apologize, offer any gesture of goodwill (not even a complimentary coffee), or acknowledge how poorly our evening had gone. Not even a simple "Happy Mother's Day" or goodbye as we left and we walked right by the cold, dismissive woman. The actual only highlight of our evening was when a wonderful server named Iverson came over to finish up with us, because clearly having to ask our server for sweetener three times forced her to have a possible meltdown? Unfortunately it was way too late, the damage had already been done. Now that's a charming individual, who is great with people! It certainly would have helped make a difference in our experience. This was especially heartbreaking because this restaurant has meant something to our family for years. Sadly, after this experience, we won't be returning. There are too many other restaurants that know how to treat loyal customers with respect.
