There was continuous and steady progress, and I usually was invited over each week to check on the progress of work. The project was well timed. The initial estimate was for around 5 months. It ended up taking 5 months and 3 weeks. The small delay was due to city permitting back-and-forth and weather, which all seemed understandable. The cost estimate was also quite accurate. We only went less-than-10% over, and generally due to things that we decided to upgrade partway through, or issues we discovered only after tearing open the walls. They also had a one year warranty on issues with the work, which they have honored with no hassle. Ultimately the company acts with integrity, and in this industry that's saying a lot.

Luciano Luxury Construction is a 5 star company! They remodeled our kitchen and both our bathrooms and did a fantastic job. They took care of all the carpet, flooring, painting, new kitchen cabinets, new baseboards and recess lighting. Gustavo did a great job of scheduling every stage of the job. TLDR: Proceed with extreme caution. Offered us free work for positive reviews. The lack of…read moreoversight, accountability, and professionalism turned what should have been a straightforward renovation into a drawn-out, stressful ordeal. We recently completed an extensive renovation with D2A, including whole-home interior paint, full kitchen remodel, whole-home flooring, fireplace renovation, and upgraded electrical panel. We were promised an October 2025 completion, but the work did not finish until the end of April 2026. What could have been an exciting home project became prolonged, exhausting, and unnecessarily difficult. Dani/D2A operates far more as a sales-focused or front-facing contact than a contractor capable of actively managing a complex remodel. Once the contract was signed, the level of involvement and management dropped significantly. There was no meaningful oversight, no proactive quality control, and no walkthrough or presentation of completed areas or phases of work. We were left to give specific direction to workers directly and had to inspect everything ourselves at every stage, repeatedly reporting problems that should have been caught internally. The volume and severity of issues were unacceptable. Our stairs were initially installed with finishing nails sticking up and severely uneven steps that required a full redo; even after the redo, we were left with creaking steps that we accepted. Cabinet paint and installation required extensive correction, causing months of delays where we had no handles on our cabinets. The backsplash was installed incorrectly and had to be completely redone. Flooring was installed below standard over uneven foundation, with no mention of an option, added cost or not, to properly address it until after all work was completed. Correcting it then would have extended the construction-site state of our home for additional weeks, so we chose to cut our losses rather than endure another round of disruption. These were not minor punch-list items. They were obvious, avoidable mistakes reflecting a lack of basic craftsmanship, attention to detail, communication processes, and oversight. Instead of addressing these issues professionally, Dani was frequently defensive and dismissive, minimizing legitimate concerns rather than taking ownership. While all issues caused by his team's work except the uneven flooring were eventually corrected at no added monetary cost, this came only after weeks of debate and deflection. The eventual solution was asking us to take time off work to be present for all work done for weeks, despite our clear, detailed documentation of what needed to be done. Often, after we spent hours preparing a documented plan and providing it to D2A, workers would arrive and tell us they had never received the information, then look to us for direction. Our oversight got the job done, but it required costly time off from work and reduced the value of paying for a general contractor's expertise. As a married couple, we also experienced a clear and troubling difference in communication: when wife asked questions, responses were often belittling or disrespectful, while the same questions from husband were met with a noticeably more professional tone. The project extended roughly six additional months, and the repeated delays and rework resulted in real, out-of-pocket costs for our family. We had to stay in Airbnbs with our young child because the home was not safe to occupy during some stages of the extra construction. This disruption was avoidable and resulted from poor management and repeated mistakes. Perhaps most concerning, during the final sign-off, when the cost to correct the uneven foundation under the flooring was discussed, Dani offered to cover that work in exchange for both husband and wife leaving a positive review. Since online reviews played a role in our decision to hire D2A, this raises serious concerns about the integrity of their reputation. Proceed with extreme caution.

All trades were very respectful and did good work. We always knew when somebody was coming and around what time. There were no big surprises on cost changes. They warned us after removal of soffit there could be things that may cost more and there were. There were tons of communication wires that needed to be removed we didn't know were there. Water pex pipe had to be moved, etc. so we understood the extra cost. We love our kitchen and would recommend them! The cabinets are great, trim work is great, inside and outside window installation and stucco repair were done very well. Electrical and plumbing contractors were top notch. The only thing that needed a little improvement was the backsplash tile amount calculation. We had to order more twice! It was a good thing the material was fairly easy to get in Anaheim. The difference between Andres's quote with any of the other offers stood out like night and day. First and most importantly, Andres came out and spent over two hours looking at the work to be done, talking with us, and explaining all the possible issues that could come up. He was completely transparent, eager to answer every question we had with clarity and sincerity. Other contractors came out and did a rush job of measuring, threw out some figures and some with more extensive quotes than others, and there was always the possibility of a change order that could substantially increase the price. None of them clearly explained what needed to be done or what might be needed to be done, and none of them used their own staff-everything was hired out to one of their install teams. What made Andres's offer stand out way over any other was that he clearly explained everything that had to be done, or might have to be done, since doing wood flooring can open a number of issues that can crop up along the way. His quote, while slightly above our other offers, was the only all inclusive quote that would not include any change orders-every possible issue was included and he was willing to stick to his quote even if the job had issues along the way. This was especially true for our stairs. Andres also has his own crew and he is on site at the job, not spread thin doing multiple jobs at once. This means he will finish your job on time, and not stretch it out due to another job somewhere else. We were so comfortable with Andres after two visits, we decided to allow him to do the work while we were out of town. If any issues came up, he said he'd call or Facetime or send photos to discuss and explain. We were gone a week and one minor issue came up with the stair installation, which we resolved easily by phone and text. The crew left our home immaculate and clean, as if nobody had been there. They even moved a piano for us without any extra charge. Our neighbors remarked how immaculate and clean they were and covered all our furniture to prevent any work dust from covering things. The work and craftsmanship show in every way, and it's obvious Andres takes great pride in his work. We are extremely pleased with our flooring, and will be eager to hire Andres for other remodel projects.
