This guy is a wolf in sheep's clothing. He starts out nice, then when he causes damages, is the absolute worst. He destroys property, then promises to cover damages but then never does. He says his lawyer is sending a check, but it never arrives. He backtracks on everything he says. He claims he will pay, then say he won't because his feelings were hurt, then denies causing any damage. Hire at your own risk. In my opinion, I would not risk hiring this company. read more

Two of the three professionals I hired were strong and worked hard but they lacked the experience necessary to efficiently move my furniture internally from one floor to the other. For example, they tried to move a dining room table through a doorway the was clearly so narrow without taking the legs off. They managed to move a sofa bed in very tight quarters for which I was grateful, even though they were trying to avoid doing it within the contracted time. The third "professional" did not move a single thing that I could not have moved myself so not nearly as much total furniture was moved as I expected. read more

Basically, they stole $225 from me. They confirmed an appointment, required a deposit, failed to show up, promised the deposit back for failure to provide services as agreed, and they are now unreachable. Never, ever again. read more

This company was not only a "no show" but strung me along. They promised to be out 9am or 10am. I had everything ready for them, including a cash payment they required and was waiting. I texted at 10am to ask if they were still coming. A few minutes later, he texted "hey sorry, just finishing up with a customer. " I texted back that that was fine.. I'd see them soon. An hour later, nothing so I texted asking for an ETA. I never got a response. So I found a real moving company that came out that afternoon. Don't trust these guys! read more

I usually never leave reviews, I'm way too busy to. However, due to the unprofessionalism of this company, several pieces of my expensive furniture is ruined. I hired these guys to move my furniture into moving pods so that my furniture could be moved to my new home. I was disappointed before they even came, because the "owner" whom we booked the move with stopped responding days before the move. There's no company phone number to call, just his cell phone number which went out of service after he had our deposit, which was sent via CASHAPP by the way, nothing to sign which was sketchy to me. I thought I got scammed until his partner texted us a few days before the move, saying the original guy was in a terrible car accident. Now fast forward to the day of the move, they were an hour late and weren't answering the phone. Then we finally got a call that they were arriving soon. When they got to my home, they got to work, and I felt like they were doing a decent job until midway of the move. One guy had to take several breaks due to his asthma because he didn't have an inhaler. Another guy took a long break to tell me how he's homeless, and they pretty much picked him off the street to work that day. That made me uncomfortable, because obviously he had no training, which showed from the lack of care for my expensive pieces. Another worker also started telling me about the state of the company, and that the owner wasn't in a car accident, but stole half of the company's money and hasn't been seen since. They went on lunch and were gone for several hours. I didn't think they were returning, so I had to call my friends over to help me until they arrived back to my house at nighttime, and it was only two guys instead of the six that came. They got the job done, which I was thankful for. Long story short, this move was a nightmare, and I wasn't going to leave a review until the new movers opened up the pods at the new house. My furniture was packed with no care! Bikes and weights on top of my marble tables. My white couches on the dirty ground of the pods. My costume stone tables ruined from grass stains and their dirty hand marks. My leather dining room seats were completely torn, which were $1k each. All my TVs were leaning on one of the pods' doors, and when that pod was opened, all the TVs fell out. They even misplaced the screws to my master bed set. I provided hundreds of packing blankets and a lot of bubble wrap which they didn't use entirely. I'm hurt and disappointed, and I hope this review saves people from the stress my wife and I had to deal with. Just do yourself a favor and stay clear from these guys. It's not worth it. read more

Work from Home Day - Check Bombogenesis - Check Snow that got my car stuck in front of my house - Check Lucas Moving showing up to move my 490lb Dance Dance Revolution Machine - Check.......wait what. Let me tell you, I scheduled with Tyree the day before to have my arcade machine moved. I was a little reluctant considering the reviews on Yelp were sparse, regardless, they were the only guys to respond back to me in a timely fashion and communication was almost instant. So of course the day of the in house move came and with the blizzard and all that junk, i really wasn't expecting them to show up, but then i get a call asking if i was home and that they would be on there way. A little under an hour later Tyree and Lamont showed up ready to move my machine. Now of course with any move nothing is easy, but they were professional 100% of the time and made sure to minimize any damage that was caused (all damage was completely approved by me because i just wanted the dang thing down in my basement and i would've ripped the door frame out had we needed to). With the machine being so old I fully expected there to be some damage to my wood floors but nope, they used a little ingenuity to move the machine on a rug to mitigate the damage to my nice wood floors. After everything was said and done, I now have an arcade machine in m'basement and my man-cave is slowly taking shape. Lamont/Tyree, I appreciate you gents coming out here today to take care of this move, I had my reservations but you exceeded any and all expectations I had and will definitely be putting you guys in my book of reliable people to use if i ever have anything that needs to be done in the future. I originally scheduled Green Guys Moving Company through uhaul to help me unload my truck when I moved from DC to Philly. The day I moved in, a massive blizzard hit Philly and Green Guys cancelled on me half an hour before they were supposed to arrive at my unload location. After desperately searching for movers, I came across Lucas Moving on yelp and gave them a call. Tyree was unbelievably helpful and professional, and said he would give his teams a call to see if they could fit us in. He then gave me a call each time he heard back from one of his teams with an update. Unfortunately due to the weather, his teams would not have been able to get to us until late at night, but were still willing to to trek through the snow and wind to help us out. HOWEVER, when we told Tyree that we appreciated his help but would need someone a little earlier so that we could return our truck on time, he came to our unloading location HIMSELF with another mover within an hour of getting in touch with us. Both guys were extremely professional and helpful. They had us moved into our apartment in under an hour, while still handling all of our boxes/furniture with caution and care. The customer service was truly remarkable, and the unloading itself could not have gone smoother. Their rates are very reasonable, and the service is unparalleled. Will definitely be using them again for all of our moving needs, and would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

These guys were great! I had booked movers through another company and was stressed when they contacted me to say that they had a conflict and wouldn't be able to carry out the job. They referred me to Lucas Moving, and I was hesitant at first because I couldn't find any reviews and it was kind of a big move (third floor apartment with no elevator moving lots of instruments and music equipment in addition to furniture, etc). I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and efficient these guys were. They got right to work, moved quickly, were easy to communicate with, and just overall did a great job. I booked them as they responded much quicker then other companies and had very reasonable prices (compare with others they actually listened to what I needed to move rather than telling me what people with my size apartment normally moves, as I was not moving my personal items and some of the furniture). They communicated well with me before the move, showed up within the time frame they had given me, were very friendly, and got the job done quickly. read more
