Love Luca West! We went last night for our anniversary. The menu is spectacular and we had such a hard time deciding what to get. I had the special lobster risotto which came with very generous amounts of lobster. The food was amazing and the staff was so friendly. They took the cutest anniversary photo for us and put it in a special card stock frame. Only complaint would be that the restaurant is pretty loud, but what else is to be expected of a busy restaurant? Our meal started of great; table by the fire; nice bottle of Pino Grigio (which was served correctly at 50 degrees); bread and dipping oil was good. However, the main courses of Pasta; mine a seafood Tortellini - not good. The pasta was hard/tough on the edges and the shrimp were tough; sauce just OK. My wife had a Veal Ravioli which was kinda gross. The stuffing was a puree with no taste of veal or texture; very disappointing for an Italian restaurant with higher end pricing. A group of four of us went to hear Justo on a Thursday night. Although I just love listening to his music, I am not sure I will be back. We followed the State of Ohio face mask law regarding wearing one, but, to my surprise there was absolutely NO ENFORCEMENT by Management. If you feel above the "common folk" and not bother masking up because your income level or your political beliefs say you don't need to bother, then Luca West is your place to dine and drop your Benjamins! We've eaten at Luca in Cleveland many times, so we were very pleased when Luca West opened close to our home. Last night, there was a little confusion about our reservation even though we'd rec'd confirmation by text, but we were seated pretty quickly. The place was very busy. Our server Ashley was a total pro - told us about the specials, answered our questions, made some great recommendations and came by our table often. The food was great. Our entrees included a grouper special, wild boar ragu and bucatini bolognese - all well-plated, served hot and delicious as expected. This would be a 5-star review except for the noise in that place. All of the room's surfaces are flat and hard so that sounds are amplified and reverberate everywhere causing a very unpleasant din which really detracts from an otherwise outstanding dining experience. We had to speak very loudly (as did everybody else in the room) and strain to hear our own conversations the entire evening. They could alleviate this by softening up the decor a bit with some nice tapestries on the walls and ceilings as well as curtains for the giant picture windows - losing a view of the parking lot would be fine. We won't return on a weekend evening until they address that situation. Maybe we'll check it out some Tuesday or Wednesday evening. Pro tip: Make sure you have a confirmed reservation, especially on busy evenings. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I was out with my girl and made a reservation. They said our table wasn't ready and directed us to the bar. The drinks we were served over the next hour were weak and very light pours. I said hour because after an hour our table still somehow wasn't ready. The manager sauntered over and refused to apologize for the poor service saying they were busy. I'm above personally insulting him so we calmly gathered our things and left. On our way out we had to fight through the maskless masses waiting for their tables. Not only was this place awful but they clearly weren't concerned about following covid guidelines. read more

There seems to be plenty of waitstaff although we had a hard time keeping our waiter focused for service. Another gentleman took and brought some bread which was delicious -my cocktail Took forever. My husband ordered the short ribs which I will give the presentation 1 although the flavor was quite good. It was all taking so long I decided to stick with A salad and have some of my husband short ribs. I ordered a salad with Gorgonzola cheese, pears and walnuts- The most flavorless waterlogged salad I've ever had in my life. They must have sold a pear strips in water and the lettuce was wet. There was one small piece of Gorgonzola cheese for $12 I expected a bit more. Maybe worth a happy hour during the week but on weekends they do not offer Half orders of pasta and everything seemed very heavy with lots of cheese and cream, not my thing. read more

Fantastic! Never been here before, and we loved it. I had the beef ravioli...delicious!!! My husband had the gnocchi which was outstanding. My father had the veal and my mom had the scallops. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. It was my dad's birthday...they brought him the most divine tiramisu I've ever tried. We even were treated with a complimentary family photo. We have had great experiences at Luca several times. Our last visit was terrible. The service was spotty and the food was not good at all. Both entrees were disappointing, including "fishy" tasting fish and a veal piccata with gummy coating and a gelatinous, flavorless sauce. All for $200. What a waste of money. It does not allow a couple to hear and talk to each other. On a good note, the wine selection was very good and the bread was tasty. We waited 40 minutes before giving up and going somewhere else. The staff lacked hospitality to the sea of people waiting. I understand that things don't always go as planned, but a "please let me help you find a seat at the bar while you wait" or an "I'm sorry that we are running behind" would have gone a long way. Great service, great food, beautiful interior. The only reason this isn't a five star review is because we can't help but compare Luca West to Luca and a view of a parking lot is never going to beat a view of the downtown skyline. If you're a west sider I would definitely recommend this location though. Although we were hoping to see the sachetti w fig sauce from the original location on the menu (this dish is in the top 10 best things I've ever ate list). The Tortellini i had instead had plenty of lobster and shrimp and was delicious. The tomato cream sauce managed to be fresh and not too heavy. The filet was good but holy hold the peppercorns - way too much pepper. This place has only been open 2 weeks but we would have never known they were so new - service was flawless and friendly. read more

Really surprising atmosphere once you step in this office building restaurant. Very refined and elegant decor with very pleasant music playing. Nice selection of drinks and decent beer choices although no draft beer which is a bummer. My wife loved her gnocchi dish and I had the mushroom pesto ravioli. The ravioli was nice but didn't have a ton of flavor. Waiter was excellent and overall would come back. Next time will try a fish meal read more
