Condado Tacos is one of our favorite go-to chain spots, we rarely dine at chain restaurants but while at Crocker Park we were hungry and in the mood for something quick and decided to get tacos. My son ordered two Cali Green tacos, which he really enjoyed. I decided to try something different this time and ordered one of their newer options, the Yuzu Butter Shrimp Taco. It was good and had a nice flavor, but my usual favorite, the Lucy's Fire still holds the top spot for me. For an appetizer we shared the Three Buds half-size queso and salsa sampler with chips, which is always a great starter. My husband ordered a burrito with rice and beans as the base, which was hearty and satisfying. Overall, another solid meal at one of our favorite chain spots. read more

A quick sit-down restaurant in the middle of Crocker Park, specializing in tacos and margaritas. That's pretty much all they serve, but the menu is not as limited as that sounds. The tacos are very big, and crunch-wrap style with both a hard taco shell and a soft taco shell makes them easy to eat. There are many choices and the flavor combinations range from fairly spicy to almost sweet. The place is usually busy but the service is fast. There is a patio outside. Inside is noisy, and there are TV screens if you want to watch the game. There is a full bar, but also the place is kid friendly. Also I have to mention the margaritas. Excellent flavors, but kind of small. Order one to enjoy a really unique drink rather than bargain prices. Chain restaurant. Food was NOT as advertised. I got the dirty queso and it had ONE strand of chicken, 3 black beans and what seemed to be some Tapatío hot sauce on top. I then ordered the sheet pan of veggies (Large size) and I received 2 cauliflower,six sweet potatoes (home fries style) and a couple of shredded peppers. Blood orange margarita was tasty! Place had an attractive welcoming look but I probably would never go again. I am never truly impressed by chains, but it appears that Condado Tacos is the exception!! I met with a friend at the Westlake Condados Tacos for dinner as she had a coupon for free queso. The waitress was friendly and attentive and the interior of the restaurant was painted mural-style by a local, talented artist. My friend ordered two custom vegetarian tacos whereas I stuck to pre-made options. I ordered the pork Korean BBQ and the brisket Sweet Heat. The Sweet Heat was the better of the two as it was assisted with the tasty additions of onions and cilantro. However, neither were that hot and I don't think either taco needed the hard shell that was included. As for the queso and chips, they were pretty typical of most Mexican restaurants. The guac my friend ordered on the side was chunky and topped with pickled veg, just the way I like it! However, we agreed that ordering a second dip was not necessary. As I am not a big drinker, we did not order their margaritas but I saw people at other tables ordered them and they did look tasty. Even the shell can be can be custom with hard or soft or both. The limit time menu item was the street corn bowl with nachos. Off the cob, fire-roasted corn sautéed with garlic, jalapeños, lime, and red onion and topped with aioli, Cotija cheese, Tajin, and chopped cilantro. Condados is a great restaurant! We went there as a class on Tuesday, February 11th. I ordered a double-decker taco with a soft and hard corn shell, guac, chicken, fajita veggies, and tater tots on the side. The taco was amazing; it had such great flavors that I would totally order it again. The tater tots were soft and crumbled in my mouth, so amazing! The appetizer I shared with a friend was chips and guac. For a drink, I got lemonade that tasted tart, not too sweet, but still good. Our server was amazing, she was so kind and helpful! I've been wanting to try out Condado Tacos as I've seen some advertising on Facebook. Stopped in around 2pm on a Monday, which was perfect. There were a few tables on the patio, so it was the perfect time to go out yet social distance. Erica was our server - she was friendly and attentive. We ordered the guacamole and queso with chips to start. The guacamole was fresh and had a nice bit of spice to it. We each ordered 2 tacos - I got the Dutch Dragon (vegan option) and built my own taco with Thai Chili Tofu, lettuce, pickled onions and pineapple salsa. My fiancé ordered the El Santo and Sweet Heat tacos. Everything was delicious...a little heat, great flavors, loved the soft and crunchy shell combinations. We left very full and satisfied. I can't get enough of their queso and have realized that I just need to ask the server for recommendations if I'm building my own bowl or taco. They are usually very helpful in making better choices than I would/have in the past! They also offer quite a few pre-selected options if you need an easy option. Yum! As others have mentioned, this is suspiciously similar to another local Cleveland taco restaurant, but that's neither here nor there. I personally love both restaurants and enjoyed my first visit to Condado and the convenience of a West Side option nearby I visited on a Tuesday