Had lunch at Pasta Pasta today, a little gem in Port Jefferson. Food was delicious and service was great!!!

On this cold January Friday night, we ventured out to Port Jefferson for a dinner out with friends. For all of us, this is a favorite spot for lots of reasons including location, warm ambiance, friendly attentive service and delicious food. This restaurant is a cozy spot that is brimming with hustle and bustle but not in a bad way. With a 7:00 pm reservation, we were immediately greeted upon entering and seated. It's a perfect spot to dine out and actually be able to chat amongst yourselves. We were never once rushed and we were able to savor not only our meals but each other's company. Warm bread with a homemade smear greeted us while we looked at our menus. Each couple started with the appetizer for two. It looked so yummy that I almost forgot to snap a photo - albeit missing one baked clam before I remembered! We each chose something different because they have lots of wonderful choices. Our dining entrees of the evening were seafood Fra Diavolo, black angus skirt steak, veal parmigiana and grilled chicken over salad. We were all happy with our dinner selections. We finished off our meals with a sorbet trio and crème' brûlée. We'll be back again! read more

5-31-26. The service was great. The vibe is pretty cool. The food was good, but not great. My table ordered veal parm, penne Alla vodka, baked chicken parm over linguini, cavatelli, spaghetti with meatballs and sausage and a shrimp, scallop, chicken and sausage dish (which was the one standout). The garlic bread was also a standout. There certainly was nothing wrong with any of the dishes but in my opinion, the portions were on the smaller side for the prices they charged. read more

Here's a restaurant where we ate out while visiting my stepdaughter. We came here for lunch after visiting some shops in the area. We had a nice gentleman as our waiter, Anthony. He was very attentive, and I approved of him liking my stepdaughter lol. The food was very good. I had seafood pasta, Hubby enjoyed his burger, and my stepdaughter had pizza. We also had some appetizers, mixed Cajun-style shrimp and chicken. I wasn't crazy about the appetizer but i enjoyed my seafood pasta. Nice quiet restaurant. This was our initial visit to Pasta Pasta located in downtown Port Jefferson. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating options. We began with the bacon-wrapped shrimp, which was exceptionally tasty. For our main courses, we chose Penne al Vodka and Ravioli Parmigiana. The staff was pleasant and very polite. For what this place charges this is some of the most mediocre and bland Italian food I have tasted. Confused about the amount of strong positive reviews. We had multiple different pasta dishes and each sauce was flavorless (even lacking salt) in particular the lemon white wine sauce in my dish tasted of nothing but oil. On a positive note for those looking for a vegan option the whole wheat penne pesto was good with a variety of vegetables. Service was lovely and why not 1 star. read more

After a day spent at the Charles Dickens festival in town, the Honey and I were famished! I love when restaurants get into the Christmas spirit! The decorations with their sparkling lights and festive greenery lifted our spirits. A singer and guitarist serenading us with Christmas carols, put smiles on our faces. Our server Sarah was friendly and knowledgeable. There were no empty tables in our section. Between Sarah and the great team of bussers, things ran smoothly. We started off with baked clams. I was expecting little necks but was surprised when served cherrystones. The clams had a lot more breading than I prefer but, were flavorful. Our entrees of veal parmigiana with rigatoni and swordfish on a bed of field greens were fresh, seasoned well and totally satisfying! Swordfish can be dry if overcooked, this dish was moist and delicious! We finished with a slice of light and fluffy NY cheesecake. Tawny port wine and herbal tea. On the way out I made sure to tell the hostess what an enjoyable meal we had. We are looking forward to returning. This establishment has been around since 1991, there's a reason for that. There was a huge dinner party, sharing the same space as my group and the table with the children was unattended to. It was very very noisy. The staff should have mentioned something to this group. It was our friend's birthday and another table nearby their friends birthday. It was so loud it was unbearable. It could have been avoided if the children were attended to. The waitress knew we were unhappy. Good customer service would have been to offer a drink or a dessert, something because the experience was horrible, and I will never go back. read more

We really wanted to like it but the food was not that good. The pear salad was too sweet and the pears dry. The cheese pizza was just not very good. The chicken dish was eh. The spaghetti bolognese was mediocre at best. Service was good but we were disappointed that they didn't bring something on the house for our special birthday celebration - as most restaurants would do. This meal cost almost $200 so a small scoop of ice cream with a candle would have been nice. I'm sorry but we would not recommend this nor eat here again. read more

Had dinner here recently. My friend and I were sat at the table literally at the entrance of the doorway. It was so uncomfortable and tight that the table behind us spilled their wine and it got on my friend's shirt. Way too busy to have a table in that location. Such a cute hidden gem in Port Jeff! Accidentally stumbled upon this place on Apple Maps when looking for a place to eat for a birthday. Had a reservation, and was sat down 5mins later. The place has 3 rooms and very busy for a Thursday night. Lighting decor is very cute. The table bread is to DIE FOR. There is garlic butter already melted into the bread itself - no need for dipping! Delicious! The food overall was very good. A steak needed to be sent back for being undercooked. The soup was VERY thick. Other than that, we had a good time. Would love to come back to try more things on the menu. read more

I went here for an impromptu lunch date with my husband and first off the decor is SO cute. Next up, their bread is like next level good. I could eat a whole meal on the bread alone. We got the calamari and while we did not care for the sauce, the calamari itself was expertly breaded. When we arrived at 5:30pm the dining area in which we were seated was almost empty. By the time we left, around 8:30pm, the room we were in and the adjacent room were almost completely full. Our waiter, Anthony, arrived, with our menus, shortly after we were seated. The menu is comprehensive and includes a variety of choices. The prix fixed menu, is not as generous. I ordered the veal parmigiana with angel hair pasta. My wife chose the grilled fish plater. We ordered a bottle of red "Valpolicella Superiore" (2018), Zenato winery. Both dishes were ample. The angel hair was cooked al dente and topped by a delicate marinara. The veal was breaded and seasoned under a perfectly melted parmigiano. The veal was heavenly. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her entree as well. The wine, although red, enhanced the flavor of both our meals. For dessert, my wife ordered the apple blueberry crumble and I had the warm molten chocolate cake. Both were excellent. While I finished my glass of wine with my cake, my wife ordered a cappuccino to accompany her dessert. THE TAKEAWAYS 1. Make a reservation! 2. There is only street parking. 3. I enjoyed my lunch at pasta pasta in port Jefferson. The staff is young and polite and very accommodating for my elder family members. Seating is comfortable. Pasta was firm and tasty I had the stuffed mushroom ravioli delicious. One complaint was a loud obnoxious man eating next to us who pretended to be a waiter for his party. He walked around his table of 20 or so pouring wine, explaining the menu and then talking abusively throughout dinner. What a JERK, and no one said a thing to him to settle him down. Unfortunate ass-xxxxxs like him can ruin lunch for everyone! I'll be back hopefully but hopefully the racist isn't there!! read more

We love this restaurant! The food is amazing and so is the service. It's always crowded and even though we make reservations, there's a little wait, but it is soooo worth it!! Everything about this place makes you feel like you are eating right at home. I love the cozy booths, but the tables are also intimate, and you never feel crowded or rushed. I recommend everything on the menu, you can't go wrong with any dish. They have a great wine list, and awesome Champagne! They don't serve hard liquor, but what they do serve is excellent! This is my favorite restaurant in Port Jeff, and it is also a favorite of the couple we had dinner with. The food here is consistently excellent, and I can't say enough about the staff. They are awesome, and do such a great job, even though the place is always packed.
