Adam did my ear piercing and listened to where I wanted the new piercing and Adam double checked before we proceeded with the piercing. But what most impressed me was how he prioritized Sanitation. I think he must have changed his gloves four times after he touched every item needed for the process. He explained aftercare very well. Checkout was wonderful too, they made sure that I knew how to contact them at any time if I had any other questions or concerns after the fact. We showed up 10 minutes early and waited for over an hour. Nik never showed up. We booked another appointment for another day/time and he showed up. We were his first tattoos and it was at 10:00 am. Nik took a couple shots of something prior to tattooing. I thought nothing of it because during prior conversations, he indicated that he was not a drinker . Daughter wanted a simple , minimalistic and small daisy behind her ear (black -no color ). My tattoo was going to take much longer . What she got was something that resembled a tube rose but actually looked more like male genitalia. He added red ink to said tattoo. My tattoo was to be a silhouette with background coloring. It looked more like a cartoonish character (asked for realistic) and the coloring was heavy in some areas and light in other areas and the coloring was NOT what I asked for . Nik wiped my back with one hand while resting the gun in the other hand on the back of my head. He dropped the gun and while it dropped, it knocked over the tray. He caught it by the cord before it hit the floor and for a moment I thought it was going to hit me. I sent him a DM and told him how unhappy we were. I was more concerned about my daughters tattoo than my own. His comeback was "you signed a waiver". I don't know what he was taking shots of that morning but his work that day was sloppy , careless, lacked simple directive, integrity and he was more than arrogant. He could have cared less about our concerns. Its a shame because I initially thought of him as down to earth, detail oriented and highly skilled. His pics on his page and website reflect amazing artistry , however for my daughter and I, we were more than disappointed and ended up paying twice for our tattoos by having tattoos covered up. In general, I want people to succeed. this applies to Nik as well but with that said , I would have preferred another no-show or cancellation over this experience .
