Not sure what the left two dishes are.Two on the right are shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy with sausage patties and scrambled eggs.

Amazing. If you've seen any of my breakfast posts you'll know I'm a big biscuits and gravy gal. Let me tell you, one of the BEST biscuits gravy I've ever had. I had the classic gravy, sausage, eggs, and I shared a shrimp and grits with another person. The portions are perfect. The biscuit is good even alone. Shrimp and grits, oh my goodness. Texture of both the grits and the shrimp was perfect. Nice and savory. Let's just say I'm back home and thinking of our next trip to South Carolina to get these biscuits and gravy and shrimp and grits.

My husband and I came here for breakfast on a Sunday eager to eat and excited to see what all the fuss is about this place. All I can say is wow! I mean really! Wow! If you are into a savory breakfast of any kind, this is your spot. They have any kind of biscuit to satisfy your cravings & I hear their Shrimp and Grits are good too. That's on my list to try for next time. I got "The Boss," biscuit and my husband got the "Meat Lovers" biscuit. The flavors were very much on point! All the seasonings came together nicely and every ingredient was cooked beautifully. There is no need for added salt and pepper. Each bite was like a harmony of delicious flavor and texture! The gravy was delicious, the Philly cheesesteak portion of my meal was some of the best I've had around here and the biscuit was buttery and a perfect consistency. I will admit it was all very heavy & I couldn't finish it all, but it was a million times worth it. I believe I could eat here every day and put on like 20 extra pounds in record time. The service was great! The young lady up front (I believe she could be the owners daughter. Not sure, but just a guess) was incredibly friendly, helpful, accommodating and pleasant in every way. She welcomed every single person who walked in and was happy to take orders. Her generous attitude made the experience quite enjoyable. The ambiance reflects that of a pop in and out quick breakfast spot. There isn't a lot of seating, but just enough to get people to sit down and dine in when a table comes available. You get your breakfast bowls in a to go container which is very convenient in case there's nowhere to sit and eat & in case you can't finish your meal. This place is not focused on bells and whistles. It's focused on what matters the most, tasty food and good service. In other words, now I get it! Now I understand what all the fuss is about! This place is definitely one of the top best breakfast spots in all of the midlands area.

Been coming here since it opened and I'm really surprised I haven't left a review yet! TBH, I haven't had a bad meal ever. Everything has been so fresh and so tasty. The staff is always so very friendly and nice. This time I got the brisket egg and cheese bagel and wow! So much flavor and taste. I also got a side of sausage gravy to dip my bagel in. Hands down the best sausage gravy I have ever had! They also have a good flavor selection of Mimosas! I would def recommend eating breakfast here if you have never been. Always a good time! Ps..it has outside seating so you can enjoy the outdoors while you eat!

An easy 5. The flavors in this bad boy wow! I've never had a dish like this so it was refreshingly new. The chicken was delicious. The biscuits were perfectly crumbly. The sauce amazing. The portion was perfect because I didn't feel sick after. Only complaint was the wait time. They were pretty busy and we waited probably 20 minutes. Well worth it though.

My family of three visited Bubba's Biscuits of Lexington on a Saturday morning and were very happy with our experience. We arrived around 9:30 on a busy Saturday morning. The parking lot was very full, but we were able to find parking. When we went to the restaurant, all of the tables were full but turnover was very quick and we did not have to wait very long, only a couple of minutes. We ordered our food at the window and the cashier was very kind. We ordered the build your own and Nashville hot biscuits. We also ordered three drinks: a yoo-hoo, coffee, and a tea. Our total was $39 before tip. Our food arrived quickly after being seated. The food itself was probably a four out of five stars. My son ordered a bagel with shrimp and eggs but we asked if we could be a little picky and have the shrimp and eggs on the side instead of on the bagel. The cashier said it wouldn't be a problem, but when the food arrived it was all put together like a sandwich. It wasn't a huge deal, just not the way that we asked for it. My biscuits and gravy were great. My husband's Nashville hot biscuit was good but not fantastic. The chicken was overdone on one side and very tough. It was hard to cut through the chicken with the plastic knife because of how tough it was. The biscuits themselves were phenomenal and I would return for the biscuits alone. The restaurant was extremely busy. People were coming and going constantly. We were able to be seated outside and the ambience was great. It was a little bit noisy because of the traffic, but the weather was wonderful and each table had an umbrella for shade. The one issue with cleanliness that I would mention is that because of how busy the restaurant was, garbage was overflowing. We were seated near a garbage can and customers were piling up garbage on top of the can and beside it because it was too full for anything else to fit. Overall, we really enjoyed our food. I likely wouldn't order the same thing again, but would return for the biscuits alone. They were fantastic; they were fluffy, buttery, and delicious.

