    Make your own hibachi dish.
    John L.

This establishment had gone through a couple of ownership over the past. It is located conveniently off Route 1 Highway and Route 40 exit, at the end of the Governor's Square plaza. Plenty of rooms and tables on the inside, with a large party room. Most of the entrees served are American Chinese. So if you're looking for authentic provincial Chinese cuisine, this is not the place. However, it does have a hibachi grill that offers most of the meat choices and stir ins. The BBQ ribs and wings are surprisingly tasty as well. The drinks are self serve, same as silverware and chopsticks. Pricing seems at par with other buffets in the area.

Ok so this used to be Tappanyaki Chinese Buffet, but after Covid years it became " Lucky Buffet ". Flavors for the entire buffet is good, and Most people I go with give this buffet a 8 out of 10. One great thing is the Soda (Pepsi products) Is included in price , it's all you can drink and they have a help yourself Soda Bar. This buffet has a grab and go Ice Cream freezer of pre- packaged Ice Cream Bars and Cups. No fresh scoop your own Ice Cream! Sushi is good here, but nothing super unique or different. Pretty straight forward sushi choices. Tastes good. Parking is safe and plentiful outside. There's a Library next door! It's a Safe area. They do allow Carry out also, sold by the pound. (Fill your styrofoam box up ):

Prices are pretty expensive that's why we haven't been back in a very long while. Food is decent but nothing to really write home about.

I would recommend this place if the food was hot. The food was cold and they knew it. They even pointed out they had microwaves. Like really

There was only one hand sanitizing station near the front so I constantly had to walk back to the front sanitize my hands before eating my meal. There were no steaks here either oh and the banana pudding did not have any bananas in it. Nothing screamed five stars, but it wasn't that bad either.

So I was pretty excited to have supper here. I'm not too sure, what difference it makes that is connected to the flying j truck stop? Do regular people think that truck stops are just full of filth? I mean some of them are, but this isn't one of them. It shouldn't really make a difference what a business is connected to, because it's an independent entity. I walked in in the late evening, place was super busy. Now I'm going to digress a bit, but with buffets the ABSOLUTE OPTIMAL TIME to go to a buffet is when it is busy and packed. The more people, the more food they cook, the more fresh food comes out. If you go into a buffet trying to avoid the crowd, you're not going to get the freshest food available, because they're not going to be cooking for 200 people, with only 15 in the restaurant, so keep that in mind. I think that's where some of these bad reviews come in. Anyhow, you pay up front and order your drink. The kid at the register was kind of strange, but that's just youngsters in the workforce these days. It didn't dawn on me until afterwards, but they ask you if you want cash back, and it's for the tip for the girl that gets your soda and cleans your plates. I went back after the fact and just had the nice kid put five bucks on my card and give me cash so I could give her some gratuity. While we're on the subject of her, she was super nice, kept my drinks full, kept my table cleared, and was constantly cleaning and sweeping the floor the entire time I was there. and AND we're interacting with literally all of the customers, which I found pretty impressive. She's obviously a local gal, and personally knew some of the patrons. That's huge for me, so maybe this is a five star review. I noticed a couple other girls constantly cleaning and sweeping also. I didn't order any custom grilled steaks, or anything like that, but I did manage to cover probably at least 80% of the buffet itself. Everything from salads, to soups, to dumplings, to dessert, to the rest of the food. Did I absolutely love every single thing I got? Not particularly. But in an overall general sense everything was absolutely great. The place was packed, which means they were constantly bringing out fresh trays of food. Probably everything that I got, was hot and fresh. The only thing that look like it was sitting there for a good while was the chili, but then again, who actually eats chili? Gross. I guess the decorum is your typical golden corral. Like I said I haven't been in one in over 20 years, but they had typical signage, a ton of tables, which were mostly taken, I actually had to seek a table out in the back because they were so busy but they were also playing country music which was nice. I am a super foodie, I've owned a bar and grill, and I cook a lot of food and smoke a lot of meat when I'm home, so don't listen to these other reviews. Just keep in mind that it's important that you go when it's busiest, that's when you'll get the best experience, and the freshest food. Tah tah for now my little festerlings!! The presentation of the food was poor, and the quality wasn't much better. There weren't many choices, although maybe that was because we went during lunch. What really bothered me was seeing a customer who didn't wash his hands, which was extremely concerning from a cleanliness standpoint. Overall, it was not worth a penny in my opinion. Keep driving--don't even slow down. You'd be better off going to McDonald's.

They , pick up food with their hands on the buffet, And the Biggist one is ice cream machine. My Table was directly across from the machine. I watch child after child go up, play with the ice cream machine. Stick Their Hands in the flow of it. Absolutely disgusting. They just aren't being supervised by their parents and the staff is too busy to watch them. My suggestion is to move that somewhere else in the restaurant. So somebody can watch it. I also watched a group of teenagers get out of control when their mother went to the bathroom. They were throwing food and I felt so bad for the server. Baby, you need some buddy walking around.Checking this stuff out , especially on a weekend when you are so busy.

The restaurant was busy due to the holiday, but the staff managed everything well and kept the buffet running smoothly. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, especially for seafood lovers. We really enjoyed the crab legs, which were refilled frequently and tasted fresh. The shrimp dishes--including fried shrimp and garlic shrimp--were flavorful and well cooked. There was also a good selection of fish, mussels, clams, and seafood stir-fry, which made the seafood section the highlight of the meal. In addition to seafood, Ichiban had plenty of Asian and American-style dishes. The hibachi grill was popular, allowing you to choose fresh ingredients like chicken, beef, shrimp, and vegetables cooked right in front of you. Sushi lovers will appreciate the sushi and sashimi selection, which included rolls, nigiri, and fresh fish options. The Chinese classics such as General Tso's chicken, lo mein, fried rice, and dumplings were tasty and comforting. Dessert options included cakes, cookies, fruit, and ice cream, which were perfect for ending the meal. Overall, the food quality, variety, and festive atmosphere made our New Year's Day visit enjoyable. Ichiban Seafood Buffet is a solid choice if you're looking for variety, generous portions, and a satisfying buffet experience. We would definitely visit again, especially for special occasions.
