We got the chance to try this coffee shop when we were in Columbus for my brother's wedding. What a great place! So great, we went back twice! Both times I got the Blackberry Vanilla latte off their seasonal menu and it was delicious! I can't have regular milk so I got oat milk, but they also had almond milk if you prefer that. The second time we went back I had one of their breakfast paninis and it was delicious. Everyone else really liked their drinks too. Note: it does get busy and there was a line both times we went. I just had the mocha blender and it was decent. If you want to compare it to the mocha frappe from Starbucks. I would say the Starbucks mocha frappe is better. But they have a lot of beverages on the menu that I want to try in the future. The staff was very friendly and the ambience is great. It is the kind of coffee shop I would want to buy coffee and spend some time at. I was just passing by and did not get to spend a lot of time at the coffee shop You have to park the car on the street. I loved everything about this place. The drinks were very good, especially the chai, which is real chai and not the concentrated sweetened syrupy stuff. They have seasonal drinks too, which we capitalized on. The workers were friendly and skilled. The food items looked delicious and are made in house I was told. The interior is pretty, bright, and spacious. There's even a room in the back that can be rented out and a space for stroller parking. Outside there's seating and in the alleyway you can see a pretty mural. I'm saddened that this place isn't closer to home for me but i'm pretty sure i'll be stopping here every time I'm in town. read more

Was in Columbus for the first time for business and have been dying to try the honey lavender latte that my client here raves about. She brought me here before our meetings and I have to say her recommendation did not disappoint! Such a cute and cozy location and friendly service. Great way to start the day with the honey lavender latte and key lime scone (delicious and not super dry like most scones). The only downside was that I heard they may not be renewing their lease at this location which I'd be so disappointed if that is true because I will be making frequent trips out here for meetings and would definitely make this a daily stop, while in town. I'm not sure how far away the other location is but if the experience there is anything like this one, I'd probably make the drive. read more

Great ambiance & great location. The coffee is great, I got the $2 drip, way better than a Pike @ Starbucks & you get a cool barista! Food is slightly overpriced but they need to recover a steep investment. The coffee shop is absolutely beautiful and catches you off guard when you walk in. Irwin Miller would have approved. The lighting fixtures are awesome, the furniture fits the layout, there is ample seating and waiting area. The shop accommodates quick coffee meetings, daycare play dates and everything in between. Food wise, I had a panini which I thought was good, but slightly overpriced. Well worth it for the cost of admission, I enjoyed hanging out in here. The options are generally limited so far in this department but they're still figuring things out. All in all, an amazing contribution to our community! After Upland opened up a few blocks away & the escape room / spin studio followed suit, I was wondering when we would have a chic coffee shop, and now we have one conveniently @ the foot of 4th street! read more

There is a bright and sleek coffee shop on 4th Street that offers a variety of coffee and tea options, with a few items to munch on, as well. Upon entering the spacious shop, we were greeted by a friendly staff. Even late in the lunch hour, the place had most of the tables and comfy spots filled with customers. They do have a lot of "bar" stools lining the large windows along the front and east side of the shop. There is even a room in the back for conferences. They offer the usual varieties coffee options, teas, smoothies, etc. One thing I didn't like was that even though they offer hot cocoa (my wife isn't a coffee drinker), we didn't see it because it was listed under the kid's menu. Lost sale. I keep it simple and usually just drink black drip coffee. If you can't do that right, it doesn't make much difference what you add to it. Fortunately, the coffee here was really good. Bonus points for serving it at a drinkable temperature! I also liked that they had a number of current and promotional magazines on the bar. My wife browsed through some of those while I enjoyed my coffee. However, I tried multiple times to get a signal on my phone and had a lot of trouble. The signal seemed weak. I didn't ask if they had a password/wifi since I wasn't staying long, but I couldn't even check in on Yelp until I tried five times. This place became my go to while I was in Colombus for work. It is the cutest, most hip coffee shop around. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The cafe has plenty of space for people to do work/study/chill. They even have a little kids area. The drink I really liked was a white chocolate with peppermint mocha. This coffee company is in a good location! It's in downtown Columbus. You can walk to the Cummins headquarters it's that close. They have nice leather couches, a conference room, and a kids zone area. It has a really nice layout. They had huge coffee cups on saucers, if you happened to stay and enjoy your cup of coffee. Popped in on our way to an IU football game. Enjoyed the hearty breakfast croissant and a latte and dulce de leche. The baristas are very friendly and the vibe is clean and cool. I actually discovered Lucabe today when I tried to go to the old First Financial Banm branch in Eastbrook Plaza which is the newest Lucabe location, complete with drive thru. Though it was already mid-afternoon I'm a sucker for trying new coffee shops and especially I have a broken hip right now, the drive thru option was greatly appreciated. When we pulled up I asked the barista for a recommendation and she suggested one of the current specials, the raspberry white chocolate truffle latte. We tried the iced version which is topped with whipped cream. It was very sweet but not overly-fruity and allowed a rich and non-bitter coffee flavor to shine through. I wanted to also try the honey ginger latte but unfortunately they were out of the ginger. The barista suggested I try the miel which features honey and cinnamon. You guys! It was delicious! I am shook! Their coffee is delicious. I am generally a Starbucks girl, because no matter how much I want to like local coffee shops their drinks are never up to my Starbucks standard. Cold day at the end of March and we walked into this local coffee shop and were greeted by warmth and the glorious smell of fresh brewed coffee. Heaven! And the coffee is good. I had a cup of black coffee, Bella, that was berry good, a bit lemony. RRR had a latte that he said was very good, very creamy foam. The feel is communal with tables all the way around a central kitchen and a couple of large tables that can be shared. There is also a cool play area for little kids with a bar for their adult to sit and sip while being able to watch them. A great break spot downtown. read more