Cuisine: 9 Service: 9 Decor: 6 Value: 10 Overall: 9 I would be 300 lbs if this place was in NYC !!! Never was a biscuit fan growing up in the northeast, but now I am a changed man. These light, airy and crumbly clouds of dough tastes so damn good. It's sad that we can't get item right in NYC. On my final day in Lexington, we stopped by for some brunch and tried four different types of biscuits. Bottom line, they were all amazing. Portion sizes were generous and pricing extremely reasonable. Here are some thoughts on individual items. Meat Lovers - Three pieces of bacon, big sausage patty, a huge slab of ham, sausage gravy, and fried egg on a fluffy biscuit. Be warned that the Meat Lovers Biscuit is a massive heart attack waiting to happen, but taste so damn good. Bubba Bang Shrimp - Fried small shrimps, coleslaw, sweet & savory sauce on a nice crumbly biscuit. This was a recommendation by the waitress and we are glad that we tried it. Unique and excellent! Nashville Hot Chicken - Crispy, juicy and flavorful, with a nice kick of spice. Pairs really well with the amazing biscuit. Egg and jalapeños were great compliments. Build Your Own Biscuit (B.Y.O.B) - Sausage, egg and cheese on a deliciously baked biscuit. Simple and common, but clearly head and shoulders above any I have experienced in NYC. As for service, the all ladies staff were super friendly, especially the charismatic manager, who is the owner's daughter. We ordered some biscuits to bring back to NYC and she was nice enough to pack us extras. Btw, they are not open daily, so check their schedule before heading over. However, if you are not planning to go and you live nearby, then you are definitely missing one of the best hidden gems in the area.

I had seen this place when I was coming from the airport and I knew I had to go there. I got a biscuit with gravy fried chicken and egg, and it was so good! My grandparents got the shrimp and grits with a biscuit and that was also really delicious. The staff were all nice and friendly and showed us how the menu worked. It was really cute inside there and I know I will be coming here again when I go up to South Carolina.

Tried this place on a Friday morning with my kids. Small place with good food. The potatoes are seasoned very well. I had the meat lovers and it was delicious. I didn't love the sausage though, it was dry. Biscuits are good and the gravy is outstanding. Soda machine was out. Place needs a bit of a deep clean and some paint but otherwise it's a good place and I recommend

Finally tried Bubbas biscuits in Lexington on mothers day, they have another location in Columbia. The theme is basically breakfast with a kick. of spice Located in the DT area, Social distancing was in place and gloves, and mask worn. There menu is simple and easy to understand, no turning pages. All the good reviews are the truth! Ordering was quick and the wait was not long. We ordered 2 different meals and highly enjoyed them. They don't stay open all day, so check the hours on website. (open at 0830am). There is a parking lot and front street parking that is convenient. They do have inside and outside seating. I really love the location, right behind the amphitheater and next to Alodia's Italian. I highly recommend giving them a try!

