The first car I purchased from this place was great. So naturally when it was time to trade it in I went right back for my next car. This car has been the complete opposite experience from the first. In over 30 years of driving, this has been absolutely the worst car I've ever driven - and I used to be a mechanic. The suspension is completely out of balance with huge wobbles and the car leans down on the driver side. The passenger rear is super firm, the driver rear is extremely soft. The car doesn't hold straight, bounces all over the place, and has already gone through a set of tires after only a few months of driving. It amazes me a car can be unstable at 55 mph on the interstate and have "nothing wrong with it." I even took measurements showing the passenger rear sits a couple inches higher than the entire rest of the car including the driver rear. Nothing wrong with it? Do what you want, but I'm never going back. read more

That is false advertising and providing misleading information on the vehicle especially if you're gonna sell to someone out of state-that is something you need to put in the description. She was not dissapointed she was able to lease a brand new 2025 Equinox for less than her current lease. The car had all the features she wanted. If paying a premium price for shoddy car service is your thing, then you found the right place. Being a gearhead, I thought I could save my 76 year old Mom the trouble and expense of having her oil changed. She only takes it to Lucas Chevrolet in Lumberton, NJ for service . I came to find out that the oil drain plug head was rounded off and torqued too tight. I could not drain the oil. I went to a quick lube place but they told me to take it back to Chevrolet. I went to this dealership and I explained the same to the service manager. I waited about an hour. I came home to change the oil. The oil drain plug is still not removable. I ordered a hammer bolt removal tool which I will use to remove the drain plug. Lesson learned. Dealerships portray a higher standard of workmanship for their inflated dealer service pricing. The maintenance department is the only part of this dealership that I have experience with. With that being said it has been a terrible experience. I had a valve in my exhaust messed up so they replaced my exhaust as it was under warranty. Immediately it had an exhaust leak after wards. I mentioned it multiple times after bringing it back but it was never fixed. The last time I was there I was getting my oil changed. When I get home I realized my hood is popped, it was never fully latched. Luckily it didn't fly up or it could have been really bad. My vehicle at the time was under the 36,000 miles. I have a door rattle in the front passenger door that happens when music is played. Service department couldn't find anything wrong wit it and told me if it starts up again, come back in so a service rep could hear the noise. Immediately after I left, the noise started again, so I immediately took it back in. The service rep heard the noise along with a technician. The technician told me after hearing the noise that Chevy wasn't going to pay for the door to be sound proof. Never asked for that. The service rep tried to tell me that it's ok for one door to rattle with music. If that were the case, the other 3 doors would make the same noise, correct. Incompetent service reps and technicians. Well what started out as a scheduled first oil change on my new chevy was far from fun. Had an appointment 10:30. They say it will 45 mins cause they are gonna detail my car. I don't know about the other posters problems, but I have never experienced anything but very good service and low pressure sales. When I bought my Silverado and needed to add step rails to assist me in getting into my truck; the rails came a day late and they were backed up with GM based problems, they gave me a car to use until the repairs were complete. But they did not give me some crappy used car; they gave me a top of the line 2014 Chevy Impala! Regarding service and sales I am surprised that they are coping as well as they are. Considering they are sharing the service facilities with Jeep/Chrysler they are doing quite well. The new building will be up soon and I expect that they will be even better. Something that needs explaining. I had a 2009 Silverado with the Stabilitrack, poor engine power, etc. When I asked why they were so busy at times, they explained how corporate problems occur. When GM has a recall repair all the dealerships get overloaded besides their regular maintenance work. Also recalls/repairs occur after the customers start having problems because the notices go out later to customers and dealers. Lastly my Silverado problem was a problem with the 5.3 EFS engine. The oil was not getting to specific cylinders with no warning from the dash info system. Even changing the engine was not a fix. Happy to say I traded it in at Lucas and bought the same truck but the 2014 version, with a new engine and interior/exterior. I am very happy with it and Lucas is doing a splendid job keeping me happy! read more

I am mad, mad, mad. No car yet, day 7. Lucas chevy service department management are absolute liars. Car needs brake lines after 3 days of telling me "parts just came in" along with excuses why they hadn't worked on it yet. Today 5/22 I was told still working on it because they couldn't get parts cause car is so old; 2004 buick lesabre, said they had to make the parts. Just went online found brake lines, hoses etc are available. The service at Lucas Chevy took forever and was very inconvenient. In the end was told that the price for service on the breaks would be reduced due to the excessive time taken when originally a few days was quoted. When I went to pay the bill reductions were not make to the bill. I had to pay the full amount for the break job! read more

Don't go here. It is not worth the drive. I received a flyer from here yesterday for a prize giveaway, so I decided to take a chance and play. It clearly stated that if I matched 3 "7's" on both sides of the prize card, I would win a 55 " TV. I ended up matching 3 "7's" on both sides of the prize card. I called the number today the dealership gave and spoke to someone who said I did in fact win a prize. I asked if there was a catch, and they said there wasn't. So I drove about an hour out of my way and spoke to a very grumpy gentleman who told me I only won a cheap smartwatch because the number on the card didn't match what I needed to for the TV. I showed him the card and the prize legend and he got annoyed at me and said "It very clearly states..." and proceeded to get a manager. I spoke to the manager and told him that this type of advertising is deceptive, and he told me, I kid you not, "Advertising is deceptive". The smartwatch "value" on the advertisement said it would be $300. I looked it up online and they were selling on eBay for $20. I didn't even make it up the front steps to the door. As I walked up, a sales person intercepted and asked me what I was looking for. I explained that my car was just totaled and I was doing research into buying a new car, as it had been 15 years since I'd last purchased a new car. I indicated that I wasn't buying immediately, probably "WITHIN the next six months". "What's going to change in six months, are you waiting for a settlement or something?" I respond yes. Right away he said "What if I can get you 0% financing today?" I responded "I don't do financing. I'm waiting to pay for it outright. I'm just here doing research." He then began discouraging me from even looking "Well, the rebates will be all different in six months." l respond "a few thousand dollars in the difference in the rebate doesn't matter to me, I want to get an idea of what's out there". Again he begins grumbling about the futility of it. "Do you have any used vehicles on the lot I can look at?" "We have some, but you aren't going to see the same cars in six months." Firstly, the term "WITHIN six months" means I may possibly buy in six months, or it may be tomorrow. His attitude problem and the fact that he began grilling me and arguing before I even made it to the front door was the lowest example of salesmanship I've experienced, and I work in retail. "You know what, thanks anyway, have a great day" and I begin walking back to my car. He called out something to me about "what kind of research could you be doing" and I respond, "Not only am I researching vehicles, I am looking for dealers who I want to do business with as well." It was so blatantly obvious that he viewed me as an insignificant woman accompanied by two children, and should not be taken seriously enough to think he'd get a commission. I didn't buy my Chevy Avalanche here, so this review is about the service department. I cannot stress enough how inept the service is or how I always feel they are trying to rip me off. They never wanted to fix issues that were covered by my full warranty, only the things that weren't. They always forgot to call when parts came in, and always seemed to suggest costly repairs when they weren't necessary. But here's my worst experience yet: I brought my vehicle in to have the door moldings replaced for the 4th time and to diagnose a problem with the stabilitrack system error messages. When i picked it up the moldings were put on poorly and need to be done again. As for the other issue I was told I their diagnostic computer determined I needed a new transmission, a new ebs system, and other work. The estimate was about $7000.00. I took it to another local Chevy dealer and using the diagnostic computer they determined it was the the purge solenoid from the error code. They changed it for under $500 and the problem was solved. The employees are always polite but the experience at the end is always offensive. read more