I dropped in on opening day and was greeted by a crew of smiling faces. I had the Bella blend drip coffee and it had a deep flavor without being bitter. I tried an iced chai latte made with coconut milk and it had earthy, spice taste. Both great choices! There are also scones handmade from the Sweet Rose Bakehouse recipe as well as a variety of other treats and a couple sandwiches. They're still figuring things out but I'm in love. I'm used to paying big bucks for coffee...Gold card holder at Starbucks over here, no shame. However as a young stay at home mom I have really wanted a place I can binge coffee drink and bring my baby and the 'bucks is NOT the place. Now I can chill at the Mom Bar while my 11 month old plays and enjoy a fancy latte (complete with cute latte art!) with fellow mamas. It's out of the way and the hours are short but that works for us, we are free in the afternoons while Dad/husband is working. Bye Starbucks! I've found my new money stealer. Zero regrets. All it needs is a changing table and maybe a rewards program where you can get free refills on certain drinks and I'll just move in! Update: there is a changing table!! I have been very impressed with Lucabe. Here is the lowdown: Atmosphere: It's the local coffeeshop Columbus always wanted. It's not hipster nor overly commercial. It's modern, light and airy, and clean. It has great spaces to meet a friend or work alone. It's definitely a super fit for the downtown, and I hope it will be a favorite for locals and out-of-town visitors for many years to come. Service: Very friendly and helpful! Be prepared to wait a little longer for a latte, but I bet speed will continue improve. Food/Drinks: Every drink is thoughtfully made. You can taste the high-quality ingredients and coffee beans. The pastries are somewhat pricey, but worth it. All are baked fresh in house. The service is extremely slow routinely. The staff is very courteous and friendly. The food items are very good. Often times your beverage is consumed long before you receive the ordered food item. it would be nice to receive the order in totality within a reasonable time. The establishment is very clean and unique. But, rarely are the in-house tables wiped between customers. The coffee is excellent. Overall it is a nice established coffee shop. read more

That is my personality color so I instantly fell in love!!! The staff was extremely friendly and had such an awesome vibe to them! I ordered the turkey cranberry sandwich with the rosemary chips and a regular house coffee. "the Bella" coffee was awesome and I also tried the "papa" - got the bottomless cup!!! They were both soft and brewed to perfection - I am serious about my brews and these both were the real deal! The space was absolutely amazing and my favorite thing is how kid-friendly it was! There is a little cafe for little future coffee lovers :) I can't even!!!!! The space was extremely clean (even down to the bathrooms) and there was a meeting space for those wanting to have a meeting! Just as they say on their website, Columbus is not really big on locally owned coffee shops. And to see one such family owned coffee shop which is so beautifully put together is a delight! I have been wanting it to open ever since I heard about it, and wanting to visit ever since it opened. You get it, LONG wait. I was happy when I finally got a chance to do so today. It's located in Columbus Downtown and has one of the best spots. It's a beautiful coffee shop, with abundant light, variety of seating: both indoor and outdoor, and pleasant staff. We met Alissa and she welcomed us to her coffee shop very warmly. We looked at the menu and I ordered a Mocha with Whipped Cream and a Vegetarian Wrap. The Mocha was AMAZING!! Best I have had. And I am a major Mocha lover! The wrap was good as well, but it had beans in it and I am not really big on beans. You are automatically enrolled into a rewards program when you first pay; and if you keep paying with the same card when you go back, your points would be accumulated accordingly. It's a great spot, you can see a lot of people working and using their WiFi when they do so, just like we did. I would definitely go back, although I do wish they were open a little longer in the evening :) I recommend! read more

Such an unexpected and cute coffee shop in the heart of downtown Columbus! The coffees are very good, and the pastry options are always too tempting to resist. My most recent trip was to the new location in the old bank on National Rd. This was repurposed so beautifully. It was truly a delight to walk in and see how the space had been transformed. And the quality of the coffee, the options, and the pastries still lived up to what I had previously experienced at the OG shop. I hope to come back when it's nicer to make use of the outside tables. The food was divine- I'm already craving going back for more! The Chicken Ricotta is a new favorite. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the entire combination was so savory. (I'm practically salivating right now!) The Blood Orange Coconut Ginger Sparkling Refresher was incredible.