Oh my bubba these biscuits are the bomb.com .... Finally a spot where I don't have to use extra condiments to add some flavor! The workers are helpful and assist you with ordering, the restaurant was spotless and the food was CHEF's KISSS!!!! Please try this place out and if you are worried about it being too crowded then go on a Friday morning. I will definitely be back and will be trying all the things.. did I mention that when I carried my food out it was at least 2Lbs... you get the bang for your buck here and the flavor for your tastebuds !!! We have heard people rave about this place, so we gave it a try. We went on a Sunday morning, and it was packed. If you have never been, everything can be a little overwhelming. I recommend looking at the menu and being ready to order when you arrive, as it is counter service. They have a small dine in area and few tables outside, but they stayed occupied the entire time we were there! We were lucky enough to snag a table, and they had high chairs thankfully, so bonus points for that. My daughter and I did a BYOB (build your own biscuit), and my husband got the "Meat Lovers". Once our food arrived... I totally understood the hype. I got a cheddar biscuit, and it was almost like someone took a Red Lobster biscuit and put breakfast on it. Delicious! We also go a strawberry and a raspberry mimosa, which were also very good! We will be back for sure. Service was excellent despite it being super packed and all the staff were very friendly and personable. Next time we will just be earlier!

Working close to downtown lexington and the decided to try this place out at the customer's suggestion. They very recently opened (in the last week or so), and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience as a whole. Their theme is basically breakfast-y foods. Mostly variations of fried chicken and eggs on a biscuit. Still, there's a decent amount of variety in the menu, and I really want to stop back to try some of their other options. This first time around, I got the Bubba's Sweet Heat. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the level of heat (sriracha) was just enough to add some flavor making me feel like my mouth was on fire (I have a little tolerance for spicy but not TOO much). The biscuit was perfectly flaky and buttery. The egg was just the right size for the biscuit. I'm usually not a huge pimento cheese fan, but it definitely complemented the ensemble, not to mention the honey and sliced pickle. Definitely the perfect entree. The only thing that could make it better is if it was unrealistically cheap. To that point, some might argue that $10 is a little too much for their "Bubba's Specials", but it seems clear they put some time and effort into their menu, so the cost seems reasonable. The cost is similar for most of their specials. Shrimp and grits seems a little too pricy for what it is however, although I might cave and try it anyway on a future visit. As for the internal decor, it's pretty low key. There's limited seating space, even with the extra room off to the side. The table layout can definitely be cramped, and the seating / tables low-end. Just don't go there expecting some sort of fancy layout, and also expect the possibility of there being no seating available (if they remain as popular as they were their first week) and you'll be fine. Lastly, I was really impressed with the service. It's a "fast casual" setup, so it's not like they have to deal with the whole fine dining thing. But I still keep an eye on the little things. How does the counter experience go, how quickly does the food come to your table, etc. They passed exceptionally, I'm happy to say, on all fronts. The person at the counter was pleasant and easy to interact with. The food came out relatively quick, and someone came by at the appropriate time to bus our table (grab any trash). I was especially impressed with how smoothly things ran, considering how new the place is. All in all, I was really impressed with this place. Keep in mind they're not a dinner place (like a lot of the businesses around downtown Lexington), but they're definitely a fantastic breakfast and lunch place, and I most definitely want to stop back

