    Pork roll egg and cheese

If you are in the area you must go to Lucille's. Heck even if you're not in the area you must go. Hubby got cream chipped beef I had to do pork roll egg and cheese because that is a jersey staple. Everything was delicious and the employees are so friendly. The homemade pies and soups are incredible. We tried the fruit forest and piney clam chowder both were amazing.

On my way down to AC for a conference, two great friends invited me to lunch and boy am I glad I took them up on it. Spot is in the middle of nowhere basically but the food delivers. Super comfort food. Breakfast all day, outdoor seating, and stellar service. See the photos for yourself! Super straightforward here. Delicious comfort food.

Stopped here to see the Jersey Devil out front and also get a great breakfast. My sausage, egg and cheese sandwich was DELICIOUS and the Jersey Devil was cool. Fun to see the pics of Anthony Bourdain on the wall and friendly service, as well.

    Best apple pie ever-GET IT!!!

GO HERE AND GET THE APPLE PIE! it's to die for so I guess Anthony Bourdain was right! Apple pie alone is 5 stars and def one if not THE best I ever had. It tastes better than it looks! I would get them to go for any holiday or visiting someone's house or as a gift! And if you are driving by just stop in and get one to go! Trust me! They serve breakfast all day, until 2pm. Also, had 2 eggs over medium and fresh hash browns with real potatoes and fresh onions and seasoning! Needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs but no biggy. The toast was perfectly toasted and buttered. Kids enjoyed the egg whites and toast and shared the chocolate milkshake and rated it a 10 out of 10. Hub said Choc chip pancakes were the best because it tasted like a Choc chip muffin. Kids said they were too crispy on the outside but fluffy inside. I hate chocolate so can't comment on them at all but hub is picky and he liked them so I'd say they are pretty good! Had ice water and Earl gray tea and they weren't cheap with the tea bags so that's also a plus! Didn't see the Jersey Devil but maybe next time! I heard it will be back in October so we'll have to stop back to see it! We sat outside to enjoy this beautiful day in Jersey and there was a lot to look at around and okay I spy with. We left the phones back home and the kids actually played like kids used to do! The waitress was sweet and also brought out a big bucket of magnablox for the kids while we were waiting for our food and they had a cool tire swing playground area to keep the kids out of your hair while you finish your food or sit back and relax. Also had a cool set up of toy trucks which the boys used to love when younger! Glad we stopped here and if in the area I'd love to try the stuffed cabbage or Lucille's lunch and get more apple pie next time! The waitress also recommended the bread pudding French toast but I left here stuffed!

"I Ate With the Jersey Devil" reads my new long sleeved t-shirt, a souvenir of a breakfast enjoyed with family in the middle of the Pine Barrens at an old luncheonette restaurant out on Route 539, which is worth checking out if you're in South Jersey. The meal was sublime, I had a blueberry pancake which was as big as my head with ginormous berries and a slice of their homemade apple pie. The staff is very friendly and engaging and the service is excellent. Everyone has their own take away experience from Lucille's. Mine was five stars and two thumbs, way up

Omelette, grits, and toast. Top notch stuff.

An easy five stars. Lucille's serves the best omelette I've ever had. If you're passing through this part of the Pinelands, you should make a point of stopping by. A local institution, with a well-earned reputation.

CASH ONLY!!! This place is amazing and the food is great. Also has some history attached to it as well which i think is awesome. If you're in town and have cash make sure you stop here.

Great food and great service. Been going there for 40 years. Never got a Christmas discount coupon. Maybe it's time to try someplace else.

The young man who was our server was very friendly and helpful. The decor was seaside diner. Ordered at our table...a large western style omelette, fluffy and full of the extras, a French Toast egg sandwich (clean plate club), a plate with a pancake, over easy eggs, home fries and toast, all cooked perfectly. I had the triple decker grilled cheese with bacon and tomato (I think it was called the Happy Waitress), so good, bacon perfect. Recommended!

The flavors were a little bland and the chicken was cut too thick, which made it less enjoyable to eat. The home fries that came with it were also disappointing -- they seemed reheated rather than freshly made, and just didn't have that crisp, flavorful kick you hope for at a breakfast spot. My friends had different dishes, but their reactions were similar -- nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. We all left feeling like the food was a little underwhelming overall. The bathroom was serviceable but not especially clean, and while the service was fine, it wasn't anything that stood out as particularly attentive or warm. On the positive side, the decor was pleasant and gave the place a nice atmosphere. Honestly, that was probably the highlight of the experience for me. If Yelp allowed half-star ratings, I'd give it a 3.5 just for the vibe. All in all, Chicken & Egg isn't a bad place, but it didn't really impress. With so many options around, it's not somewhere I'd rush back to, but I wouldn't call it a total miss either -- more middle of the road.

We had an honest conversation and she assured me that they will be addressing the behavior and working towards preventing these kinds of issues in the future. She did not ask me to take down my previous review or make this update. All she did was take accountability for her staff, tried to get to the bottom of it, and looked to remedy the situation. This is truly an example how a business owner should behave and so kudos to you! I can tell from our interaction that she takes pride in her business and wants everyone to enjoy their time there. Although I still stand by my last review, I also want to edit my statement that I would never go back. I would give them a second try if I'm ever back in the area just based on how this situation was handled by management. Hoping that changes can be made positively in regard to service so it could match up with food/drinks and overall ambiance.