evening during happy hour and was sat immediately. The location is larger than I anticipated and can hold a large amount of guests. I was pleased to learn that their happy hour was available everywhere, not just in the bar area (like another restaurant we all know of-- wink wink.) I ordered a margarita with banana flavoring because it was such a unique flavor for a margarita that I had to try. Ultimately, the margarita was okay, but the flavoring didn't add much to it, honestly. We learned that chips and salsa/guac are not included, so we ordered chips and a full order of guac, which was more than enough for 3 people-- we definitely should have sized down to the small. For my meal, I ordered two tacos-- both customized on my order form. I started with some of their specialty shells including the Sweet Lucy and Ju-Ju, which both contain two shells (hard and soft), plus various other toppings wedged into the shells. I topped my tacos with chicken and pork and then loaded veggies, cheeses, and sauce on top of it all. It was delicious. It all came together and was both tasty, filling, and affordable. Well well well. I was wondering when condados was going to show up in the Cleveland area. I have been to condados in Columbus, and was happy to see one at Crocker park in Westlake. Vibe: Modern and funky Tex mex. painted walls and loud music. There's a bar to sit at, or tables. I went at 9 pm on a Thursday so there was no wait, and it was pretty empty. Pros: - Food is excellent. I always love the "choose your own adventure" tacos. I like the layered shells with guac, queso, hard shell and soft shell. - Roasted chicken and beef brisket are excellent. - Margs are great. A little more sweet that I prefer, but it's just a personal taste. - Service was excellent. Hostess and waitress were very pleasant. (I think their service is much better than barrio) Cons: - I felt confused with the chips/guac/salsa. We ordered chips and guac. I wish they had thrown in salsa. But I know they're shooting for the higher end of Tex mex. - I'm a young person. I like loud music. But the place was pretty empty, and the music was blaring. (Apparently it was 80s night) Wish they would tone it down 15%. I didn't want to stay and drink because of it. Parking is normal Crocker Parking. I park in a nearby free garage and walk, as your chance of getting a street spot is extremely slim. read more

The margaritas during happy hour were great. The cocktail recommended by the waitress was $13.00 (Strawberry Lemonadee with Vodka) each for a 6 oz pour. 3 were purchased not knowing the price. I had 2 tacos with corn tortillas. I asked for 2 grilled tortillas per taco, but I got 4 tortillas for each taco. When I received the tacos, the tortillas were ( melted) from the juices of the rice they added. I just pulled all the tortillas out and ate everything with a spoon. WOW! Just WOW!! You cannot get a better experience than the one I had here at the Crocker location of Condado! I've never had a team go above and beyond the way they did for me. You would have guessed I was some special local celeb in CLE! I actually live in Columbus but am from CLE and my sister lives in Westlake right by Crocker so I am there all the time! We have been looking forward to this Condado opening for awhile now! We made it a point to get there a few days after it opened. It was a busy Saturday and around 1:30p, they were packed! The host and hostess were both super nice and welcoming. I was surprised they got us a seat right away. Soon after, our waitress, Kayla, came by and she was the sweetest ever! Very welcoming and friendly! I ordered a sangria and then put Kayla up to the task: I was requesting a taco that got taken off the menu over 2 years ago. I knew most of the ingredients, but unfortunately the base of it is a shell that they no longer make (the Goody shell). I've never seen anyone more motivated and eager to make their customer happy. She took it right away and committed to making it happen! Soon after, she brought out one of the head chefs, Tre. Tre has been with the biz since its start so he knew what I was talking about. He even referenced that he himself created part of the original shell! WOOHOO! I knew I was in good hands and they wouldn't let me down! Sure enough, after about 20 mins, Kayla brought out my taco and I took one look and knew that I had been reunited with my beloved "Ramsey" taco! I took one bite and the flavors combined into a joyous fiesta! Perfection!! Kayla came back in a few mins to check on me, but the damage was done...I had destroyed that taco within minutes! Also, Kayla always ensured we had a full basket of chips to munch on. They have excellent queso and salsas, but my favorite is the salsa verde. I have searched high and low and cannot find a better salsa verde than Condado's! I could not be more appreciative of the friendliness and customer service that Kayla and Tre exhibited towards me. They couldn't have been more accommodating. Tre even gave his business card to me and my sister in case I needed the wait staff to consult him on any future visits. lol! A+++++ customer service!