Now mind you there were a lot of empty tables with "reserved" on them at that point. Fast forward an hour later, because we didn't get a txt from them, we went in to see what the story was. They proceeded to tell us it would be another 30 minutes. Also the seats that had "reserved" on them were still empty! They said they would take care of us, and walked us over to the bar side, and told us we would have to stand at the counter to eat! I was fuming. The other three from my party walked out, while i proceeded to tell the manager this was extremely poor service! All he could say was they were busy. I pointed out the empty tables that were empty when we first walked in an hour ago and are still empty! They finally gave us one of those tables. This morning, while at Momma Rabbit's Nibbles and Sips, my wife, our barely 2 year old son and a friend were told by who I assume to be one of the owners, that if she was not able to "quiet" my child down, she would have to "take him outside" for fear that he make start to "rile other kids that were there up, and we can't have that". My son, who, again is barely 2, sat in his high chair the entire time, threw not one piece of food on the ground, and sat as politely as a 2 year old could, occasionally cheering "YEAHH" whenever our friend or my wife did something he found entertaining. YES his voice was elevated the few times he cheered, YES there were SIX other children of varying ages in the restaurant all making noises (as all children do), YES it is a very casual restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, and YES there was a grown man sitting at a table near them talking on the phone, on speaker I will point out, for several minutes. So to say that both her and our friend were shocked would be the understatement of the year. We have visited this restaurant on countless occasions, with friends, with my wife, with my children, purchased freezer meals from them, done our parts of supporting a small local business, all to be told to quiet our child down who was making far less noise than many other people were in this restaurant. My wife spent most of her young adult and adult career working in and managing numerous successful restaurants spanning an almost 11 year period. I am appalled, disgusted, and saddened at this clear lack of compassion, professionalism, and customer service. And we wonder why moms are fearful to take their children out in public these days. We will unfortunately not return to Momma Rabbits, ever.

They opened at 11:00 and we walked in at 11:01, anxious to get our fish! The waitress was great and set us up quickly at a table and took our drink orders and brought us Guiness and teas. She heard all the chatter about the Fish N Chips and the next thing she said is "We don't have any beer batter yet, so no Fish N Chips! Immediately there were groans and moans. We had our beer and had come here specifically for the Fish N. Chips. She went back to check and returned saying "Yep, no beer batter so no Fish N Chips". Several of us joked that we may as well drink our beer and go next door to the Mongolian Yummy Stir fry place. We now started browsing for other menu items that we wanted. After about five minutes she came back out and said they could make up some batter but didn't know how long it would take. (How long does it take to stir up beer batter?). We said we'd wait. In the meantime two of our guys placed orders for the Scottish Eggs and Onion Rings for the table. They were both excellent. Three of us ordered the Fish N Chips and two had decided to go with the Bangers and Mash. One order for the Beef Eater sandwich, one Club Sandwich and one Rueben Sandwich. The food came out and the fish n chips were great. Not greasy, crispy, large haddock slice with great french fries. and green peas (which were barely luke ward, almost cold). The two guys with the Bangers and Mash loved it..Great sausage and the potatoes were excellent with mustard. The Rueben was great and also the Beef Eater. The waitress did a great job, checking on us throughout lunch. All in all, what started out as a questionable lunch turned into another fine lunch for the ROMEO group. The rating was 9.18 on the ROMEO scale...5.0 on Yelp scale. Only issue was something was wrong with the tea. It almost looked like water. Maybe because we were the first group in and the tea had just been made.

When the British Bulldog calls itself a "pub", I feel like it's one of the very few places that takes that moniker to heart. Even though it's located in somewhat of a strip-mall setting, once you walk inside the building, you're amazed by the authenticity of the inside. Personally, I loved the brick and wood that made up the interior, which gave the restaurant the realistic "pub" vibe that I mentioned earlier. Furthermore, I loved the framed, and hanging, soccer flags, which was a marked contrast to the professional and college sports paraphernalia at your typical American sports bar. I walked in kind of late, and just sat at the bar, which still made for a great experience. Even though it's an English restaurant, they still had a lot of the popular local and domestic beers, to go along with the more English-themed beverages. I asked if they had any "sours", and the bartender was kind enough to offer me a sample of the two (2) sours that they had on tap, and let me choose the one I liked the most. The aforementioned bartender was great, and I overheard him offering some folks from out-of-town with recommendations for nearby late-night spots and high-quality local joints. Finally, my simple order of chicken tenders and fries was pretty good, and I thoroughly enjoyed their steak-cut "chips," or French Fries. All-in-all, I waited too long to try out the British Bulldog, which was a great pub experience that definitely lived up to my high expectations. I'll definitely be coming back soon, and in turn, would recommend it to anybody else!
