    Dry tri tip from lucille
    Francesca P.

Food quality is just not what it is to be and it's sad. Use to be one of our favorite restaurants for date night but not anymore. The beef ribs made me so sick for day's, it was horrible. Nobody seems to care about the quality of the food!!

I'm disappointed.. Lucilles use to be my favorite but they took the rib tips and cheesy grits off the menu and you only get 3 beef ribs not 5 and you know those beef ribs don't really have no meat on them anyway so $37 dollars for 3 bones is crazy my ribs had more fat than meat and my bbq tri tips was really tough not tender at all and the apple butter tasted like butter barely had any apple flavor this was a waste of $100 I'm very disappointed and the service here was not that good also I don't know if it's cause we sat in the bar area or what but I don't think I will be ever returning to this place for bbq again..

We went there for a group of 6 on a Friday, so we had to wait a little bit but we got seated after waiting for 30 minutes. Our food was delicious and we were so happy with the free freshly baked biscuits. The place is packed. Restroom was clean. Our server Joshua was amazing!

I love Lucille's! They have the best biscuits and the apple cinnamon butter is delicious! They have the best potato salad! The deviled eggs are elevated to the max. The chicharron on top is the perfect touch and taste. Service is good. Staff is welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is nice and clean. No complaints!

Wow. I never would have stopped in if I would have checked Yelp first. 3.7....really? The biscuits have a hard exterior but to make them with have a crunchy yumminess. The deviled eggs with chicken chicharrones were tasty. But the bbq...the half chicken was moist and tender, the meat fell off the St. Louis Rib, and the sauces!!!! We ended with their signature banana pudding which served in a mason jar was delightful. Sharon our server was also great. Attentive and being our first time she gave us amazing suggestions. All in all we found this bbq to be pretty great and walked our way too full!

    Empty tables not being cleaned

So, things were good in the beginning. Bread came out, drinks came out, and order was taken. Prior to us being sat down the tables were like this already. Mind you this picture was after we were done eating and I got to just stare and more things that were wrong. My drink was filled only once but that was after all this. Was asked if I needed a refill and was forgotten. I understand that you are busy but if ask a customer if they want a refill, you should probably not forget. Food came and I ordered 2 meat combo and asked for double meat and the picture is what I received. The meal is $25 for 8 pieces, I asked the person that dropped off the meal and they confirmed it was a double order. Super oily and meat was dry, the only part not dry was the fat that was there. After we were done with our food the tables were still not cleaned and the manager went to clean up.

We walked in last week Wednesday, about 30 minutes after opening. Not was not busy at all, and we were seated immediately. The waiter was friendly. Food was great, but the shredded bbq chicken was minimally shredded. That was a little disappointing. Fried pickles were so tasty, a must try. I had an issue with was their menus. My menu had dried food stuck on there. Lucille's do better and clean your menus please.

Happy hour menu is a great deal and so is the lunch special we came at 3 so we were able to order off lunch and happy hour at 4 if seated in bar area. Drinks were reasonably priced 7-9.00 which is great and had a decent amount of alcohol in them . We ordered some apps and Vanessa our server was very friendly and attentive . The apps queso dip 2/5and onion 1/4straws very salty were not that great I wouldn't recommend them but the warm biscuits and three item bbq plate was great the meat was flavorful the chicken was the best . I do have to agree the food all was lukewarm warm which was disappointing. The only thing that arrived hot was the fries that my mom made sure to tell server I need these fresh out the fryer. I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area .

Great service and even tastier food. Lots of great choices and awesome atmosphere. Christopher was our server and he was on top of it. Very polite, checked on us often and even made the experience more enjoyable

We came in for lunch right around opening. Very clean spacious atmosphere. We were greeted at the front door by a lovely young man who sat us right away. We were then greeted by Courtney who took excellent care of us. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and my husband got the two meat combo. I will say, portions are on the small side compared to the pricing but overall food was flavorful and service was excellent.

As mentioned in previous reviews of mine, I do not review establishments "hard" or "easy." Rather, I give a straightforward and honest look to let others "see what I see," in order to make good decisions for themselves (in my opinion, the essence of Yelp). Even with restaurants with much improvement needed, I usually am able to find at least one positive during the visit - for Lucille's (Temecula Promenade location), not one positive was identified. With much to review, I will summarize in bullet points for ease (preventing one run-on sentence and paragraph). Observations: * Cleanliness: at arrival, we were seated and realized there is much cleaning opportunity (my wife had to ask for a second cloth napkin just so she could place her purse on the "greasy" seat next to her); Additionally (see pictures of the "buttons" in the seat backs as one example) - needing a thorough cleaning * Appetizer: We ordered the "Onion Straws" as we love onion rings - However, I would not recommend these Onion Straws to anyone - difficult to eat, little flavoring, and overly greasy * Main courses: Both our meals arrived with the food barely lukewarm (borderline cool); if not in a hurry, we would have sent them back. The brisket was so tough you could not chew it (both of us tried and failed) - this was returned for pulled pork. The pulled pork in two separate meals was so dry, we had to "drown" it in barbecue sauce to give it moisture. The side of (~$6 upcharge) salad was obviously from a pre-bagged restaurant supply purchase with no extra effort or ingredients added (not worth the money). My side of okra was nearly inedible (I only took a couple bites), did not even taste like okra, and was basically a, "mini grease sponge." * Service/Server: The server was nice enough and provided a decent level of attention. However, when receiving borderline-cool food, I wonder how much of that problem could be directed to service (i.e., how long did the plate of food sit before being brought to the table?). We were given to-go trays prior to leaving but both of us agreed that the leftovers were not worthy of a trip home. We were last here at this location shortly after they opened (2010-ish), were driven back this time due to a gift card we received that was collecting dust, but left this time agreeing that a return here would not be in our future. Wondering about this location, how their arrival wait time was 10 - 30 minutes yet over half of the restaurant tables were empty, I realize that due to them being co-located with the mall, they will always get a certain amount of inbound foot traffic (regardless of food and service quality).

