1. The shop itself: This place is beautiful. As soon as you walk in, you will be warmly greeted by someone. It could be staff working the counter or one of the artists. They will do walk-ins if someone isn't with a client, but it's best to make an appointment. It is best to check out the artists BEFORE you go, but if not, someone will be able to help you if they have a break. There is a style for everyone at LB. Anything from American Traditional to New School is here (sorry no trash-polka I think). There is no flash to browse (although some of the artists have pre-made stencils if you'd like). Each artist has his/her own booth that reflects their personality. It's private as it needs to be and still open. It's a great atmosphere, light-hearted but professional. The artists charge by the hour, but they are good, fast workers. You're not paying for them to goof off. Like I said, they are professionals. 2. The Artists: a. Shana Hall Shana is a super talented artist. I've received 3 tattoos from her. She is an expert in color theory, while not being afraid of black. Her deep commitment to bold and black makes her color leap off the skin. My first tattoo from Shana was a TCB (Elvis emblem). My second tattoo was something that I wanted and she delivered. I asked her for a great white shark and she blew away my expectation. I also have a military tribute piece. b. Shannon Taber Shannon is a super talented artist. I have 2 tattoos from Shannon. One was a convention piece that I brought to him and he was gracious enough to give me exactly what I wanted. My second piece was my idea and his design. I asked for a Macho-Man Randy Savage in a neo-traditional style. Without hesitation, Shannon said yes (ooh yeah). I couldn't have been more satisfied. Both of my artists are awesome and I'd recommend them to anyone. My wife also has two from Shana and one from Shannon. I've been in the shop several times and all the artists are really down to earth, cool people. We love Lucky Bird. read more

Followed my artist here, so Iam not going to review base on him, of course he is amazing! That's why I followed him!!! (Adam Harrison) This is based solely on the shop alone. I went in for my first visit for a consult, the shop is easy to access and has plenty of parking (around back). When I first walked in I was greeted and helped promptly. The front desk dude (can't remember his name) was super friendly and helpful, I went to my artists room for my consult and noticed the whole shop was very clean and well designed. Each artist has a private space that is open at the same time, it was a cool lay out. I scheduled my appointment and put down my deposit. One thing to keep in mind, which wasn't an issue at all for me, is that the deposit is non refundable and non transferable, so don't be dumb. When I went in for my tattoo I got to meet some of the other artist and everyone seemed really cool and down to earth. The way you would expect a tattoo studio to be. Best tattoo shop I have been to. None of the artists have a chip on their shoulders and they are willing to pass off a tattoo to one of the other artists if it they feel it can be done with better artistry and quality. I had an appointment with Scott for piercing services and was exceptionally pleased with everything. First of all, COVID procedures are clearly being followed...when the staff is carrying out their own precautions as if by muscle memory, you know that they're really adhering to it and not just engaging in theatrics for the customer. I actually moved away and I noticed one of my tattoos healed with thinner lines than what I wanted so I reached out to him. Went here for my first piercing ever besides lobes, and it was great! I got my septum done for $50. No appointments for piercings, they're walk in only. It's probably best to call ahead and ask about the wait times, luckily when I went in there was no one ahead of me, but a small wait due to the piercer, Scott, to do some paper work I believe it was. He's also the manager so I totally understand. I'm a baby around needles but Scott was super nice and calming and got me through it. I'm super happy with my piercing and it's nearly healed it looks like! Aside from a bit of soreness upon touching the piercing or my nose too hard and a little itchiness, there wasnt pain even after the piercing was done. Since I put an email in at the front desk I got a PDF emailed to me all about tattoo and piercing after care. Overall really great first piercing experience! Overcharged for tattoos. Was initially told my $120 deposit would cover the cost. Artist only used 45 minutes of my allotted 2 hour appointment. Total charge - $200. When questioned, was told the rate is $160 an hour. This math does not add up. Contacted owner by email, never received a reply. Tattoo is literally 8 black lines.