    First timers Great Vibe
    Marie S.

Lucille's Smokehouse never disappoints. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive without feeling rushed. The food? Absolutely on point -- tender, flavorful BBQ that tastes like it's been smoked to perfection. The sides were just as good as the mains, and portions were generous. It's the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. Consistently great food, great service, and a comfortable, family-friendly vibe. Highly recommend!

What attracted me was the Texas Style BBQ and I've read plenty of positive reviews saying the BBQ is legit. Last Saturday on July 4th we made our way to Temecula to dine at the Swing Inn Cafe & BBQ. The town was packed due to a 250th birthday celebration parade. The parade blocked us from getting to the restaurant. We had to wait until it was over which was like 20 minutes. At the hostess station we were advised it would be a 45 minutes wait for a party of 5. The place was busy with customers but the employees did an excellent job in providing great service. 20 minutes later we were seated outside. There were six parties ahead of us but they didn't show when called. Guess they got tired of waiting. I ordered a full rack of the pork spare ribs with smoked beans as my one side. But when I got my food I had an extra side of smoked beans. The ribs were tender, thick and the meat came of the bone easily. It had a nice smokey taste and the smoked beans complimented the meat. I have to admit one of the best spare pork ribs I had in my life. My mom got the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes and gravy. The chicken fried steak was seasoned well and very tender. My step dad ordered Large Brisket plate with coleslaw. And my brother and sister in law both got the 2 meat plate with smoked turkey and brisket with sides of macaroni and cheese and smoked beans. The beef brisket and smoke turkey was very good according to my family. For dessert I got the cinnamon roll a popular item, step dad and mom shared a slice of apple pie and my brother got the coconut cream pie. Everything was very sweet and delicious. We were hoping to catch Dean but I figured he was probably spending time with family on this holiday. We will return and hopefully he will be there so we can let him know how much we loved his food and acting.

Temecula is hot for a good part of the year.  I noticed they had misters on the patio which had a wonderful cooling effect.  I liked the old building housing the cafe.  Inside it feels like the old days. I ordered a rack of pork ribs with onion rings.  Onion rings were panko battered and had a crunchy exterior and nice onion flavor.  Ribs were coated with a delicious peppery dry rub.  The center of the ribs was tender and juicy.  I loved the mix of pork and smoky peppery flavor of these ribs. I also sampled the beef brisket.  Beef was tender and juicy.  The dry rub gave the brisket a delicious peppery flavor to go with the smoky beef flavor. Great tasting bbq here and the server was nice and efficient.  Next time I'm gonna order a half pound of brisket and pulled pork. Jesse: Wait, wait, hold up! I normally wouldn't have ordered the sausage, but I'm so glad I did! It was smoky, juicy, and reminded me of a really good kielbasa. It ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal. The onion rings were perfectly crispy, the BBQ was flavorful, and the portions were huge. I only ate about a quarter of my meal before I was completely full, so I'll easily get two or three meals out of it. For some reason, I just never made it back here; probably because the Promenade area isn't usually along our route. Coming here tonight genuinely brightened my day. I had just finished a long shift and a commute, and all I wanted was a good, comforting meal. My nutritionist told me yesterday need to significantly increase my protein intake to help reduce muscle loss related to my autoimmune thyroid condition. KBBQ seemed like the perfect choice; lots of protein without a lot of unnecessary junk. On my way home, I stopped at two other KBBQ restaurants. Apparently, I was unaware of the unspoken rule that some places don't serve parties of one on weekends. One restaurant even had me wait 25 minutes before telling me they wouldn't seat a solo diner during the weekend. Unfortunately, my husband is currently deployed, so being a party of one isn't exactly a choice for me right now! Normally, dining alone doesn't bother me at all, but today it got to me. I was exhausted and simply wanted a comforting meal. Being turned away after waiting 25 minutes just because I by myself was the last thing I needed. When I called this restaurant, the owner or manager immediately answered and was incredibly friendly. He explained that they offer entrée and plate options for guests who aren't doing the all-you-can-eat menu. I honestly don't understand why more restaurants don't offer this. I know the food industry is competitive and businesses have to make money, but having options for solo diners makes such a difference. When I arrived, I received wonderful service right away, and there was no wait, but they were full. The owner or manager recognized me as the person who had called earlier and went out of his way to make me feel welcome since we found out we're from the same area. He even added a little surprise to my order simply out of kindness. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. In an area with no shortage of restaurants, I want to give this place the credit it deserves, not only for the excellent food, but for the heart behind the business. Today, I'm especially grateful for the kindness and generosity shown to me. You never know what someone may be going through, and a simple act of thoughtfulness can make a bigger impact than you realize. His kindness truly lifted my spirits after a long and difficult day. I believe this is a small family-owned business, and they absolutely deserve the support of the community. Great food is easy to find; genuine hospitality is much harder to come by. I'll definitely be back!

Sorry, I have no choice but to be solo bc my husband is deployed. That was irksome and so inconvenient considering the time wasted waiting for nothing. Silver lining, and the real reason I am posting...as I was walking out, a man heard me get rejected for dining and the guy went after me to ask if I wanted to sit with him and his group. I just wanted to thank him for his kindness and I apologize if I walked away quickly. I was a bit embarrassed waiting that long only to be denied service. Thank you sir, you are proof that there are still good people in the world. You made an embarrassing ordeal, a moment to be grateful for. I'm blessed to encounter good people. God Bless you and your heart. Same to your group, whether it was friends or family.
